Randall Stelly, Louisiana fooser, celebrated Father's Day like other dads-with a nice steak. However, he also spent some of his day with FoosTalk Live. He even invited some of his "foosball family" to jump in-Isabelle and Brandon!

[00:02:06] Yet again, this is episode number 212

[00:02:09] I'm Tom, let's have some fun tonight

    [00:02:12] Happy Father's Day

[00:02:14] Of course a lot of Foosball dads out there

[00:02:16] Foosball fathers who spent a lot of time on the table

[00:02:20] And we're going to talk about Foosball and Father's Day

[00:02:23] On our episode tonight of course

[00:02:25] We'll be talking about Foosball anyway

[00:02:27] It's always best to talk to somebody who really loves the game

[00:02:30] And knows what he's talking about

[00:02:32] That would be Randy Raposo from the great state of Alabama

    [00:02:35] Hello Randy

[00:02:37] Hey Tom, you got the first part right

    [00:02:40] I love it, I don't know if I know what I'm talking about

[00:02:43] But yeah, happy Father's Day to everybody

    [00:02:46] It's uh, yeah

[00:02:49] I mean tonight we got a great guest on

[00:02:53] I'm looking forward to our conversation, should be fun

[00:02:57] It's interesting, you know, you think about the royalty

    [00:03:00] Within the Foosball field

[00:03:02] You know dads and their kids who play Foosball

[00:03:05] I mean, you got to mention the family Rue of course

[00:03:08] You got to mention the Balcos name

[00:03:11] You've got to mention Dejeune

[00:03:13] There's quite a few actually when you think about it

[00:03:17] And you even forget when you go a little deeper

    [00:03:20] Tony's a second generation player

    [00:03:22] Right, Spreedman

[00:03:24] Billy's mom Nancy was a tour player

    [00:03:27] There you go

[00:03:28] From back in the early 90s

[00:03:30] And then Mary Moore and her son Ryan

    [00:03:33] So

    [00:03:34] Case in point

    [00:03:35] Yep, no question

[00:03:37] A lot of the best Foosers are second gen Foosers

[00:03:41] So it's thanks to their parents

[00:03:45] Their moms but even more their dads today

    [00:03:48] This is the time

[00:03:50] And of course without further ado

[00:03:52] We do have to travel to the great state of Louisiana

[00:03:55] To talk to a very famous Foosball dad

[00:03:58] Or Foosball father, pardon me

[00:04:00] His name is Randall Stelly

[00:04:02] Maybe you recognize his name

[00:04:04] Randall welcome to Foos Talk Live

    [00:04:06] Doing great

    [00:04:08] Enjoying this Louisiana

[00:04:10] It's been raining all day

    [00:04:12] All day?

    [00:04:13] Pretty much

[00:04:14] So it's a day to spend outside

    [00:04:16] It's been 100 in Alabama

[00:04:19] Like the past three days it's been 100 degrees

[00:04:22] We have a relaxing day

    [00:04:24] It's rainy days

[00:04:25] So Randall on Father's Day

[00:04:27] How do they treat you in the house

[00:04:29] Do they take care of you?

    [00:04:31] Oh yeah, real good

    [00:04:34] Got a great wife

[00:04:36] The kids take care of me

    [00:04:38] Really good

    [00:04:40] Good father's day

    [00:04:41] Good father's day

    [00:04:42] Nice dinner

    [00:04:43] Really nice

[00:04:44] Daddy gets a big piece of chicken

    [00:04:47] Well, steak tonight

    [00:04:49] Steak?

    [00:04:50] Nice

    [00:04:51] Let me tell you

[00:04:52] That's the way to go

    [00:04:53] Steaks for sure

    [00:04:54] No it's um

    [00:04:55] I would say

[00:04:57] Mother's Day is probably the busiest day

[00:04:59] When it comes to getting out to restaurants

[00:05:01] You know just taking mom out

    [00:05:03] But I think for Father's Day

    [00:05:04] It's more about barbecuing

[00:05:06] It's about hanging out in the backyard

    [00:05:08] Right

[00:05:09] It was a good barbecue

    [00:05:10] Yeah

[00:05:11] And of course in Louisiana

[00:05:13] You guys have some of the best barbecue around

[00:05:15] Although I don't want to start any arguments here

[00:05:17] But I guess you know

[00:05:18] There's some other places that might claim that fame

[00:05:21] But what's the best barbecue in Louisiana by the way?

    [00:05:25] The barbecue

[00:05:27] Barbecues have a good place to barbecue

    [00:05:29] But really seafood

[00:05:31] And Cajun cook is the best

    [00:05:33] Rice and gravy

    [00:05:35] Steak, rice and gravy

    [00:05:36] Chicken, rice and gravy

    [00:05:37] Pork chops

    [00:05:38] Yeah

[00:05:39] What kind of cuts did you guys have today

    [00:05:42] What'd you have?

    [00:05:44] Rice, rib-ice

    [00:05:45] Yeah

    [00:05:46] Rib-ice

    [00:05:47] Nice

[00:05:48] Listen the best steak I've ever had in my life

[00:05:50] And I've eaten steaks all over the country

[00:05:54] In different parts of the world

[00:05:55] It was in a hole in the wall

    [00:05:57] At Louisiana State

    [00:05:58] Right

    [00:05:59] The bar on vets

[00:06:00] I don't know if anybody remembers that place

[00:06:02] Where they used to hold Louisiana State

    [00:06:04] A couple years ago

[00:06:05] My good buddy Troy Callahan said

    [00:06:07] You want a steak

[00:06:08] Walk out of the hotel

    [00:06:09] Take a left

    [00:06:10] Go down a block

[00:06:11] And you'll walk right past it

    [00:06:13] Right?

    [00:06:14] He said the guy

[00:06:15] Every time I come to this hotel

    [00:06:16] I go there

[00:06:17] The steak, they got a big steak

    [00:06:18] And a small steak

[00:06:19] The big steak is $15

[00:06:20] He said if you don't like it

    [00:06:22] I'll pay for it

    [00:06:23] I said okay

    [00:06:24] So I went over

[00:06:25] I tried and the guy cooks it with a thermometer

[00:06:27] Sits there, cooks it to temperature

[00:06:29] And then he lathers it in Cajun butter

[00:06:31] I had two steaks the first day

[00:06:33] The first day I had two of them

[00:06:35] The best steak I've ever had in my life

    [00:06:36] Unbelievable

    [00:06:37] The short

[00:06:38] Blue jeans, short to girls

[00:06:40] That's the name of the place

    [00:06:42] Yeah

    [00:06:43] They call them

[00:06:44] Blue jeans, short to where

[00:06:46] That's the name of the place you're talking about

    [00:06:48] With the steak

[00:06:49] I thought it was called the bar on vets

[00:06:52] I thought that was the name of it

[00:06:54] But it might be something different

[00:06:56] But that, the best steak I've ever had

    [00:06:58] It was a steak

[00:07:00] And a baked potato and a little salad

[00:07:02] I didn't touch the potato with the salad

    [00:07:04] The steak was

[00:07:05] I believe it was worth it

    [00:07:07] Believe

    [00:07:08] Daisy Duke

    [00:07:09] Say

    [00:07:10] Daisy Duke

    [00:07:11] I listen

    [00:07:12] Daisy Duke

[00:07:13] My wife might be listening

[00:07:14] So no, I don't know what you're talking about

    [00:07:15] I didn't see any of that

    [00:07:16] Okay

[00:07:17] So the steak was good though

[00:07:19] You gotta go back to the 70s now

    [00:07:21] For Daisy Dukes

[00:07:22] Of course, Dukes a hazard

    [00:07:24] Yeah, that's

[00:07:26] Nah, Tom, Tom they're back

[00:07:28] I was just in Florida with my wife

[00:07:30] Believe me, they're back there everywhere

    [00:07:32] It's rough going dude

[00:07:33] Yeah, don't nobody want to see that

    [00:07:35] I'm just saying

    [00:07:36] But Randall, dude

[00:07:39] You know, we've been seeing you a lot lately

[00:07:42] Past few years and especially like your daughter

[00:07:44] Has, she's obviously one of the rising stars

    [00:07:47] In the foosball community

[00:07:48] Just made history with Sullivan

    [00:07:51] Winning open doubles

[00:07:53] She had a great weekend

    [00:07:54] Open mixed

    [00:07:55] Women's doubles

    [00:07:56] Open doubles

    [00:07:57] I mean, she's playing great

[00:07:59] Obviously got her start with you

[00:08:02] But I want to know when did you get started?

[00:08:04] When and where dude, how did you start with

    [00:08:06] I started playing

    [00:08:08] I started playing 12 years old

[00:08:10] My dad bought me a little glass top foosball table

    [00:08:12] He was a musician

[00:08:13] He played with Freddie Fender

[00:08:14] You know, a couple of big bands

[00:08:15] He played with a guitar player

    [00:08:16] Freddie Fender?

[00:08:17] He played with Freddie Fender

[00:08:18] My dad was James Tell

[00:08:19] Yeah, he played guitar with Freddie

[00:08:20] He played with a lot of other people too

[00:08:22] But he played with Freddie

[00:08:23] Went on tour with him

    [00:08:24] No kidding

[00:08:25] He played the glass top table from one of the bars

    [00:08:26] He was working at

[00:08:27] And I started playing by myself

    [00:08:28] And I kept playing

[00:08:29] And I got into college

[00:08:30] And this one had a

    [00:08:31] Harry's little bar

[00:08:33] Little foosball place right on top of

    [00:08:35] Campus copies

    [00:08:37] At UL

[00:08:38] At USL at the time I was going

[00:08:40] And we played a lot of foosball up there at college

    [00:08:42] You know, between classes

    [00:08:43] Or a raptor class

[00:08:45] And then I moved on to another little bar

    [00:08:47] Down the road

[00:08:48] Which we all played after

[00:08:49] You know, we played a lot of tournaments

    [00:08:51] Nice

[00:08:52] And we went into the 90s

[00:08:54] And I went to a couple of world championships

    [00:08:55] When I was younger

[00:08:56] And then I started working

[00:08:58] And I was like, yes

[00:09:00] You know, I worked for 25 years

[00:09:01] And I was out of the foosball for a long time

    [00:09:04] Back in

    [00:09:06] Six years ago

    [00:09:08] And

    [00:09:10] Ever since, you know

    [00:09:11] I mean, I loved it

    [00:09:12] I mean, I loved the game

    [00:09:13] I just didn't have the opportunity

[00:09:14] To play as much then, you know

[00:09:16] This is the kind of thing

    [00:09:17] I think a lot of people

[00:09:18] They kind of dabble in it

    [00:09:19] When they're, you know

[00:09:20] Grade school, high school, college

[00:09:22] But something happens along the way

[00:09:24] Where they just get bit

[00:09:26] And they got to play

[00:09:28] When did that happen to you, Randall?

