[00:00:08] Foosball Radio, On the Road, once again in the Great Lakes Classic right here in Lansing, Michigan. Having a fantastic weekend. We've been talking to a lot of people, a lot of winners, a lot of players, and having a great time.

[00:00:31] And, of course, now I'm joined by two top players in the room. First of all, I want to introduce Alex Romero to Foosball Radio, On the Road. Hello, Alex.

    [00:00:42] Hi, how's it going?

[00:00:43] Nice to meet you, man.

[00:00:44] Very nice to meet you as well.

[00:00:45] And now the person to my right, I think we know from a couple of episodes before.

    [00:00:50] Yeah.

[00:00:50] So welcome back, Sam, to lift up the microphone to your face.

    [00:00:55] How's it going?

[00:00:55] Going well. So welcome back to Foosball Radio, On the Road, Sam DiJohn.

    [00:01:01] Yeah.

[00:01:02] Applause, please. Thank you very much.

    [00:01:03] Let's go, boy.

[00:01:04] Yo, yo. But so here we are. You guys just got done playing. So, Alex, what happened today? What, what, give the highlights. What happened?

[00:01:15] I mean, we took down Pro Doubles. That's always, that's my first time taking Pro Doubles, so I'm super stoked on that.

[00:01:20] We're not. Me and Sam have played before. We took third at Nationals, so we've been hunting it down and glad we finally got it done.

[00:01:27] Oh, man, that's fun. Congratulations. So, Pro Doubles, Sam, how's that feel?

[00:01:34] It feels great. It feels great to have another Pro Doubles title under the belt.

    [00:01:38] No doubt, man.

    [00:01:39] Yeah.

[00:01:39] So, how many so far have you won in Pro Doubles or in Pro?

    [00:01:43] Like four or five.

    [00:01:44] Like 15?

    [00:01:46] Oh, that's exactly right.

[00:01:47] This guy's the future, man.

    [00:01:49] Like four or five.

[00:01:49] This guy's the future for sure.

[00:01:50] This is the future. And keep that microphone close so we can hear your comments.

    [00:01:54] Four or five.

[00:01:54] Four or five. All right. But yeah, so Alex, when did you start playing foosball? How old were you?

[00:02:01] So, I went into a bar with some friends. I think I was like 22, 23, something like that.

    [00:02:08] Okay. Okay.

[00:02:09] Yeah, I'm 31 now, so I've been, well, actually, I've only been.

    [00:02:11] You're 31? I thought you were like, I don't know, 19, 20?

[00:02:14] Right on, man. I appreciate that, yeah. Looking young's always good. But no, I think my first tournament was in 2017.

[00:02:21] That was the first time I went to anything that I, it was Colorado State. It was the first thing I ever seen like that.

[00:02:25] It was like that, so.

    [00:02:26] Okay.

[00:02:27] So, from then on, so what's that? We won in 2024, so that's six, seven years.

    [00:02:31] Something like that.

[00:02:32] Yeah, six or seven years.

    [00:02:33] Yeah.

[00:02:33] Wow. So, did you ever imagine when you first started playing and you'd end up in a tournament, like a state-level tournament?

    [00:02:41] You'd take first place?

[00:02:42] You know, I mean, when I found out, you know, the local scene was pretty popping when I was first starting out where I lived in this little area.

[00:02:49] And yeah, I started coming and I won like beginner stuff and I got hooked right away.

[00:02:55] So, I mean, this was the goal from when I started.

[00:02:59] So, I mean, I'm pretty content where I'm at right now, for sure.

[00:03:02] So, where are you from originally?

    [00:03:03] From Pueblo, Colorado.

    [00:03:05] Nice.

[00:03:06] You've got a great scene out in Colorado.

    [00:03:07] Yeah.

    [00:03:08] Oh, fantastic, man.

[00:03:09] We've got like seven, eight Masters every weekend.

[00:03:12] So, if you like foods, there's a buffet out there.

[00:03:15] Have you played against Todd?

    [00:03:16] I have.

[00:03:17] I actually just played against him last weekend, actually.

