[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, you know, I can't complain.
[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_07]: It's a beautiful day in upstate New York today.
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it was like no humidity.
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_07]: It was seventy nine most of the day and we did a little grilling out tonight and chilled in the backyard a bit.
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_07]: You know, that kind of stuff.
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_07]: So nice.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. You know, it's for a change.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_07]: It was not raining.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, well, it was like eighty five today.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Took my wife. Her birthday was this past week.
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_04]: So we did some shopping yesterday and then we went and got many petties, which I do enjoy.
[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Say again.
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I got a pedicure and a manicure.
[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry. Can I get a can I get a one recording this?
[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, good. Yeah, I got that.
[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, look at that.
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_04]: There's no paint on my nails, Tom.
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_04]: All right.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I listen.
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Very sweet girl.
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Her family owns the place.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I told her, I said, come with me to Lexington, bring a massage table.
[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Ten minutes for twenty dollars.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I said, we'll split the money.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Many petty.
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_04]: She said, I mean, great hand massages, great famous.
[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: So she said not this time.
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_04]: And then I came home and I white in my teeth.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Whoa, pearly.
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Very pearly.
[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm getting ready for worlds.
[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm getting ready for worlds in a different way.
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_07]: You are you're decked out, man.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_04]: This is this is shining like a new penny.
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, you know, we are you and I are extremely lucky because, well,
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_07]: first of all, we get to hang out with two top pros in this field
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_07]: who just happen to be ladies.
[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_04]: And that's an understatement.
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's an understatement.
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, two of the best two of the best lady players in the world.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Two of the best pro players in the world.
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_04]: And then the potty crasher, one of my favorite people who just shows up
[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_04]: when he wants.
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, oh, you mean Donald?
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Donald's here.
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_07]: Donald Donald's muted, by the way.
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_07]: But they're all muted.
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_07]: That's OK.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_07]: So let's let's formally introduce Hannity Smith and Sullivan Roo.
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Hey, guys.
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Another now you're unmuted.
[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Cool.
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_07]: Welcome.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks.
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_07]: We're going to talk.
[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_07]: We're going to have some fun tonight.
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_07]: You're stuck with a couple of Northeastern dudes, but we have a wicked good time.
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Wicked.
[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_07]: But but we also have someone on your side, Donald Wilson.
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Hello, Donald.
[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Are you are you with us on mute?
[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I'm with you.
[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_04]: How are you doing?
[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_04]: There you are.
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Why do you look like you're in a holding cell at a police station?
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, oh, oh, it's a takeout.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it's taken.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Same thing.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_04]: You look you're being processed.
[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_04]: You look like you're being processed.
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: But we're on the road.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm traveling with Mark, Mattarisi, Mattarisi.
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_02]: We're between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham somewhere.
[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Why didn't you tell me, dude?
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_04]: We could have met up and had dinner.
[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll probably be hungry in a couple more hours.
[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_04]: You'll be you'll be way past me.
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm saying you could we could have did this at my house.
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_04]: We could have just did the thing anyway.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_04]: So where are you specifically?
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_04]: What eggs?
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I have no idea.
[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_04]: There's only if we can't be up there.
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_04]: We just saw one and took the exit exit 97.
[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Is it the exit 97?
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_04]: We didn't look and they just sold the house to a lady that works with that can see.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Really?
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Wow.
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, man.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_04]: It's not bad.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_04]: It's not bad.
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_04]: You'll be OK.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Let me look at the map real quick.
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll be right back.
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_07]: So while Donald's looking at the map, Hannah, first of all, what's what's been happening for you this summer?
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_07]: How are you doing?
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, this summer is great.
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It's been very busy.
[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: A couple of trips to Europe.
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: We have one more coming up and otherwise been trying to hit a bunch of tour stops, hanging out, seeing my friends at all the state tournaments and majors.
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's been a really good time playing a lot, playing a lot of softball.
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_01]: To be around the house, got our dog back from training.
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_07]: So you find time to sleep when?
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. What's that?
[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_07]: Who?
[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. It doesn't happen for me.
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Hannah, how about you?
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Or I mean, Sullivan, what's going on for you?
[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_07]: What's what's what's the summer like for you?
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Pretty much just foosball, to be honest.
[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Just foosball.
[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And taking a break.
[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I had an interesting summer, for sure.
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: There are a lot of highs and lows, but I'm excited for Worlds.
[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to start school, which I'll be starting tomorrow.
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Tomorrow?
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So be more busy.
[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_07]: You're back in school tomorrow.
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_07]: And that's an interesting combination of having to go back to school and then heading to Worlds on the weekend.
[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, every year I start school for like two days and then I have to get my teacher to be OK with me leaving because I can basically have one absence before they consider failing you as a nursing student.
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Ouch.
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: No matter your grades.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Ouch.
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you really got to work around it, but I work it out.
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_04]: So nurses are in demand.
[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I figure they'd be a little more flexible.
[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Not at all.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Not at all.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Geez.
[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_01]: We let our kids miss twice and then they're dropped on third, so you get at least two absences for us.
[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Man, that's harsh, man.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I was...
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_04]: My wife teaches second grade.
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_04]: You just not show up.
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_04]: That's cool.
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Right?
[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, if you go back to 1979 when I was my first...
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Actually, my second year in college, I discovered a foosball table on campus and I missed a couple of classes.
[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_07]: More than two, in fact.
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_03]: 1979.
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_07]: 1979.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_07]: What can I tell you?
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Tom, look, I love you, buddy.
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm old.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_04]: I was born in 81.
[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_04]: So you are already in college in 79.
[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_04]: So you were what?
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_04]: 18, 19, 20 in 79?
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, 20.
[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_04]: 20.
[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_07]: So, give or take.
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Although I don't remember much of that.
[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, yeah.
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, so we're all going to Worlds.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_07]: This is so much fun.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_07]: I think that there's going to be a good turnout.
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Don, are you back with us?
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Can you hear us?
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Now he looks like he's...
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I've been hearing the whole time.
[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Nice.
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_07]: What do you think?
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_07]: What do you think the turnout is going to be like this year?
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_07]: He's got to think about it.
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he lied.
[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he was nervous.
[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Now you're breaking up on us, Don.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_04]: That's Alabama internet.
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a high quality connection.
[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_02]: So I just put it to you like this.
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Can you hear me?
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_07]: We got you.
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_02]: The room sales, the night sales are bigger than last year's.
[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Bigger?
[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, nice.
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Excellent.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_02]: That's all I'm saying.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_04]: All right.
[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm at exit 98.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_04]: So you were just at 97, right?
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_04]: So that's...
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, 97.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the KFC over there is not bad.
[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Right across you from the Jacks.
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I know where that is.
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right across from the Jacks.
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_04]: My wife grew up 15 minutes from there.
[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_04]: It's pretty podunk.
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Pretty podunk.
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I should have set up, come to your house then.
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm only like 30 minutes away from there.
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_04]: You would have told me.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_04]: I would have met you.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_04]: I would have took care of you.
[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_04]: You wouldn't look like you're starring in the Blair Witch 2 right now.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_04]: In a cool house with AC and light and we'd be doing this right.
[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Mark's got his AC wide open.
[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Of course he does.
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Hey, Mark.
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I've got a suggestion.
[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's got all the awards.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_02]: We've got all the awards we're bringing them.
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh wow.
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, we're going to get there sometime.
[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know when.
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_04]: You're about six.
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_04]: You're about six hours away.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, about six hours.
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll get there about three o'clock.
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Not bad.
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, no, you lose an hour or two when you cross over.
[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Well then, we're going to lose four now because how many Buc-E's are between here and Lexington?
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_04]: None.
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe one.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to top it every one of them.
[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Did you swap with the one in Leeds like right outside of Birmingham?
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_04]: No, it's on the other side.
[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_04]: It's on the other side.
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Just go.
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like five miles extra.
[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_01]: You got to do it.
[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's worth it.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_04]: No, listen.
[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_04]: You could move into the bathroom there and nobody would ever know.
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_05]: You ain't got a TV.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't have a nice TV.
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me tell you what Mark said.
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Mark said, I could live in there.
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_02]: They had a TV.
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_02]: They had a TV.
[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And a tray to eat off of.
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I would never live there.
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_07]: I've been to Buc-E's, but it was outside of Houston.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Between Houston and Dallas, there's a Buc-E's.
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it originated in Texas and now they're growing up.
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_04]: They're everywhere.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh my God.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they got one.
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_02]: They got one that's going to be opened up down on the coast in Mississippi.
[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Nice.
[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully before the end of this year.
[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_02]: That's going to be about an hour and 30 minutes from here.
[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Do your Christmas shopping there.
[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_04]: It's ridiculous.
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_04]: That three meat sandwich they have for like 15 bucks.
[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_02]: You cannot beat the brisket sandwich, I'm telling you.
