[00:02:32] I'll talk oh I think you I think you're just just kind of having a Just a little bit of an off weekend that's cool man But hey you're there at the Nationals National Foosball Championship in New Orleans

[00:02:45] Just that by alone has got to be worth worth the price of admission Um so this has been I mean I've had a rough weekend as far as play goes But this has been one of the most fun tournaments uh I've been to in a while

[00:03:00] I mean foosball's fun it's gotta be fun right but uh you know my partner Chris Falsman I'm like we were we were talking about just how much of a good time we've been having

[00:03:10] If if you're a foosball player and you've never been to a tournament in the south You got to get down the people the people are outstanding they're wonderful Everybody's cool uh the food's good you know obviously you're getting to play foosball but

[00:03:24] A tournament in the south is always a good time it's always fun No doubt about it I keep hearing about uh you know the shellfish and uh of course I've always wanted to go to New Orleans and try the the the shrimp aitoufe

[00:03:35] You know the the way that's good the real deal right Yeah, yeah, it's good nothing like a nothing like a little spice to kick your weekend and you know just uh Uh, yeah Yeah, get your get your back door burning. That's what it'll do but yeah

[00:03:50] So when did you arrive by the way? Um, we got here Friday evening in time for open singles Okay, wasn't gonna play but decided to play Uh, just had a good time played some singles got to Blake got to Blake and the winners

[00:04:05] He beat me and then I think I won my next one maybe and then uh mark kraus put me out But uh, you know, he's a good player. Oh, yeah, player and sure

[00:04:15] Yeah, but the singles field, you know, there's a lot of ministers here this weekend and to me ended up winning of course And um, I know Brandon and Isabelle end up winning mix. They beat Billy and Hannah And then uh, that was quite a match here. Yeah

[00:04:30] Yeah, and when we got here the women's singles final was starting which Sullivan won Hannah got second and then um We played handicap Which was a struggle because it was two out of three single elimination, which is stupid

[00:04:43] I think if you're gonna do so, I mean, it should be at least three out of five But we lost our first round and then we just went to bed got up next morning

[00:04:50] There's a waffle house about a mile away went down had some breakfast came back got warmed up played open doubles tough field But you know again, uh It's the foosball has been tough. A lot of good players a lot of good teams

[00:05:03] We've we've had a good time out of everything now. So I'm just I'm gonna give you a walk through time But everybody see what's going on here I think everybody's gonna want to see what this place looks like, of course, you know

[00:05:16] We're on twitch tv this evening and I know there's that I and by the way kudos to the uh, the folks doing the Play by play from modern foos adam and clay. I've been watching those guys this weekend. They've been doing a really nice job

[00:05:29] Really great coverage and It's it's just exciting to watch and and really wishing I could be there and just to just to be there in person catch the vibe Yeah, and the stream stuff. That's one thing I'll give kudos to modern foos like their setups awesome

[00:05:43] Yeah, that mohawk thing they got uh, it's pretty awesome and um Yeah, I mean it's it's it's been good. But let me uh, let me give you a walk through maybe we catch some people

[00:07:56] So jake how was your weekend? Yeah, jakes been playing good. He had a good finish and open singles. Uh, he's been playing really well Nice and then we come over here

[00:10:50] But was that I said what's happening? What's uh, how's the weekend going? How's the weekend going great? I I won in the vet got second in an event Amateur women's doubles champ national

[00:11:02] Wow, congratulations. That's awesome. Thank you. Yeah, nice playing. Uh, so so you uh, you like the nationals What's your next tournament by the way? Um, my next one is oh Ohio. This is my first time at nationals. Oh, no

[00:11:16] I really enjoyed the team event besides that I was 9 30 in the morning. I don't want to do that But I did love the event The team aspect of it and everyone was rooting for

[00:11:28] For everyone's you know their their team. Yes, I mean the tension in the room was Really high at the end and I loved that feeling. I wish we could have seen a forward chudeau. Oh, yeah