[00:03:19] Yeah, he's, Todd's still the Duke, man.

    [00:03:22] He's still the man.

    [00:03:24] He's incredible.

    [00:03:25] Truly amazing.

[00:03:26] He makes it look effortless, too.

[00:03:28] So, Sam, I mean, you've played with a lot of players.

[00:03:32] How's it working out with Alex?

    [00:03:34] What's the chemistry like?

[00:03:37] I'd say our chemistry comes from our friendship, honestly, because I've known him since, like, I think my first Colorado State.

    [00:03:44] We started together, almost.

[00:03:45] Yeah, we played each other in amateur doubles final.

    [00:03:48] Oh, no kidding.

    [00:03:48] That's how we met.

[00:03:50] Yeah, and we've been good friends since.

[00:03:52] And then I finally started, I finally played with him at Nationals.

    [00:03:54] We got third, so.

    [00:03:56] Nationals, yeah.

    [00:03:57] That's fantastic.

[00:03:58] So, yeah, so, and as far as you're concerned, you've had a lot of partners.

    [00:04:03] How does Alex rate?

[00:04:04] Is he up there with the rest of them?

    [00:04:07] Yeah.

    [00:04:08] Cool.

[00:04:08] Definitely, I play with him again.

    [00:04:09] Play with him whenever.

    [00:04:10] Let's go, buddy.

    [00:04:11] Anytime, man.

    [00:04:12] Nice.

    [00:04:13] Nice.

[00:04:13] So, Sam, what's going on this next year?

[00:04:15] Are you going to Spain?

    [00:04:19] Definitely in the air.

[00:04:20] I mean, it's in the air, but it's good chance.

    [00:04:22] Very good chance.

    [00:04:22] Good chance.

    [00:04:23] I've qualified for a couple things.

[00:04:25] So, you qualify for juniors.

[00:04:27] Qualified for open singles, too.

[00:04:29] I qualified for open singles.

    [00:04:31] Classic.

    [00:04:32] Yeah, that's it.

[00:04:33] So, you could play juniors or the men's team.

[00:04:36] Yeah, whatever they want me to do.

    [00:04:38] All right.

    [00:04:38] I'm up for whatever.

    [00:04:39] He's good for whatever.

    [00:04:41] Yeah.

    [00:04:41] Just let me know.

[00:04:42] Yeah, it's such an honor, man, to represent your country.

[00:04:44] I feel like that's super incredible that you got three entries to that.

    [00:04:48] That's great.

    [00:04:49] Yeah.

    [00:04:49] So, what about yourself?

[00:04:50] Do you think you'd like me to go to Spain?

    [00:04:53] I don't know.

    [00:04:53] I'm thinking about it.

[00:04:54] I was thinking about the Costa Rica one.

    [00:04:57] Right.

[00:04:57] I've always wanted to go there, too.

[00:04:59] But, yeah, I mean, Spain would be amazing.

    [00:05:02] Yeah.

[00:05:02] I would totally do it.

[00:05:03] I've been thinking about it, but I don't know.

[00:05:06] If I went to Europe, I think I'd maybe go tour around, like check stuff out.

    [00:05:11] Yeah, for sure.

[00:05:13] Yeah, especially because, like, I'm sure Sam plays on those other tables.

    [00:05:16] He has great experience.

    [00:05:17] I have not.

[00:05:18] I don't even mess with Bonzini or any of that stuff.

    [00:05:21] Okay.

[00:05:21] So, I mostly just play Tornado, so I know that's kind of not going to be my strong suit, you

    [00:05:26] know?

[00:05:26] Well, that's the problem, right?

[00:05:27] You go to Europe and you've got all these different tables.

    [00:05:29] Mm-hmm.

    [00:05:30] Yeah.

[00:05:30] Five tables to play on at the World Cup, and if you don't have experience on four of them.

    [00:05:35] Yeah, right.

    [00:05:36] Exactly.

    [00:05:36] So.

[00:05:37] I feel like I'm just a hacker on Bonzini.

    [00:05:39] I don't know what I'm doing.