[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, we're not even talking about foosball anymore.
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_04]: We're just talking about Buc-E's.
[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about Buc-E's.
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about Buc-E's.
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Look, when I go to Buc-E's, I promise you,
[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm lucky if I get out of there spending $40.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Usually it's more than that.
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_07]: There's dedication.
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_07]: There's dedication.
[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_07]: A true road warrior.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_07]: And so Don, we really appreciate you being here and of course doing what you do to get this tournament underway.
[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_07]: We're looking forward to being there.
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_07]: So what's new and different about the tournament this year?
[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_07]: And what can we expect?
[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Expect something that is going to be out of this world.
[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Really?
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to leave a different person than when you got there.
[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm intrigued.
[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And also this weekend is set up to be a world record breaker.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_02]: We got two females that's going to go for a four-piece.
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I think.
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Look, if they do that, that is history.
[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_07]: That is history.
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_02]: And then you're going to say are they going to go for five?
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_02]: This could never stop.
[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_02]: You know?
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_07]: That is legendary.
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_07]: That's exciting.
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Actually I was brushing up on some old matches.
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_07]: In fact, the Hall of Fame classic, women's doubles finals versus Liz's.
[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_07]: And Christina Fuchs.
[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_07]: What a great match that was.
[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Man, that was first of all, you never switch the whole time.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Why was that?
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I guess we used to have different struggles, but we didn't have to make any adjustments that match like we maybe used to against that team.
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_07]: And Hannah, you kept hitting that amazing pass of yours.
[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Like effortless.
[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_07]: And it's like you guys are symbiotically communicating in some way after all this time.
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_07]: I guess it's just like I know where I'm going and she knows where I'm going and that's that.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Would that be true?
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean we're actually morphing into the same human.
[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_06]: No.
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It definitely comes with that.
[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's so crazy because we put a lot into it.
[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not just like, hey, we're buddies and we show up and play foosball together.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Like we put a lot of work into it.
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And I know the cool kids say they don't practice and they don't do this or they don't put that much into it.
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So when they lose, they're like, well, I didn't try or I didn't practice.
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_01]: But like that's not me.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So we aren't that way.
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we invest everything.
[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_01]: We put so much into it.
[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Our whole hearts.
[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_01]: We play with so much passion and we analyze everything.
[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_01]: If we get beat by somebody, we pick it apart.
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_01]: We figure it out.
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's just we've played together and we've had so many situations and so many talks like if we're in this and they're do this and then you know to look for that.
[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's just kind of automatic at this point.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And I just think we keep getting better.
[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think people say that, oh, they're not going to get better.
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They just you can only play with someone so much.
[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to max out.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_01]: But like, I don't believe that at all.
[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so.
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_04]: So how long have you two been playing together now?
[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Four years.
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, four.
[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Four years.
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because we'll be gone for our fourth.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's funny.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_00]: We actually so I had one world with the Leza in 2017 and then either the next year or the one after that she couldn't come in like two weeks notice.
[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And Hannah happened to not be partnered.
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_00]: We actually took third that tournament.
[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_06]: OK.
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And then we decided to play the next year and then we won and then we didn't lose for.
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_04]: You haven't lost since you haven't lost since.
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_07]: Could be a four P.
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_00]: It could be.
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I'm totally blown away here.
[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I am.
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Can see the screen?
[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Can I see?
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I see Hannah just smiling away and I hear her and never opens her mouth.
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And it was just blow me away.
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_02]: So I must be lagging as I'm using Alabama Internet.
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_07]: We come most of that last the last 30 seconds of it.
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_07]: What was the first thing you said, Don?
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I said, I'm sitting there watching and I see Hannah.
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I hear Hannah talking, but she's just smiling, never says anything.
[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm like, what if she had this pre-recorded or something?
[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And then.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_06]: So what's happening?
[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_02]: But when Sullivan starts talking, her mouth and voice is matching up.
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And then all of a sudden, Hannah started talking while her mouth started moving while Sullivan was talking.
[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I said, wait a minute, they're playing tricks on me.
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_01]: We're the same person.
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_01]: It's fine.
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't you?
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_04]: They've been practicing.
[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_04]: They've been practicing ventriloquism pre-worlds.
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_07]: There you go.
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad I live in Mississippi.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_02]: My Internet works pretty bad.
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_04]: You can't see their hands either.
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's just kind of like.
[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_04]: ventriloquism.
[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Now, guys, I don't think that Hannah and Sully decided to come on tonight to be abused.
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_07]: So let's back off.
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_05]: They are going to make history.
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_05]: They're going to make history.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like I said, I played with Hannah.
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Once I had the opportunity to play with Hannah once at Louisiana.
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_04]: And it was kind of like the same thing.
[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I also played with somebody else and there was a miscommunication.
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I need a partner.
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_04]: And Hannah was gracious enough to play with me.
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And it was legitimately probably the most fun I've ever had playing in a.
[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_04]: It was just a good partner, a great partner, just a bunch of fun.
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, I mean, I love watching you two play.
[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_04]: You guys are great.
[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_07]: It's a level of enthusiasm that we don't see very often.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_07]: That is.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_04]: And again, you know, when you've been playing with somebody for a while,
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_04]: you develop a chemistry and it just makes for great, great foosball.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Great to watch.
[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Tough to play against.
[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_04]: And like I said, I mean, I'm always rooting for you guys.
[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Except for when I'm playing against you.
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_04]: It could happen.
[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it could happen.
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm just, I'm just being honest.
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_04]: So, but this is, this is pretty historical.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think people really understand.
[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_04]: And again, I've said this on the show before,
[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_04]: and I know I've talked to both of you about it,
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_04]: but like when people say like, oh, they're good.
[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, they're good for girls.
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Like they're good.
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like, people truly don't,
[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_04]: people truly don't understand the level that you guys play at.
[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Doesn't matter your gender or whatever.
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean,
[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_04]: you're you both have pro titles.
[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_04]: You have open titles.
[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_04]: You're, I mean, yeah.
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Hannah's got over 4,000 points.
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Sullivan's pushing 4,000 points in doubles there.
[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there are dudes out there that don't play at the same level.
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And again, like you were saying before,
[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_04]: the amount of practice and stuff like that.
[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Can you guys each individually kind of walk us through your
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_04]: practice routine if possible?
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I can go first, I guess.
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I kept busy.
[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll go to, we have three locals a week.
[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And obviously our competition is pretty big here now.
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_00]: And Maryam and Callum just moved here.
[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll go Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll play also try to make some gas money.
[00:20:28] Yeah.
[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_00]: It's good for both.
[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And then me and dad play pretty much every day.
[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll play a few three out of fives.
[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And we'll start playing like some of the stuff that we had is
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_00]: crazy because it's mostly fun Z that me and my dad play.
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll get pretty crazy with that,
[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_00]: but that helps me with pickups and everything.
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And then on my own, I'll do my five bar reps each pass,
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_00]: different variations of wall passes, lanes,
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_00]: shoot a bunch from the back.
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll just keep,
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll just crank a bunch of different shots in the goal and
[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_00]: practice my just different holes on the push basically.
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And then watching videos along with it,
[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_00]: which we had to do a lot of the summer.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_04]: So time, like what would you say?
[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that doesn't take 10 minutes.
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_04]: What are we talking about on a daily basis?
[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, me and dad played one,
[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_00]: three out of five before this call, which took 30 minutes.
[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So we usually play two or three.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_04]: And it'll go an hour, at least an hour a day.
[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. We'll go fifth game usually over time,
[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_00]: but like all times and then practicing on my own.
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_00]: It just depends. I'll break it up.
[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll go do goalie work and then come down, do something else.
[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Come up, go do five bar.
[00:21:45] You know?
[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_04]: And is it just tornado touching or do you touch other tables too?
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So I stopped doing other tables, but I did start,
[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe after world series,
[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I would just do 10 passes of each on the other tables,
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_00]: few shots just to get used to it since World Cups a year away.
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_00]: But I stopped doing that because of worlds.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_04]: You just want to be tornado sharp. That's it?
[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now. And then after worlds, I'll get back into it.
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. What about you, Hannah? What do you got going on?
[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So kind of the same thing.
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_01]: So I play with Bracklin and we play, you know,
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_01]: two out of three at least every night when we get home.
[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's usually pretty serious, I would say.
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes we have a funzy one,
[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_01]: but usually it's pretty serious, pretty tour-like games.
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm meaning like pretty serious, not like, oh, I'm trying to beat you.
[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_01]: But like, you know, like I'm doing my tour passes.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing my snake shot.
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing whatever I'm working on from goal.
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's pretty serious. It's not super.
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we'll play funzy games,
[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_01]: but that's usually at my dad's house with him
[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_01]: because he's way more fun to play funsies with
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_01]: because he's so good at all the old school, like cool stuff.
[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I play every day, you know, some amount of time.
