[00:02:31] with you that loves to talk about Foosball which would be Randy Reposa from the great

[00:02:37] state of Alabama. Hello Randy.

[00:02:39] Hey Tom how are you today?

[00:02:42] Oh you're a little slow in the uptake, are you alright?

    [00:02:46] I'm good Tom, I'm good yeah I'm okay.

[00:02:56] Yeah yeah yeah. Another day another day in the life.

[00:02:59] Another day in the life you know you got nothing to complain about you know I gotta tell you

[00:03:04] this because you know it's only fair that I relate to you in a sense that you used to

[00:03:09] live in the Northeast and I still live in the Northeast and I got slammed, slammed

[00:03:18] this last evening. I mean last night let's see we were at I think it was like 15 inches but

[00:03:24] another 9 inches fell during the year.

    [00:03:28] Yeah huh?

[00:03:30] Listen listen it was 70 degrees today Tom.

[00:03:33] Get out of here seriously.

[00:03:37] Man so you know I'm out there banging away at that 20 inches of snow with an electric

[00:03:43] snow blower right so I'm out there and no I look across the street and the neighbor I

[00:03:50] mean the driveways clear it's like you know looks like it just rained like just there's

[00:03:54] no snow at all and so.

    [00:03:56] Have a heated driveway?

[00:03:57] Nah you just you know he's got one of these big giant things you know they're you know

[00:04:02] the big giant snow blower that takes care of anything you know like yeah yeah yeah yeah

[00:04:07] and he must have been out there much earlier anyway so I'm I'm banging away at this thing

[00:04:10] and I'm like oh man but I'm getting workout at least I'm you know I'm doing something and

[00:04:16] you know and of course the batteries run down you gotta it's oh by the way it's an electric

[00:04:21] snow blower so batteries run down take it back into the house get them recharge come back

[00:04:25] out and I'm all I want to do is just get the end of the driveway open so we can drive

[00:04:28] you know so we can get out of there and so I'm about maybe maybe two thirds of the way

[00:04:34] through it and I hear the door open across the street my neighbor comes out in shorts

[00:04:40] and no shoes what's up looks like you're having fun.

[00:04:46] Yeah I'm on a good time real good time.

[00:04:50] Yeah yeah yeah lovely it's like hey man have a great day.

[00:04:55] Wait wait no no no hey before you go back in want you go grab your snow blower come help me out.

[00:05:00] Oh no he's in shorts he's in shorts and he's he's chilling get out so anyway that's

    [00:05:06] that's my life that's my life.

[00:05:08] No so my dad my dad bought a snow blower a couple of years ago okay like I had already

[00:05:15] lived in Alabama for a couple years but it was like it had been a pretty rough winter

[00:05:21] and he couldn't find one and he called me and he goes hey can you buy the snow blower

[00:05:25] down there drive it up here I'm like dude you're you're you're high as a kite so he has

[00:05:32] a good one over the summer right now.

[00:05:35] Oh you have no idea so so now what he does is the neighbor right the neighbor he tells

[00:05:43] the neighbor you can use my snow blower but you got to blow my driveway.

[00:05:46] I see the neighbor will come the neighbor will come over get the snow blower do our driveway

[00:05:51] and then go over and do his driveway so yeah my dad that's what to my dad is he's he's

[00:05:59] always find in an angle man he's always trying to hustle so that's that's the deal that's

[00:06:02] the deal man that's what you gotta do and if not he'll just make my mom go shovel snow

[00:06:07] she's great and my mom 66 yeah she's disabled and a go shovel snow dude I'm 65 so you're

[00:06:16] mom we're basically you know of the same generation so yeah my mom was born in 57 but like

[00:06:22] I said yeah top Tom my mom got hit by a car in 2015 almost got killed right wow man

[00:06:28] I'm sure that's outside oh she's okay now but he's got her outside shovel and snow

[00:06:32] he's a go shovel no kidding she's hey hey hey before you go outside make me a sandwich good old

[00:06:43] good old school yeah there we go the old school romantic yeah he's an old school romantic

[00:06:49] yeah I can tell I can tell oh yeah you have no idea and the apple doesn't fall far from

[00:06:54] the tree doesn't just kidding just kidding I love my wife she does my wife doesn't shovel snow it

[00:07:02] was 70 degrees today don't you live in Alabama for God's sake so okay so Wisconsin is going on

[00:07:11] this weekend look and I can I can I throw some names out I just want to throw a bunch of names

[00:07:15] out if that's okay sure Ben illitch we had on we had been on a couple weeks ago yep just one

[00:07:22] winners bracket of expert doubles with Jerry Schropel nice so I guess if you want it this is back

[00:07:28] to back for Ben yeah I guess if you want to get to an expert doubles final hook up with Ben illitch

[00:07:33] he's a man he is the man yeah Brandon of course Brandon Munoz just won mixed doubles with Maya

[00:07:40] Bacos I think that with Maya no less now what I thought I thought I thought the Brandon would be playing

[00:07:47] with the well is it is a bell plate she played with Jacob I think they got fourth oh is it

[00:07:55] going to play together okay interesting yeah well they've played a couple of pro doubles so

[00:08:02] but Jacob and Brandon are playing open doubles and they're sitting king seat right now they are

[00:08:07] okay yeah Jacob Jacob won pros singles came out of the losers got a couple scoops on

[00:08:14] I forgot who won the winners bracket oh Mason Graham Mason Graham okay good player from Kentucky yep so

[00:08:22] and then Ryan one singles I think Ryan one singles again are the finals still going on the

[00:08:26] finals is still going on because I noticed on YouTube it was Tom Tommy your was warming up on the

[00:08:32] table so Tommy and Ryan we're gonna go ahead to head at table one yeah so yeah that's I mean of course

[00:08:40] last time those two played it was Ryan on the two row man remember that TKO yeah that game

[00:08:47] that game five it banked four out of the back it was crazy oh yeah and then on the lady side

[00:08:53] isabel isabel won women singles and I think Stacy Fowler and Lindsay Albert won women's doubles so

[00:08:59] Wisconsin is is slowly now I shouldn't say slowly it's quickly becoming like a must hit tournament

[00:09:06] guys up there I believe it I believe it's Teddy Krueger you know him and his crew they they're

[00:09:12] they do a great job they're putting on a really good event Friday night they had 82 teams

[00:09:16] in the dy 82 teams that's awesome that's a hundred and that's all 64 players correct correct

[00:09:24] yeah that's not a Friday yeah not bad for 65 year old guy you pretty good huh so uh

[00:09:31] so that that you know that's that's awesome um and and uh I the tournaments just been growing

[00:09:39] exponentially I know those guys do a lot of work away from the tournament trying to find

[00:09:44] individual sponsors and then they do their stream on YouTube which is awesome the streams

[00:09:47] been going all weekend commentating has been great yeah so shout out to those guys yes very nice

[00:09:54] um and then uh the just wanted to throw out the yeah no not just a quick question because

[00:09:59] I was looking at the tables on YouTube on the stream from Wisconsin state and have these blue

[00:10:04] tags on either under the table what one of those blue tags what is that said a sponsor?

