[00:02:21] It's been a big long weekend The 2024 Mississippi State Championship In Gulfport, Mississippi And without further ado The man who's been tearing it up this weekend Mr. Randy Raposo, hello Randy Hey Tom, how are you today? It's a beautiful day in upstate New York

[00:02:42] What's the weather like there or haven't you looked outside yet? So hot, dude Not bad but it's hot Understood So I know that you're playing pro doubles tonight You're battling your way back through the losers bracket How's that going so far? Just one match at a time

[00:03:03] That's all we're trying to do We're just trying to win this next month See how it goes A lot of good competition here There's always good competition At Mississippi State It's one of my favorite tournaments They do a great job It's always fun

[00:03:18] It's one I never try to miss I'll give you guys a quick walkthrough Let me get this camera flipped I'll just show you this is when you walk into the hotel So there's the entrance coming in here So they're stacking up the tables now

[00:03:32] You can see they're packing up They're getting packed up Ready to load them in the trailer right there So you come in I got restrooms here We've got some players here Mark Matarice right there Promoter from down in New Orleans Awesome guy

[00:03:48] He makes all the plaques for Mary and the tour Right Got a couple tables out here Logan Hearns right here He won expert doubles this weekend Say hi Logan What's up Logan? Tom Montz who's live This is the third place finisher In junior singles this weekend right here

[00:04:07] Say hi buddy He must be quite a competitor Gotta say Yeah that's Corey Taylor's youngest child His beautiful wife Callie And there's another stud over there They're just you know They start them off young down here So you come into the Fussball room

[00:04:22] And they're already starting to pack up Yep But they had 20 tables All the tables played well So you come in Pits down here One, two, three, four We had inside Fuss Some bleachers here And then the setup was amazing Obviously you got Isabelle Steliac

[00:04:42] And then like a lunatic And you know You know, Donna Wilson here Everybody's kind of hanging Down and down They're getting the no conflict DYP which they change into An open DYP go Okay So everybody's kind of Out of everything But see some lovely people here

[00:05:02] Miss Mary Molley, Mr. Killamokes We just found out that They're actually moving to Lafayette Louisiana Lafayette's getting two more great players Right That's awesome Then we got some expert mix action here We can't watch for a second Yeah, we were watching that earlier I was watching that here

[00:05:18] In the house And there was pretty fierce battle going on there Yeah, that's Brian Ingram From Mississippi I'm not 100% sure who is part of it I think I need my be Alice Poe Yeah, Alice Poe Yeah, I played with Alice But many years ago in Texas State Okay

[00:05:40] And then we've got Wesley and Kelly Parrot here There are some Alabama players Sweet sweet people Nice She's got the Bama Blue Frenchies that we had Talked about back in the schools Yep Good people So we'll just do a walk over here Mr. McClouse here Staying with him

[00:05:59] Great pro player from the state of Nebraska That's a nice room, man That's well set up, I gotta say Is that Is that Dr. Hannah Dr. Hannah, what's up Yeah Dr. Hannah Smith So congratulations on the plays weekend, Hannah Look at the hardware Look at that

[00:06:20] You're carrying that stuff around So now we see Dr. Hannah On the list of players So you got your PhD Is that what happened? I mean, I had it But the other people showed up And they just doctor when they signed up

[00:06:34] And I was like, wait a minute I'm talking to you That was so cool And then Donald hooked me up He was like, you actually have a PhD So yeah, you can That's awesome Well, great playing this weekend Who's nose is that? Is that Jacob? What's up, Jacob?

[00:07:30] Hey, man, how you doing? I'm doing well I understand it's been A pretty good tournament this weekend How you feeling? Yeah, very well We had about 140 players here Nice We might have went over that today I hadn't looked But a good deal Yeah We were finished

[00:07:47] We were finished with everything Pretty much around seven It's self-for-pro And they're playing the finals Of expert mix right now So I decided to make the draw A no-conflict They can There was a no-conflict I changed it to a conflict Where they could play

[00:08:03] There's a lot of us A lot of us here tomorrow So give us something to do tonight Nice, very cool So we're gonna have that And I see Brandon Munoz is back there It's been a good weekend The tournament's run great The tables have played great Run smooth

[00:08:21] These tables have been over here In Mississippi now It's over here Okay The thing is they're good They're all We might have a good time Yeah, I wasn't going to say What better what But I mean we've had them Some of them didn't play for one tournament

[00:08:34] They just was over here For a path over here Nice We're gonna have these ten up to worlds You know, toward a championship Because these tables Are probably better than the other ones They've played great All the tables We can do pretty great Yeah, awesome Yeah, that's

[00:08:49] I gotta say Those are the kinds of things That when it comes to The tournaments of late I know there's been A couple of situations Where the tables were kind of Not perfect Sub-part Sub-part Okay, sub-part I didn't have anybody complain about Lobby rides or Now

[00:09:09] I don't know if you know what sand washing is But sometimes You get a ride where They're coating the coating And they take the coating off And then it's able to work But if they don't get all the chemical off When you start adding silicone to play

[00:09:25] And it turns to like a milky white Grayish film And what you have to do then Is you have to clean it off Get paint thinner Use a 3,000 degree sandpaper And just spin it around there A couple of times And then clean it off And roll them solid

[00:09:37] Place brand new And then good to go Got it But all that ride I saw this weekend was on the free ride And I think somebody got angry and vented Oh, no kidding Okay Well I thought mine Was married So I think that You know