[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not always an hour. A lot of times it is.
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But ramping up for Worlds, I guess, I put a lot of work into endurance.
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been working out a ton.
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Like say yesterday I had an off day, so I worked out twice.
[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I watched, you know, probably six videos of foosball.
[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_01]: I text Sully about half of them and said, you know,
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_01]: like this is what we're working on or whatever.
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I spent probably like two and a half, three hours practicing.
[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So I set like a goal each week, like this week before Worlds,
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I was going to do a thousand passes and, you know, on each ride and then whatever.
[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like I spread them out.
[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So you're not doing like 500 a day, but like, you know,
[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_01]: if you do like 50, 50 or like 100 or like a couple of sessions of 100,
[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_01]: it's really not that hard.
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But doing that, did some mental work,
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_01]: read another book that I'm kind of using a structure
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_01]: because I guess what we talked about mostly was like,
[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: we can physically do just about everything we need to do on a foosball table.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of times when we go back to watch that film,
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: you see so much mental stuff that like you can avoid or you could take advantage of.
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's kind of what I've been focusing on most is just endurance,
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_01]: sure execution, but really the mental side.
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Can I ask what the book was?
[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_01]: The most recent? Yeah.
[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I did.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Is it a secret? Is it top secret?
[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm trying to remember.
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm reading three, three books at a time right now.
[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_01]: The mind glass is what I'm doing right now.
[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm actually I'm halfway through that one again before it was.
[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_01]: It hasn't been my favorite.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I like to grit a lot better and I liked winning ugly a lot better.
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Winning ugly is really good.
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_04]: It's really good.
[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_01]: It is really, really good.
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But I keep a notebook and like underline stuff,
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_01]: like if I really like something and then I keep it in this book.
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And then whenever I get to worlds,
[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll like get it out and like find something like these are just quotes from books that I read.
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And like this was my world's plan for like twenty, twenty three.
[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Now took a picture of it on my phone and like I focused on those couple things every game,
[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_01]: every time out or like right before I go to play a match.
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I don't know, world is really stressful.
[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not really a fun tournament.
[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It was like, are you excited?
[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, I mean, no, it's so much work because you have to do so.
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm so weird at worlds, I guess.
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_04]: But no, I mean, like I feel like worlds is where you really just see where you stack up against everybody else.
[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's like I, you know, I do I do OK regionally.
[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Like the past couple of years, I've been just having, you know, top five finishes and doing OK.
[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, I don't want to be one of those players that's just like a good regional player and then chokes at the at the majors.
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I want to do what?
[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going through the mindful athlete again because there are some good things in there that I'm like that for me,
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_04]: that work for me that I need to really kind of take away and focus on.
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I was telling Tom before the show, I'm not really doing a lot of table touching right now.
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like I'm where I need to be physically and I like I don't want to overplay before worlds.
[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I want to be playing my best when I get there.
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm really just trying to focus on like, you know, not I'm trying to minimize the stupid essentially.
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, just make good, make good decisions, make good decisions, manage it, manage the table.
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, because again, just like you guys, like, you know, you know how to pass, you know, to shoot.
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Right. It's just a matter of game plan management, making good decisions.
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't think people I don't think like, you know, there are so many casual foosball players and then obviously,
[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, tournament players from beginner to master, they don't understand what it takes to be a championship caliber team.
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, and again, you guys going for your fourth in a row, it's like the amount of preparation that goes into like you said, it's not worlds isn't fun.
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Like worlds isn't fun. And like, can you can either of you kind of just talk like your world's routine?
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Now we know what you do before. Like when you get there, right, you get there, you check it like what's your world structure?
[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Kind of like because I know for certain people, it's like they go to an event, they get there, they pay their money, they play their event,
[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_04]: they hang out, maybe they party a little bit. It's different for everybody.
[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Like what's your how is world so much different for you than any other tournament?
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Hannah, could you start this time? Yeah, I show up the first day and I get as drunk as possible.
[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I just try to make it through the week. Sounds about like I know that's not true.
[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. Let's go. Yeah, if you haven't tried it, you should.
[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: This world, especially if you're competing in women's.
[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Ladies players.
[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Getting so the first thing I usually get there on like Wednesday night, hang out, you know, just unpack, get everything right.
[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And then, like I said, Thursday, say we start at 2 p.m. Thursday.
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll get up, eat a good breakfast and get up pretty early every day.
[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, like if my event starts at 10, I'm not waking up at nine and then just rolling down there.
[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I get up way earlier and I make sure that I'm prepared.
[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_01]: If it's not the first day of playing, then I'll make sure to I'll make sure to ice my hands.
[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_01]: My hands hurt if I play a lot.
[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_01]: If I have like three events Thursday, so I'll probably ice my hands that night, wake up in the morning and stick them in some hot water, do some stretches, make sure my hands are good to go because like that's what hurts me.
[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't shoot like real shots like silly like push shot or pull shot that I have to shoot a million of.
[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I shoot a rollover. It doesn't really hurt, but like my hands will physically hurt.
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So I do that if I hurt, make sure I eat and then basically just get a good warm up.
[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, before the event, I like to get down there, get dressed and put my headphones in and do my workout, whatever the workout is that I've been doing that week.
[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of restructure it down and do that.
[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't talk to anybody. I don't really eat on singles day.
[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I just have like a protein shake and then that's it.
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And I just get through the day, but it's just focus.
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I watch film if it's somebody I haven't played in a while and then make my notes on have my piece of paper and go through here and kind of pick like things that I can control that I will control today.
[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Like World's 23 singles plan was breathing, control my breathing.
[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I really got super stressed in some moments and I was like, I'm not even breathing.
[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even taking a breath. Like I gotta chill.
[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So control my breathing, control my body language.
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I keep I walk up there and I'm pouting and Sully is going to beat the mess out of me.
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, like have control something you can control that.
[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_01]: There's certain things like that, I guess.
[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's it's it's intense.
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not fun. I go to sleep early.
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I wake up really early and I stress out the whole time basically.
[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think people understand.
[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Like the rest thing is so big, you know, like for me when I'm done, it's like I know people different for everybody.
[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_04]: I want to play pickup games or hang out or when I'm done, I do this at every tournament for the most part.
[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_04]: It's rare. Sometimes I'll stay and hang out, but it's like I'm done.
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to the room. I go to the room and it's like you're not going to find me playing pickup games.
[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm sorry, but I have so many events at Worlds and like what if I'm playing a pickup game and I reach back
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_01]: and I jam my finger and then I can't play doubles tomorrow with Sully?
[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_01]: That's dumb. Why would you ever find me doing that?
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know, just my world is something I'm going to be doing.
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, and again, as you get older, like for me, and again, we don't even need to talk about Tom, but I need my rest.
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's like I look at Chris, it's like we're done. We go to the room, we'll sit down and we'll talk about matches, right?
[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll go over stuff. And then it's like I get in the shower and I go to bed because it's tomorrow.
[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Like we can't do anything about today, right? We got to figure out what we're going to do tomorrow.
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, I enjoy Worlds for like the competition aspect because everybody comes to Worlds.
[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_04]: They want to win. They want to play good, you know, but it's like I feel like the prep before is almost more important than like,
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, like obviously you want to play well, but it's like if you don't do it right, you're going to get there.
[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_04]: And I mean, you might flop the whole weekend just because you didn't prep right.
[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, so like what about you, Sullivan? What's Worlds when you get there and you get going?
[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Like what do you do? What do you got going on?
[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_00]: It is a different feeling kind of like going to World Cup or Hall of Fame.
[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like those tournaments feel different when you get there in a good way.
[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be getting there Wednesday night, which lately I haven't been able to go so early with school.
[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll hang out for a bit. Right when I get there, I want to go into tournament room and see people.
[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Like that tournaments are really my favorite thing to do ever.
[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I've done it my whole life. So but I really do look forward to it and like I don't care where it is.
[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care about the hotel. I don't care about all this other stuff. I don't care about the format.
[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I just want to go. So I'll go up to my room. I'm like, OK, I'm not even going to unpack.
[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to go down. So I go down and see everyone.
[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I don't know what I think we play classic Thursday. Right.
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll I'll get there probably an hour before the event starts.
[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And on the first day before I play, I noticed that I have to get on the table and do my practice, my home practice on the table because they're different.
[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Even though my table is from Worlds last year, it's still different than the tournament tables and I'll shoot weird or something.
[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll I'll do all my stuff and then I'll shoot probably like a hundred push shots just as fast as I can.
[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Just get used to it, break it in. And that also gets my nerves out.
[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I do have to eat before, so I'll get ready. I'll eat my snacks, listen to music, go down and I feel confident.
[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And especially once I practice, I feel fine.
[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, I want to win everything, but it's really good.
[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_00]: My outlook may be different, but if I win whatever then I play on the first day, I'm fearless going on.