[00:10:09] I'm not 100% sure it might be but I'm not 100% sure that that'd be a question for uh

[00:10:15] for one of those guys up there maybe Teddy or if anybody's listening on twitch or watching on

[00:10:20] twitch and knows if you want to throw something in the chat um but I'm not 100% sure because I

[00:10:25] I won my eyes are bad and I couldn't really zoom in until I haven't been up there I got I got

[00:10:32] to get to that tournament man because it's it's pretty awesome like I said they're they do a good

[00:10:36] job uh and then um the Mississippi tournament last weekend if you didn't go you missed out because

[00:10:43] Mississippi opened yeah yeah Shannon Shannon Shannon really put a lot into that they did a really

[00:10:51] really nice job um he's dedicated yeah man it was a 5k it was a 5k uh Friday Saturday Sunday everything

[00:10:59] was done Sunday super early like we we finished pro doubles and we were out of there by like five

[00:11:05] o'clock nice five o'clock you know the Sunday yeah yeah Donald help run it okay I'm Wilson uh

[00:11:13] 10 tables all the tables were great they had inside foods there shout out to Wayne Richie for coming

[00:11:18] setting up and streaming and um and then we got beaten the finals of pro doubles by um by

[00:11:26] Corey Taylor and Eddie bowdine and they played great they had a great plan Corey played lights out

[00:11:31] Eddie block great but you were in finals nonetheless though you were you're right there yeah we were

[00:11:36] in the final of pro doubles and and they just uh I mean they just they just beat us man they played

[00:11:40] great Chris played great I just um you know that was the weak link unfortunately so those guys came

[00:11:46] out as hard and uh they they played us great and I hope they enjoy it because it's it's a last time

[00:11:53] actually we've played that we will have a better plan and we'll be more prepared but they

[00:11:57] they played great uh the tournament was awesome and of course for me it was uh I got to play with

[00:12:03] with Brandon Munoz which was fortunate for me because yeah I developed you know a friendship

[00:12:09] with Brandon he's he's a he's a great kid super good well I'm almost 20 years older than him but um

[00:12:15] you know he's a he's a he's a gracious person I mean you know um we talked you know

[00:12:21] with the t.k.o briefly and I wanted to get him on the air but it just didn't work out because he was

[00:12:25] you know he was busy playing a lot of baseball yeah yeah yeah we got to get him back on the air for sure

[00:12:32] yeah so if I if I could just touch on um you know what it's like to play with uh

[00:12:39] a top and uh what my top player I mean like like a top three five player in the world

[00:12:46] yep in content. So yeah so when I started playing Fuzball um you know I had become friends with

[00:12:54] Billy Papis and Billy started climbing like 0405 I think he won his first worlds in 05 and Billy

[00:13:02] through the mid 2000s up to 2012 1314 was a question it really wasn't a question but he was top

[00:13:11] one two three player in the world yes and he was he was winning when Fred was there Tony was there

[00:13:16] Ryan was there so other guys that people consider to be top two three players all time so

[00:13:22] and and when I when I was playing with Billy for me it was I was really green to tournament

[00:13:28] Fuzball so okay I was just playing it I was playing and having a good time so there was no there

[00:13:33] was no pressure I was just hanging out playing Fuzball with my buddy and I remember um I think the first

[00:13:40] like reasonable tournament like this is size tournament we played was um north Carolina state 2003

[00:13:46] we played and we played Tommy and remember 2003 I mean yeah I mean for all the shots in the head

[00:13:54] I've taken okay I can still Fuzball stuff sometimes I get the numbers wrong but I remember

[00:14:01] I remember loss is pretty good so 03 NC state we played Terry Terry Moore Tommy Ackinson for

[00:14:08] Winter the winners and they thumbless pretty good because I suck and then we play Rodney Jenkins

[00:14:14] and Billy Kailer for the losers bracket and they thumbless pretty good because I suck and I

[00:14:20] remember specifically Mike Philbrook after the tournament saying how do you lose playing with Billy

[00:14:26] Pappas he was like you suck okay you how do you lose playing with Billy Pappas well and it's

[00:14:32] well and it's one of those things Tom where it's kind of a double-edged sword right so when you play

[00:14:37] with a player that level and you win it's assumably because of them and when you lose it's assumably

[00:14:44] because of you right yeah have to kind of look at it that way sometimes I mean I guess that's

[00:14:49] probably that logically that makes sense well and but the thing the thing that you know Fuzball I

[00:14:57] mean when you're playing doubles um like you know you go to a draw you draw somebody maybe they're

[00:15:04] they're pretty green they're pretty new um and you can kind of coach them up and give them some

[00:15:09] tips and some ideas and if they're pliable and they listen then you have a chance right and as long

[00:15:15] as you're willing to kind of just focus on what you need to do and not so much what they're doing

[00:15:20] you're always gonna have a chance so you know you get the ball every time they score you get the ball

[00:15:25] I mean you have if as long as you focus on the ball in your hand then you know you you just make

[00:15:30] account but um you know going into this event I haven't played with you know this level of player

[00:15:37] in a long time yeah I was I wasn't so much nervous as far as I was just more um I just wanted to

[00:15:46] play well right how's that well and the thing is you know we have very different styles of game

[00:15:53] Brandon is is just gas all the time yep go go put to the floor oh go go yeah and and I'm a little

[00:16:00] bit more methodical more you know I try to I try to take my time take the ball to the whole be smooth

[00:16:06] and uh it it I struggle that times because um you know he was giving me good information but trying

[00:16:15] to process the information and then apply it at the same time was a bit of a struggle but but the

[00:16:21] nice part about it was anytime I did struggle I just stuck him in the front and then they just

[00:16:27] mark points and you know so um we had we had our first round match was against Randall Stelly

[00:16:34] who's Isabelle Stelly's dad yes who knows Brandon fairly well and then another rather large gentleman

[00:16:41] who I I don't know particularly well but I have seen before who's uh super nice guy off the table

[00:16:47] but you know tries to be a little intimidating I guess I don't know but Brandon laughed at him so

[00:16:52] I laughed at him and so they they they peeled the game office right they peeled the game office and then

[00:17:00] we were up it was two one and then the fourth game they had us four to one oh we did we did some

[00:17:08] switching we came back we beat him in the fourth game so they peeled the game off of us

[00:17:12] okay left about it but it was it was it was like it was I mean we weren't thinking we were going

[00:17:18] to lose but it was just one of those things like jeez man like we shouldn't have lost no disrespect

[00:17:22] to Randall and his partner but we shouldn't be that same score it shouldn't be this close right

[00:17:27] so then our next match I think we played Eddie and Eddie and Corey and we got them pretty good

[00:17:33] and then we ended up playing Paul Rankin who's a master originally from California now living in

[00:17:38] Alabama and my dear dear friend Chris Follson and they beat us the first game um Chris you know

[00:17:47] Chris has been playing behind me now for four years so yeah you know he's getting up yep and then

[00:17:53] he blocked me well we ended up switching and then Brandon just you know he just he lives with

[00:17:58] yeah he lives with the ball he does you know tap go tap go shot shot shot shot so eventually it goes so