[00:09:30] When I was playing in college

[00:09:33] I went to about five world championships in Dallas

    [00:09:36] Wow

    [00:09:37] And I enjoyed it

    [00:09:38] But I didn't have the tutelage

[00:09:40] That some of these young ones have now, you know

[00:09:42] So I learned quite a bit of my own

[00:09:44] But then when I got back into this game

    [00:09:47] Years back

    [00:09:49] It was during COVID

    [00:09:51] And COVID started

[00:09:52] So we couldn't play any bars no more

[00:09:54] So I brought a game to the house

[00:09:56] And we would have a lot of people here at my house

[00:09:58] We did it for almost three years

[00:10:00] My wife would go to the firms, they loved it

[00:10:02] We had three tables at a little mid-air room

[00:10:04] And one little table on the outside in the garage

[00:10:06] We had a little camera

[00:10:07] We can watch the videos from inside

    [00:10:09] Cool

    [00:10:10] From outside

[00:10:11] We had a little fire pit out there

[00:10:12] We had a great time at my house for a long time

    [00:10:13] No doubt

    [00:10:14] That's how Isabelle started

[00:10:15] Because we brought the game to the house

    [00:10:17] And she started playing

[00:10:18] And getting on the table

[00:10:19] And then she started liking it

    [00:10:20] She started loving it

[00:10:21] It's not that long ago

[00:10:23] That was only a couple of years

    [00:10:25] She's only been playing

[00:10:27] Yes, four or five years now

    [00:10:28] I'm not exactly sure

[00:10:29] But during COVID she started playing

    [00:10:30] She started playing

[00:10:31] Wow, I had no idea

    [00:10:32] No idea

[00:10:33] I thought maybe when she was five or six

[00:10:35] She was standing on a box and playing

    [00:10:37] Perhaps

    [00:10:38] But wow

[00:10:39] She didn't know anything about the game at the time

[00:10:41] And my boys didn't play

[00:10:42] But when she saw the tables in there

[00:10:44] We saw how competitive we were

    [00:10:46] She jumped in

    [00:10:47] She started playing

[00:10:48] And she started teaching herself

[00:10:49] And then I worked with her

    [00:10:50] And then Carl Cubido

    [00:10:51] Worked with her

[00:10:52] Over here at the local I-Pro

[00:10:54] And then from there on

[00:10:56] We had other people working with her

    [00:10:57] But she's coming a long ways

[00:10:59] In a little bit of time

    [00:11:00] No doubt

    [00:11:01] Man, that's

[00:11:02] The last five, six years

    [00:11:03] I've learned a lot

[00:11:04] But it's harder for an old man

[00:11:05] To learn as fast for sure

    [00:11:07] But I've come a long ways

[00:11:09] I totally understand what you're saying there

[00:11:12] Man, no, it's to watch her

    [00:11:15] Do what she did

[00:11:17] I mean in Illinois State

[00:11:18] I mean how does that feel as a dad

    [00:11:20] To watch that happen

    [00:11:23] Well, in your life

    [00:11:24] I mean, you know

[00:11:25] Her and Sully are good friends

[00:11:27] They get to play together sometimes

[00:11:28] I love it when they do play together

[00:11:30] And they got similar goals

    [00:11:33] They got similar goals

    [00:11:34] As for foosball wise

[00:11:35] They want to win the world championships

[00:11:37] They'd like to win the world championships

    [00:11:38] That'd be nice

[00:11:39] I'd like to see that happen

[00:11:40] Eventually, it's going to be a little while

[00:11:42] But I'd love to see that go done

    [00:11:44] They can do it

    [00:11:45] No question about it

    [00:11:47] Man, that's exciting

    [00:11:48] So now have you

[00:11:50] Spent a lot of time talking to Terry Rue

[00:11:52] And you know, Sully's dad

[00:11:55] Has he given you any secrets?

    [00:11:57] Terminal is local terminal

[00:11:58] We get to talk all the time

    [00:12:00] Nice

    [00:12:01] We play

    [00:12:02] Crawley

    [00:12:03] On Friday nights

[00:12:04] And we play Glorious over here

[00:12:05] In Lafayette and Max's on Thursday nights

[00:12:07] But we have our big tournament

    [00:12:08] October 4th, 5th and 6th

[00:12:10] Battle of the Bayou at Louisiana Open

    [00:12:12] At Sam's Place

    [00:12:13] It's an arcade

    [00:12:14] And the first two

[00:12:16] They got junior tournaments also

    [00:12:17] And we're going to

[00:12:18] You know, kids club is going to be there

[00:12:19] And we're going to do a lot of special things

    [00:12:21] Cool

[00:12:22] We've got to get the battle of the bayou

    [00:12:23] On our list

    [00:12:24] On our tournament

[00:12:25] We have a thing called the tournament beat

[00:12:26] Where we list all the different tournaments

    [00:12:27] Around the country

[00:12:28] So we'll definitely get the battle

[00:12:29] And the bayou up there right away

    [00:12:31] And you know

    [00:12:32] I appreciate it

    [00:12:33] Yeah, if you've got a chance

[00:12:34] I'll send you an email

[00:12:35] You can always send me the information

    [00:12:36] That'd be great

    [00:12:37] Appreciate that

    [00:12:38] Yeah, Kevin Hayes

    [00:12:40] Sent me the flyer

[00:12:42] I can send that over to you Tom

    [00:12:43] Oh, thanks

[00:12:44] And I went last year

    [00:12:45] And great tournament

    [00:12:47] You know, Louisiana

[00:12:49] I mean they love Fuzoval man

[00:12:50] And they did a great job

[00:12:51] They put on a great event

    [00:12:52] So this year

    [00:12:54] I wouldn't expect it to be

    [00:12:56] Anything less than

[00:12:58] The same or if not better

    [00:13:00] Than last year

    [00:13:01] You know

    [00:13:02] Yeah, and I've seen

    [00:13:04] Some of that Sam's

    [00:13:06] Rocket arcade stuff

    [00:13:07] You guys got that

[00:13:08] Looks like a great spot man

    [00:13:09] So you guys

    [00:13:10] Your local scene

    [00:13:11] You're playing like

    [00:13:12] Eight nights a week

    [00:13:13] I mean you guys

[00:13:14] Got a lot of Fuzoval down there

[00:13:15] We had four tournaments this week

[00:13:17] We had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

    [00:13:19] Wow

    [00:13:20] That's paradise

    [00:13:22] That is paradise

[00:13:23] As far as Fuzoval goes

    [00:13:24] That's awesome

    [00:13:26] Man

[00:13:27] The last few people have it good

[00:13:28] They have a lot of tournaments to play

[00:13:29] They have a lot of opportunities

[00:13:30] To play in different places

[00:13:31] You know, so it's great

    [00:13:32] It's a great opportunity

    [00:13:33] No doubt

[00:13:34] I think Louisiana goes kind of

[00:13:36] It flies under the radar

    [00:13:37] As far as like

    [00:13:38] You know, Fuzoval scenes

    [00:13:39] Everybody talks about

    [00:13:41] Colorado

    [00:13:42] And Texas

    [00:13:43] And Florida

    [00:13:44] But I mean

    [00:13:45] You guys have

[00:13:46] You guys have master players

[00:13:47] You have high pro players

    [00:13:49] I mean

[00:13:50] You have multiple world champions now

    [00:13:52] Between Terry, Brandon, Isabel

    [00:13:55] You know

[00:13:56] I think people kind of underestimate

[00:13:58] I'm going to be honest with you

[00:13:59] The whole southeast part of the country

    [00:14:01] Right

[00:14:02] From Louisiana over to Florida

    [00:14:04] Louisiana, Alabama

    [00:14:07] Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida

    [00:14:10] It's a hotbed of Fuzoval

[00:14:12] And I don't think people in the rest

[00:14:13] Of the country really realize

[00:14:14] The level of competition down here

    [00:14:17] So

    [00:14:18] You know

    [00:14:19] And again

    [00:14:20] I think that's another reason

    [00:14:21] Why Isabel has skyrocketed

[00:14:24] As far as her ability to play

    [00:14:26] Her winning

[00:14:27] You know, I watched the

[00:14:29] The world championship in Dallas

    [00:14:31] I watched the women's final match

[00:14:33] Dude, that was one of the best matches

    [00:14:34] I've seen in a long time

    [00:14:36] It was so good

    [00:14:37] So, so good

    [00:14:39] So, you know

    [00:14:41] Being her dad

    [00:14:42] And having, you know

[00:14:44] That obviously she's your kid

[00:14:45] You have a connection with her

    [00:14:46] And like

[00:14:47] Does she ever talk to you about

    [00:14:49] You know

[00:14:50] How she feels going into a match

    [00:14:52] Emotions or

    [00:14:53] Is she just

    [00:14:54] She seems super competitive

    [00:14:56] But I mean

    [00:14:57] Like what's, you know

    [00:14:59] First coach

[00:15:00] That was her first coach

[00:15:01] But daddy's not a coach no more

    [00:15:02] Yeah

    [00:15:03] He coaches dad

    [00:15:04] He doesn't coach him

    [00:15:05] He coaches dad

    [00:15:06] Yeah

    [00:15:07] Yeah

[00:15:08] She looks like she just eats raw meat

[00:15:10] And shoots ice water into her veins

    [00:15:12] Because

    [00:15:13] No, and I've played

[00:15:14] I've played her a bunch of times

    [00:15:15] She's so, she's tough man

    [00:15:17] She's tough

[00:15:18] Yes, a lot of competition over here

[00:15:19] It means she plays against Brendan all the time

[00:15:21] I mean they play together

[00:15:22] They play against each other all the time

[00:15:23] And Terry Ru playing right here

[00:15:25] With Termers Wood is too

[00:15:26] And we got a lot of competition

    [00:15:27] It makes everybody better

    [00:15:28] Oh yeah

    [00:15:29] You learn from everybody

[00:15:30] Usually when you play in a term

    [00:15:31] People, you play

[00:15:32] You learn from each person that you play with

[00:15:34] And you might take one little piece of it

[00:15:36] Which you get to your game

[00:15:37] And add it to your game

    [00:15:38] It's all a pinch

    [00:15:39] Everybody's like that

    [00:15:40] Yeah

    [00:15:41] Yeah

    [00:15:42] Absolutely

    [00:15:43] You get better

    [00:15:44] It's such a cool scene

[00:15:45] So how many people show up at the average

[00:15:49] I mean you get four nights a week

[00:15:50] And how many people are showing up for these?

    [00:15:52] We get an average

[00:15:53] At Glorious we get an average of about nine to ten teams

    [00:15:55] A night

    [00:15:56] Or whatever it is

    [00:15:57] Nine to ten teams

[00:15:58] At Sam's we get about twelve to fourteen

    [00:16:01] Wow

    [00:16:02] And it's just

[00:16:03] You know around eight or nine

[00:16:05] You know something like that

    [00:16:06] Oh man

[00:16:07] We have a lot of people playing

[00:16:08] I mean on my call list alone

[00:16:09] I have like fifty people on my call list

[00:16:10] That is her mind or list

[00:16:11] You don't check some every Wednesday night

[00:16:13] Let them know the term is coming up

[00:16:14] And we put it on Facebook and all that stuff too

    [00:16:16] But yeah

[00:16:17] We have a lot more players than that

[00:16:19] You know it's just like the regular call list

[00:16:20] I have that reminds people

    [00:16:21] Yeah

    [00:16:22] That's an incredible scene

[00:16:24] I mean it's all enjoyed from all levels

    [00:16:26] Right

[00:16:27] Now it's in upstate New York

    [00:16:29] Here in Albany

[00:16:30] If we get six teams

    [00:16:32] We're super happy

[00:16:34] That's the most we can expect

[00:16:37] For a Friday night especially

    [00:16:39] But man

    [00:16:40] That's cool ten teams

[00:16:42] We had one Saturday night

    [00:16:44] Normally it's a little bit slower

[00:16:45] Saturday night because we played

    [00:16:46] Wednesday, Thursday, Friday already

    [00:16:48] Sure

[00:16:49] And we had a little bit more

[00:16:50] We had like six teams or whatever

[00:16:52] And we have a new tournament

    [00:16:54] That Lacksie brought up

    [00:16:55] It's a double tournament

[00:16:58] Where your name is in one bracket

[00:17:00] And one in the other brackets

[00:17:01] So you play in two brackets

[00:17:02] And then if you play it gets yourself

[00:17:03] Then it means you let the two opponents

[00:17:06] You're two parties playing each other

[00:17:08] And keep all of it

    [00:17:09] It's a pretty good tournament

    [00:17:10] It's pretty neat

[00:17:11] But then we tried last night

    [00:17:12] It was great

    [00:17:13] And it's working, huh?

[00:17:14] Have a little bit less people

    [00:17:17] That play

[00:17:18] It's better to do that

[00:17:19] You put a lot more playing time

[00:17:20] And you play with two different

[00:17:21] You play with two different partners

    [00:17:23] It was nice

[00:17:24] And I love the fact that

    [00:17:26] You mix it up

[00:17:27] And you try different things

    [00:17:28] It's like

    [00:17:29] You have to

    [00:17:30] Yeah, the same

[00:17:33] I go to my local every Friday night

[00:17:35] It's the same eight guys

[00:17:36] And we do a draw

    [00:17:37] And it's like

[00:17:38] You know, I don't think people really understand

[00:17:40] In order to grow as a player

[00:17:43] One, you have to compete

[00:17:44] You have to put yourself out there

[00:17:45] And then two, you have to

[00:17:47] Just you have to play a lot

[00:17:49] And play a lot of different ways

    [00:17:50] And I think again

[00:17:53] The fact like just a high level of competition

    [00:17:55] I mean, I've

[00:17:58] I want to ask Sullivan this

[00:18:01] And I'd love to ask Isabella this

[00:18:03] But I think I already know the answer

[00:18:05] But it's like, do you think that playing against a player

[00:18:08] Like Terry or Brandon on a daily basis

[00:18:11] Contributes to you being as good as you are

[00:18:13] As fast as you are

[00:18:14] I mean, the answer is yes

[00:18:16] But like, you know, so if we eliminate Terry

[00:18:20] From Sullivan and Brandon from Isabella

[00:18:23] You know, are they as good as they are?