[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_00]: That like, I don't know. That's how I am. And that's good.
[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So my obviously I really want to win Classic, but I'm really going to try like last year Worlds.
[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't usually when I play Classic, I'm like, I don't whatever.
[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But I really want to win and we just won Classic at the World Series.
[00:33:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So it would be cool to win there too.
[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So we try for that and then, okay, now I mean we won one already.
[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So what's there to lose now?
[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Just keep rolling.
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, usually I'll wake up like two hours before.
[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't wake up as early as Hannah because I just cannot.
[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll do my makeup, eat my snacks, get ready, go down, do my warmup.
[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I like to play pickup games too before the tournament starts just to get the speed and catching and everything.
[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So I usually like to play my dad or Hannah mentioned Tommy.
[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_00]: She played with Tommy before and I played a few pickups with Tommy Yor, and that'll get you sharp as well.
[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah.
[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Playing with someone like that.
[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Get a little sweat going for sure.
[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. And I have had to start doing some stretches because all these years have caught up to my shoulder lately.
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm okay now.
[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, finally caught up to me.
[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll do some stretching and I'll take Advil first thing in the morning because I'm already sore after the first day.
[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And I've lately been trying to control my emotions more because I don't get easily like intimidated.
[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Like if I'm down 4-0, I'm not giving up.
[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I know I can come back.
[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not that type of thing.
[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_00]: But if three stupid things happen and I'm just playing doop it, I typically will get really mad.
[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And then it just doesn't work out for me.
[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_00]: But the past few tournaments this year, I feel like I've gotten better at controlling in the game, calling timeouts early, even if I'm up 2-0 or whatever it is.
[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I've called a timeout on 0-0.
[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it doesn't matter every point counts.
[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_00]: So I take them.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I take a walk away, chill out, come back.
[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just because I want to win so bad that they tend to take over.
[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And I've gotten over the whole being embarrassed about crying to lose.
[00:35:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I still cry like I just want it that bad.
[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's embarrassing.
[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I can't control it.
[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_00]: But I just don't let that get to me during the match.
[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't let that kind of emotion creep in during the match anymore.
[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So I really, really try to calm that down.
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's helped.
[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I cry too.
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_04]: I just don't like what he said.
[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_07]: I got to ask you the question after watching your match from the Hall of Fame Classic with U2.
[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_07]: One of the things I noticed about you, Sullivan, was Christina Fuchs was playing goal and she was deeing you up a bit.
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_07]: She took away a couple of crucial shots at first.
[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_07]: I think it was in the first or second game, but she was getting out there near long.
[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_07]: But you came back after a timeout and you must have adjusted.
[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_07]: What happened there and how did you do that?
[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just my head.
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Just your head?
[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that sounds disrespectful, but it's true.
[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And Hannah will even just be like, what are you doing?
[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, just be confident.
[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody can race you.
[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And then, okay, yeah, you're right.
[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_00]: That's just all it takes.
[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry. Go ahead.
[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. You can go.
[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_01]: It's just like in those moments, I think we've played together so many times and we've been down so many times or we've been up so many times.
[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_01]: We've been in the same situation so many times.
[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, you got blocked twice in a row.
[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So what?
[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I know how to say thanks to her so that it motivates her but isn't disrespectful or lets her feel like I'm not confident in her.
[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think the exact same way with me.
[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, shoot the ball more. Stop doing something like whatever.
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But like we really gotten a lot better at how we talk to each other.
[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I know she has a really great job whenever I'm playing goalie and you know, I'm not doing something great.
[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like super bummed and like she's really good at like getting me through that.
[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know.
[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_01]: We're just gotten a lot better with adjustments.
[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not scared to switch.
[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, Sully has zero ego of she needs to be upfront to make the last point.
[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Like there's just no it's none of that dumb stuff really falls in with us or who's the goalie?
[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Who's the forward?
[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_01]: People get so wrapped up whenever they ask us that.
[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like, I don't care who plays any position as long as we're winning.
[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll literally play in a handstand if we'll win.
[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_01]: You told me that when you win, I'll do a handstand the whole time.
[00:37:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't care.
[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know.
[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's really cool.
[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And I know like she's like, oh, I used to be embarrassed about crying.
[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's like that's something like we cried at World Cup, both of us.
[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That they're proud forever.
[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But really this is kind of the thing I've been figuring out is like you can't laugh off a loss.
[00:37:58] [SPEAKER_01]: When you put that much heart into football.
[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's OK, because you know, you can't say we didn't try because we did.
[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like you care about that so much and you have to risk feeling that low in order to enjoy the win when you finally get it.
[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's so much sweeter when you care that much about it.
[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, and also we've been we've had the greatest loss we could possibly have ever had.
[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_00]: We lost World Cup final of women's doubles.
[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_00]: That is the worst loss we could have had.
[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So going forward after that, it's like there's not even that level of anxiety anymore because we were there and we could have won the biggest title ever.
[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like we had that taken away.
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_00]: What could be worse than that?
[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So there's no fear going forward in any event.
[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And that just motivated us like insanely.
[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And we have a whole year to prep for the next one.
[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And we've already been doing that, you know.
[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's like we'll be in moments like, man, a lot of unfortunate stuff's happened.
[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_01]: But we've been in way worse situations like chill.
[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Like we're good, you know, so it builds a lot of character, I think.
[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Yeah. Well, I wanted to.
[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_04]: So bringing up that World Cup loss is actually a question that I had for you and two questions and then a comment.
[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_04]: So there was an incident in Mississippi where I saw you and you had gotten a little upset.
[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_04]: And I really kind of thought about it after and I I was going to say something to you at Worlds, but I've got you here.
[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's like you two again, you guys are such a good team.
[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_04]: You're so tough and you know, you're both exceptional players.
[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like people are going to do things to get you upset in order to get in your head to try to beat you.
[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's like there are certain things you can do on the table and then there are certain things you can do off the table to try to get into somebody's head.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, I just feel like mental toughness is something that I guess I guess it's something you can learn to develop.
[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Right. For for some people, I feel like you either have it or you don't.
[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, because I know some people who've been playing this game for 30 years at a high level, but their their their mental acuity is, you know, it's not very high and it's what holds them back.
[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_04]: But again, to be a championship caliber team, you have to be pretty mentally tough.
[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_04]: But, you know, I feel like for you to specifically just, you know, kind of shrugging stuff off and it's I'm just some guy saying that I know, like I said, I've never been in the same position as you two.
[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_04]: But that was just one thing that I felt like I kind of wanted to tell you to tell you both like, you know, people are going to some people do dirty stuff to win.
[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's it's unfortunate. But second question. Well, first question you say snacks. What do you eat? What are your snacks?
[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Don't reveal the secrets.
[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_04]: You don't have to tell us. You don't have to tell us. If it's a secret, you don't have to tell us.
[00:40:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, if anything from anything cheesy, any cheese, V8 but not vegetable V8. It's fruit.
[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_00]: V8 energy. It's fruit flavor. V8 is disgusting. It's fruit flavor.
[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_04]: So that makes it OK. Yes. It tastes like juice. Yeah. I'll take your word for it. You haven't had the V8.
[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Macaroni's. Jelly, I mean gummy worms.
[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Sour candies from Hannah. So you just get hyped up on sugar. You know what else tastes like juice? Juice.
[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but it's like a little energy. OK. All right. Yeah.
[00:41:37] [SPEAKER_04]: So basically you just get all jacked up on Mountain Dew and go buck one. Yeah, I see junk the whole time.
[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Mountain Dew. Yeah. And I'll eat like chicken nuggets probably.
[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Hannah knows what I'm talking about. Yeah. So OK.
[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_04]: So this was another thing because I watched that World Cup and that, you know, that match.
[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_04]: It was a great match. It was a heartbreaking loss. But one thing that I noticed, especially like you, Sullivan,
[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_04]: like you were recoiling aggressively, aggressively in the team play and doubles.
[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_04]: So was there like, was that a conversation that was had? Like, hey, you you recoil everything.
[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Go buck wild. Bang the rods. Like, was that a conversation that was had or were you just so hyped up that every time you.
[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember her doing ever. It's like allegedly she recalled.
[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I've never allegedly I thought I saw it on video. I saw it on video.
[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like scoring and then just being like you would score and then go and then go like this.
[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, oh yeah. Oh, the rod. Like, was it?
[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Your little skirts kind of went like that.
[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Your hair went like that and you threw the rod. Was it was it a plan?
[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, no, no. That was pure. OK.
[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Adrenaline. Yes. But so many people overseas have so much to say about me all the time that I'm a bad sport,
[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_00]: that I'm this and that because because of the recoil.
[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Really? Because of that. Yes. Is it is it French Banzai?
[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_00]: They think that I'm disrespectful because of it. Oh, and there has been videos of me posted from World Cup
[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_00]: in a Facebook group of a bunch of foreign men making fun of me, saying I'm a sport.