[00:18:05] we ended up beating them in four and then when the finals came um Bill Bell who's a master player

[00:18:12] who at one point was a top ten player in the world I know the name for sure yeah Bill Bill Bell

[00:18:18] he was in so and Kevin Scousers had told me about Bill Bell from years ago when Kevin was playing

[00:18:25] in the 90s Bill Bell basically he said in Dallas he was winning the draw every draw every week 30

[00:18:32] teams 40 teams 100 teams it didn't matter he said Bill could draw a beginner

[00:18:37] win the draw and then and then do he do he told me a story do he call him ever told me a story

[00:18:42] about the first time he ever went to a tournament he drew Bill and he said there was like you

[00:18:46] know there was like 30 teams at this draw he said I'm a pure beginner I draw Bill and we win

[00:18:52] and and and he says as a beginner he said it was I mean Bill Bell yeah Bill Bell was a top

[00:19:00] he was a top ten player you know when when when the tournament was riddled with studs when any one

[00:19:08] of 30 guys much larger field you know we're not yeah yeah we're not when now you have a pretty

[00:19:13] good idea Ryan's there Tommy's there Brandon's there it's like okay you know which one of them

[00:19:18] is going to get it as opposed to there's 30 guys here which one of these 30 you know so anyway

[00:19:26] he played with Marcus Heyman who's a pro player from Mississippi just a big old big old corn fed

[00:19:32] boy and Marcus has a I mean Marcus super nice guy Canon 2 rod he's won some pro doubles at worlds him

[00:19:40] and do he want to open doubles at nationals really good player he actually won pro doubles at Georgia

[00:19:45] State last year with Eddie Mubarak like I said just a good player and the last time they had one in

[00:19:51] Mississippi Marcus and Bill won they won open doubles so he played yeah they played do we and Shannon

[00:20:02] for their half of the bracket do we and Shannon coming off a run at oh TKO they were great

[00:20:08] yep so they're playing them and Marcus and Bill win in five okay so we got to play them in the finals

[00:20:17] and Brandon just I mean took him to test so again let me just let me just give people kind of like

[00:20:26] some insight into this so with a player like Brandon when you're when you're playing Goli for a player

[00:20:31] like that right you're kind of an awe at his ability yep right and the thing and the thing for me was

[00:20:38] you know I didn't have to do a whole lot I just had to do enough which was I had to get a couple

[00:20:42] blocks and then I had to clear the ball clear the ball yeah right so I don't want I don't want to make

[00:20:48] it easier for the other team I don't want to give them any confidence right because what people

[00:20:53] don't understand is when you have a player like Brandon who's applying tremendous amounts of pressure

[00:20:58] it makes it easier for me to block right because the other team they feel like they're playing from

[00:21:04] behind which they are yeah so so it tends to be um it's a mental thing right they feel like they have

[00:21:13] to catch up fast so they play fast yeah they're not taking their time like they should they're

[00:21:19] not executing they're not making good decisions now I'm not saying that that's what Bill and Marcus

[00:21:26] were doing I'm just saying from a mental standpoint that's what pressure tends to do to any player

[00:21:32] right and you can watch matches and see what pressure does so when Brandon starts just getting the ball

[00:21:39] passing far well passing near well doing this doing that shooting left hooks getting the ball go go go go

[00:21:44] and now within 30 seconds it's three to nothing the other team feels like that's that's a psychological

[00:21:51] barrier that's been in there yeah they're drowning in quicksand right yeah so for me it was easy to just

[00:22:00] get a couple blocks dump them all and Brandon's catching everything and then he's just you know go go go

[00:22:07] what does uh what does Bill like to shoot by the way Bill shoots a pull shot okay

[00:22:12] a full school he can shoot a pull shot he can shoot a roll over Bill Bill's a guy who can shoot

[00:22:16] anything he's got a nice smooth five um you know if if you probably have to dig a little deeper

[00:22:23] into inside foods to find some of his videos but if you ask around especially down here everybody

[00:22:30] knows who Bill Bell is yeah everybody yeah so um you know but the the tournament itself um

[00:22:38] you know I think I'm not 100% sure in the numbers I think maybe there was 75 or 80 players there

[00:22:44] okay for a 5k which wasn't bad the location was great right the back porch uh they had um

[00:22:51] it was a crawfish place yes I've never seen crawfish before and ever I've talked about it

[00:22:55] crawfish yeah it's yeah they look they look like aliens yeah but they taste great see I don't know

[00:23:03] I didn't eat it oh you wouldn't try it really well this so this well this is a think time okay

[00:23:08] I work a lot I work hard okay one thing I don't want to work for is my food right I got it okay

[00:23:15] I'm a professional like yay big yeah yeah big not long got it you gotta and then the meats like

[00:23:20] that big yep so there was a couple people that I offered to them I said I will buy mine I will

[00:23:26] buy yours and then I will pay you to feed me okay okay I could there's a picture forming in my

[00:23:35] now I look I have no shame Tom I don't care I will pay you do you like crack them open sit back

[00:23:41] and it doesn't mean this kind of exactly I just feed me right I said I'll buy the crawfish I'll

[00:23:50] pay you 20 bucks right 20 bucks I said I'll eat a whole thing of crawfish in 30 minutes

[00:23:54] of 40 bucks now would you make you make 40 bucks an hour at work no no I said then feed me

[00:24:00] and they wouldn't do it so you know what they kept telling me try it try I said I don't want to

[00:24:05] try it I said if if I'll buy it and I'll eat it if you feed it to me and they wouldn't do it so I

[00:24:10] just I didn't touch it they looked weird they smell weird I look if it's your thing go for it right

[00:24:16] yeah I had a lobster I had a lobster tail yesterday Tom it was delicious it was it was good size lobster

[00:24:21] tail right it's looking like a true New England uh you know that's yeah well hey lobster come on

[00:24:26] Lincoln lobster was delicious yeah so drawn butter yeah that's right but I didn't have to peel it

[00:24:33] it came out like they sit on top of the shell right it was wonderful so but but the location was good

[00:24:40] right the food everything else it was delicious I ate a couple of things are really good yep um

[00:24:46] I mean if anything Shannon puts on people need to understand Shannon like his promoter brain

[00:24:52] mm-hmm it's it's he he's all about the players I mean even the plaques like you could see the

[00:24:59] two big white plaques up there in the corner yes right so those the biggest plaques I've won

[00:25:07] were from his like he does it big and he does it really nice he does it really well um

[00:25:13] so you know the way he planned um the schedule every I mean honestly I think we probably lost

[00:25:20] the couple of teams in pro doubles because he planned the schedule so well people got done Saturday

[00:25:24] and went home and didn't come back Sunday so he's that's yeah that's something we talked about

[00:25:29] and something he's gonna work on okay but um but singles singles was good bunch of good players um

[00:25:36] out a couple good wins I beat Michael Bates and singles he's okay Michael Bates is really good

[00:25:41] I was really excited to play him but uh played Kenneth Dale um Kenneth Dale yeah I played Ken and

[00:25:48] singles and he's been kind of bouncing around um I know he was he was in Ohio for the Arnold