[00:09:58] When it comes to competition this weekend It's been pretty fierce I was watching some of the matches And man I mean it's top level I think one of the most exciting matches Probably Expert doubles The finals It went Two matches all the way down I think you said

[00:10:18] I don't need five, two or five, three Yeah Well hold on Wait a minute There was an open final Okay That went all the way to the eighth Oh yeah What do you think? Open doubles Open doubles Yes Yeah Then he goes

[00:10:32] Did we have one go all the way like that? Yeah, Terry Roode And Brandon Dole Oh yeah Yeah, double did He went five games in both groups Wow That was very exciting Yeah Great stuff And now we got Randy and the Hunts still For pro doubles Yeah

[00:10:50] I think there's a They're not through Yeah You just never know Yeah And these awards here too Let me show you this award Look at how pretty this is Look at it Oh man, check it out Oh that's awesome Now that's something worth taking home Right?

[00:11:09] You want to get that on the plane Yeah They said they really liked this because They could give some shrimp That's a wrong thing I'm wrong I got a point But I mean this is heavy I mean this is heavy It looks heavy

[00:11:22] Yeah I could knock Randy out right now This I mean you know That's right He does have a hard head Anyway Yeah That's beautiful Yeah And something that was so cool Is when the rookies won their trophy Oh but first place was three posts And it was about

[00:11:41] It was like three sales It was taller It was taller than some of the kids here No kidding They were like They were like They were like That Congratulations, Bracklin That's awesome That's a big trophy right there Yeah man that is sweet

[00:11:59] And they do it right down here Tom They do it right down here And don't worry about getting it home We'll ship it for you No problem He doesn't like flying He'll be something Bracklin Yeah they live about Three hours Well less than three hours Right No problem

[00:12:16] No problem No problem Wow Very cool I wish you could be there Yeah Tom you need to make your way down here Yeah Next year come Miss Hibiscus State I think that makes sense I think that makes a lot of sense

[00:12:31] You know we'll have to do the whole thing live there We might be I just want to change our date Because we conflicted with The Beedville house stage The beach The beach And you know I think it had another local turn up In Arkansas somewhere

[00:12:46] Maybe Oklahoma has one I can't remember But anyway we just had national a month ago Right So you know here's what we had right out of 160 But I'm not disappointed I turned 40 probably 20 off That's good I mean I love it down here

[00:13:01] Everybody makes hot pens in the room Yep And if somebody says they were hot down here They're telling a story Because we had a wife for a jacket I mean it was We had the air work down here Oh yeah yeah I would hope so yeah See work

[00:13:19] Once they just remodeled all the rooms I don't think anybody I mean about the rooms Everything was good Swimming pool, everything There's food close by Well they have a breakfast buffet That's good too Yeah no the ballroom looks fantastic Looks like a really nice place Yeah yeah

[00:13:39] They've done it in a shell But I'm going to finish my lap here Tom And then when I go warm up It's good Yeah we can't get you too cooled off here Before you get into the finals You're going to make it to the finals tonight

[00:13:51] By the way Randy I'm just saying Just saying But Donald Wilson man It's great to see ya Yes sir Yes sir So that's the gist of the time It's been a good weekend Let me say I'm going to come down here to the end

[00:14:07] And flip this camera so you can just see the whole room From the end Yep Let's see So you are Are you playing forward mostly tonight? Say again Are you playing forward in the match for tonight? Are you playing forward most of the time For Pro Devils?

[00:14:27] Yeah yeah You know the match we lost on the other side We lost to Logan, Herman and Kraus They beat us in three Logan just played great He passed well Shot great And it went three games But you know we just We're just trying to keep up

[00:14:47] So they ended up losing the King's Team Which Corey Taylor and Kenneth Dale Right So you know Chris and I are just Trivino one in the next match That's all we're worried about One in the next one You know pro singles Corey Taylor won the winners bracket

[00:15:03] Jacob came back and doubled it That's another thing about this tournament It was in championship for me It was traditional Yeah double elimination Yeah traditional double elimination Everybody's enjoyed that Again nothing against the championship formula But I think everybody Just enjoyed playing a traditional Four minute tournament

[00:15:22] Tommy and Hannah won open mixed Tommy won open singles Brandon and Terry double dipped To win open doubles I'm not 100% sure about Expert single Hannah won She did She doubled it And amateur women's singles Michelle Ochoa Local player And her And Val

[00:15:51] I'm not going to say her last name Because I don't want to screw it up But they won amateur women's doubles Actually I told them we tried to get them on here And talk about their winning Because they're up and coming Local players in Lafayette

[00:16:03] Okay let's do that It's been a good weekend time It's not over yet We're going to see if maybe We can make a little more noise here No doubt And so we'll be seeing you The pro doubles inside Fuse tonight in the finals

[00:16:18] On table one is that correct? Don't jinx me I hope so but don't jinx me But no but look I'll be in New York Next week in the weekend Are you coming with the dawns for the tournament? Now it's I would say next weekend Is a better opportunity

[00:16:34] Because I do have Saturday off And the following weekend I'm actually doing a benefit Or helping to raise funds for a local park But this next Saturday Is a pretty good possibility I may be up in Massachusetts Okay well get a hold of those guys

[00:16:52] Go play some foosball But I'll be up there I'll be up there for the tenth And I'll be at Worlds in a month I'm going to see you in a month We're going to be hanging Got the flight booked And sharing a room with none other