    [00:05:40] There's a Bonzini right outside.

    [00:05:41] I know.

[00:05:42] Yeah, we were trying to mess on that.

    [00:05:43] I couldn't even set up a ball.

[00:05:44] Sam is great at Bonzini.

    [00:05:45] He is, yeah.

    [00:05:46] He's good.

[00:05:47] You can tell he's played on it for a good amount of time.

[00:05:49] He's got an extra one kicking around his basement.

    [00:05:52] Yep, yep.

    [00:05:53] That's a good tool.

[00:05:54] How many people can say that?

[00:05:55] How much time do you spend on the Bonzini?

[00:05:57] Not a lot of time, honestly.

    [00:05:59] More than you.

[00:05:59] It's only when Tommy comes over, maybe, and before the World Cup.

[00:06:04] He just name-dropped Tommy York.

    [00:06:06] Yeah.

    [00:06:06] Do you know that?

    [00:06:07] Yeah.

    [00:06:07] Name-dropped him.

    [00:06:08] Tommy's a stud, man.

    [00:06:09] He's a great player.

    [00:06:10] Dude.

    [00:06:10] He's a monster.

    [00:06:12] I can't tell you.

[00:06:12] In the 518 in Albany, New York, when he first said, I'm moving to town, that was almost two years ago.

    [00:06:21] Yeah.

    [00:06:21] Now I'm like, what?

    [00:06:23] You're moving to Albany?

    [00:06:25] He was like, what?

    [00:06:26] Okay.

    [00:06:27] What are you doing?

    [00:06:28] Okay.

    [00:06:29] Right.

[00:06:30] I mean, we knew right away, first of all, he was going to bring a lot more people back into the sport, and sure enough.

[00:06:36] You know, Kevin Walker's back.

[00:06:39] There's some great players that are coming back.

[00:06:40] I was telling Sam, actually, shout-out to Raymond Cordova.

[00:06:43] He runs the Colorado scene.

    [00:06:45] Yes.

[00:06:45] He got Tom Spear to come back, bro.

[00:06:47] So the last weekend I played, I got to play against Tom Spear, so that was such a sick experience.

    [00:06:53] Oh, my God.

    [00:06:54] Yeah.

[00:06:54] Yeah, I saw the images on Facebook.

    [00:06:57] Yeah.

[00:06:57] I'm like, wait, wait, wait.

    [00:06:58] He looks amazing.

    [00:06:59] And it's crazy, man.

[00:07:00] He hadn't touched the table, I don't even know, probably at least 20 years.

[00:07:04] I don't know how long it's been since he touched the table, but he was beating teams that were, like, good, amateur, expert players.

    [00:07:09] Just, like, no problem.

    [00:07:11] No problem.

[00:07:11] And he actually was playing with a beginner, which was even crazier.

    [00:07:14] No kidding.

[00:07:15] It was great to see him back out, and hopefully he keeps coming out, man.

[00:07:18] I know he was such a staple to the game for so long.

    [00:07:20] Yes.

[00:07:21] I mean, just a brilliant, brilliant player.

    [00:07:23] Yeah.

[00:07:24] Some of the best five-row maneuvers of anybody to play in the game.

    [00:07:26] Yeah.

[00:07:26] To play in the game.

    [00:07:27] I mean, I've heard the stories.

    [00:07:28] I've watched him play.

[00:07:29] I'm just kind of like, what the heck?

[00:07:30] He's just so simple but so good.

    [00:07:31] It's crazy.

    [00:07:32] I'm jealous.

    [00:07:33] Yeah.

[00:07:33] It was fun to see him come back and just see him get into it.

[00:07:36] I hope he sticks with it.

    [00:07:37] That would be awesome.

    [00:07:38] Well, maybe next year.

    [00:07:39] Yeah.

    [00:07:39] You never know.

    [00:07:40] You never know.

[00:07:41] Hopefully Colorado State comes back next year.

    [00:07:43] Yeah.

    [00:07:43] Yeah.

    [00:07:43] You know?

    [00:07:44] Yeah.

[00:07:44] That would be great to see him again.