[00:25:54] it's been around and then he yeah he came he came down to Georgia he was hanging out for a while I

[00:25:58] know I know he went to Chris' for a couple days to play some singles and then he wrote over and then

[00:26:04] he wrote up uh he wrote back on a plane and then he's he's uh in Wisconsin now but you know Ken's

[00:26:10] just living that foosball life so um but I I played Ken I had a plan um I was ex-coup

[00:26:18] executing my plan and um you know Ken just made a really good adjustment he was struggling to

[00:26:24] block me he made a really good adjustment I should have took a lot more time on my shot and I didn't

[00:26:30] and he got a block converted uh took game two and then game three was a five four and then game four

[00:26:38] I just made a couple of really uh just bad decisions just I broke that mentally in game four so um

[00:26:46] is it is it because you were rushing yourself or is it because you just made just an a b

[00:26:53] choice so so the thing was especially in game four um I had been blocking him so he hadn't been

[00:27:03] blocking me and I had been blocking him okay and then and then he started blocking me and scoring

[00:27:08] better so I wasn't blocking him so it's kind of what I was talking about before about pressure

[00:27:14] and manufacturing points right so he the way he was deemed me up on the five you know he had his

[00:27:21] hand in the back and then he was using his right hand on the five and I had been getting the ball

[00:27:25] successfully but I felt like I I needed to do something to kind of swing momentum my shot

[00:27:33] a left hook he blocked it turned like it turned into a three-bar possession and I out loud said

[00:27:39] stupid I was like stupid don't do that and then I did it again oh oh and then and then what was

[00:27:45] what was really dumb was I did it I think I did it one more time so uh just let me just let me

[00:27:50] ask you the question then so yeah a critical moment a critical point um yep I mean left hook can

[00:27:57] you know certainly surprise another player but if it fails I mean is it isn't the best idea

[00:28:06] and so you know there's certain times went to shoot him and went not to shoot him so like if you're

[00:28:12] up if you're up by two points if you're down by two points right yeah but in a game in a winner

[00:28:17] lucid I mean you know I was down a game it was two one at that point and I was it might have been

[00:28:26] two one or one one or you know it was only like a point swing so it was not the time right I should

[00:28:33] I should have managed the ball okay I should have made the table and instead I made a dumb decision

[00:28:39] right and and this is where Ken's actually really good um you know because he can just consistent

[00:28:47] he really is well yeah he's a smart guy he's consistent and you know he he uh he took advantage

[00:28:55] of my bad decision which um you know was it was kudos to him of course but I you know

[00:29:03] he's got me in saying he's got scoreboard on me in saying I think I beat him once maybe two I

[00:29:07] think once okay um but you know now he's got this uh this way of maneuvering the ball especially

[00:29:13] on a three row and he and he goes for just about any any open hole he can find and he's he's not a

[00:29:20] traditional shooter it seems um he can if he wants to he can do a traditional puller or rollover

[00:29:27] but it just seems like he's looking for those angles you know at all times yeah so Ken uh

[00:29:34] a few years like pre-COVID Ken shot a pull shot okay okay uh and he and he was doing okay

[00:29:41] shooting a pull shot but I just think he um I don't know if he thought it was boring or you know this

[00:29:48] this type of game maybe it suits his mindset or his brain or his personality type I don't

[00:29:54] I don't know it's um you know like I fool around at home and I I practice I practice all that stuff

[00:30:01] just a kind of stage sharp and and just you know the funsy foosball like you know whenever we play

[00:30:07] pick up games at a tournament and a guy sets up a rollover I'm like no no no no you can't do that's

[00:30:12] a pick up game no rollovers in a pick up game so if you want to get if you want to get better

[00:30:16] if you want to get better you have to practice that stuff and it does it does help it helps with

[00:30:20] hand speed your hand eye coordination picking up loose balls yep doing all that stuff does make

[00:30:24] a difference but you know I can Ken Ken's had a lot of success at the pro level uh but

[00:30:34] I think for him to really break through as a master and he's had wins um you know he's had top

[00:30:41] three finishes and open oh he's coming yeah well you got second he got second and open singles

[00:30:46] at this tournament but you know Brandon I think Brandon took it to him pretty good so um you

[00:30:51] know but he's got up he's got to figure something out if he wants to keep playing that game he has

[00:30:55] to figure something out because um he he blocks well and his two to the fought look his two to

[00:31:01] the five is outstanding it really really is he where he passes the ball from

[00:31:06] is is really consistent it's an upper it down so he disguises it well you have to kind of guess right

[00:31:15] his five um you know Chris and I had a talk and Chris kind of figured something out on his

[00:31:21] five i'm not going to disclose that here but we we we got something good so you know but

[00:31:26] defensively there's a certain thing that he doesn't like but again he's a smart enough guy that he's

[00:31:31] gonna adjust to that uh but then on his shot it's like he he's i feel like from tournament to tournament

[00:31:42] when i see him he's always like he's shooting one hole particularly more than more than the other

    [00:31:48] it's like he's almost it's it's i don't know if it's a table the balls or just how he feels but

[00:31:51] he feels really comfortable attacking this one hole and he's gonna he's gonna attack that hole

[00:31:56] until you stick somebody there and then he's gonna go to the other holes but um so this is

[00:32:02] if this is like a consistent pattern you're saying this is something that you notice he's doing

[00:32:07] this one i mean you know that and i'm not saying it's the same hole i'm just saying

[00:32:14] i see him well and it's just smart foosball anyway right no matter what you shoot you know he's

[00:32:20] dictating i'm gonna go here right and he's picking away yep and he's forcing you to cover this whole

[00:32:26] and then now you have you know a seven eighths and i'll bring the whole rest of the net so

[00:32:31] you know it's it's a numbers game that he's playing and he plays it well but um i block that this

[00:32:37] was probably the best well maybe the second best i blocked them oh this is another thing he does

[00:32:41] right again i'm disclosing information here and i love you can but i don't care so

[00:32:48] the one time the one time i did beat him i beat him i think it was Mississippi state a couple

[00:32:53] years ago i beat him in open singles and four and i beat him pretty good okay and what i did was

[00:32:59] i i i blocked him i had noticed that he just wasn't shooting middles he was shooting that little inside

[00:33:06] three rod and then he was shooting along and i've been watching him going this joke and never goes

[00:33:10] middle so my defense just stayed i kept moving but i always left the middle right i was just very

[00:33:15] three i was using a three mandi okay left the middle wide open left the middle wide open

[00:33:20] uh and just blocked them blocked them so he's going for the corners he's looking at the corners

[00:33:26] that's what he was doing so then after the match you know and again i've known Ken for a long time

[00:33:31] and he asked me he's like he's like he blocked me really well what did you do and me being the dummy

[00:33:36] that i am you told him i told him instead of being like he needs that by the way while he does

[00:33:44] he does that all the time anytime anytime we finish a match he's like you know you you did this really

[00:33:49] well and then you did this and so you know talked to me about it now he doesn't ask me because i just

[00:33:54] last time last time he asked me i was like i'm not telling you squat anymore dude get away from me

[00:34:02] yeah i told him and he just went and then as soon as it came out of my mouth i said i shouldn't