    [00:18:26] Right?

[00:18:27] Do you think they're as good as they are?

    [00:18:29] I mean, I think Isabella is

    [00:18:32] Physically obviously

[00:18:33] Now she played softball, right?

    [00:18:35] Yes, very athletic

[00:18:37] Okay, so she's an athlete

    [00:18:38] I mean, she's a gifted athlete

[00:18:40] So you know the physical abilities is there

[00:18:42] But it's now it's a matter of building that foundation

[00:18:45] And having somebody show her how to do it right

    [00:18:47] Right?

[00:18:48] So, you know, I think exposure

[00:18:51] To that level of player

[00:18:53] Is going to help anybody just

    [00:18:55] You know, eye rocket

    [00:18:57] And I mean look, I

[00:19:00] Brandon can come live with me

[00:19:01] And I'll kick my wife out

    [00:19:02] It's fine

    [00:19:05] I'm next

    [00:19:06] I'm next

    [00:19:07] Yeah, whatever

[00:19:09] You know, I believe me

    [00:19:10] I understand but

[00:19:13] You know, being supportive in her

[00:19:16] In her chasing this foosball dream

    [00:19:18] Is a wonderful thing

[00:19:19] And I appreciate what you're doing man

    [00:19:22] Especially, you know

    [00:19:23] During COVID

[00:19:24] You guys having people at the house

    [00:19:25] Like, you know

[00:19:26] We were searching for places to play during COVID

    [00:19:29] So, you know

    [00:19:30] People come from Houston

[00:19:31] And people come from Houston and New Orleans

[00:19:33] We have 50 people here sometimes

[00:19:34] I mean, we had a lot of people

    [00:19:36] Oh dude

    [00:19:37] Yeah

[00:19:38] I mean, nobody wanted to do something

[00:19:41] And you know, over at my house everybody

    [00:19:43] And everybody came

[00:19:44] We had a great time

[00:19:45] We met a lot of good people

[00:19:46] A lot of good friends

[00:19:47] Made a lot of good friends

    [00:19:48] But yeah

[00:19:49] To you expect another question

[00:19:51] She's working her experience right here

    [00:19:54] It's helping her out

[00:19:55] To get that experience a lot quicker

[00:19:56] By playing all these different tournaments

[00:19:58] That's what she probably needs more of

[00:20:00] They can more experience it the better, you know

    [00:20:02] And she's moving up

[00:20:04] She's moving up there real quick, you know

    [00:20:06] Moving up, yeah

    [00:20:07] Her games

    [00:20:08] When I went to a tournament

    [00:20:09] And played with her

    [00:20:10] And played against her

[00:20:11] Like I think it was Oklahoma

[00:20:13] I went to Colorado right after two weeks later

[00:20:16] And so I'm playing her in singles

[00:20:17] We met about the fifth round

    [00:20:18] In amateur singles

    [00:20:19] And I said

    [00:20:21] Well, I'm a blocker

[00:20:23] I'm going to get a five man pretty good

[00:20:24] Well, she had to learn

    [00:20:25] Two whole new

[00:20:27] A whole new set up of passes

    [00:20:29] I mean, like she

[00:20:30] How did you learn that so fast?

[00:20:32] Well, I just did it in two weeks

    [00:20:33] That's the problem

    [00:20:34] Wow

[00:20:35] It's been about two years

    [00:20:36] Oh my God

[00:20:38] It's like they blew my mind

    [00:20:40] She did that

    [00:20:41] She just sat past

    [00:20:42] That was quick

    [00:20:43] Yeah

    [00:20:44] She told me up

[00:20:45] She ended up chairing me up

[00:20:46] She chairs me up all the time now

[00:20:47] So at least for Father's Day

[00:20:49] Do they let you win

[00:20:50] At least a couple of games

[00:20:52] If they let me win

    [00:20:53] I don't want to play

[00:20:55] I like to win for real

    [00:20:57] Yeah

[00:20:58] Me and Isabel played against Brandon

    [00:20:59] Sometimes both of us

    [00:21:00] And Tia would

[00:21:01] We've been playing for a long time

[00:21:02] I think we might have beaten him

[00:21:03] One time, you know, by himself

[00:21:05] And he's tough as hell

    [00:21:06] Oh, yeah

    [00:21:07] So quick

    [00:21:08] He puts you

[00:21:09] You know, puts it on

    [00:21:10] He makes you pressure

[00:21:11] He makes you learn how to block

    [00:21:12] These passes

[00:21:13] So many shots he shoots

    [00:21:14] Sure

    [00:21:15] Yeah, yeah

[00:21:16] I do block a little better now

    [00:21:17] So

    [00:21:18] Yeah

    [00:21:19] Oh, yeah, dude

[00:21:20] Again, I played you in Mississippi

    [00:21:21] A couple months ago

    [00:21:22] And you

    [00:21:23] And I think

    [00:21:24] His name was Terry

    [00:21:25] That big guy

    [00:21:26] You and Terry

[00:21:27] You guys peeled the game off us

[00:21:28] I think we only lost two games

    [00:21:30] The whole thing

[00:21:31] And you guys peeled the game off of

    [00:21:32] You played great

    [00:21:33] He played great

    [00:21:35] But, you know

    [00:21:36] Brandon's brand is like a machine

    [00:21:38] It's ridiculous

    [00:21:40] Watching him just

    [00:21:41] When he's rolling

    [00:21:42] It's tough

    [00:21:43] But

    [00:21:44] I mean

    [00:21:45] I completely agree

    [00:21:46] Having him there

[00:21:47] And being able to play

    [00:21:48] Because, you know

[00:21:49] When you practice with a guy like that

    [00:21:51] Going to a tournament

    [00:21:52] And playing, you know

[00:21:53] Playing beginners and rookies and amateurs is like

    [00:21:56] You know

    [00:21:57] Yeah

    [00:21:58] Like, I play

[00:21:59] One of the best players in the world all the time

    [00:22:01] This is just

    [00:22:02] Old hat

    [00:22:03] Like practice

[00:22:04] That's the best way I know to get better

[00:22:05] About playing somebody better than you

    [00:22:07] Absolutely

    [00:22:08] Always

    [00:22:09] It's always better

    [00:22:10] At all times

    [00:22:11] I feel like

[00:22:12] You're only as good as your weakest player

    [00:22:14] Right?

    [00:22:15] Like your group

    [00:22:16] So it's like

[00:22:17] If everybody's trying to build everybody up

[00:22:19] Then the group's just going to grow quick

    [00:22:21] Excuse me

    [00:22:22] Yeah, yeah, yeah

    [00:22:23] So

    [00:22:24] Yeah, no question

[00:22:25] I got some younger players

    [00:22:26] Two girls that

    [00:22:27] They started like

    [00:22:28] Six, eight months ago

    [00:22:29] And they've come a long ways

[00:22:31] I mean you would not imagine

    [00:22:32] You'll see this

    [00:22:33] National, you'll see it

    [00:22:34] National

[00:22:35] There's some good players out there

    [00:22:36] Okay

    [00:22:37] Who are they?

    [00:22:38] Who are the girls?

    [00:22:40] Two of the girls

    [00:22:41] That play now

    [00:22:42] That play

    [00:22:43] Regular with us

[00:22:44] And they've only been playing

    [00:22:45] By eight months

    [00:22:46] Now maybe a year

[00:22:47] And they've caught the game really well

    [00:22:49] They're doing really well

    [00:22:50] What are their names?

    [00:22:52] Actually

    [00:22:53] They're dating

    [00:22:56] Actually

    [00:22:57] Michelle Ochoa

    [00:22:58] And Valerie

    [00:22:59] Yes

    [00:23:00] Hansetti

    [00:23:01] Correct

    [00:23:02] Yeah, sweet girls

    [00:23:03] I got a chance to interact

    [00:23:04] With them in Mississippi

    [00:23:05] They love foosball, man

    [00:23:06] They love foosball

    [00:23:07] Yeah, they're sweet girls

    [00:23:08] They've been playing a lot

    [00:23:09] They're teenagers

    [00:23:10] They're getting into it

    [00:23:11] They're getting into it

    [00:23:12] They're getting into it

    [00:23:13] They're doing really well

    [00:23:14] What are their names?

    [00:23:15] Actually

    [00:23:16] They're dating

    [00:23:17] Actually

    [00:23:18] Oh, Michelle

    [00:23:19] Michelle Ochoa

    [00:23:20] It's a lot of you

    [00:23:22] From the beginning

    [00:23:23] You know

    [00:23:24] They were taught

    [00:23:25] By them

    [00:23:26] On the right way

    [00:23:27] So that's good

    [00:23:28] They're playing really good

[00:23:29] We moved up to church

[00:23:30] We moved up to church quite a bit

    [00:23:31] This year

    [00:23:32] Nice

    [00:23:33] So, Randall

    [00:23:34] I'm sorry

    [00:23:35] No, I'm just curious

    [00:23:36] How many tournaments

[00:23:37] Just in this last year

    [00:23:38] Have you gone to

[00:23:39] When it comes to your

    [00:23:40] Own

    [00:23:41] I think we've been touring

    [00:23:42] I've been touring

[00:23:43] Maybe about ten to twelve

    [00:23:44] Terms a year

    [00:23:45] Ten to twelve

    [00:23:46] Wow

    [00:23:47] Maybe, yeah

    [00:23:48] So right around that

    [00:23:49] We've been doing it

    [00:23:50] For the last

[00:23:51] Whatever, four or five years

    [00:23:52] I know this

    [00:23:53] Yeah

    [00:23:54] I'm enjoying it

    [00:23:55] You only live once

    [00:23:56] And enjoy every day

[00:23:57] That you're on this earth

    [00:23:58] That's what I did

    [00:23:59] No question

    [00:24:00] A long time ago

[00:24:01] You gotta enjoy every day

    [00:24:02] In my

    [00:24:03] I'm enjoying it

    [00:24:04] I really am

    [00:24:05] Yeah

    [00:24:06] What does it do

[00:24:07] For a living, by the way?

    [00:24:08] It's my own business

    [00:24:09] I do flooring

    [00:24:10] And decorative concrete

    [00:24:11] Things, apoxies,

    [00:24:12] Mobile Lays

    [00:24:13] Like that

    [00:24:14] I have pictures

    [00:24:15] Periodically

    [00:24:16] Online sometimes

    [00:24:17] But yeah

    [00:24:18] I play hard, too

    [00:24:19] There you go

[00:24:20] You can kind of make your own schedule

[00:24:22] So you can get out to these tournaments

    [00:24:23] That's really terrific

    [00:24:24] That's right

[00:24:25] I can make all the tournaments we want

    [00:24:26] And we're getting ready

    [00:24:27] For Spain next year

    [00:24:29] Oh, you are

    [00:24:30] Oh, nice

    [00:24:31] Yeah

[00:24:32] I wanna talk about that

    [00:24:33] World Cup

[00:24:34] That's not far away, really

[00:24:37] Less than a year now

    [00:24:38] Was all

    [00:24:39] Yeah, it's like

    [00:24:40] About a year

    [00:24:41] Because it's in July

    [00:24:42] So, yeah

    [00:24:43] We're talking just a year away

[00:24:44] So what are you doing to

[00:24:46] To you and of course

    [00:24:48] You and Isabelle

[00:24:50] What are you doing around the house

[00:24:52] To get ready for World Cup?

    [00:24:53] Anything specific?

[00:24:55] She has a Leigh and Hart table here now

[00:24:57] We're gonna get some other tables

[00:24:59] But Cherry has some tables

    [00:25:00] They go practice there

    [00:25:01] Whenever they

    [00:25:02] Right before the tournaments

    [00:25:03] They start going play

[00:25:04] On practice on the tables

[00:25:05] To get used to them

    [00:25:07] I'm just watching

[00:25:09] I don't play in all the tables

    [00:25:11] Like that

    [00:25:12] Because I've had a hard time

    [00:25:13] Learning on one table

    [00:25:14] Yeah, yeah, yeah

[00:25:15] You know, they say if you

[00:25:17] Get better on Leigh and Hart

[00:25:19] It helps your tornado game

    [00:25:21] I've heard that a few times

[00:25:23] I like making it on Leigh and Hart

[00:25:24] I like making it on a lot

    [00:25:25] It's pretty cool

    [00:25:26] Yeah

[00:25:27] Reminds me of what you're making

    [00:25:28] Yeah

    [00:25:29] I love that table

[00:25:30] You by the way are notorious

    [00:25:31] For your banking

    [00:25:32] Because I know when

[00:25:34] We met you on the table

[00:25:36] It was at the ITSF World Series

    [00:25:38] And my partner said

    [00:25:40] Look out for Randall

[00:25:41] Because he banks that ball

    [00:25:42] Look out

[00:25:43] So I was trying to think about

[00:25:45] Where do I sign up?