    [00:07:45] Dude.

[00:07:46] So, speaking of next year, I've got to ask you about Sam.

[00:07:50] Besides World Cup, where are you going?

    [00:07:53] This year?

    [00:07:54] 2025.

    [00:07:55] Yeah.

[00:07:56] I'm going to Vegas, I know for sure.

    [00:07:58] Okay.

[00:07:58] We'll be at TKO and probably Wisconsin.

    [00:08:02] Wisconsin.

[00:08:03] I'm trying to pick some because I've got to focus on school.

    [00:08:07] True.

[00:08:08] Just picking out the better tournaments to go to.

    [00:08:10] Makes sense.

    [00:08:11] Well, that's in December.

    [00:08:12] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:08:13] How about if the ITSF comes back and does a World Series?

    [00:08:18] I don't know.

[00:08:19] I mean, I like the World Series.

    [00:08:22] I like it a lot.

    [00:08:23] And you did great.

    [00:08:25] You did amazing.

    [00:08:26] You did all right.

    [00:08:27] You did all right.

[00:08:27] It was harder because it was a men's singles with everybody.

[00:08:31] Yeah, and all the European players were here.

    [00:08:33] Yeah, too.

    [00:08:33] They're tough.

    [00:08:33] Oh, really tough.

[00:08:36] So, how about for you?

    [00:08:37] 20, 25?

[00:08:38] I mean, I usually hit a good five or six.

    [00:08:42] So, we'll see.

[00:08:43] I mean, I'm definitely planning to go to Louisiana.

    [00:08:45] Okay.

[00:08:46] And then, definitely excited to see Ryan take over.

[00:08:49] That's going to be cool.

[00:08:50] I definitely want to try and hit up his first stop because, you know, that's going to be

[00:08:53] Ryan, you know, Ryan does it big no matter what he's doing.

    [00:08:56] He doesn't go halfway.

    [00:08:57] No, yeah.

[00:08:57] You know it's going to be.

[00:08:58] I'm excited to just see what the difference is between from Mary running the tour to now Ryan that's running it.

    [00:09:03] Because, you know, Ryan's a showman.

[00:09:05] He's going to find a way to put us on the map.

    [00:09:08] Yeah.

[00:09:08] And it's going to be good, man.

    [00:09:09] I'm excited for that.

    [00:09:10] So, you're rated a pro?

    [00:09:10] Yeah.

[00:09:11] I just turned pro and then they bumped me back down.

[00:09:14] And now that I want here, I'm sure I'm going to turn pro.

    [00:09:17] Okay.

    [00:09:17] But we're right there.

    [00:09:18] Yeah.

    [00:09:19] Yeah, yeah.

[00:09:19] So, I mean, the kind of win today and that should bump up your points.

    [00:09:23] I mean, I was at like $299.99.

[00:09:25] And so, this I'm assuming that I should go.

[00:09:27] But you never know with the point system.

[00:09:29] So, I'm just here to run it up on whatever as long as I can, whatever.

    [00:09:33] I've got to say, it's exciting.

    [00:09:37] You're in your 30s?

    [00:09:38] Yeah, 31, man.

    [00:09:39] Wow.

    [00:09:40] Yeah.

[00:09:40] How many people turn pro?

[00:09:42] I mean, it's tough to turn pro when you're young.

    [00:09:45] Right.

[00:09:45] When you're older, it's even more difficult.

    [00:09:47] It really is.

[00:09:48] I was actually talking to somebody about that.

[00:09:50] We were talking about if there's any elite masters that didn't start under the age of 18.

[00:09:57] And we couldn't really think of anybody.

    [00:09:58] So, it was crazy.

    [00:09:59] Right.

    [00:09:59] Exactly.

    [00:10:00] It's such a time.

    [00:10:02] It's such an investment.

[00:10:04] If you start younger, you have better chances for sure.

    [00:10:07] I mean, it's a...

[00:10:08] I was just talking to my co-host from Foos Talk Live, Brandon Robozo.

    [00:10:12] Yeah.

    [00:10:13] And he's a pro.