[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I swear. I swear. I don't know.
[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't know until our team, one of our team members for Bears told me before I went to Germany for the Bears thing.
[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Are they coming to Worlds? Are these guys coming to Worlds?
[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure some of them are. We'll see. Yeah.
[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I basically I wasn't doing that on purpose.
[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_00]: I was actually like that hyped up. So I was holding it.
[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_07]: We'll take from the Northeast. We know some people. All right.
[00:43:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, we'll get that taken care of. You know, you know, you know, I'm driving and I have my bag with me.
[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, we can fix it.
[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Just saying. Oh, I'm chiming in.
[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm breaking my hammer too.
[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yes. Don's got it handled.
[00:44:17] [SPEAKER_07]: See, he's got it.
[00:44:19] [SPEAKER_07]: No, it's that's that's ridiculous.
[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Why would they do that, especially in social media?
[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_07]: That just seems so cowardly. That's cowardly to do that.
[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_05]: And French.
[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. And speaking of like the mental thing that you were talking about,
[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_00]: that's where it came into play because it definitely could have gotten into my head.
[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And it did. It did in a good way because I know the situation you were talking about,
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Randy, about from Mississippi State.
[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that was just totally situational and with who was on the other side shouldn't have happened.
[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm talking about with emotions, because usually when things happen
[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_00]: and I know people are trying to get into my head, it works better every time.
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_00]: But that one, it works better for me and for World Cup or even things like that.
[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_00]: It I like it. I like all the people cheering against me.
[00:45:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Nice. Like when people start running their mouth, like it works for me.
[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_01]: All the greats like it. You know, I heard other people really great at baseball say the same thing.
[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And I just like, yeah, I mean, kind of locks you in and makes you want it a little bit more
[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_01]: just for those people that don't want you to have it.
[00:45:32] [SPEAKER_07]: You get that for sure. Well, that's and it's you know what?
[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Sometimes you need to find other other ways to motivate yourself.
[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_07]: And that would be a great one. Yeah. Take that negative and turn it positive.
[00:45:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I watched Foosballers again last night just because I'm going to Worlds and I just enjoy the movie.
[00:45:52] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a really good movie. If nobody's inspirational, definitely check it out.
[00:45:55] [SPEAKER_04]: But there was a line where Todd, it was like before the finals and Todd was like,
[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_04]: too many people want me to win. He's like, yeah, he's like when people when people root against me and boo me,
[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_04]: he said it's just so motivating and I always play better like that.
[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_04]: So like you said, like all all the best players love that stuff. They love it.
[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I've seen Cindy. I've seen video of Cindy where the whole crowd is rooting against her
[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_04]: and she's scoring and just looking at him like, oh, yeah, but he's cheering for me.
[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I know. I've seen that. Yeah, I love it. I love it.
[00:46:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go. Yeah. Roll Tide. Let's go. It's a different experience.
[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, World Cup because you've got so many people in the stands.
[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_07]: It's so noisy. It's so loud. It's so different.
[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, the first time you experienced that, how old were you when you went to World Cup Sullivan?
[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_07]: The first time. What was your age? I went to.
[00:46:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So my first World Cup, I went for the junior team and I was probably like
[00:46:50] [SPEAKER_00]: 13 over 13. Wow. Yeah. So World Cup is by far my favorite event,
[00:47:00] [SPEAKER_00]: which I don't think that would be surprising, but it's so overwhelming in a good way.
[00:47:05] [SPEAKER_00]: The stadium's huge. The seats go all the way up and whenever they're filled, it's insane.
[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And then my next World Cup, I was 16. I chose to play the women's team.
[00:47:18] [SPEAKER_00]: We won that year. It was very overwhelming once again.
[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And then this past year we had it was in France or two years ago,
[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_00]: and they actually took a field trip for all the little kids.
[00:47:30] [SPEAKER_00]: All these French children come, thousands of them full.
[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_00]: They're like all of the seats are full of kids screaming.
[00:47:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Can you sign my shoes? Can you sign this? Can you sign this?
[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's like it's what it should be like here. Yes.
[00:47:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's just an amazing experience. It's crazy.
[00:47:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I actually have a video of all them kids and they're screaming.
[00:47:58] [SPEAKER_02]: They had over 4,000 kids come through on field trip and it was packed.
[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And my wife grabbed her phone says, Oh, my goodness, this I got to record this.
[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And she recorded it. And it's like that is just unbelievable.
[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Over over 4,000 future Bonzini cheaters.
[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Whoa, that comes from the heart, doesn't it? Randy from the heart.
[00:48:23] [SPEAKER_04]: That's how I always speak, Tom.
[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, that that reminds me, I mean, you know,
[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_07]: the ITSF did their first ever event in America this year.
[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Generally speaking, it seemed like people were having fun.
[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Hannah, how did you feel about that?
[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_01]: A great time at the event.
[00:48:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I know it's a lot different than what other people are used to,
[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_01]: but I think it's really, really great prep for something as serious as World Cup
[00:48:50] [SPEAKER_01]: because like I really like the idea like day one we show up,
[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_01]: we got to play classic. You're going to play classic all day.
[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's me and Silly playing classic and you know what you're going to do.
[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You have a plan. And then by the end of the day, it's over.
[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_01]: But you had qualifying rounds to know who like played the best,
[00:49:08] [SPEAKER_01]: how your seeds match up, this and that.
[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it could have been done a little bit differently with like qualifiers.
[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Like if you're the number one seed,
[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_01]: you shouldn't have to play the number two seed in a qualifier.
[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_01]: That should be split a little different.
[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_01]: But but like overall, I loved it.
[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I love that this event plays today. I can focus on this one event.
[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I loved I love that.
[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's it's rounds. You get to play multiple rounds.
[00:49:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Play a ton of foosball. Yeah, I just really liked it a lot.
[00:49:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I like the coral software.
[00:49:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I've always liked coral software because, you know, we used it a lot for the bears over there when we play like ECL.
[00:49:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. And it's really cool once you get into it.
[00:49:45] [SPEAKER_01]: But I haven't been blamed. I thought it was nice. I had fun.
[00:49:49] [SPEAKER_07]: So how about you? What did you think about it?
[00:49:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I loved it. It was it is reminiscent of World Cup.
[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's really nice and the big banners.
[00:50:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I love things like that.
[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Not I guess not flashy, but just feels really official and it gets you in the competitive mood.
[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_00]: So I really like that. I really liked how they did awards at the end of the day or for whatever the next day.
[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_00]: That was really cool. Right.
[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I like the format.
[00:50:21] [SPEAKER_00]: You get to warm up with however many qualifying rounds and you're ready to go by the time you have to play elimination.
[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_00]: You're very warmed up, not even really worried about it at that point.
[00:50:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_07]: And it seems that there is room in the schedule for at least one of those events a year.
[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_07]: I think most of us are in agreement that that would be something to look forward to.
[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And like Celia and I talked about it last maybe last year.
[00:50:48] [SPEAKER_01]: There was like nothing going on like June or July.
[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So we were like, what are we going to play foosball again?
[00:50:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Like we have two months and it's like summer and you're free and you have more free time.
[00:50:56] [SPEAKER_01]: What are we going to do? So we just went to Europe last year.
[00:50:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But like I definitely think there's room in the schedule for something like that.
[00:51:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, you know, at a different date than it was this past year.
[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_01]: But right. I'm cool with whatever.
[00:51:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a cool idea.
[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Very cool. Don.
[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_02]: As a matter of fact, I had a meeting with Fareed last week and he told me as soon as the tornado championships are over,
[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_02]: we're going to start planning on the 2025 World Series.
[00:51:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Nice. Very cool.
[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's not going to be close to the Bonzini World Championship like it was last year.
[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Awesome. Yeah, that'll make a difference.
[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_07]: More competitive players from Europe, obviously.
[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_07]: Although there was a competitor we talk about a lot who came from Austria who's 17 years of age who was tearing things up.
[00:51:42] [SPEAKER_07]: So plenty of competition.
[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, it will be interesting to see how many more players can show up from Europe.
[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I heard he's going to be at Worlds too.
[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_05]: He will.
[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Is he?
[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Him and his brother.
[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know, he's he's he's really good.
[00:51:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And that and that brings up something that jumped on Facebook the other day is is is I'm not going to call any names,
[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_02]: but somebody was making a comment about how they don't think pros or our masters are good players that are juniors should play in the junior events.
[00:52:09] [SPEAKER_02]: That's that's that's not how it is on the big pitchers.
[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_02]: The big picture is for the juniors under the age of 19.
[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_02]: The other countries are going to do it.
[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And if we don't if we don't do it, they're going to get smoked when it comes time to play.
[00:52:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, our kids get better.
[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you do get your best players.
[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that kid come over here and be Ryan.
[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_02]: He beat Tony.