[00:25:49] And I think you took a few of them

[00:25:51] I played on Dynamo for so long

[00:25:53] I love banking on Dynamo

[00:25:54] So I learned how to play it

    [00:25:55] Do it on Tornado

    [00:25:56] And I love it

    [00:25:57] Yeah

    [00:25:58] I mean I'm not a player

[00:25:59] So I've got to make up for it

    [00:26:01] You know

    [00:26:02] Understood

[00:26:04] Now it was great fun

[00:26:06] To play with you guys

    [00:26:07] So, yeah, Spain

    [00:26:09] That's a whole family

[00:26:11] Is it going to be like vacation?

    [00:26:13] What's going to happen?

[00:26:14] Yeah, I'm starting to save money

    [00:26:15] For it right now

    [00:26:16] Cool

[00:26:17] It's going to be a good trip

    [00:26:18] My wife loves it

    [00:26:19] She goes that

    [00:26:20] We wouldn't know

[00:26:21] She never went to Paris

[00:26:22] She never went for a foosball

[00:26:23] So she went a couple of years ago

    [00:26:25] With Isabel

[00:26:26] So you got to see France

    [00:26:28] Because it's her heritage

    [00:26:29] You know

    [00:26:30] Spain too

[00:26:31] We're going to enjoy that

[00:26:32] Get to see that too

[00:26:33] All because of the foosball

    [00:26:34] Oh man

    [00:26:35] Nice

    [00:26:36] That is so cool

    [00:26:37] So is mom

[00:26:39] Is mom as supportive as dad?

    [00:26:41] She loves it

    [00:26:42] She loves it

[00:26:43] She comes out every once in a while

    [00:26:44] To the Terminers

[00:26:45] She comes to the local Terminers

[00:26:46] And some of the ones out of state

[00:26:47] And she comes with us

    [00:26:48] But she's got

[00:26:49] Definitely going to Spain with us

[00:26:50] And she enjoyed France a lot

    [00:26:52] Mm-hmm

    [00:26:53] Mm-hmm

    [00:26:54] Wow

    [00:26:55] She didn't play

    [00:26:56] She didn't play

[00:26:57] She played in college with me

    [00:26:58] When we was dating

[00:26:59] You know, it was high college

    [00:27:00] But she didn't play

[00:27:01] You've known each other since college?

[00:27:05] My wife and I knew each other

    [00:27:06] In high school

[00:27:07] We were high school sweethearts

    [00:27:08] Wow

    [00:27:09] Wow

[00:27:10] I was 14 years old when I met her

    [00:27:11] No kidding

    [00:27:12] Wow

    [00:27:13] That's amazing

    [00:27:14] That's awesome

    [00:27:15] Yeah

[00:27:16] Not many people can say that

    [00:27:17] After all this time

    [00:27:18] You know

    [00:27:19] But that's

    [00:27:20] I got a good one

    [00:27:21] I got a great wife

    [00:27:22] Yeah, something you

[00:27:23] You definitely hit the lottery

    [00:27:24] For sure

    [00:27:25] But man

    [00:27:26] Very cool

    [00:27:27] Well, you know

    [00:27:28] When it comes to

    [00:27:29] The family in general

    [00:27:30] And foosball

[00:27:31] What happens before a big tournament?

    [00:27:34] Do you guys

    [00:27:35] Have to discipline Isabel

[00:27:38] To buckle down and start practicing

[00:27:40] Or is she just doing on her own?

[00:27:42] She has the want to do it

    [00:27:44] I can hear them

[00:27:45] All the time to the day and night

[00:27:47] Just playing foosball in the back room

    [00:27:49] You know

    [00:27:50] There you go

    [00:27:51] We have three tables

[00:27:52] Two tables in the house

[00:27:53] And we have one in

    [00:27:54] My man cave

[00:27:55] Where we had tournaments before

[00:27:57] They play here a lot

    [00:27:58] And I walk through

[00:27:59] And they're playing all the time

    [00:28:00] Wow

[00:28:01] They just love to play

[00:28:02] I mean, I play almost every day

[00:28:03] I wake up in the morning

[00:28:04] Before I go to work

[00:28:05] My workers want to play

[00:28:06] We play before we go to work

    [00:28:07] We play at lunch

    [00:28:08] We play after work

[00:28:09] So I'll play three, four times a day

    [00:28:11] Man

    [00:28:12] This is something

    [00:28:14] This is the formula

[00:28:15] By the way, have you thought about this?

    [00:28:17] Here's a concept

[00:28:18] How about a foosball vacation package

[00:28:22] Where you pay one price

    [00:28:24] You get the flight

[00:28:25] You get to come to your house

[00:28:27] And stay there for four or five days

    [00:28:29] And just play foosball

[00:28:31] You ever thought about that?

    [00:28:33] Very cool

    [00:28:34] Very real

    [00:28:35] I'd buy a ticket in a heartbeat

[00:28:37] Man, that would be just for the experience

    [00:28:40] Is Cajun food included?

    [00:28:43] Really good

    [00:28:45] He cooks really good

    [00:28:46] Yeah, let's go

[00:28:47] The bottle to buy you

[00:28:49] We have Jacob Bacos coming to stay here

[00:28:51] He came last year and stayed with us

[00:28:53] And he's going to come back to you this year

    [00:28:55] Nice

[00:28:56] By the way, Eric says

    [00:28:57] Happy Father's Day

[00:28:58] He's watching on Twitch TV tonight

    [00:29:01] Along with

    [00:29:02] After Father's Day Eric

    [00:29:03] Yeah

[00:29:04] And he again, you know another great

    [00:29:07] Foo's ball dad

    [00:29:08] Foo's ball father

    [00:29:09] Right?

    [00:29:10] Hello, hello my dad

    [00:29:12] Hello, my guy

[00:29:13] Oh yeah, no question about it

    [00:29:14] Real really cool

    [00:29:16] I gotta say

[00:29:17] And his progeny of course

    [00:29:19] Jacob and Maya

    [00:29:21] Are both fierce

[00:29:22] I mean just fierce players

[00:29:25] Yep, I played against Jacob

[00:29:26] I got to play against Maya

    [00:29:28] This last her

    [00:29:29] Did you?

    [00:29:30] She is too

    [00:29:31] Yeah

    [00:29:32] Yeah, it's again

    [00:29:34] I'm sure they're playing pretty

    [00:29:36] Pretty steadily

[00:29:37] You know at home on a regular basis

[00:29:39] And of course that practice

[00:29:41] Well, you know you get that much time

[00:29:43] Randy, Jacob called me to play

[00:29:45] Was we playing pro-am at battle to buy you

[00:29:47] So I was looking forward to playing against you

    [00:29:49] Uh huh

    [00:29:50] Uh huh

    [00:29:53] Now the battle

    [00:29:54] Look, I don't know

[00:29:55] I don't know if I'm going to make it

    [00:29:57] I'm going to try

    [00:29:58] But

    [00:29:59] I mean if I do go

    [00:30:01] That's a challenge

    [00:30:02] I'm telling you it's a challenge

[00:30:03] Yeah, who can I play the pro-am with

    [00:30:06] Who play with

[00:30:07] They got a lot of people laughing at you

    [00:30:09] Yeah, we'll figure

[00:30:10] Maybe I'll play with one of the girls

[00:30:12] I'm not going to do any popular

[00:30:13] I'll say that specific tournament too

    [00:30:15] Oh, nice

    [00:30:16] Okay

    [00:30:17] Nice

    [00:30:18] Yeah

    [00:30:19] If you're playing the pro-am

[00:30:21] Now is it, I guess a pro has to play

[00:30:23] With an amateur or less

    [00:30:24] And then

    [00:30:25] A pro-master has to play with a beginner

    [00:30:27] Okay

[00:30:28] And then a pro can play with a rookie

    [00:30:31] And an amateur

    [00:30:32] Expert

    [00:30:33] Expert and an amateur

    [00:30:34] Expert together, yeah

    [00:30:35] Okay, expert and expert

    [00:30:37] Okay

[00:30:38] Yeah, maybe I'll take one of those girls

[00:30:40] And just smack you and Jacob around a little bit

    [00:30:44] It happened

[00:30:45] But I'm ready for it

    [00:30:46] I know you are

    [00:30:48] I know

[00:30:49] Now listen, last time I played Michelle

[00:30:51] She blocked me good, man

    [00:30:53] She's getting good

    [00:30:54] And she's not scared

[00:30:56] You know, she just, whatever

    [00:30:58] Right

    [00:30:59] Yeah

    [00:31:00] No dude

[00:31:01] Every time I come down there

[00:31:03] I'm so pumped for Nationals

    [00:31:05] I can't think and wait, man

[00:31:07] Louisiana State last year was really good

[00:31:09] I know it's in the same hotel

[00:31:11] The restaurant next door was good

    [00:31:13] I mean, Louisiana, Mississippi

[00:31:16] Like I said, the foosball down here is always great

    [00:31:18] I enjoy it

[00:31:19] So I'm pumped about Nationals

[00:31:21] Who are you playing with in Nationals?

[00:31:24] With Rocky, Rick Ast from Cobra's Christie

[00:31:26] And Senior Doubles and Amateur Doubles

    [00:31:28] And I'm playing with

[00:31:30] With Jack, Cobra and Expert Doubles

[00:31:33] And I'm supposed to be playing with

    [00:31:36] With

[00:31:39] Not coming to me right now

[00:31:43] But I have a partner for Pro too

    [00:31:45] Nice

[00:31:46] Chris Steels from New Orleans, yeah

[00:31:48] Oh, Chris Steels, yeah, yeah, I like Chris

[00:31:50] Nice guy, I like Chris

    [00:31:51] Yeah

    [00:31:52] Yeah, so

[00:31:53] No, I have a partner for Henicap

[00:31:55] I don't remember who it is, but they're going to remind me

    [00:31:57] I'm sure

    [00:31:58] So

[00:32:00] I'm writing all that stuff down, it's too much

[00:32:02] Do you ever guilt trip

[00:32:05] Or pressure the kids into playing with you?

[00:32:09] No, Mina's about to have a good little run

[00:32:11] Playing together, we had enjoyed it

[00:32:13] I rather her, she plays a better game

[00:32:15] Without me playing with her

    [00:32:17] Really?

[00:32:18] Yeah, but I'd probably guilt play

[00:32:20] She's always worried about dad

    [00:32:22] That's good

    [00:32:23] No, that's good, that's good

[00:32:25] At least she worries about dad

[00:32:27] I'd probably guilt her into it

    [00:32:30] But that's just me

    [00:32:32] When you're in a match, when you're in a match

[00:32:34] It's kind of hard to

[00:32:35] She's got to concentrate on her game

    [00:32:37] Of course

    [00:32:38] Of course

    [00:32:39] Of course

    [00:32:40] No, of course

    [00:32:43] Sorry

    [00:32:44] So

[00:32:45] So, Nashals, what else are you guys hitting this year?

[00:32:47] What's the schedule looking like for the rest of the year?

    [00:32:49] World

    [00:32:50] World

[00:32:51] We're going to be in Kentucky

    [00:32:52] Oh, cool

[00:32:53] We're going to hit Colorado too

    [00:32:55] Colorado

    [00:32:56] Colorado State

[00:32:57] And we got a couple other

    [00:32:58] Hit Florida, I'm sure

    [00:33:00] Mississippi's in July

    [00:33:02] Mississippi, yeah, Mississippi

[00:33:04] What else are we going for?

[00:33:05] Florida is right after Worlds

[00:33:07] Like three weeks, two or three weeks after Worlds

    [00:33:09] In September

[00:33:11] They look forward to everything

    [00:33:13] Yeah, of course

[00:33:14] They're going to play foosball

    [00:33:16] Brandon's already told me

[00:33:17] He's like, I get in the car

    [00:33:18] He said, Randall drives

[00:33:19] I just wake up and we get there

    [00:33:21] And then we play

[00:33:22] And then I get in the car

    [00:33:23] Randall drives home

    [00:33:24] And yeah

[00:33:26] He drove the whole way last time

    [00:33:28] Okay, that's cool

[00:33:29] I got to sleep all the backseat

[00:33:30] I had a big old mattress bag

    [00:33:31] Yeah, I slept good

    [00:33:32] Nice

    [00:33:33] What was it?