    [00:10:14] Yeah.

    [00:10:15] Randy's awesome, yeah.

    [00:10:16] In his 40s, right?

[00:10:18] And he wants to make it into that echelon.

[00:10:21] He wants it to the master level, yeah.

[00:10:22] He does want to go.

    [00:10:23] That's everybody's goal, man.

    [00:10:24] Working hard.

    [00:10:26] That's it.

[00:10:26] That's all you got is just working hard.

[00:10:28] I'm sure this young man over here is putting lots of time.

    [00:10:30] He'll do it.

    [00:10:31] Definitely.

    [00:10:32] Yeah.

    [00:10:32] Randy's definitely got potential.

    [00:10:34] He's committed.

[00:10:35] And he touches the table every day.

    [00:10:37] Yeah.

    [00:10:37] That's what you've got to do.

[00:10:39] What's your practice routine like?

    [00:10:43] Hour.

    [00:10:44] Maybe an hour.

    [00:10:45] Or like every other...

    [00:10:46] Every other other day.

[00:10:48] Like four times a week.

    [00:10:50] Four times a week.

    [00:10:51] I don't overdo it.

    [00:10:53] Okay.

[00:10:55] I hate to tell you this, but we're talking to Sherwin Pawlowski today.

    [00:11:00] Yeah, I know.

    [00:11:01] What did he say?

    [00:11:03] Yeah, no.

[00:11:04] He's a little Tony in the making, man.

    [00:11:05] He's tough.

    [00:11:06] I can't...

    [00:11:07] Stan?

[00:11:07] I can't even imagine what Stan makes him think.

    [00:11:09] Five hours a day.

    [00:11:10] Yeah, I believe it.

    [00:11:11] Five hours a day.

[00:11:12] I mean, clearly you could tell it just finishes in the last two tournaments, you know?

    [00:11:15] Right?

    [00:11:16] I mean...

    [00:11:17] So, something happens.

[00:11:19] I could never do that.

    [00:11:20] But Sam, for doing...

[00:11:22] You know, what you're doing a week, you're still killing it.

[00:11:25] The thing is that I feel like Sam, when he was that age, he was doing that.

[00:11:28] You know what I mean?

    [00:11:29] Everybody kind of...

[00:11:30] Yeah, I was practicing every day.

[00:11:30] Yeah, now when you get a little older, your skill's just...

    [00:11:33] Your skill's there.

[00:11:34] You know what I mean?

    [00:11:34] You just gotta...

    [00:11:35] Yeah.

    [00:11:36] Mentally be in it.

    [00:11:37] Yep.

    [00:11:38] Exactly.

[00:11:39] Then it comes down to desire and stamina.

    [00:11:42] That's it.

    [00:11:43] Grit, man.

    [00:11:44] You gotta have grit.

    [00:11:44] You gotta want it.

    [00:11:46] That's it.

[00:11:47] Yeah, look at Tommy Yor.

    [00:11:49] He's 26?

    [00:11:51] Yeah.

[00:11:52] When he's on the table, nothing else matters.

    [00:11:54] Yeah, no, he's definitely...

    [00:11:56] That's commitment.

    [00:11:57] Oh, my God.

    [00:11:58] Yeah, it's good.

    [00:11:59] It's...

    [00:11:59] He's fired up.

[00:12:00] It's why he's at where he's at, you know?

    [00:12:02] Yep.

    [00:12:02] Exactly right.

    [00:12:03] Doesn't miss a pass.

[00:12:04] Well, he misses a pass, but he'll grab that ball.

    [00:12:06] Yeah.

[00:12:07] He'll set it up and he'll go.

    [00:12:08] It's just amazing.

    [00:12:10] Yeah.

[00:12:10] So, guys, 2025 World Foosball Tour.

    [00:12:14] Let's talk.

    [00:12:15] Yeah, that sounds interesting.

    [00:12:17] So, yeah.

[00:12:19] There might be more tournaments.

    [00:12:21] There might be less.

    [00:12:22] I don't know.

    [00:12:23] Right.

[00:12:23] I mean, I'm definitely excited to see what Ryan...