[00:11:40] That was that I I was a little disappointed. I was I was like let's go Sure, absolutely It was fun. I hope next year we can have a Wisconsin team that wouldn't that would have enough players Oh, we have enough players

[00:11:55] Base coming. Yeah, just couldn't get everybody there. Is that the problem? Yeah, there was just not enough Wisconsin players going this year, but right I'm really motivated to get some people to want to come next year because I think that'll be it'll be fun

[00:12:09] Cool. No, it's uh, I think the same could be said for here in new york state We have players, but we just couldn't get enough people together to go to to compete So maybe next year maybe yeah, maybe next year. Yeah, absolutely and congratulations to california

[00:12:24] I know they took the championship That was that was awesome. Yeah Awesome to watch and it's uh, it's great because everybody's cheering and having a great time and just you know It was it was pretty close a pretty ruckus crowd in here tom. It was

[00:12:40] That's what I enjoyed most about it every point there was cheering That is was really fun as it should be right That's uh, that's the way foosball needs to be played and and that gets everybody else fired up too

[00:12:52] So yeah, that's that's awesome. Well, congratulations on your weekend Thank you Yeah, we'll see you at the next tournament I guess yes Yeah, I thought you asked What oh, yeah, oh, hi, oh worlds and We'll see you out then. Yeah, we'll see it What's up? Oh

[00:13:38] And then this pretty young lady right here She's from argentina and she's in the country for a couple months just playing foosball lucky her right? Wow, welcome welcome and uh, thanks for being uh being at america to play foosball

[00:13:51] It's uh, is it anything like argentina by the way as far as the the play Is the play like argentina? Yeah, it is. Yeah, yeah Excellent. So she's gonna be here for a few months just playing and hanging out

[00:14:03] So i'm a little jealous. She just gets to play foosball. So wow Must be nice right now Live going around the world So What's your name Diana Diana portales Diana portella. So if you see her name in the brackets now you can face all right

[00:14:24] Great to meet you Diana Yeah, so, uh It's like I said, it's been it's been a good weekend been a good tournament Everybody's been cool. Nobody's gotten beat up which is always okay. Okay

[00:14:38] This weekend just still going on here. Let's see what can we uh, we got we got a two two one two one and the third Yeah, so this is we got a nail biter going on here if you're if you're um

[00:14:52] Once we get off the podcast hop on Hop on twitch and check out modern modern foos. Yeah girls the girls are playing a good match on table Yeah Yeah, that's where we're at some

[00:15:06] Saw uh sullivan and hannah in the quarter finals from pro doubles. They were tearing it up man I mean they they won it in four games in the quarter finals

[00:15:15] Against uden and his partner and uh, yeah pretty pretty impressive. I mean now those two guys are playing right now They're playing uh, they're playing brainless brother right now

[00:15:25] And uh, it's they got a couple refs. They're going to game five. So, uh, yeah, it's getting tight in here, dude It's getting tight so very cool So, um, what's uh, it's been a good time

[00:15:38] Give me an idea. What's uh, what what's are there any surprises you wanted to mention as far as uh, just the results Anything that you thought would uh, would be surprising I mean open open mix brandon and esabel open doubles brandon and ryan

[00:15:53] Open singles tommy. I don't think there was really any surprises as far as open events go um No, it's honestly it's been Uh pretty standard this weekend as far as who's winning stuff. Uh, you know the the pro pro the pro event um jake

[00:16:14] Jacob beat sam and pro singles and uh, if everybody remembers back in los vegas Sam beat jake right it's been going back and forth those two And they had a little flip flop this time jake kind of put it on sam a little bit

[00:16:27] So i'm i'm actually kind of eager to see that little rivalry develop and grow and see how that you know, see how that goes. Um We were just playing out now

[00:16:36] We were just saying the other night nino was out for a friday night dyp because he couldn't make it to the uh To the nationals but his you know, he sent his wife and sam there