[00:33:34] Was it like five hours, six hours?

[00:33:36] How long have we riden?

[00:33:37] We've been eight hours to Dallas, yeah

    [00:33:39] Really?

[00:33:40] We've been to Oklahoma a couple of times

    [00:33:42] It's like nine hours

    [00:33:43] Yeah

[00:33:44] Eight hours is kind of my cutoff

[00:33:46] I might go eight and a half

[00:33:47] But eight is kind of my cutoff

    [00:33:48] Yeah, that's a long day

    [00:33:49] That's tough

    [00:33:50] That's a long day

[00:33:51] I'm almost the car to get

    [00:33:52] I'd rather fly

    [00:33:53] I'd rather fly

    [00:33:55] Yeah, but that's a nice thing

    [00:33:57] About the South, man

[00:33:58] Like you can drive five, six, seven, eight hours

[00:34:01] And be at a tournament

    [00:34:02] Yeah

    [00:34:03] It's pretty convenient

[00:34:04] That makes a huge difference

[00:34:05] So Randall, I got to ask you the question

    [00:34:08] I'm just relating to

[00:34:11] Dallas, Texas and the ITSF World Series

[00:34:14] I mean it took me better part of a week

[00:34:16] to recover from all of that

[00:34:18] And it wasn't like I was playing a lot

    [00:34:20] I mean I was playing a decent amount

[00:34:22] But how do you recover?

[00:34:23] What do you do once you get done with the tournament

[00:34:25] Then you got to turn around and do another one

    [00:34:27] How do you recover?

    [00:34:28] Well, good while back

[00:34:31] A couple of years back

[00:34:32] When I stopped playing for like two or three days

    [00:34:35] My wrist pulled up

    [00:34:36] So I don't stop playing

    [00:34:38] I just keep playing

    [00:34:39] I play every day

    [00:34:40] Every single day

[00:34:42] It seems like if I stop

[00:34:44] Everything's going to tighten up on me

[00:34:46] So I just keep playing

[00:34:48] I'll get up there and shoot repetition

    [00:34:50] In my man cave

    [00:34:51] 100 shots whenever you're there

[00:34:52] To play morning, lunch, and after work

    [00:34:56] So you recommend

    [00:34:57] Stay loose with it

[00:34:58] You recommend the hair of the dog basically

    [00:35:01] I just don't stop

    [00:35:02] If I stop

[00:35:03] I'm worried I wouldn't be able to do it again

    [00:35:05] Wow

    [00:35:06] That's intense

    [00:35:08] Yeah, I mean

    [00:35:09] I play 10, 12 tournaments a year

[00:35:11] And then four locals a week

    [00:35:13] So, dude

[00:35:15] My arm would probably fall off

    [00:35:17] I'm more tired

    [00:35:18] Middle than physically really

[00:35:20] You've got to be careful with it

    [00:35:21] Really?

    [00:35:22] Oh yeah

[00:35:23] Well, I mean you do pretty tough work

    [00:35:25] So, I mean

[00:35:27] When I'm playing on here

[00:35:28] It's hard for me to play 100% every tournament

    [00:35:30] I play locally because

[00:35:31] I'm sweating all day working

    [00:35:33] You get sore

[00:35:35] I'm not getting any younger

[00:35:37] I'm getting sick this year

[00:35:39] I'm going to be up there

    [00:35:40] So anyway, yeah

    [00:35:41] I'm enjoying it

[00:35:42] And my body's still handling it

[00:35:44] So I'm going to keep going

    [00:35:45] Man, that's the determination

[00:35:47] I got to take my hat off to you

[00:35:48] Because it is tough, man

    [00:35:50] I mean, of course

[00:35:52] Part of the problem with Dallas

    [00:35:53] Was just the weather

[00:35:54] There was just so much craziness

    [00:35:56] Going on there

[00:35:57] And the delays for flights and things

[00:35:58] That really takes a lot out of you

[00:36:00] But just the playing alone

[00:36:01] The weather was pretty bad

    [00:36:02] Yeah, that was brutal

[00:36:04] Just, you know, 65 miles

[00:36:06] Set up, it was pretty good

    [00:36:07] Let's set up

[00:36:08] Yeah, it was a great tournament though

[00:36:10] I've got to ask you

[00:36:11] What do you think about the ITSF system

    [00:36:13] In the Swiss?

[00:36:14] Did you enjoy that format?

[00:36:18] Like it, you had four or five rounds

[00:36:20] Of that, six rounds, whatever it may be

[00:36:22] And you come back to a single-limit instrument

[00:36:24] I enjoyed the hell out of it

    [00:36:26] I really did

    [00:36:27] Especially in amateur doubles

[00:36:28] My partner played the front

    [00:36:30] In the initial matches

[00:36:32] And then I played the front

    [00:36:34] In the tournament itself

[00:36:36] And we kind of turned some minds

    [00:36:38] We were like 15th

[00:36:39] And we beat them a one, number two

[00:36:41] And we lost to them a four

[00:36:42] Yeah, so I got four or five

[00:36:44] You guys got deep for sure

    [00:36:46] You definitely got deep

    [00:36:47] That's awesome

    [00:36:48] We hit about third

[00:36:50] So it was still competitive

    [00:36:52] We were competitive

[00:36:53] Yeah, no, there's some tough amateurs there that day

    [00:36:55] Yeah

    [00:36:56] I think it's...

[00:36:58] This format, like so many others

[00:37:00] Is an experiment for us here in the States

[00:37:03] So what do you think about the championship format?

[00:37:06] I like better schedule things

[00:37:09] It was nice because we could schedule things

[00:37:12] Like you had a break from an hour and a half

    [00:37:14] Or two o'clock to 3.30

[00:37:15] You could go do things

[00:37:16] We'd want to do, eat, whatever

    [00:37:17] I like getting off at 10.30

[00:37:19] You know, better go sit at the bar

[00:37:21] With everybody at the bar

    [00:37:22] Not just some people

[00:37:23] Everybody can talk about it

[00:37:24] You talk to each other

    [00:37:25] And just do things

[00:37:26] Go out and eat and stuff like that

    [00:37:27] It's really nice

[00:37:28] We had time for that

    [00:37:30] That's a big thing

    [00:37:32] You're having...

[00:37:33] Making friends and talking to your friends

[00:37:34] And we had a good time with them

[00:37:35] Outside the Fuseball table too

    [00:37:37] No doubt about it

[00:37:39] Meeting new people is really what the scene is all about

[00:37:43] When it comes to Fuseball

[00:37:44] Because I think I've used the phrase before

[00:37:47] I'm ripping this off from Billy Joel, by the way

[00:37:50] There's no such thing as strangers in Fuseball

[00:37:52] Just friends you haven't met yet

[00:37:56] And communities you haven't met yet

[00:37:58] You get to meet people

[00:37:59] In Fuseball room, you talk about Fuseball most of the time

[00:38:02] And you talk about other things

[00:38:04] But you get to meet people

    [00:38:05] And have different things

[00:38:06] You learn about them when you go out

    [00:38:08] Do something else

[00:38:09] Go out and eat with them or whatever else

[00:38:10] And there's opportunities out there

    [00:38:12] That you wouldn't imagine

    [00:38:14] Yeah, oh no question

    [00:38:16] Different types of...

[00:38:18] There's all kinds of different ways

[00:38:19] You can make money in this world

[00:38:20] And there's jobs and there's all kinds of different...

[00:38:22] You meet people and you learn a lot more

[00:38:24] You can learn a lot more

    [00:38:26] It's the social aspect

    [00:38:27] Yeah, for sure

[00:38:28] That makes all the difference

[00:38:30] And everybody knows everybody after a while

    [00:38:32] Eventually anyway

[00:38:34] Yeah, some of my best friends in the world

    [00:38:36] Are Fuseball players

[00:38:38] People I met at Fuseball

[00:38:39] And we just connected and grew

[00:38:41] And again, I ended up...

[00:38:44] Their best man at their wedding

[00:38:45] Or their kids call me Uncle Randy

[00:38:47] Or it's just crazy how Fuseball brings people together

    [00:38:51] I've said it before

[00:38:52] You could walk into a Fuseball room

[00:38:53] And see five people standing there talking

    [00:38:56] And one's a doctor

    [00:38:57] And one's a plumber

    [00:38:59] One's a truck driver

    [00:39:01] One's a convicted felon

[00:39:03] And the other one is unemployed

[00:39:06] But they're all talking about Fuseball

[00:39:08] They have that one thing in common

    [00:39:09] So, you know, it's...

    [00:39:11] Fuseball

[00:39:12] Yeah man, it's crazy how it brings everybody together

    [00:39:14] I love it

    [00:39:15] Love it

[00:39:16] We live the Fuse life out here

    [00:39:18] Yeah

[00:39:19] Well no, you guys are definitely living the Fuse life bro

[00:39:22] There are some people doing it

[00:39:24] And you guys are doing it for sure

[00:39:26] This is extraordinary to think that

[00:39:28] A scene exists that four nights a week

    [00:39:32] I mean, I just can't get over that

[00:39:34] They're gonna watch you up on national

[00:39:36] Because we got some good rookies

[00:39:37] Gonna be doing some good damage

    [00:39:38] Some good amateurs

[00:39:39] We got some good experts

[00:39:40] We got some good players all around

    [00:39:41] Let's talk about it

    [00:39:42] Are you guys...

[00:39:43] Well, I wanna know if they're putting the state team together

[00:39:45] Are you putting a team together for the national?

[00:39:47] Yeah, we have a state team

    [00:39:48] Yes, we do

    [00:39:49] Of course you do

[00:39:50] We have one team in Lafayette

[00:39:52] I think we all are gonna have more than one

[00:39:53] But we have one team

[00:39:54] We could have had it to you

[00:39:55] But we're just gonna go with one team

    [00:39:57] Ah, boy

    [00:39:59] Everybody's fractioning this all

    [00:40:01] We're gonna be ready

[00:40:02] Yeah, now for those who are not aware

    [00:40:04] What constitutes a team?

[00:40:07] How many people do you have to put together

[00:40:08] To form a team for the nationals?

[00:40:10] I'll talk to Brandon about that

    [00:40:11] Because he's the captain

[00:40:12] He knows all about that

[00:40:13] I just wanted to alternate players

    [00:40:15] Okay

    [00:40:16] I think it's one pro

[00:40:18] I mean one master, one pro

[00:40:20] I think you get two experts

    [00:40:22] Two amateurs

[00:40:25] Two rookies and you need a woman

    [00:40:27] I think

    [00:40:28] Don't quote me

[00:40:29] You need a woman, yeah

    [00:40:30] Just like that

[00:40:31] You need one woman player

    [00:40:32] Okay

    [00:40:33] And then you get

[00:40:34] And then you get alternates

    [00:40:36] You get alternates

[00:40:37] And it's a singles and doubles format

    [00:40:39] Okay

[00:40:40] So there's an open mixed

[00:40:42] An open singles and an open doubles

    [00:40:44] And then a women's singles

[00:40:46] And then you play, I think

[00:40:48] An expert doubles and singles

[00:40:49] An amateur doubles and singles

[00:40:51] And a rookie doubles and singles

[00:40:52] And then they calculate wins and points

[00:40:54] And the winning team moves on

[00:40:56] If it's a tie, then you go into a shootout

    [00:40:59] Oh

[00:41:00] So I played at nationals a couple years ago

[00:41:04] Man, it was a lot of fun

    [00:41:05] It's a lot of fun

[00:41:06] The feeling, you know, a team effort

    [00:41:09] You know, it's awesome

[00:41:10] You know, it's a different way of playing for sure

    [00:41:12] Yeah

[00:41:13] I played last year too

    [00:41:15] It was fun

    [00:41:16] Had a great time

    [00:41:17] Yeah

    [00:41:18] Competing for your state

[00:41:19] And then I think the money goes to

    [00:41:23] Fussball Clubs USA

    [00:41:25] Which is nice

[00:41:27] But I mean, the event itself is awesome

[00:41:30] Because like I said, you're competing for your state

[00:41:32] And you know, it's basically you're competing for pride

[00:41:36] And people get hyped up

    [00:41:37] Man, it's a good time

    [00:41:39] I enjoyed it

[00:41:40] I'm looking forward to doing it again this year

    [00:41:42] But Mississippi's won

    [00:41:45] I mean, Louisiana

[00:41:46] I don't know if you guys have ever put a team in

[00:41:48] But I'm not looking forward to playing you guys

[00:41:50] If you've got a team this year

[00:41:51] That's going to be a tough team

[00:41:52] That's going to be a tough team

[00:41:53] Got a team from Louisiana

[00:41:55] And I think it can be tough, I promise you

    [00:41:57] Yeah

    [00:41:58] Oh yeah

[00:41:59] National is that home down here in Louisiana

[00:42:01] We're going to take that title home

    [00:42:02] Mm-hmm

    [00:42:03] I'm not going to...