[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_02]: And the only person really who handled him was Tommy.
[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_02]: You're and that kid's good.
[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_02]: He was exhausted.
[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I said, dude, you just woke some people up this weekend, bro.
[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I said, you have made a statement.
[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I said in years and years so young, there's plenty more to come.
[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_04]: You know what?
[00:52:46] [SPEAKER_04]: What's he going to be?
[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_04]: What's he going to be rated at Worlds, Mr. Donald?
[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Pro?
[00:52:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, he should be master.
[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be a pro.
[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_05]: OK, of course he is.
[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:52:56] [SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
[00:52:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And that was another thing.
[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_02]: People have been private masters me and call me and all this kind of stuff.
[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, what are you going to rate people from overseas?
[00:53:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the flyers always says unranked players from overseas are going to start at
[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_02]: expert.
[00:53:12] [SPEAKER_02]: But that's if we don't know anything about them.
[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I have access to stuff since I'm the president of USC.
[00:53:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So I can look up past tournaments.
[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I can look up rankings.
[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And so and a better more also takes care of ranking the international players.
[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And so we know the ones that come in as should be or should be, you know,
[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_02]: pro.
[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_02]: So that's going to help us out, you know, with people not coming in there and
[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_02]: playing in lower divisions trying to wipe out everything like that.
[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, that would apply to some of the Canadians as well.
[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Which we've seen.
[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, even though they're not overseas, it does apply to them as well.
[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_02]: We had some last year that tried to come in and said, I'm a beginner.
[00:53:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I said, well, first of all, if you're coming into an event and you're
[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_02]: not a beginner, you're not going to be able to get that information out.
[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, we've seen how current it gets put out, but you have to,
[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_02]: you have to let us know a month in advance that we have time to
[00:54:07] [SPEAKER_02]: research because if you come to the tournament,
[00:54:09] [SPEAKER_02]: we're not letting you sign up anything below an expert, you know,
[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_02]: because we can't, you know, that it would be fair, you know,
[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_02]: for everybody, you know,
[00:54:18] [SPEAKER_02]: it might not seem good for those players if they truly are
[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_02]: beginners.
[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_02]: But if they're a beginner, truly beginner, and I know they are,
[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_02]: they would contact us a month in advance and get that article pre-arranged.
[00:54:28] [SPEAKER_02]: And we do take advice of local promoters.
[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_02]: So far we haven't been burned by any promoters when they actually say,
[00:54:34] [SPEAKER_02]: hey, this person is that.
[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I know Brandon Munoz told me several players,
[00:54:39] [SPEAKER_02]: you hear our GPS telling us which way to go.
[00:54:41] [SPEAKER_02]: We're somewhere on up north on 65.
[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_05]: But anyway,
[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Brandon told me some players and he,
[00:54:52] [SPEAKER_02]: and I ran from that and I did watch them play and he was truthful.
[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's what they were ranked.
[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, those are the way they turn left.
[00:55:02] [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, that's, that's you'd be going the wrong way.
[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm self helping addicts navigate.
[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_02]: But anyway,
[00:55:11] [SPEAKER_02]: that, that, that,
[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_02]: and that was something that Hannah had discussed before.
[00:55:15] [SPEAKER_02]: And I imagine Solomon,
[00:55:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming through that, you know,
[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_02]: if we could get the,
[00:55:22] [SPEAKER_02]: the ranking system unified and,
[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_02]: and worked out to where speeding is correct because these girls play all
[00:55:30] [SPEAKER_02]: the time.
[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_02]: They get their points, they get seated,
[00:55:33] [SPEAKER_02]: but the ones overseas don't come over here and they don't rank up.
[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_02]: And you might have them run across them in like the second or third
[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_02]: round. Now how fair is that?
[00:55:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You know,
[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_02]: so,
[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_02]: you know,
[00:55:44] [SPEAKER_02]: we do take that into consideration to see because I think when Miley and
[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Tray is it Miley and Tray,
[00:55:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_02]: When she come over,
[00:55:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, she was unrated,
[00:55:53] [SPEAKER_02]: but there's no way she's a pro.
[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_02]: There's no way she's a female pro or female expert.
[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_02]: She's a female master.
[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, she,
[00:56:01] [SPEAKER_02]: she won the previous women's singles at the world cup.
[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that was, was that Spain or was that France?
[00:56:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I was France.
[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_02]: France.
[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_02]: So there's no reason she's the top player in the world.
[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_02]: She should be able to come in here as no pro.
[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_04]: What are you talking about?
[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_04]: What are you talking about?
[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Lynn?
[00:56:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_04]: She won men's,
[00:56:22] [SPEAKER_04]: she won men's pro singles at the Hall of Fame.
[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I know.
[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not talking about,
[00:56:26] [SPEAKER_02]: and that's just what I'm talking about,
[00:56:27] [SPEAKER_02]: but her points were real low in women because she hadn't played over
[00:56:31] [SPEAKER_02]: here.
[00:56:31] [SPEAKER_02]: So we have to take that consideration.
[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Somebody overseas comes over and that's why we look at,
[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_02]: at what the results are.
[00:56:39] [SPEAKER_02]: We look at what they do,
[00:56:40] [SPEAKER_02]: what they're rated locally.
[00:56:41] [SPEAKER_02]: And then we apply it on the tour.
[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_02]: But you know,
[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_02]: with these girls playing every month or every other weekend,
[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_02]: their points go up, up, up, up, up.
[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And there's don't, you know, so that's,
[00:56:51] [SPEAKER_02]: that's why it's kind of difficult.
[00:56:53] [SPEAKER_02]: All the seeding process.
[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And I wish there was an easy way to fix it.
[00:56:57] [SPEAKER_02]: But,
[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_02]: you know,
[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_02]: it's always a work in progress.
[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_02]: But Tom,
[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_02]: when you asked me something earlier about what to expect at this
[00:57:05] [SPEAKER_02]: year worlds,
[00:57:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I did forget to mention,
[00:57:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I did forget to mention something.
[00:57:09] [SPEAKER_02]: And this has been long overdue.
[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_02]: We've been lax on it way too long is we say on the flyer that events
[00:57:15] [SPEAKER_02]: close one hour in advance.
[00:57:18] [SPEAKER_02]: And we've been letting people sign up as late as 15 minutes before.
[00:57:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And we cannot do that anymore if we want to run a proficient
[00:57:27] [SPEAKER_02]: tournament.
[00:57:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:57:28] [SPEAKER_02]: But we say entries close an hour in advance is going to close.
[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:57:33] [SPEAKER_02]: No exceptions.
[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody knows well,
[00:57:35] [SPEAKER_02]: everybody knows well in advance when the tournament is,
[00:57:38] [SPEAKER_02]: it actually makes us go past our start times with somebody's up
[00:57:41] [SPEAKER_02]: there trying to dish money out of pocket.
[00:57:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to play because we feel bad, man.
[00:57:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I want you to play.
[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I like to get you in there,
[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_02]: but you know what we're stopping at an hour before we're even going
[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_02]: to draw up the brackets after we stop interest.
[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to draw the bracket up.
[00:57:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
[00:57:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're already going to put,
[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_02]: we're already going to put the times on the brackets when the
[00:58:01] [SPEAKER_02]: finals are going to be.
[00:58:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And when Sammy finals are going to be in quarter finals,
[00:58:06] [SPEAKER_02]: right?
[00:58:06] [SPEAKER_02]: That's going to take a lot of work on it,
[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_02]: but we're trying to get it more proficient more where everybody knows.
[00:58:11] [SPEAKER_02]: They'll know they have time to go take a food break or bathroom break or
[00:58:14] [SPEAKER_02]: something like that.
[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_02]: So, you know,
[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_02]: trying to make it the best experience possible.
[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're starting this weekend.
[00:58:22] [SPEAKER_02]: So if you're listening to me on the radio,
[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_02]: sign up online, pay online,
[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_02]: because at the tournament one hour before the event starts,
[00:58:31] [SPEAKER_02]: no entries are going to be allowed.
[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to accept would be one of the no conflict draws,
[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_02]: but that's a different ball game.
[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:58:38] [SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, that is something that's definitely changing.
[00:58:41] [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have verifiers are going to be in a different
[00:58:43] [SPEAKER_02]: location.
[00:58:44] [SPEAKER_02]: The setup for the ball room is going to be totally new.
[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of excited because I don't even know what it's going to
[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_02]: be like.
[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's going to be, it's going to be super great.
[00:58:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And Tom, we hope you do come bring your stuff.
[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh yeah.
[00:58:56] [SPEAKER_07]: I'll be there.
[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_02]: We won't be able to put you by the pits this time,
[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_02]: but we'll find some place for you.
[00:59:01] [SPEAKER_07]: No, it's a, as long as I can, you know, just, just, you know,
[00:59:04] [SPEAKER_07]: find a plug to plug in my stuff.