    [00:12:25] Like I said, I know Ryan's got something.

[00:12:27] He's always got something up his sleeve, so he's gonna make it...

[00:12:30] We're excited to see where the future of this goes, man.

    [00:12:32] For sure.

    [00:12:33] Oh, yeah.

    [00:12:34] So, it's...

[00:12:35] I know for a fact, because we talked, he's investing quite a lot of money.

    [00:12:40] Right.

    [00:12:41] Exactly.

    [00:12:41] Yeah.

    [00:12:42] Yep.

[00:12:42] It's gonna be really interesting.

[00:12:44] So, if you turn ProMaster in 2025, which is possible.

    [00:12:49] Yeah, very possible.

    [00:12:50] Right.

[00:12:51] What do you want to see as a ProMaster at a tournament?

[00:12:54] Anything that you're not seeing now?

    [00:12:59] Honestly, there's nothing I'd really change.

[00:13:01] But I'm excited to see if there's more tournaments at different locations.

    [00:13:04] More money?

[00:13:05] You can never have enough of that.

[00:13:07] You can never have enough of that.

    [00:13:08] There's always that.

    [00:13:09] Yeah.

    [00:13:09] But, like, I wanna...

[00:13:11] Like, maybe if there's, like, a tournament up, like, towards, like, Minnesota, they don't

    [00:13:15] have tournaments up there.

    [00:13:16] Nobody's ever...

[00:13:16] Nobody really goes up there.

    [00:13:18] I don't know.

    [00:13:18] Yeah, true.

    [00:13:19] It'll be different locations.

[00:13:20] Like, you say the same thing about the Northeast.

    [00:13:22] Oh, yeah.

    [00:13:23] Right.

[00:13:23] New York State, New England.

[00:13:24] Yeah, I've never seen any of those.

    [00:13:26] I know there's a New York State, right?

    [00:13:27] There was.

    [00:13:28] There was.

    [00:13:29] Yeah.

[00:13:29] 2016 was the last year.

    [00:13:31] Yeah.

[00:13:31] I was really sad about Colorado, man.

    [00:13:33] I didn't expect that at all.

    [00:13:35] At all, at all.

[00:13:35] Yeah, it's areas like that that are kind of sleeping, you know, sort of not happening.

    [00:13:43] Right.

[00:13:43] Soon, hopefully with Ryan's help, we might see that.

    [00:13:47] Yeah, I think so.

    [00:13:50] So, okay.

    [00:13:52] Here it is.

[00:13:53] You guys have another day to go.

    [00:13:56] So, what's happening?

[00:13:57] Are you guys playing in the open?

    [00:13:59] Sam's playing with Frank.

[00:14:00] I'm playing with the little Polowski.

    [00:14:02] Louis?

    [00:14:03] Louis.

    [00:14:04] Louis.

    [00:14:04] Louis.

    [00:14:05] Yeah, Louis.

    [00:14:05] Okay, nice.

    [00:14:06] He's a good player.

[00:14:07] Dude, those two little dudes are rippers, man.

    [00:14:10] He's awesome.

    [00:14:11] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:14:12] I've had a fun time playing with him.

    [00:14:13] And your partner?

    [00:14:15] Frank Kronkowski.

    [00:14:16] Frank.

    [00:14:16] Yeah.

    [00:14:17] Frank.

    [00:14:18] Frank the Tank.

    [00:14:19] Frank the Tank.

    [00:14:20] Nice.

[00:14:22] So, I have a feeling about you two.

[00:14:24] You're going to be playing each other.

    [00:14:26] I hope so.

    [00:14:27] That'd be great.

[00:14:28] What's that going to be like?

[00:14:30] So, you know his game.

    [00:14:32] He knows your game.

[00:14:34] What are you going to do?

[00:14:35] The difference, I would imagine, is probably going to be Frank because Frank's a really

    [00:14:37] good goalie.

[00:14:38] Yeah, he's like an anchor back there.

[00:14:40] But, I mean, you know, anything can happen at any time.

[00:14:41] You just got to believe.