    [00:42:04] I wouldn't...

    [00:42:05] Oh, look

[00:42:06] Again, I'm playing for Alabama

[00:42:08] But I'm not going to bet against you, okay?

    [00:42:10] I promise, I won't

[00:42:11] So there's a rumor going around here

    [00:42:13] In upstate New York

[00:42:14] Because Tommy is now living here

[00:42:16] That he would actually play for Team New York State

    [00:42:19] Although we don't have...

    [00:42:20] Yeah, why wouldn't he?

    [00:42:21] I don't think we have a team though

[00:42:22] That's part of the issue

[00:42:24] We're not sure if we have a team

    [00:42:26] But still

    [00:42:27] Yeah

[00:42:28] You know, Kudo is the guy

    [00:42:29] They get it together

[00:42:30] Yeah, they get it together

    [00:42:31] Let's go

    [00:42:32] Yeah

[00:42:33] Tommy, you still have time

[00:42:34] You can do that in a week

[00:42:35] I promise you, you can do it in a week

    [00:42:36] Okay, okay

    [00:42:37] Yeah, no

[00:42:38] I'm trying to think of the different

    [00:42:40] I know there's plenty of people

[00:42:41] That we could certainly recruit

    [00:42:43] For rookies and amateurs

    [00:42:45] Experts easily

    [00:42:47] Pro-master for sure

[00:42:49] In fact, Kevin Walker is now back on the scene

    [00:42:52] Kevin's playing again

    [00:42:53] He is, yep

    [00:42:54] Regular basis

    [00:42:55] Ah, that bum

    [00:42:57] Look out

    [00:42:58] I knew Tommy had a D.Y.P.

    [00:43:00] He's a beast, man

    [00:43:01] Yeah, right?

    [00:43:02] Oh, yeah

    [00:43:03] Oh, man

    [00:43:04] It's...

[00:43:05] And what he and that kid

    [00:43:07] Stefan from Austria

[00:43:10] When they went head to head

    [00:43:11] In that singles final

    [00:43:13] Great man

    [00:43:14] Wow

    [00:43:15] Wow

    [00:43:16] I mean it

[00:43:17] And it would take us

[00:43:18] Take us somebody like Tommy

    [00:43:19] Who's really kind of

[00:43:21] The amped up version of Todd's

    [00:43:23] Or, sorry, Tony Sprademan

    [00:43:25] He really did dominate

    [00:43:28] In that final match

[00:43:30] That has a lot of energy, boy

[00:43:31] You guys are a lot of energy

    [00:43:32] Justin Kropp

[00:43:33] Well, I think Tony probably

[00:43:35] Gave him some good information

[00:43:37] To after Tony lost to the kid

[00:43:39] But look, I'm going to tell you

[00:43:40] That kid is 17 years old

[00:43:42] Not Tommy, the other kid, Stefan

[00:43:43] Dude, that kid is a beast

[00:43:46] I watched him beat Ryan

[00:43:47] I watched him beat Tony

[00:43:48] I watched the final against Tommy

    [00:43:50] The kid's a beast

[00:43:51] If he sticks with it

    [00:43:52] And again, it's foosball

[00:43:54] But if he sticks with it

[00:43:55] He's going to be one of the best players in the world

[00:43:58] I mean, he's one of the best players in the world right now

    [00:43:59] Yeah, yeah, yeah

    [00:44:00] He could be...

    [00:44:01] I'll watch the...

    [00:44:02] Go ahead

[00:44:03] I was just going to say

[00:44:04] He could be another, you know

    [00:44:06] Freddie Collin Yoland

    [00:44:08] Yeah, yeah, absolutely

[00:44:10] I watched the World Cup

[00:44:11] A couple of years ago back in Paris

[00:44:13] In France, I mean, not France

    [00:44:15] And people there

[00:44:17] They were busing kids in there

[00:44:18] Keeping them interested in foosball

[00:44:20] If the United States doesn't catch up

[00:44:21] Catch up to them pretty soon

[00:44:22] We're going to be behind

    [00:44:23] Because they're exposing

[00:44:25] Kids, thousands and thousands of kids

[00:44:28] Out there every time they have a tournament

    [00:44:29] That's it

[00:44:30] It was unbelievable feeling out there

[00:44:32] I mean, it was great

[00:44:33] Yeah, that is a key right there

    [00:44:34] You've got to grow a crop

[00:44:36] You know, you've got to plant the seeds

    [00:44:38] Grow the crop

[00:44:39] And just, you know, keep watering that crop

[00:44:41] If you're part of the expression

[00:44:43] What are we going to do?

[00:44:45] What are we going to do?

[00:44:46] We're going to put foosball videos on TikTok

[00:44:48] I mean, what are we going to do?

[00:44:50] Are we going to get these kids interested?

    [00:44:51] Something

[00:44:52] We've got a kids tournament out here

    [00:44:53] Down in Crawley now

[00:44:54] So this helps a little bit

[00:44:55] But it still needs more

    [00:44:56] That's awesome

[00:44:57] You need a lot more kids than that

[00:44:59] Because they're throwing kids in there

[00:45:01] Thousands of kids in there

[00:45:02] Busting them to the tournament

    [00:45:03] Watching them

[00:45:04] Just keeping them excited about it

    [00:45:05] You know, 11

    [00:45:06] Right, exactly

[00:45:08] And you guys, again, with that location

    [00:45:10] That arcade, you know, it's kid-friendly

[00:45:13] So, you know, some places where you go play foosball

    [00:45:16] Is not kid-friendly

[00:45:18] Follow me to the property that you don't have the body that

[00:45:20] They don't have the foosball tables around

[00:45:21] We're trying to get them around

[00:45:22] You know, that's where you got to do first

[00:45:23] You got to get the tables around

[00:45:24] For people to get on them

[00:45:25] Just make them accessible, you know

[00:45:28] I know that they've said many times

[00:45:31] I know I've spoken to some of the Germans

    [00:45:33] Like from foosball TV

[00:45:35] They have actually, you go to a soccer stadium

[00:45:38] And all around the outside of the soccer stadium

    [00:45:40] Are foosball tables

[00:45:42] So all those soccer fans

    [00:45:44] Are there playing foosball

[00:45:46] In between, you know, watching soccer

[00:45:49] Or what they call football

[00:45:51] But that's how you kind of get the whole

[00:45:54] Fam-dam-ly, if you're part of an expression, into it

    [00:45:57] Because it's a sporting thing

[00:45:59] Of course, soccer is ingrained

    [00:46:01] In the European psyche

[00:46:03] And you put foosball in the stadiums

    [00:46:06] Boom, done deal

    [00:46:08] Right, right

[00:46:10] I mean, I learned the real rules of soccer analysis

[00:46:13] Brandon says here, he watches soccer all the time

[00:46:15] I never really played soccer, you know

[00:46:17] When I was growing up

[00:46:18] But I learned the rules

[00:46:19] Because he's watching this all the time

[00:46:20] I have to at least, at least, know the rules, you know

    [00:46:22] Mm-hmm

    [00:46:24] It's a marriage

[00:46:27] I mean, I think about, you know

[00:46:29] There's so many programs out there

[00:46:31] And they're all, quote-unquote, the term is soccer moms

[00:46:34] Why aren't there more foosball moms?

    [00:46:37] We need them

    [00:46:40] Yeah, there are some

[00:46:42] But, you know, I mean

[00:46:44] You know, we had Seth Nelson on

[00:46:47] Not too long ago and he was kind of talking

    [00:46:49] About the same thing

[00:46:50] And, you know, with us having the MLS

    [00:46:52] Here in this country

[00:46:53] We got to figure out a way to get our tables

    [00:46:56] Or tables period

    [00:46:58] Into those MLS arenas

    [00:47:00] During soccer games

[00:47:01] Because, I mean, my neighbors next door

    [00:47:04] They got five kids

[00:47:07] And they all play soccer

[00:47:09] They're kicking balls in my yard all the time

[00:47:11] It drives me freaking nuts, dude

    [00:47:13] But they love it

    [00:47:15] So I bought a table

[00:47:17] I bought a table to kind of piece together

[00:47:19] And then I ended up selling it

[00:47:20] But I had it in my garage for like a month

[00:47:22] And the youngest boy saw me in there

[00:47:24] And he's like, what are you doing?

[00:47:25] I was like, table soccer

    [00:47:26] He's like, soccer?

    [00:47:27] I said, table soccer

[00:47:29] All he heard was soccer

[00:47:30] He was in there every day

[00:47:32] He's like, can we play foosball?

[00:47:33] I was like, yeah, dude

    [00:47:34] And he loved it

[00:47:36] But that's just the thing

    [00:47:37] It's just exposure

[00:47:38] Getting it in front of them, right?