[00:34:07] have done that i should not have said that and um yeah and then the next time i played him he

[00:34:12] just he went middle over and over there you go there you go so suddenly well it ain't so easy

[00:34:19] anymore no i just a quick comment about can because he you know we spent some time with the

[00:34:23] said tk o we we did an episode of food talk live with him and he's really insightful and he does

[00:34:32] use your information he does want to know what you know if if you give him a tough time he wants

[00:34:38] to know how and why what are you thinking and this is usually after the match the other thing he

[00:34:42] also does is he does this um visualization exercise he visualizes and he visualizes success

[00:34:52] and carries it and he he executes in a way that that he's visualizing in his own mind before

[00:35:00] the shot even occurs that this is what this is the way it's going to go now i can see that happening

[00:35:06] you know i like the chess match we talk about all the time when it comes to foosball

[00:35:12] you know you're you're trying to be a couple of moves ahead of your your opponent

[00:35:17] and he's visualizing what you're not going to be doing if that makes any sense

[00:35:23] no it does it does you know visualizing is a big part like so i struggled for

[00:35:34] three or four solid years right there was a run of bad men in the mid-2000s

    [00:35:39] um

[00:35:41] the i don't know if people remember but there was a run of bad men the feet were like

[00:35:46] indented they were like crooked or they were weird

[00:35:48] oh you're some of the players yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so it was like a New

[00:35:54] York state i still remember um i couldn't shoot a pull side because those men every time i

[00:36:00] shoot a pull side the ball would cut in and it messed me up really bad so for like

[00:36:04] thought it was it was a few years it was like it messed up my head and i couldn't shoot a pull side

[00:36:09] so people knew if you wanted to block me all you had to do was sit in the middle and the push side

[00:36:12] and that was it right so so to fix it i i mean i i i read a couple of books uh one particularly

[00:36:23] and everybody's read this book right at the inner game of tennis yes it's it's a really really

[00:36:28] good book for foosball if you haven't read it read it's easy read the inner game of tennis

[00:36:32] but the visualizing like so for me uh i actually just got on the table and just visualized hitting

[00:36:40] that pull side and seeing the ball go where i wanted it to go and that was a big thing and i

[00:36:45] just spent some time like a pretty reasonable amount of time doing that and fixing my shot to now

[00:36:51] where it's you know it's back to consistent sir pat where it was yeah but it's like now that

[00:36:58] pull side i just bang that pull side because like i said for a long time i actually started shooting

[00:37:02] a pull shot for a while because i just i needed to manufacture points and i couldn't my rollover

[00:37:07] just sucked so okay um but you know it's it's the the mental part of foosball is always the hardest

[00:37:17] there's you know there's thousands of players out there that can pass in score oh and there are

[00:37:22] and there are guys we've never heard of tom that can do things that will blow our minds and

[00:37:27] and you know there are guys on the internet that are posting videos on youtube doing trick shots

[00:37:31] and i watch these things and i'm like oh that's really good that's really really seriously you thought of

[00:37:37] that yeah and then but the thing is like you know figuring out how to maneuver your way through a bracket

[00:37:45] is in and of itself just it's you know it's a whole different game like foosball is a game and then

[00:37:54] how do i get through this bracket you know and that's something that that i'm still trying to learn

[00:37:58] how to do so you know the guys at the top they've they've they've learned how to they've learned

[00:38:05] how to play foosball oh learned how to work their way through a bracket they've learned how to

[00:38:10] manage the table they've learned when to call their timeouts like you know they've mastered more

[00:38:15] than just one aspect of the game this is a the difference between uh really good regional players

[00:38:22] and people that actually go on the tour yeah yeah you don't get that experience and and i

[00:38:29] and i and i and i feel like if you're if you're a foosball player you know like you have a local scene

[00:38:35] you go out and play and you have people that tour and you don't tour and you're like right you're

[00:38:40] right there you're like you know you're scraping at their heels and you can't figure out how to

[00:38:44] improve you just you gotta go out and tour you have to yeah the the tour the tour experience

[00:38:51] makes you a better player for more than one reason right and and i've had this conversation with

[00:38:56] some guys back home in Massachusetts because they've asked me how do i get better and i'm like look

[00:39:01] you put the time in you practice you have a table you go out and play every week you just have to go

[00:39:06] tour right i said i spend my money um i spend my my time i'm away from my family i'm away from my work

[00:39:16] and i go and my only focus is foosball right and then while i'm there i have to figure out how to eat

[00:39:23] right how to stay hydrated yes how to rest right how to stay mentally tough all these things these

[00:39:29] boxes that i have to check to then maneuver my way through a bracket right i said when i come home

[00:39:36] right so like April 13th i'll be in i'll be in i'll be in Massachusetts i'm going to visit my

[00:39:43] i'm going up to visit my family yeah and i'm gonna go play i'll be at donk howlose we're

[00:39:48] gonna have a bring in a draw and then i finally talked richie cost and to play in me for a hundred

[00:39:52] dollars get out of here richie says gonna be the easiest hunter but i told him if i said if you

[00:39:56] just give me fifty bucks right now i'll let you out of it can you can you uh make sure we get a

[00:40:01] video of that because that that would be something we can use i'm gonna try to make sure somebody reports

[00:40:07] it right right but but i've explained to him right i'll go up there visit my family i'll go out

[00:40:13] and i say at night and play right and we're just kicking the ball around playing pickup games

[00:40:18] and some of these guys are playing pickup games in the hands of shaken i think i'm gonna pick up games

[00:40:24] and it's what i said i said you're nervous playing a pickup game what's wrong with you well i want to

[00:40:27] win i want to win i said yeah yeah but it's a pickup game it's a dollar like you know

[00:40:34] uh you know and they say i swear to god but but again like you know i'm it's a pickup game

[00:40:41] it's a pick up i said if you if you go if you go to a tournament you're gonna get a nose bleed because

[00:40:47] you don't you don't understand you don't understand what pressure is right you have no idea you

[00:40:54] know what it's like it's a completely different feeling and and i it's weird because this kind of

[00:41:01] takes me back to um i believe was twenty eleven the first time i actually played at a quote-unquote

[00:41:06] tournament uh New York state twenty eleven in suracuse new york and i was i mean worse than a beginner

[00:41:14] i was just just getting back into the game and uh and played uh in the beginners bracket in singles

[00:41:21] and played this uh this young lady from canada um trying to think of her name now kim anyway uh

[00:41:28] she said to me i've only been playing for six months before the before the match i thought oh

[00:41:34] okay let's at least i'll have a chance here she rolled me over i mean i think i might have scored twice

[00:41:40] you know the entire time and she was disciplined she was canadian of course that's that's a that's

[00:41:47] a big plus right there but at the time i'd never experienced that kind of pressure and i and i

[00:41:53] buckled because i just didn't have that experience to say hey relax just play your game pass the ball

[00:42:01] shoot you know i was i was okay if i if i was practicing on my own i could shoot the ball of course

[00:42:07] but that was like one of the first times i realized hey this is a completely different thing

[00:42:13] completely different from being in the local dyp yeah and and and the thing the thing that like