[00:16:46] And he said yeah that sam had just lost to jake, but I said to to nino I said you know these two are going back and forth sam wins once then jake wins and it goes back and forth

[00:16:57] It's kind of like what what ryan and tony were doing back in the day In in uh in pro and open singles just you know trading trading shots

[00:17:06] And it seems like you know a couple years from now it could be exactly the same kind of thing between jake had been in sam So You know who knows we we can only hope tom we can only hope right the animal they're they're both uh growing

[00:17:20] Obviously they're young men. They're growing physically, but also You know, they're growing rising superstars in the game Their fruze of all ability is growing leaps and bounds. They're they're getting better every tournament. So it's just interesting

[00:17:33] It's interesting to watch uh, you know looking forward to the next one where they battle and and just see how it plays out so but Like I said overall for the weekend. It's been fun. Everybody's been cool

[00:17:44] You know again we we uh, we went got some dinner a little bit ago There's a place around the corner where they used to have it at the devil tree There's uh, there's a place there called the bar on vets

[00:17:53] Shout out to my boy troika lehan. He put me onto this place But one of the best takes I've ever had in my life Nice For 20 bucks they cook it. They cook it with a thermometer. They put gauging butter on it. It's so thinking good

[00:18:07] So yeah man look look we've been eating good. We've been having a good time And uh, it's been it's been a good tournament. We've been having fun. So tomorrow back to reality

[00:18:17] Yeah, no, I hear you now in your opinion one more one more quick question in your opinion Uh the combination of ryan moore and brandon mooneos. Do you think there's anybody out there in in the doubles? The open doubles world that has a prayer against those guys

[00:18:33] Yeah, yeah, okay. Yeah Who would that be? Oh, you're gonna name me. Yeah, what do you think? Tony to me and rob. Okay maras, you know, that's that's uh, um Ryan has been playing so like his doubles game. He's been just kind of taking over

[00:18:52] Um, like just so brandon brandon's just such a dynamic forward, you know, she's just so aggressive. Um Uh, it's gonna be interesting to see those two playing together going forward and who's gonna give I mean, Eric, Eric and tommy are a tough team. So no doubt, you know

[00:19:11] Uh But it's it's gonna be interesting to see tom. I mean, we'll just we're gonna have to work and see so yeah for the future For sure And I think that uh once you once you establish a team like like ryan and mooneos I mean, it's it's uh

[00:19:25] That's tough to separate them after they they've start to crush and every you know, they're crushing everybody else But we'll see yeah and be exciting to see what happens with them. Yes, sir. Yes, sir, tom. So Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hola

[00:19:39] So what's up? So, uh, there's there's the man right there. Yeah Yes, sir. So, uh That's it tom. I'm gonna get back in here try and watch these girls win this match and

[00:19:51] Absolutely. I gotta go I gotta go up to my room and finish up a contract and then you just kind of relax Well, man, that's it tom. I'm so glad, you know, we you could drop in and just hang out for a couple minutes here

[00:20:02] And I know it's it's been a busy weekend and man, you know, there's the next time of course will be together at worlds Um, I don't know. Were you planning on going to Ohio State by the way?

[00:20:13] No, no, I'll be so I'm here and then uh, they're throwing a nice little one day in Luxaville in a couple weeks. Nice and then I'll be I'll be in um I'll be at Mississippi State in the July. Okay looking forward to that

[00:20:28] And then I'll be up there in the northeast in the middle of august My boy john garseyes throwing a tournament august 10th, right Uh, so I'll be I'll be up visiting family. I'm gonna go play that and then I got worlds at the end of august

[00:20:42] And then after that, I'm probably gonna take a little break. So but next couple months. I'm gonna hit it hard Okay, well, you know, maybe we'll encounter one another in person Before worlds who knows just you just never could work out. Hopefully I'll see you soon