[00:14:42] You just got to go for it and see what happens, you know?

[00:14:45] And no harm, no foul.

    [00:14:46] Absolutely not.

[00:14:48] Yeah, we've been playing each other since we started, man.

    [00:14:50] It's always a pleasure.

[00:14:52] And it's always been a pleasure to see him glow up, yeah.

[00:14:54] To be honest, what shot of his would you, if there was any shot you could choose, which

[00:15:00] one would you like to take away from him?

    [00:15:02] Ah, golly.

[00:15:03] He's got that whip and pull, man.

    [00:15:05] It's looking fast.

    [00:15:06] It's looking really good.

    [00:15:07] So, it's looking strong.

[00:15:09] You could tell there's hours of practice behind that.

    [00:15:11] Yep.

[00:15:12] And it's not even only that.

[00:15:13] Like, I just feel like it's just raw talent, you know?

[00:15:15] He's had that bar in his hand since he was tiny, you know?

    [00:15:18] Yep.

[00:15:18] I remember when he used to shoot the roller, like, up here instead of here.

    [00:15:22] He'll still do it.

    [00:15:23] Right.

[00:15:23] He'll still do it to this deck.

    [00:15:25] Yeah.

    [00:15:25] Wow.

[00:15:25] It's just like, because I was too small, like, even on the stools, I was too small, so I

[00:15:29] had to roll down and come back up.

[00:15:32] I always marveled at that because your hands are so small.

    [00:15:35] I know.

[00:15:35] How are you getting that kind of talent?

    [00:15:37] You know?

    [00:15:38] It's amazing.

    [00:15:40] Yeah, it's good.

[00:15:40] And that was a bull shot.

[00:15:41] I mean, it's just, hands down, it's one of the best I've seen.

    [00:15:45] Yeah.

    [00:15:46] Oh, yeah.

    [00:15:46] It's definitely good.

    [00:15:47] Well, okay.

[00:15:48] So, he's going to take away, you're going to take away his pull shot.

[00:15:52] Sam, what would you take away from him if you could?

    [00:15:56] Let's see here.

[00:15:58] Probably a rollover because your rollover is quick.

    [00:16:01] I think it's quicker than that.

    [00:16:02] Is it?

    [00:16:03] Okay.

[00:16:03] You're quicker to the hole, so I'm saying.

    [00:16:05] Yeah.

    [00:16:06] I mean.

    [00:16:07] You prefer forward?

    [00:16:10] Just depends.

[00:16:11] I mean, if I'm playing for this dude, I'll chill in the back.

    [00:16:14] Makes my job easy.

[00:16:15] But I think I would probably say I'm probably about the same.

[00:16:19] I usually, for top-rated players, you know, I play more goalie.

[00:16:24] But I will play forward.

[00:16:26] I've been playing forward for a long time, so.

    [00:16:28] Okay.

    [00:16:28] Okay.

[00:16:29] It just depends on how I'm feeling.

[00:16:30] You know, if I wake up, I'm a little, you know, goalie vacation sounds nice, too.

[00:16:36] You know what I mean?

[00:16:36] Especially if you could just be smart.

    [00:16:38] Hang on.

    [00:16:38] I'm a goalie.

    [00:16:39] Yeah.

    [00:16:39] I'm not taking vacation.

    [00:16:41] Yeah.

[00:16:41] I mean, not even a vacation, but just, you know, give your forward opportunities.

[00:16:45] Don't try and just get trigger happy.

    [00:16:47] Oh, yeah, yeah.

    [00:16:48] You know, be smart.

    [00:16:49] Find the correct place.

    [00:16:50] Stuff like that.

[00:16:51] You know what I mean?

    [00:16:52] Pace the match.

    [00:16:53] That's right.

    [00:16:54] Right?

    [00:16:54] Yep.

    [00:16:55] You're the pacing.

    [00:16:55] That's it.

    [00:16:56] Yeah.

[00:16:56] You're in control of that, you know.

    [00:16:57] That's awesome.

    [00:16:58] That's very cool.

    [00:16:59] Yeah.