[00:59:06] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm good wherever, you know, the hallway, men's bathroom.
[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_07]: You know,
[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_07]: but what whatever, whatever happens, happens.
[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_07]: No, I'm good with that.
[00:59:15] [SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, Don, we're looking forward to it and man,
[00:59:18] [SPEAKER_07]: I hope you guys drive safe.
[00:59:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Absolutely.
[00:59:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Get there in one piece, but we do appreciate you jumping on.
[00:59:26] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:59:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know what?
[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_02]: That's my cue to get out of here and let y'all finish up.
[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And ladies, I've been entertained hearing y'all tonight.
[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Me and Mark, we really enjoyed hearing what y'all have to say.
[00:59:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I've kind of heard that Tom and Randy didn't ask what my world's
[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_02]: warmup is.
[00:59:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You know,
[00:59:44] [SPEAKER_04]: We already know what it is.
[00:59:45] [SPEAKER_04]: It's Kentucky Fried Chicken with Mark.
[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_04]: We know.
[00:59:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, first,
[00:59:52] [SPEAKER_02]: well, let me, let me tell you here's,
[00:59:54] [SPEAKER_02]: here's my warmup schedule from my last tournament to this
[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_02]: tournament.
[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_02]: My last practice was at Mississippi State.
[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no.
[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait a minute.
[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I got a new cover for my table and I did practice for about 10
[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_02]: minutes about two weeks ago.
[01:00:10] [SPEAKER_02]: But see, that's the thing.
[01:00:12] [SPEAKER_02]: These girls put the time in,
[01:00:14] [SPEAKER_02]: the dedication and practicing and that's why they're kicking butt.
[01:00:18] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I enjoy foosball.
[01:00:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I love to win,
[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_02]: but I just can't put the dedication in like everybody else does,
[01:00:25] [SPEAKER_02]: but I'm happy and I enjoy foosball.
[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, win or lose.
[01:00:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I have fun.
[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_02]: And then my warmup at world is putting the stage together,
[01:00:36] [SPEAKER_02]: doing the pipe draping and hanging up stuff all around.
[01:00:43] [SPEAKER_02]: That Vegas for everything.
[01:00:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Except for when everybody shows up.
[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_02]: That's my exciting part of the startup of the tournament.
[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_02]: The rest is just all great.
[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And we, we appreciate it.
[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_07]: We're grateful.
[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_07]: We appreciate it.
[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_07]: No question about it.
[01:00:55] [SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't happen without you.
[01:00:56] [SPEAKER_04]: So that's it.
[01:00:57] [SPEAKER_04]: We, we, we thank you for all that you do.
[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, you know,
[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_04]: you're one of my favorite people on tour, Mr.
[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Donald.
[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_04]: I always appreciate it.
[01:01:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate it.
[01:01:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate it.
[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm just to get off there.
[01:01:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's go finish.
[01:01:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
[01:01:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Mark.
[01:01:09] [SPEAKER_02]: You're appreciated.
[01:01:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, Mark.
[01:01:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Mr.
[01:01:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Daisy to you.
[01:01:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway,
[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_02]: we're thinking about doing a reality TV show because boy,
[01:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: we got jokes.
[01:01:20] [SPEAKER_02]: You know,
[01:01:20] [SPEAKER_02]: we go for days.
[01:01:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk anyway.
[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Good talking to y'all.
[01:01:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:01:25] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll see y'all at the tornado championships.
[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Y'all be safe.
[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm out of here.
[01:01:30] [SPEAKER_02]: See you.
[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_02]: See you.
[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for being on.
[01:01:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Tom.
[01:01:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll call you tomorrow.
[01:01:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Sounds good, man.
[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm looking forward to it.
[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_07]: All right.
[01:01:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Well guys,
[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_07]: you know,
[01:01:41] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm intrigued because he did hint that there's something
[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_07]: different this year that he can't divulge at this point.
[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_07]: What could it possibly be?
[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
[01:01:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Just kind of curious.
[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_07]: So I got to ask you guys the question.
[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Here we go.
[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_07]: We've got World Cup coming up in 2025.
[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_07]: And clearly the two of you are going to make the team.
[01:02:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Sullivan,
[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_07]: what are you going to do when you get there?
[01:02:09] [SPEAKER_07]: What's your game plan to start with?
[01:02:12] [SPEAKER_00]: For World Cup?
[01:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: My game plan is to win everything.
[01:02:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[01:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: We're coming for it all.
[01:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: We're coming for it all.
[01:02:22] [SPEAKER_06]: The whole thing.
[01:02:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sir.
[01:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: We've got some
[01:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: making up to do.
[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah,
[01:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll probably be the most motivated,
[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: which is good that something good came from our loss.
[01:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: That were definitely the most motivated to win.
[01:02:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Getting there.
[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I usually am really,
[01:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: really nervous actually.
[01:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Like really nervous.
[01:02:50] [SPEAKER_00]: For the team event,
[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not super nervous just because we have a lot.
[01:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: We have pretty stacked lady players and it's not just you.
[01:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I never feel too nervous with the team event,
[01:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: but more about the singles day.
[01:03:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I think I feel most nervous about singles actually.
[01:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Like in doubles when me and Hannah played,
[01:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't nervous actually.
[01:03:13] [SPEAKER_00]: I just kind of knew it was going to work out.
[01:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And we should have won the final.
[01:03:20] [SPEAKER_00]: The last game,
[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: it just did not go our way at all.
[01:03:24] [SPEAKER_00]: But I still was confident.
[01:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I wasn't worried about it and I shouldn't have been worried about it.
[01:03:28] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not that we got trampled.
[01:03:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it was in our hands.
[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_00]: But for singles,
[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I'd like the qualifying rounds because that's where I get my nerves out
[01:03:38] [SPEAKER_00]: because I'm so nervous.
[01:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And you don't know a lot of these people.
[01:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, coming into it now,
[01:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of more like I know a lot more women players,
[01:03:46] [SPEAKER_00]: but you do not know these people.
[01:03:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I think I lost in the semifinals last year.
[01:03:52] [SPEAKER_00]: You can play someone that you've never seen before and they're pretty good.
[01:03:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You just have no idea what they're going to do.
[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_00]: And that person may do the same exact thing at their tournaments.
[01:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And everyone knows this person does this and I'll never give it to them.
[01:04:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea.
[01:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's that is frustrating and it's hard to overcome that.
[01:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: But I just go into it and I do not let any ball be wasted at all.
[01:04:22] [SPEAKER_00]: That's just kind of my goal.
[01:04:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't waste a single ball.
[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And for qualifying rounds, I try to win.
[01:04:28] [SPEAKER_00]: What is it?
[01:04:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Seven point race to seven.
[01:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think so.
[01:04:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I try to win whatever.
[01:04:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I try not to lose one point.
[01:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I play as hard as I can in those rounds, but I do.
[01:04:42] [SPEAKER_00]: It is hard to warm up because everyone's trying to warm up.
[01:04:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So that process is a little bit different and I tend to not warm up on tornado as much.
[01:04:51] [SPEAKER_00]: That's just my choice because I'm really confident on tornado.
[01:04:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'd rather warm up on the other tables.
[01:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And so it is kind of hard to find places to warm up.
[01:05:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So you don't get as much time.
[01:05:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And since you have a team of USA players, it's usually not single warming up time.
[01:05:15] [SPEAKER_00]: It's everyone playing against each other, which is good and bad.
[01:05:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And for matches, since you're going game like one game on this table, one game on that table, that's difficult too.
[01:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you can just hit a few balls by yourself before that match on each table, that has got to be good enough basically.
[01:05:38] [SPEAKER_07]: And Hannah, how about yourself?
[01:05:40] [SPEAKER_07]: What's going to be your focus before you get there?
[01:05:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Cup? Definitely watch some film.
[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It's no secret that when we come there, everybody knows us.
[01:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: They've seen us play and they know our games.
[01:05:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And last year I didn't know what I was getting into with World Cup.
[01:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It was my first one.
[01:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So it was like, OK, singles.
[01:06:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Who do I have to play?
[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, cool.
[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll go play.
[01:06:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I had no idea if they were good, if they were the number one country singles player for their country or what I was really getting myself into.
[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: So like Sully said, you really go into it with all of your firepower.
[01:06:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm trying to crush you 8-0 every round because you don't know if you're going up against someone who is the number one who won last year.
[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know anybody, but now I do.
[01:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm definitely going to be prepared on every table.
[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been playing a ton of multi-table ever since we lost.
[01:06:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been playing a ton of Bonzini.
[01:06:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I will not lose again because of the issues that we lost on Bonzini.
[01:06:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I made that promise to Sully.
[01:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I made that promise to myself.
[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's just not going to happen again.
[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So I've been putting in a ton of table time.
[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I will put in a ton of table time.