[00:47:40] You got to have a place for them to go

    [00:47:42] Yeah

    [00:47:43] We were growing up

    [00:47:44] We had game rooms

[00:47:46] It's not the same no more

[00:47:47] Like, you know, we got to find

[00:47:48] Different places for them to play

    [00:47:49] In schools or whatever

[00:47:50] You know, breaks after school

    [00:47:52] Right

[00:47:53] Now, there's a lot of inner cities now

    [00:47:55] Are using these

    [00:47:56] It's government sponsored

    [00:47:58] After school youth programs

[00:48:00] And if you can just approach

[00:48:02] Those folks that are running those programs

[00:48:04] And say, hey listen, have you thought about

[00:48:06] This is something you could easily

[00:48:08] Fit into your youth center

[00:48:10] And if you need some coaching

[00:48:12] You need somebody to help out

    [00:48:14] With teaching the kids

    [00:48:16] Local foosball pros

[00:48:18] Or whatever could go in and trade

    [00:48:20] Maybe rotate in

[00:48:22] And spend a week or two

[00:48:24] Just teaching the kids how to play

    [00:48:26] And you know

[00:48:27] Trying to get one right here at Rec Center

    [00:48:29] With the kids club

[00:48:30] And hopefully everything works out where we can

[00:48:32] And I'm gonna make sure they have somebody

    [00:48:34] Out there helping coaching

    [00:48:36] And teaching kids

[00:48:37] And taking care of the tables

    [00:48:38] Stuff like that

[00:48:39] So I'm looking forward to it

[00:48:41] Yeah, it's not the budget

    [00:48:43] Yeah

    [00:48:44] That's the hard part

[00:48:46] It's not in the budget

[00:48:47] We don't have it in the budget

[00:48:48] To buy a foosball table

[00:48:49] It's not in the budget

    [00:48:50] We're gonna have it

[00:48:51] It's gonna be paid for somehow

    [00:48:53] There you go

    [00:48:54] And that's

[00:48:55] There just needs to be people like you

[00:48:56] Man that just love foosball

[00:48:57] And wants to see it grow

    [00:48:58] Yeah

    [00:48:59] You know

    [00:49:00] Gotta grow

    [00:49:01] You can't get behind

    [00:49:02] No doubt

    [00:49:03] So question

[00:49:05] Isabel comes to you tomorrow

[00:49:06] Says you know what dad

    [00:49:08] I don't love foosball anymore

    [00:49:09] I don't want to play

    [00:49:10] Are you heartbroken

[00:49:11] Or do you just support her

[00:49:13] And say okay that's fine

    [00:49:15] We raised our daughter

[00:49:16] And she's grown up now

[00:49:19] So she makes her own decision

[00:49:21] My dad would probably punch me in the face

    [00:49:24] You're a good man Randall

    [00:49:25] You really are dude

    [00:49:26] You're a good man

[00:49:28] But raising him the right way

[00:49:29] You're raising him the right way

    [00:49:30] That's it

    [00:49:31] That's it

    [00:49:32] After that

[00:49:33] And what is she interested in

[00:49:35] As far as her future career

[00:49:37] Does she want to go and become

[00:49:39] A professional in some area

    [00:49:41] Some career

[00:49:43] What is she interested in

    [00:49:45] She draws really well

[00:49:47] She does a lot of art

    [00:49:48] And recently

[00:49:50] She's been drawing on Brandon

[00:49:52] So she's drawing on Brandon

    [00:49:54] So it's a possibility

    [00:49:56] I mean that's you know

    [00:49:57] She's thinking about it

    [00:49:58] But it's we'll see

    [00:50:00] Yeah

    [00:50:01] Well I mean it's still art

[00:50:02] Whether it's a human character or not

[00:50:04] No I've seen some of them

[00:50:06] I mean I saw like the first one

[00:50:09] She put on them and I didn't believe

[00:50:11] That was the first tattoo she ever did

    [00:50:13] But for somebody who

    [00:50:15] She's like I bought a machine

    [00:50:16] And just started it

    [00:50:17] Like she's really good

[00:50:18] I got it right here

[00:50:19] You want to come on in

    [00:50:20] Y'all come on in

    [00:50:21] Bring him on in

    [00:50:22] There he is

    [00:50:23] What's up Brandon

    [00:50:24] What's up

    [00:50:25] There is Fusgear

    [00:50:26] Fusgear

    [00:50:27] What's up

    [00:50:28] I'm Isabelle

    [00:50:29] Hey congratulations Isabelle

    [00:50:30] Thank you

    [00:50:31] And I understand you're

    [00:50:32] Isabelle

    [00:50:33] You're now considered

    [00:50:34] Well someone who's

[00:50:36] I guess you could say

[00:50:37] You have a target on your back

    [00:50:39] So because you're

    [00:50:40] You're not a professional

    [00:50:41] You're not a professional

    [00:50:42] You're not a professional

    [00:50:43] You're not a professional

    [00:50:44] You're not a professional

[00:50:45] So because you won the open

[00:50:47] Everybody else wants to take you on now

[00:50:49] Do you find that to be the case

[00:50:51] She's had a target on her back

[00:50:53] There are locals and stuff

[00:50:55] It's like everybody wants to be you

    [00:50:57] Yeah

    [00:50:58] Yeah

    [00:51:00] Well

[00:51:01] So how many tattoos have you put on Brandon

[00:51:03] One, two, three, four, five, six, seven

    [00:51:09] Seven

    [00:51:11] Seven

[00:51:12] Are those the only seven

[00:51:13] Have you done any more or is that it

[00:51:15] Some of my brothers and some friends

    [00:51:18] Nice

[00:51:19] I like that Ronald McDonald

    [00:51:20] I like

    [00:51:21] What

[00:51:23] He's about to give me one too

    [00:51:24] Really

    [00:51:25] Nice

    [00:51:26] What are you getting

[00:51:27] I want to let her do one

[00:51:28] He wants a Fuseball tattoo

    [00:51:29] Of course

    [00:51:30] There you go

    [00:51:31] Fuseball tattoo

[00:51:32] I don't know what and where yet

    [00:51:34] But you're gonna

    [00:51:35] You got a great

[00:51:36] Like right here on your neck

    [00:51:37] Like right there

[00:51:38] Like put the ball in my nose

    [00:51:39] Make out

    [00:51:40] Oh man

    [00:51:41] Make a one

    [00:51:42] I don't want to see

    [00:51:43] She's ready for her

    [00:51:44] Start doing the tattoos

    [00:51:45] Like every tournament

[00:51:47] She's at least gonna have a little

[00:51:50] Care your lease for people

    [00:51:52] Yeah

    [00:51:53] Or every single tournament

    [00:51:55] She's backed up already

    [00:51:56] Yeah

    [00:51:57] Nah, for real

    [00:51:58] Like hey

    [00:51:59] Seriously

[00:52:00] I mean you could make

[00:52:01] You could make more money doing that

[00:52:02] Than you could winning the events

    [00:52:03] So bring your stuff

    [00:52:05] Bring your stuff

    [00:52:06] Start tattooing people

    [00:52:07] Yeah

    [00:52:08] Hell yeah

[00:52:09] I mean that Ronald McDonald one

[00:52:11] Like that's probably my favorite one

    [00:52:12] Right

    [00:52:13] That one

    [00:52:14] That one right there

[00:52:15] Yeah the Ronald McDonald one

    [00:52:16] Oh yeah

[00:52:17] Yeah cover up the McDonald

[00:52:18] Yeah cover up the McDonald sign

[00:52:19] We don't want to give them

    [00:52:20] Read the packaging

    [00:52:21] This guy

    [00:52:22] Boy likes McDonald

    [00:52:24] Boy you love McDonald

    [00:52:25] Love the Crocs

    [00:52:26] Dude

    [00:52:27] Those rock man

[00:52:29] And with those Crocs on

[00:52:31] You'll be seen at night

    [00:52:32] You know

    [00:52:33] Oh dude

    [00:52:34] Like this

    [00:52:35] I don't know

[00:52:36] Like since you moved to America

    [00:52:38] I don't know how you haven't gotten

[00:52:39] As fat as me dude

    [00:52:40] I don't get it

    [00:52:43] I don't know why

    [00:52:44] I don't know

    [00:52:45] Hey

    [00:52:46] Yeah maybe

    [00:52:47] I'm down there

    [00:52:49] I'm in McMunoz

[00:52:50] Yeah they should name a sandwich after

    [00:52:52] Right

    [00:52:53] Bro hey

    [00:52:54] I'm down 30 pounds

    [00:52:56] So almost

[00:52:57] No more gordito after a couple months

    [00:52:59] Okay

    [00:53:00] Really

    [00:53:01] Yeah yeah

    [00:53:02] Yeah

    [00:53:03] That's willpower

    [00:53:05] That is willpower

    [00:53:07] Yeah

    [00:53:08] Billy

[00:53:09] Billy sent me a text message

    [00:53:11] Like

    [00:53:12] It wasn't long ago

[00:53:13] But he was just like

    [00:53:14] Hey are you fat

[00:53:15] Like that's what he texted me

[00:53:16] And I was just like

    [00:53:17] How do I respond

    [00:53:18] I was like

    [00:53:19] Nah dude

    [00:53:20] I'm good

    [00:53:21] Thank you

    [00:53:24] Nah

[00:53:25] I'm trying not to be

    [00:53:26] So yeah

    [00:53:27] But it's getting bad

    [00:53:28] Because now even people

    [00:53:29] In the talk here

[00:53:31] In the chat are calling me

    [00:53:32] Gordito

    [00:53:33] So good time

    [00:53:35] So Isabel

[00:53:36] When's the next time you and

    [00:53:38] Sully play together

    [00:53:39] When's that happening

    [00:53:41] We're gonna play

    [00:53:42] Double together

    [00:53:44] Nice

    [00:53:45] Very cool

    [00:53:46] Nationals

    [00:53:47] Yeah Nationals

    [00:53:48] Classic and doubles

[00:53:49] And then we're gonna play some more

[00:53:50] We're gonna try playing more this year

    [00:53:51] And next year

    [00:53:52] Awesome

    [00:53:53] Nice

    [00:53:54] Yeah this is

    [00:53:55] Nice

    [00:53:56] This is exciting

    [00:53:57] Yeah

[00:53:58] Yeah you guys are tough

    [00:53:59] Yeah

    [00:54:00] It's

    [00:54:01] What

[00:54:02] Now when you and Sully get together to play

    [00:54:04] I'm curious

[00:54:05] Do you have a game plan

[00:54:07] Do you discuss your strategy

[00:54:09] Before you get on the table

    [00:54:10] Or is it something

[00:54:12] You've already kind of worked out

[00:54:14] It kind of depends who we play

[00:54:16] Who we're gonna like talk about

    [00:54:17] And stuff

[00:54:18] But we kind of have like

[00:54:19] Similar game styles I guess

    [00:54:21] I guess because where we're from

    [00:54:22] Everybody has similar styles

[00:54:26] Our games kind of just

[00:54:27] Work together the way we play

    [00:54:28] We're very switchable

[00:54:30] She catches a lot of passes

[00:54:33] We also shoot out the back too

[00:54:35] So we just have very similar styles

[00:54:36] So it works really well

    [00:54:39] Great chemistry for sure

    [00:54:41] Great chemistry man

[00:54:43] I haven't even played a lot of tournaments together

    [00:54:45] But we just play

[00:54:47] Really well when we do play

    [00:54:50] And play

    [00:54:51] Four days a week

    [00:54:52] Sorry guys

    [00:54:53] No no just

[00:54:54] They play eight days a week

[00:54:55] Eight days a week yeah

    [00:54:57] Yeah

    [00:54:58] Yeah

[00:54:59] I watched the final Illinois

[00:55:00] I mean it was match ball

[00:55:01] It was a good match

[00:55:02] I mean that was tough

[00:55:04] So outside of that final

    [00:55:05] What team you know

[00:55:07] What team scared you guys

    [00:55:08] I didn't watch any other matches

[00:55:10] Was it close anywhere else

[00:55:12] Like I know you guys beat Brandon

    [00:55:16] How bad was it

[00:55:20] Before we played an expert team

    [00:55:22] Then we played Joe

    [00:55:23] And Joe Rhodes

[00:55:24] Yeah I don't know who he was playing with

[00:55:26] I think we beat them

    [00:55:29] Maybe four games

    [00:55:31] Nice

[00:55:33] Paul and then we went

    [00:55:35] Three strikes

    [00:55:38] They came back

[00:55:39] And we beat them four

[00:55:41] And then we played Brandon

    [00:55:43] And they

    [00:55:46] Just Paul and Mike

    [00:55:50] Yeah Mike the Luracus

    [00:55:51] Yeah the Luracus yeah

[00:55:53] And I think we went

[00:55:54] Fifth game with them over time

    [00:55:57] Wow impressive

[00:55:59] Yeah we were down against Brandon

[00:56:01] We were down one match

    [00:56:02] Like five

[00:56:04] I mean four two and we came back

[00:56:05] And then after that we came back from that match

    [00:56:08] And then Mike and

    [00:56:15] We played the finals

[00:56:16] That was I think our hardest match

[00:56:18] Because we were really nervous

    [00:56:20] Imagine

[00:56:23] How do you deal with that

    [00:56:29] The finals like recently

    [00:56:31] Like big stuff

    [00:56:33] And I'm just

[00:56:34] I don't know how to control it

[00:56:35] Like in Dallas I was in like

    [00:56:38] I think every event I played

[00:56:39] I was in the finals

[00:56:40] And it was a rough weekend for me

[00:56:42] Because I came out second

    [00:56:43] Three times and then

[00:56:45] I came out second in women's singles

    [00:56:48] Women's doubles and classic

[00:56:51] And it was just like

[00:56:52] Getting to all these finals

    [00:56:53] And losing them like

[00:56:54] Being close was really hard

[00:56:56] And I mean Brandon won the mix

    [00:56:59] So I was like

    [00:57:00] Cutting that weird headspace

[00:57:02] In Illinois I was like

[00:57:04] I just make it to this final

[00:57:06] And not like finish it

    [00:57:07] So I was like

[00:57:08] Trying to get out of that

    [00:57:09] And like break that

[00:57:13] I don't want to be in that headspace anymore

    [00:57:15] I was just

[00:57:21] You got to kind of just focus on

[00:57:22] What's in front of you

    [00:57:23] You know it's tough

    [00:57:28] Experience is getting there

[00:57:30] Until you get more and more finals

[00:57:32] Which is helping a lot

    [00:57:33] Like finals controlling pressure

[00:57:35] I mean I've been in some of the past

    [00:57:37] But more help

    [00:57:40] No you've been in a lot

[00:57:41] I mean you were in the finals

[00:57:42] Of women's singles in Vegas right

    [00:57:44] That was my

[00:57:46] It was very learning experience for me

    [00:57:48] Yeah of course

    [00:57:49] Of course

[00:57:50] But you were there right

    [00:57:51] And then

[00:57:52] You know you and Brandon

[00:57:53] Won open mix at Worlds last year

    [00:57:55] Yeah

[00:57:56] And then you and Nevada

    [00:57:57] Have been playing

    [00:57:58] Every single time

    [00:57:59] Not every one

    [00:58:00] Not every one

    [00:58:01] Not every one

    [00:58:02] Not every one

    [00:58:03] We last

    [00:58:04] Texas

    [00:58:05] That was like

    [00:58:06] Two women

[00:58:07] I thought they had one every one

    [00:58:09] There's been quite a few

    [00:58:10] I don't want to miss

    [00:58:11] Quite a few

[00:58:12] Yeah and Illinois State of course

    [00:58:15] Wow

    [00:58:16] Yeah

    [00:58:17] But you're growing

    [00:58:18] I mean you're constantly growing

    [00:58:19] And improving so

    [00:58:20] Yeah

    [00:58:21] You know it's

    [00:58:22] Obviously

[00:58:23] And plus you get to play with

    [00:58:24] You know

    [00:58:26] That guy

    [00:58:27] So it helps

[00:58:28] It makes a huge difference

    [00:58:29] You know

[00:58:30] Having access to one of the best players in the world

    [00:58:32] Obviously is

[00:58:34] It's always going to help you

[00:58:35] Improve as a player so

    [00:58:38] But no I mean

[00:58:39] Obviously and one of the biggest things

    [00:58:40] I think is having a dad

[00:58:42] And a mom that is supportive

    [00:58:43] Mm-hmm

[00:58:45] You know I had endeavors

[00:58:46] I had dreams when I was younger

[00:58:48] And you know my dad

    [00:58:49] Wasn't very supportive

    [00:58:51] So

    [00:58:52] You know

[00:58:53] It's unfortunate what I could have been

[00:58:55] You know I could have been

[00:58:56] One of the best drug dealers in the world

[00:58:58] But my dad just wasn't supportive

    [00:58:59] So

    [00:59:01] Sorry

    [00:59:02] Dad issues

    [00:59:03] What can you say

    [00:59:04] Right

    [00:59:05] It's strange

    [00:59:06] Strange relationship

    [00:59:07] Whatever anyway

[00:59:08] Man, how do you fly?