[00:16:59] Because in the forward, I feel like I'm really good.

[00:17:01] And sometimes I get a little ahead of myself.

    [00:17:03] Like a little.

[00:17:03] Start playing in like two seconds.

    [00:17:05] Doing everything, too.

[00:17:05] So it's important to just take your time.

[00:17:07] And it's almost one of those things where it happens and you're already down for nothing.

[00:17:12] You realize you're doing it.

[00:17:12] And then you have to adjust it.

[00:17:13] So learning to adjust quicker will definitely help a lot, too.

    [00:17:16] Okay.

    [00:17:17] I like that.

    [00:17:18] Yeah.

    [00:17:19] Yeah.

[00:17:20] This game is all about adjustments, man.

    [00:17:21] Got it.

[00:17:22] Got to say, I'm rooting for both you guys.

    [00:17:25] Right on, man.

    [00:17:25] It's politically correct.

    [00:17:27] Yes, sir.

[00:17:28] Both of you are going to kill it.

    [00:17:29] I hope so.

    [00:17:30] I hope Sam wins.

    [00:17:32] Hey.

    [00:17:33] I'm sure he will.

    [00:17:35] I wouldn't put it past him.

[00:17:37] Like I said, this dude's the future, bro.

    [00:17:38] He's here to stay.

    [00:17:39] So that's great.

[00:17:40] And someday, you might not even, maybe too far into the future, you might be able to bet on

    [00:17:46] a baseball.

    [00:17:47] Yeah.

    [00:17:47] That's what I want to do.

    [00:17:49] I'm taking the side.

    [00:17:49] I know that's what Ryan's doing.

[00:17:51] Because before Ryan's entertainment, he's an entertainment man.

    [00:17:54] Like an entertainment man.

    [00:17:55] He's a businessman for sure.

    [00:17:57] Exactly.

    [00:17:58] Yeah.

[00:17:58] I'm excited to see all the stuff he's got going on.

[00:18:00] I'm sure it's going to be mind-blowing and crazy and, you know, very Ryan and more fashion

    [00:18:03] style.

[00:18:04] All the power to him, man.

    [00:18:05] Right, right.

    [00:18:06] Yeah.

    [00:18:06] If he's winning, we're winning.

[00:18:07] Because he's in charge now.

[00:18:08] So we just got to back him up, man.

[00:18:10] That's going to be a good time.

    [00:18:11] Ryan, you hear that?

    [00:18:13] Yeah, you hear that?

    [00:18:14] You hear that?

[00:18:15] You owe me a steak dinner.

    [00:18:18] And then some.

    [00:18:19] And then some, yeah.

[00:18:20] So guys, thanks so much for jumping in.

    [00:18:22] Yeah, thank you, man.

    [00:18:23] I appreciate it.

    [00:18:23] Yeah, Alex.

[00:18:24] A pleasure to meet you.

[00:18:25] Yeah, a pleasure to meet you, too.

[00:18:26] Mind if we're going to pick one?

[00:18:27] Oh, I'm going to get a photo.

    [00:18:29] Absolutely.

[00:18:31] Make sure you, here we go.

    [00:18:34] Here we are.

    [00:18:35] Yeah.

    [00:18:36] Nice.

    [00:18:37] I like that.

    [00:18:37] Nice.

    [00:18:38] Nice.

[00:18:39] So once again, Foosball Radio on the road.

[00:18:41] We've got a lot more coming this weekend because there's a lot more playing going on.

[00:18:44] We're going to be here until Sunday evening and we'll be on the air again before you know it.

[00:18:50] But once again, Sam Dijon and Alex Romero together, winners of Pro Doubles.

    [00:18:57] Yes, sir.

[00:18:58] At the Great Lakes Classic.

    [00:19:00] Wow.

    [00:19:00] Yes, sir.

    [00:19:01] Congratulations.

    [00:19:02] Thank you, man.

    [00:19:02] It's been an honor.

[00:19:03] Thank you so much for having us.

    [00:19:04] Oh, anytime.

[00:19:05] Let's do it again soon.

    [00:19:06] Yes, sir.