[00:42:20] you know as you as you go from beginner rookie amateur expert pro master like as you start to work

[00:42:27] your way through the ranks right mm-hmm you cut your teeth as a beginner as a rookie as an amateur

[00:42:33] you learn how to how to build a game put it together you know you start to learn how to win

[00:42:40] and how to how to be successful and apply things under pressure right right and then as you

[00:42:46] start to have success and work your way up and and and again the things the things that i say some

[00:42:54] are what i you know what i experience what i see in some are things that have been passed on to

[00:42:59] me by players above me so but i try to express the people i'm like you know again that you get nervous

[00:43:06] playing a pick-up game right and and you watch inside foods and you tell me now you know i've had

[00:43:14] some players some some players at just i'm not gonna name names right but i've had it's it was

[00:43:20] richie costum say anyway you know but i'm saying he's telling me like you know you know i watch inside

[00:43:27] foods and you know but he tells me he's like i watch inside foods and i'm watching these guys play

[00:43:34] and he's like i can do what they do what's the difference between me and them and i told them

[00:43:38] and no and and and he was being look and i and i'm i'm not knocking rich but rich is just he's ignorant

[00:43:47] to the fact that there is a tremendous difference between a guy that plays on Tuesday nights at

[00:43:54] his local and a guy that plays on tour yeah it's vast right so let's take let's take guys that are

[00:44:01] constantly in finals right so you know there was a string a couple years ago Blake Blake was in

[00:44:09] the finals all the time yeah Blake Tommy's always in finals Eric Hilton they're probably the top

[00:44:14] Goliant tour right now always in finals yeah Brandon Ryan right of course Tony okay so when you get to

[00:44:23] that level right a final is just you're just playing foosball right it's just another match now i'm

[00:44:31] not saying that there's no pressure where there are no nerves when you're playing for a world

[00:44:36] championship or you're playing for $15,000 or $20,000 or whatever it is that's a lot of money and

[00:44:41] i'm sure there's pressure but when you're playing for the winners bracket of open doubles at

[00:44:47] you know Wisconsin state it's a different there's there's not as much pressure there as opposed to

[00:44:56] you know playing for the winners bracket at worlds or playing your local dyp yeah so you know

[00:45:02] for guys like me i'm you know i'm working my way through these brackets now and learning how to

[00:45:10] manage this pressure and this stress management that's it and and and and and it's been

[00:45:17] it's been a process but i'm thankful that i i'm getting to play foosball and have the opportunity

[00:45:22] to do that and what's even what's even nicer is as i'm as i'm as i'm improving as a player i'm i'm

[00:45:31] creating these relationships and meeting these top guys who are just tremendous people not just

[00:45:38] foosball players but people who are who are giving me information that is i mean people would pay

[00:45:46] money for right so and and you know i think and i had this conversation with uh Kevin Scalces

[00:45:54] yesterday right because Kevin Kevin's a pro player who came up in the 90s and i told my said look man

[00:45:59] you know in the 90s you had top guys um who probably weren't so eager to give you information because

[00:46:06] yeah that's true yeah why would i help you get good so you can beat me right and he's he's told me

[00:46:13] specific uh instances with specific players and and now it's like you've got guys i mean Terry

[00:46:22] rufre example terries one of the nicest people on tour a great teacher and tremendous right um

[00:46:30] Kevin Romero has given me he he talked uh missype state a couple years ago after i'd played him at

[00:46:37] nationals uh he had been watching me he pulled me aside and missype and we had to talk for about 30

[00:46:42] minutes and you just gave me some insight on my shot that made i mean my my eyes open this big

[00:46:48] and it made such a huge difference right and then of course like Brandon um you know Billy

[00:46:55] just there's a list like even Blake i've asked Blake for some advice and he's given me

[00:47:00] just stuff that is little bits of advice that have changed my game so much yeah so it's like

[00:47:06] yeah you know and and i'm gonna tell you the you know some of these players

    [00:47:12] they're they're they're they're they're they're i mean they're wonderful people but

[00:47:16] they're willing to help you improve as long as they feel like they're not wasting their time

[00:47:20] when you're putting the work in right so you know if you if you if you ask for advice and you go

[00:47:26] home and you practice and apply it they're gonna make sure they're gonna watch you and see if you're

[00:47:30] applying if you're not applying then they're you know you're not gonna get any more time from them so

[00:47:35] um you know and and like for me personally if anybody listening if you ever see me at a tournament

[00:47:40] you have a question i'll do my best to help you in answer and i'll find somebody who will so

[00:47:44] because i i want to see players improve um if you get better then it makes it tough for me

[00:47:50] and i have to get better and you know i love it this leads me to my my next question before you

[00:47:56] when you and Brandon were playing it's the open yeah what did you ask him specifically especially

[00:48:03] just before the finals began um so there was no well hi asked him i said how do you want to play

[00:48:10] and he said i'm gonna play front and then after that i was like all right cool so i'll just

[00:48:15] okay well and it was like and and it was i mean it was kind of you know basic like how do you

[00:48:18] want to zone what do you want me to do and then you know i think in three games i scored two out

[00:48:24] of the back right nice but okay but it was but i didn't need to right it was yes um i had been

[00:48:31] passing the ball so the shots were there so i took advantage and then um you know as far as some of

[00:48:39] the information he gave me um you know he just gave me a bit of advice um

[00:48:48] that i'm gonna keep to myself you're gonna keep i knew you're gonna do that sorry i knew that

[00:48:53] sorry sorry but it was it was just it was very specific and but it's something that i have to

[00:49:01] apply and make my own right because yeah and i tried and i told him i'm like you know you and i

[00:49:07] were very different right i'm your mid 20s i'm mid 40s my arm is not your arm i can't do what you

[00:49:13] can do you know uh our level of aggression is different again uh you know you're chasing everything

[00:49:20] you're grabbing everything i'm you know i'm watching the ball go by twice before i grab it

[00:49:25] you know i'm a grab i'm aggressive in a different way so you know the way the way i approach things

[00:49:31] our games are just kind of polar opposites but you know the the the advice he gave me was

[00:49:38] was very very good advice i just have to uh i have to apply it to my game specifically

[00:49:44] okay okay you know um but you know like i said having the opportunity to play with uh

[00:49:50] you know i text i told him thank you of course i said thank you and yeah great

[00:49:54] grateful just to have the opportunity so here's a question when it comes to um

[00:49:59] um and of course your pro but playing with a pro master um in in that circumstance what

[00:50:07] what's the etiquette when it comes to diving up the prize let's say you know let's say there's a five

[00:50:12] six hundred dollar prize um does the majority go to the pro masters that what happens typically

[00:50:17] well i mean so first place was seven hundred dollars and he got three fifty and i got three

[00:50:22] fifty oh you know it was so again uh you know i'm sure there are um certain ways that uh

[00:50:32] you know certain people make certain deals and work things out sure um you know

[00:50:38] Brandon so the way this kind of all came about uh Georgia state a couple years ago

[00:50:44] i played Brandon in singles um and it went it went kind of

[00:50:49] yeah so it was it was five one five one five one five one going into game five right so