    [00:59:10] Huh?

    [00:59:11] What?

    [00:59:12] How do you fly?

    [00:59:13] How do you fly?

    [00:59:14] That's insane

    [00:59:16] Yeah

    [00:59:19] Oh boy

    [00:59:20] Anyway

    [00:59:21] So nationals

    [00:59:22] Not this weekend

    [00:59:23] Next weekend

    [00:59:24] There you go

    [00:59:25] Mississippi Queensborough

    [00:59:26] Hey look

    [00:59:27] If you look up

[00:59:28] Right over there in the corner

    [00:59:30] Right, mine's right there

    [00:59:31] Behind the light

    [00:59:32] It's right there

[00:59:33] I got hung up on the wall

    [00:59:34] I see it

[00:59:35] As soon as I came home

[00:59:36] I put it up on the wall

    [00:59:37] Oh yeah

[00:59:38] I'm very proud of that

    [00:59:39] And ran

    [00:59:40] That's right

    [00:59:41] Brandon carried me

    [00:59:42] It was wonderful

[00:59:43] So where do you guys put all the trophies?

[00:59:44] I see the trophies behind you

    [00:59:45] But there must be

    [00:59:46] Like tons of trophies

    [00:59:48] You gotta like

    [00:59:49] Display

[00:59:50] I mean you gotta quite a few there

    [00:59:51] But man

    [00:59:52] Many caves

[00:59:53] Up the walls are solid

    [00:59:54] And trophies

    [00:59:55] Oh no kidding

    [00:59:56] I'm a little corner like this

[00:59:57] But this one has all the rest of the walls

    [01:00:02] Wow

    [01:00:03] That's extraordinary

    [01:00:05] Mississippi

    [01:00:06] Our first match

    [01:00:07] This guy

[01:00:08] I remember him and Terry

    [01:00:09] Yeah

    [01:00:11] Yeah, it was scary

    [01:00:12] I didn't like it

    [01:00:15] There we go

    [01:00:16] There we go

    [01:00:17] You play with Rockin

    [01:00:19] You play with

    [01:00:20] Terry

[01:00:21] Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

[01:00:24] He gave you all the run for your money

    [01:00:26] Oh yeah, he was

    [01:00:28] Randall

    [01:00:29] Randall wasn't scared

    [01:00:31] Not a river right

[01:00:32] We went one game and we had y'all

    [01:00:34] We had y'all like

    [01:00:35] We were just

    [01:00:36] Yeah, we came back

    [01:00:37] Yeah, we started switching

    [01:00:39] We came back

    [01:00:40] Yeah, dude

[01:00:41] It's always the first match

    [01:00:42] Tries me nuts

    [01:00:43] Oh it was terrible

    [01:00:44] Yeah

    [01:00:45] It was terrible

    [01:00:46] It was mad

    [01:00:47] Terry was the fourth

    [01:00:48] Bob Barney

    [01:00:49] Terry Terry

    [01:00:50] Terry Terry

    [01:00:51] Terry Terry

    [01:00:52] Terry Terry

    [01:00:53] Terry Terry

[01:00:54] I'm coming back for you guys

    [01:00:56] Coming back

    [01:00:57] I don't know

    [01:00:58] Because it's elimination

    [01:01:00] Yeah

[01:01:01] Yeah, it's championship format bro

    [01:01:02] You can't come back

    [01:01:03] Yeah

    [01:01:04] Dude that's a big dude

[01:01:07] That is a large man

    [01:01:09] Yeah

    [01:01:10] We played good together

[01:01:12] We played really good together

[01:01:13] Yeah, you guys played great

    [01:01:15] Yeah like I said

[01:01:16] You were one of the only teams

[01:01:17] That peeled the game off of us

    [01:01:19] So

    [01:01:21] Anyway

    [01:01:22] Yeah

[01:01:23] So everybody had a good father's day

    [01:01:25] Everybody had a good father's day

    [01:01:28] Oh, we all fooled

[01:01:29] It's got pretty deep and that's how long we go

    [01:01:31] Yeah

    [01:01:32] Thanks

    [01:01:34] He's a rib-boss

    [01:01:35] Oh, that's it

    [01:01:36] The best

[01:01:37] Wait, so I want to

[01:01:38] How do you eat your steak?

[01:01:39] How do you cook it?

    [01:01:41] Medium rare

    [01:01:42] Medium rare

[01:01:43] I like my medium well

    [01:01:46] Medium well

    [01:01:47] Got it

    [01:01:48] Got it

[01:01:49] No, it's got to be a little bit pink at least

    [01:01:53] Right

    [01:01:54] No, medium rare

[01:01:55] Mine was a little weak and very little

    [01:01:57] Yeah

    [01:01:58] Yeah, definitely

[01:02:00] I put in bread as plate

    [01:02:03] That's it

    [01:02:04] That's it

    [01:02:05] I'll be happy

    [01:02:06] Two minutes, two minutes

    [01:02:08] Eat it

    [01:02:09] Yeah, I had a rib-eye tonight

    [01:02:11] Medium rare

    [01:02:12] We went to Longhorn

    [01:02:13] It was good

[01:02:14] I had a rib-eye and eight pieces of shrimp

    [01:02:16] It was good

    [01:02:17] I had a bunch of butter

    [01:02:18] Nice

    [01:02:19] Yeah, it was good

    [01:02:20] Nice

[01:02:21] Have you guys come into Nationals?

    [01:02:22] I'll be there, dude

[01:02:23] Randy's going to make it up

[01:02:25] That's a booked work weekend for me

[01:02:27] Unfortunately, I'm going to be in classes all weekend

[01:02:30] But, you know, its timing is everything

[01:02:33] What I am actually thinking about now

    [01:02:35] Is Louisiana State

[01:02:37] And of course, I would say that

[01:02:41] That's right before my birthday

    [01:02:42] December 5th through 8th

[01:02:44] Is right before my birthday

[01:02:45] So I'm thinking that might be a good gift this year

    [01:02:49] Preach yourself, Tom

    [01:02:50] Yep

    [01:02:51] I think that's a good event

[01:02:53] I'd peel another game off of you

    [01:02:55] Yeah, there you go

[01:02:57] This is the first night

    [01:02:59] I love it

    [01:03:00] I love it

    [01:03:01] I love it

    [01:03:02] Oh, dude

    [01:03:03] Well, look

    [01:03:04] Where, where, what's today?

    [01:03:07] 16th

    [01:03:08] So, yeah, officially

    [01:03:12] 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

[01:03:15] Well, it starts middle of the week

    [01:03:16] So we're like 10 days away

[01:03:18] I'm prepping ready, are you?

    [01:03:20] Me?

    [01:03:21] I'm always ready, dude

[01:03:22] Look, my table's right there

[01:03:23] I touch my table every day

    [01:03:25] I'm ready to go

[01:03:26] Chris, Chris is going to

[01:03:27] Chris Folsom's going to come pick me up on Friday

[01:03:29] I get out of work

    [01:03:30] Maybe like around noon

[01:03:31] I got a house that's supposed to close that day

    [01:03:33] Hopefully it closes

    [01:03:34] But

[01:03:36] I'll be, I'll be ready to go

    [01:03:37] We'll be down there

[01:03:38] Hopefully by like 5 or 6 o'clock on Friday

    [01:03:40] Nice

[01:03:41] And open doubles on Saturday, pro doubles on Sunday

[01:03:44] That's it, only two events I'm playing

[01:03:46] So we're going to see

[01:03:48] We're going to see how it goes

    [01:03:49] So last time

[01:03:51] Last time I went to Nationals

[01:03:53] We got third in open doubles

[01:03:54] We actually, we beat Brandon

[01:03:56] We put Brandon in the losers

    [01:03:57] Brandon went with Tito

    [01:03:58] Cool

[01:03:59] Yeah, that was a couple of years ago

    [01:04:00] Yeah

    [01:04:01] He started messing around

    [01:04:02] You know, he's like

    [01:04:03] Ah

[01:04:04] He thought we were chumps

[01:04:05] And he started messing around

[01:04:06] And then we beat him in four games

[01:04:07] That's the eye of a tiger, no

    [01:04:09] I was stunned, I don't know what I think

    [01:04:11] Let me see

[01:04:12] Ah, you were, you were mastered then

    [01:04:13] Yeah, you were, yeah

[01:04:14] That's the key to the thing now

    [01:04:16] I know, I know, believe me, I know

[01:04:19] I know, he don't take me lightly no more

    [01:04:22] Yeah

    [01:04:23] So

    [01:04:24] Plus his name

[01:04:25] No, he's playing with Ryan

[01:04:27] Ew, that's going to suck

[01:04:28] That's going to be tough

[01:04:29] So a lot of good teams

[01:04:31] Nationals are going to be good

    [01:04:33] So, yeah

    [01:04:36] Looking forward to it

[01:04:37] The battle of the fourth fifth is 6th of October

[01:04:40] The battle is fourth, fifth and sixth

    [01:04:42] Okay

    [01:04:43] That's a, that's a

    [01:04:44] That's actually

    [01:04:45] Yeah, perfect

    [01:04:46] We hit it open

[01:04:47] And you still have good weather then too

    [01:04:49] That's the other thing

    [01:04:50] It's like the

    [01:04:51] Three-nice school weather

    [01:04:52] Won't be hot

    [01:04:53] Yeah

    [01:04:54] Oh, no question

[01:04:55] Now it seems like the

[01:04:56] The structure of the way tournaments are held right now

[01:04:59] All the northern tournaments should happen

    [01:05:01] During spring and summer

[01:05:03] And all the southern tournaments should be happening

    [01:05:05] Winter, winter and fall

[01:05:07] You know, just the off month

[01:05:09] Yeah, the winter and the fall should be

[01:05:12] Certainly a great time to get away

[01:05:14] To a warmer climate for us northerners

[01:05:17] That would be the thing to do

[01:05:19] And I get used to that for sure

[01:05:23] Well, I got to say guys

[01:05:25] This is such an absolute pleasure

[01:05:28] Having all you on at the same time

[01:05:30] We ask for a randall and we get everybody

[01:05:33] That's a bonus to say the least

[01:05:36] Brandon, so are you going to World Cup next year?

    [01:05:39] World Cup next year

    [01:05:44] World Cup

    [01:05:45] I'm not sure yet

    [01:05:47] But I'm the best

    [01:05:49] Yeah

[01:05:50] Would you play for the US?

[01:05:54] I'm probably playing with the US, yeah

    [01:05:57] Good, excellent

    [01:05:58] We're happy for that

    [01:06:00] Very happy for that

[01:06:02] That would be, I think this year

[01:06:04] I think the ladies and the women

[01:06:07] Are going to take gold this year

[01:06:09] This next year in 2025

[01:06:11] Best players coming, the best players that are going to be

    [01:06:13] Going to be awesome

    [01:06:14] Yep

    [01:06:15] No doubt

[01:06:17] Yeah, I think both teams are going to be stacked

[01:06:20] I think our women's team and our men's team

[01:06:22] Is going to be stacked

[01:06:24] So it's going to be good

[01:06:26] Hey, I just sent Tom the flyer

[01:06:30] For the battle to buy you

    [01:06:32] So he'll have it

[01:06:34] And he'll be able to spread the word about it

    [01:06:36] So it'll be good

    [01:06:37] Looking forward to it

    [01:06:39] So, yeah

    [01:06:40] Hey

[01:06:41] Thank you so much for coming on, man

    [01:06:43] I appreciate you guys