[00:50:57] i beat him five one he beat me five one i beat him five one he beat me five one

[00:51:02] and then we go into the fifth game and in my mind and i still remember because Mickey Munger

[00:51:07] was watching the match i looked at him and i said i got him right where i want him and he started

[00:51:10] laughing right but then but then i come out and i get up three oh on Brandon

[00:51:17] i steal the ball i get it on my three rod

[00:51:20] and i call time out right so again for anyone who are up three points

[00:51:25] in his guitar i was up three oh in game five and for anybody listening okay i want you to

[00:51:29] understand i want i'm gonna explain this to you so i have the utmost respect for Jim Stevens right

[00:51:34] Jim Stevens is watching more foosball than all of us and you know Jim has always been a big

[00:51:39] proponent of using your timeouts and but i learned a very valuable lesson in this situation okay

[00:51:47] you don't always have to use all your timeouts okay if you have momentum

[00:51:52] and things are going your way um keep keep going keep going right keep

[00:51:57] so and so i got the ball my three rod it's three nothing i have a chance to go up four nothing

[00:52:02] Brandon is on his heels like way way back on his heels so i call time out and then

[00:52:12] what's the book uh the mindful athlete talks about being in the moment right so now

[00:52:18] so now i step back from the table and there's people everywhere watching

[00:52:23] and i look and and i'm just gonna be completely transparent

[00:52:26] winner of this match place tom your and i'm looking in the pit and i see tom yours warming up and i was

[00:52:31] like yeah tom yours warming up for me it was like he's gonna get it next this is so i'm already

[00:52:39] looking past Brandon i've taken my mind off of this ball right and that's where everything

[00:52:46] imploded it was done right so he blocks me he blocks me scores right i was like okay that's one

[00:52:55] you're still it's three to one right next ball i pass get the ball i call time out again

[00:53:03] oh no yes oh no yeah right because i'm stupid that's why okay so so now i'm trying to regroup

[00:53:13] in my brain going okay focus dummy let's let put this put this so you have a world champ on his heels

[00:53:21] put him away put him away and he he came back he came back he beat me he beat me six four and over time

[00:53:27] and then after the match he he told me he said Randy he calls me goredito

[00:53:32] i know i saw that he said goredito he said i haven't been scared like that in two years he said

[00:53:38] nobody does that to me and so okay there's something well and then and i said yeah but i said i

[00:53:45] should have beat you he's like yeah but you didn't and i yeah yeah yeah he's right so at that tournament

[00:53:51] he asked me said you know when are we gonna play he said i want to play with you and i said dude

[00:53:55] i'll play with you anytime and it's just been it's been ongoing trying to find the tournament where

[00:54:00] we can play because obviously he's everywhere and i'm you know i stay pretty regional so this thing

[00:54:05] popped up and i sent him a text i was like are you going and he was like you know he's like

[00:54:10] yeah you want to play as like absolutely and you know so and and i understand that you know

[00:54:16] arrangements are made sometimes with certain players at a high level but you know he's my buddy

[00:54:21] i love the kid and and we just went and played foosball and you know like i said it was it was

[00:54:27] for me it was just a tremendous opportunity to play with the top player yeah yeah and and learn

[00:54:32] and and just kind of you know watch with my with my mouth open it's such a different thing right

[00:54:39] i mean such a different experience some of the stuff like i said he caught some stuff on a role and

[00:54:44] just turned it into a polka dead and you know just i mean some of this like i said he i'm watching him

[00:54:51] like you know a couple balls we switch and i'm watching him and i'm thinking he's gonna pass and

[00:54:56] then he whips out a left hook and i'm just like whoa like that thing was gone it's so fast you know

[00:55:02] it's uh it's always been like that since he got here he's been one of these i think it's because

[00:55:08] of the the style of of coastal rigging players they're just quick they're just fast it's and

[00:55:14] you know i think he's altered his game since he got here um because you know i think in some ways

[00:55:20] if you're if you're playing too fast you're not you're not playing the chess match as much

[00:55:25] so he ran into some issues where he had to slow himself down yeah generally speaking he still has

[00:55:30] that speed you know he still has that amazing well and this is what's scary about him right and you're

[00:55:35] absolutely right like he's he's just such a monster and it's just gas gas gas gas gas and now he's

[00:55:41] learned to like when he needs a point let me take my time and get a point yes and usually he does

[00:55:48] and it's just like since he's started being able to do that he's gotten really like

[00:55:54] he was already like really good like great and now he's just kind of almost gone up a level so um

[00:56:01] you know it's it's i think for him now it's even more just the mental part trying to uh

[00:56:07] you know trying to play chess yeah yeah um you know and he's a smart kid he's a smart kid and

[00:56:14] he's still young so he's got a lot of time and i think he has uh he really has the ability

[00:56:19] and the chance uh the opportunity to be you know one of the greatest players so you think about

[00:56:24] for branded future i mean he's got he's got some people in his way a couple people you know

[00:56:28] Ryan War being won and of course Tommy York um yeah even Sammy Dijon and i you know i i don't

[00:56:35] biased but you know he actually Sammy beat him and uh you know tkl so well so and i'm look

[00:56:45] i'm not saying i'm not biased look samsonite is uh i've known him since he was a little boy i'm

[00:56:50] no meano a long time i look i'm always rooting for that kid he's a good boy and i love that kid uh

[00:56:56] but now that he's now that he's getting big and he's really starting to hit the ball and not even

[00:57:00] that the fact that he has access to to Tommy yep you know i mean he's regular basis

[00:57:08] he's gonna be scary man and he is gonna be look him Jacob um there were two the mason brothers are in

[00:57:16] Wisconsin and they made a nice little run and open doubles they got to they were at that a top 10

[00:57:21] finish i think they finished ninth oh nice okay there's a there's a lot of young blood in this game

[00:57:26] Tom and and i think you're coming uh it yeah and you know what but i i think it could just it

[00:57:32] could get better it could get a lot better uh i mean it's it's great i'm glad i'm i'm happy to see

[00:57:38] it uh you know i mean look Maya and isabel just took second women's doubles um you know there's a

[00:57:46] lot of young blood and it's it's great to see and i'm excited for the future foosball um

[00:57:52] but yeah i like us that man i mean last weekend was a blast shout out to Shannon man

[00:57:57] she ended a great job she's honored they ran a great tournament if they do it again which i'm sure

[00:58:02] they will you got you gotta go you gotta go check it out if you're in the south and you can get

[00:58:07] over there get over there because it was it was a really really good time you know it's really

[00:58:10] impressive that is that Shannon is running the tournament and yet he and do a call-pupper you know

[00:58:15] we're killing it you know they're doing great yeah well they're gonna play together in Vegas

[00:58:20] holophames coming up yep uh holophames coming up they're gonna be playing so they wanted to get um

[00:58:26] they want to get some table time in um wow the final of open singles i they still haven't put a

[00:58:33] winner in really still still yeah it decided it it's still showing i don't know if it's got 127 minutes

[00:58:43] so two hours i don't know if something's going on if they didn't put a winner in or if there's

[00:58:48] a crazy dip going on i don't know top no they're playing Tommy and Ryan are playing it's been 127 minutes

[00:58:55] whoa so yep and then uh Matt Weber and Teddy Krueger making a nice run in open doubles they have to

[00:59:01] play Ryan Moore and Mike Borowski for one of the losers Jacob and Brandon sitting king seat

[00:59:05] yep um and um almost everything else is done there's a scary combo right there Jacob

[00:59:13] and and Brandon wow yeah that's a that's a lot of gas a lot of gas yeah a lot of gas a lot of gas

[00:59:20] no breaks all gas so we have a couple things coming up soon i mean next weekend we've got the smash

[00:59:26] down here in upstate new york um Oklahoma state is April 4th through the seventh at magus yep

[00:59:33] that's gonna be a biggie and do you know who's gonna be an Oklahoma state um i'm not 100% sure

[00:59:41] i know i mean i know it's it's supposed to be good i mean look anything right now uh

[00:59:48] let's look i'm not i can only speak for this region where i live

[00:59:53] anything going on the south right now is going to be pretty solid the south is pretty pumped about

[00:59:58] fusible right now oh yeah um and then Oklahoma i think Oklahoma's a 20k and they're paying

[01:00:04] they're paying a thousand bucks for pro doubles a thousand bucks for doubles a thousand

[01:00:08] but i think they're paying out really well so expect to see a good turnout there i think that's

[01:00:12] uh Tony Owens thing and Tony does a nice job right um so and there you know they'll have

[01:00:19] they'll have Texas guys there uh Oklahoma's got a pretty good they got they got a pretty good

[01:00:24] following yeah that one will be good um magus is it's been the staple for them they they keep

[01:00:29] having you know great tournaments there um yeah the other thing that we all we're gonna have to

[01:00:34] talk about in future episodes very very soon we got to we got to get into the itsf uh world

[01:00:40] world series of tornado which is a memorial day weekend are you have you major plans are you

[01:00:45] going to be there um still on the fence okay i look i um you know i talked to my wife today

    [01:00:53] and uh i'm i'm like 65 35 okay i look you know i i told somebody the other day i wasn't going but

[01:01:05] it's fusible man and i it's like i'm i'm like i'm really kind of curious to see how this is

[01:01:12] gonna go yeah yeah i think the big question is too um because it's a different format we're talking

[01:01:17] european style um yeah there's you know there's a junior division and i think a lot of people

[01:01:23] that curious us to how many juniors you know uh they i'm gonna show what i'm gonna be there um yeah

[01:01:29] you know you take a take for instance uh you know samy d he's still eligible to play juniors

[01:01:35] yeah but if you place juniors he can't play the open because they run at the same time simultaneously

[01:01:41] congruent yeah well and and uh and the pay like they they're pretty you know i don't know if

[01:01:47] anybody read the um the little printout email to whatever it is that they have but you know even

[01:01:54] the pay structure they're pretty transparent with the pay structure yeah um you know it all

[01:01:59] looks pretty good man i think it looks like really really interesting i i i have to be there i just

[01:02:05] i think it's just gonna just be just be there to watch and see how that goes oh yeah it's a eight-hour

[01:02:11] drive so yeah you know my what my wife um that friday before memorial day is her last day

[01:02:19] for the school year mm-hmm so we might we might we might hop in the car and drive over there i don't know

[01:02:27] you gotta join me on the air there'll be of course i have to get confirmation as to whether

[01:02:31] nothing want being there but you know it's it's uh i wouldn't they want you there well i wouldn't

[01:02:35] they want you there i i would go there just to just to observe and uh set up and and do

[01:02:40] do stuff and talk to people of course but well whatever as long as as long as they know no like

[01:02:46] no people from France there yeah right right trying uh trying to we we poo poo and all that stuff right

[01:02:56] well i mean if you're gonna travel that far from France i think there's gonna be bathroom breaks

[01:03:01] what can i tell you whatever plan on zini all right uh that was that i hope there's a

[01:03:08] bond zini there i hope they have a bunch of different tables sure let's go let's go it's about time

[01:03:13] it's about time we in this country we're we're so tornado happy um you know the rest of the world is

[01:03:20] saying hey guys there's some other tables out there maybe you might want to get practiced up on because

[01:03:25] yeah we need to stretch ourselves we need to stretch ourselves still we do for sure oh no doubt no doubt

[01:03:31] yeah well i you know this was fun time i had a good time oh man we have not exhausted you know

[01:03:36] everything and we got plenty plenty more material yet to come because these new tournaments that are

[01:03:40] coming up very soon oh and i'm just a quick mention that uh you know hopefully tomby wins tonight

[01:03:46] because i want them in a good mood next weekend when he and i played together in the smashdown

[01:03:51] oh you guys are playing sweet that's awesome yes nice um nice actually i don't know maybe

[01:03:57] maybe you want him a little mad i don't even want him a little mad uh it's uh it's gonna be

[01:04:02] interesting unfortunately uh uh sam has to be in in in florida for for a baseball uh baseball thing

[01:04:09] so he won't be in in the competition but you know that's okay because i know uh

[01:04:14] Philbrook and uh in Bruce Welton they're supposed to be there and so yeah you know we'll have some

[01:04:20] fun with those guys no doubt yeah man it's a good time yeah awesome well i'll give you a full

[01:04:26] report when i see again but yeah i'll be well i'll be wait i want to hear it i want to hear all

[01:04:31] about it let's go and we are going to stream it by the way so sweet it'll be uh streamed on

[01:04:36] facebook and i believe we're working on maybe a possibility of youtube but we'll see we'll see what

[01:04:40] happens nice nice well you know again guys like us you know other guys like us get to play with

[01:04:46] top guys you know it's uh we're just you know we just got to like that time yeah that's it you

[01:04:51] got a got a rise to the occasion you know what the funny thing is you said this earlier and i'll

[01:04:55] just finish with this but when you're playing with somebody that that's up here you got to climb

[01:05:01] halfway at least you know you gotta you know that moment you've got to be you've got to be at least

[01:05:06] you know willing to do that it's not a yeah in a pickup game you know no no and again you just

[01:05:12] you gotta do enough to just take you know you have to keep them comfortable comfortable and

[01:05:20] confident as long as you do that they're gonna they don't have as long as they don't have to worry

[01:05:24] about you and they can just focus on what they have to do yeah it'll be fine right yep you get a

[01:05:27] couple blocks you dump the ball you're good to go that's it that's all you got to do with a guy like

[01:05:32] that so do you know strap a saddle on that kid right up to the finals let's go i'll bring the extra

[01:05:38] you know uh silt account lubricant for the the the scorekeeper so i can you know that's right make

[01:05:43] sure they move smooth beads yes right indeed well work your finger get your finger stretched out

[01:05:49] hey man officially i want to congratulate you on air for for you know the open win with with

[01:05:55] Brandon monos last weekend man that was fantastic thank you appreciate it and it's

[01:05:59] and ain't the last time i guarantee you that i hope not this this was actually my my fourth straight pro

[01:06:06] doubles final wow nice yeah fourth tournament in a row i made it to pro doubles final i'm two for