[01:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: We've been going to Europe, Sully and I, playing these girls, playing against them, playing with them, playing on their tables, trying to figure out, you know, what's the best way to beat this girl?
[01:06:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Or whatever.
[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But we put a lot of work in.
[01:06:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I plan to get there a couple days early, of course.
[01:06:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm really hoping my mom gets to come to World Cup because I feel like she just missed such a cool tournament because it's so much fun.
[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And getting there, getting locked in, getting in your hotel, figuring out what you're going to eat every day, getting a plan, schedule and then go and crushing everybody and stepping on necks and just bringing things down all through World Cup.
[01:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm going to go and be in Lily's wedding.
[01:07:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we can after.
[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to go see some cool countries and stuff after we absolutely crush them in World Cup.
[01:07:31] [SPEAKER_01]: In order.
[01:07:32] [SPEAKER_01]: We have to worry in order.
[01:07:33] [SPEAKER_07]: Bring an extra supply of jerseys this year because you know, be able to trade with other countries.
[01:07:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
[01:07:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we trade.
[01:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I sell mine away.
[01:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
[01:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I have like two or maybe yours as well.
[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: It's so fun to do that.
[01:07:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Like just that experience in itself is crazy.
[01:07:48] [SPEAKER_00]: The whole the whole tournament prep every day is so different than here.
[01:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we had to walk from our hotel to the arena or whatever.
[01:07:58] [SPEAKER_00]: We had to walk to that like in the morning.
[01:08:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So you're walking by yourself.
[01:08:03] [SPEAKER_00]: You're in another country.
[01:08:05] [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of like it's weird.
[01:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You walk in, all the tables are full.
[01:08:07] [SPEAKER_00]: You don't know anyone.
[01:08:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like I said, we know more people now, but you can't just go up and warm up with these people like it's kind of the same language.
[01:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh yeah, no, I'm up here.
[01:08:19] [SPEAKER_00]: They're just like, yeah, no, I got to know what you're saying.
[01:08:23] [SPEAKER_00]: You kind of get a you can kind of read what people are trying to say.
[01:08:27] [SPEAKER_00]: But what's funny is most people speak English.
[01:08:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So you can have three people that all speak a different language, but they're going to talk in English.
[01:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's good for us at least.
[01:08:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Like everyone speaks English.
[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: We just don't speak any else yet.
[01:08:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Yet.
[01:08:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Working on it.
[01:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: But like she said, like the World Cup last year for me was like wake up really early.
[01:08:51] [SPEAKER_01]: That's just my thing.
[01:08:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Get dressed, go down to breakfast, eat like four grown men's worth of breakfast.
[01:08:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I ate like a full grown man at breakfast and then like then you're leaving the hotel.
[01:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: You go up and get cute and like you're walking out and you like have this like cute little walk.
[01:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not very long.
[01:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: The weather is perfect.
[01:09:08] [SPEAKER_01]: You're walking with your team like I was with Sally and Keisha and Bracklin like most of every time we walked over there.
[01:09:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And then you see this like big black and red like super hardcore arena that you're like walking up to this venue.
[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_01]: They got the country's flags out in the front and it's just like, wow, man, like we're here.
[01:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Like so it's just so nostalgic and like gives me chills just thinking about it.
[01:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know what it'll be like, but I really hope it's somewhat like that because it was just such a cool set up for me.
[01:09:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll say every World Cup was super cool.
[01:09:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I've been to three so three different locations and they've all felt the same to me.
[01:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: They all look different, but they all give me the same feeling inside.
[01:09:49] [SPEAKER_00]: So I feel really excited in Spain's really cool.
[01:09:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I think it'll be a lot of fun.
[01:09:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm really excited.
[01:09:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's exciting.
[01:09:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm actually learning to speak Cantonese because I feel like the people at the nail salon are talking about me while I'm there.
[01:10:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Definitely.
[01:10:05] [SPEAKER_01]: They are.
[01:10:07] [SPEAKER_01]: The ones that translate for you.
[01:10:09] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I just yell at them.
[01:10:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like English, speak English.
[01:10:12] [SPEAKER_04]: And they go English?
[01:10:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, no, I do.
[01:10:15] [SPEAKER_04]: You asked my wife.
[01:10:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I did it today.
[01:10:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like what the hell?
[01:10:18] [SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, I mean so what are you hearing?
[01:10:21] [SPEAKER_04]: German, French, everything, right?
[01:10:23] [SPEAKER_04]: You're hearing everything.
[01:10:24] [SPEAKER_00]: There are so many countries.
[01:10:26] [SPEAKER_00]: There's so many different countries that go.
[01:10:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Even one man, I don't remember what country it was from, but they only had one guy come from that country.
[01:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And they do have the ceremony where they bring out the whole team from that country.
[01:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: They hold the flag and they play a song.
[01:10:43] [SPEAKER_04]: It was just him holding a flag.
[01:10:45] [SPEAKER_04]: It was, it was just me.
[01:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember that, Anna?
[01:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember where that came from.
[01:10:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It was like the first time that anybody from his country had ever been like, your country had been recognized as a sport for World Cup or something technical like that.
[01:11:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But it was super, we were all super loud cheering for him.
[01:11:03] [SPEAKER_07]: That's right.
[01:11:03] [SPEAKER_04]: He was the first guy to ever leave his country.
[01:11:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, right.
[01:11:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Was it Luxembourg or what was the other one?
[01:11:10] [SPEAKER_07]: There's another one that's really, really tiny.
[01:11:12] [SPEAKER_07]: I've forgotten the name of it now.
[01:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: No, Luxembourg has a great team.
[01:11:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I'm on them.
[01:11:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Their men's team is stacked.
[01:11:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Interesting.
[01:11:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[01:11:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Like half the country decides to play foosball.
[01:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, basically.
[01:11:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like Costa Rica too.
[01:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Costa Rica is super small, but man look at the players come out.
[01:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I wish we had that here.
[01:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I really do.
[01:11:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I wish we had that here.
[01:11:37] [SPEAKER_07]: It hurts my feelings.
[01:11:38] [SPEAKER_07]: I think that this whole trend of the ITSF coming to the states is really a huge kick in the ass.
[01:11:44] [SPEAKER_07]: It's just great.
[01:11:45] [SPEAKER_04]: That's what I wanted to ask Mr. Donald if they had a location or if they, you know, something set up for next year because I'd love, again, that's, I regret not going.
[01:11:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I got married like you know me and had an anniversary.
[01:11:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Do you think it's going to be in Texas again?
[01:11:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be somewhere right in Texas.
[01:12:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, good.
[01:12:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Good.
[01:12:02] [SPEAKER_01]: You wouldn't be like bet on it.
[01:12:04] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I would say.
[01:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't bet?
[01:12:07] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't bet?
[01:12:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Wager?
[01:12:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Wager?
[01:12:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, I hope they do it like Atlanta.
[01:12:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Atlanta is an international hub.
[01:12:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I know Dallas DFW.
[01:12:18] [SPEAKER_04]: I know DFW is an international hub.
[01:12:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Atlanta is one like one of the biggest international airports in the country.
[01:12:23] [SPEAKER_04]: That is true.
[01:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.
[01:12:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Two and a half hours from me.
[01:12:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.
[01:12:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Atlanta, they always lose my damn bags.
[01:12:31] [SPEAKER_07]: What can I tell you?
[01:12:31] [SPEAKER_07]: They do.
[01:12:32] [SPEAKER_04]: They do.
[01:12:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I tell them all the time, lose Tom's bag.
[01:12:37] [SPEAKER_04]: We got it.
[01:12:39] [SPEAKER_04]: We got it.
[01:12:40] [SPEAKER_04]: They got a list of people.
[01:12:41] [SPEAKER_04]: They got a list of people.
[01:12:42] [SPEAKER_04]: We got to lose this guy's bag.
[01:12:44] [SPEAKER_07]: So it's a long bag.
[01:12:45] [SPEAKER_07]: It looks like there's rifles in it.
[01:12:47] [SPEAKER_07]: What can I tell you?
[01:12:48] [SPEAKER_07]: You know.
[01:12:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we don't have to.
[01:12:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, dude, I got a story for you.
[01:12:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll tell you at Worlds.
[01:12:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, man.
[01:12:54] [SPEAKER_04]: So bad.
[01:12:55] [SPEAKER_04]: So bad.
[01:12:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Look, I when I came up a couple of weeks ago, I went to airport jail for the first time.
[01:13:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, oh, I wish I wish that's all it was.
[01:13:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you know, sometimes I'll tell you when I see you.
[01:13:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Just not radio talk stuff, but I'll tell you.
[01:13:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Just a right.
[01:13:22] [SPEAKER_07]: It was a good story.
[01:13:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Just a clue for you, Randy.
[01:13:24] [SPEAKER_07]: The TSA guys don't like it when you try to stab them.
[01:13:27] [SPEAKER_07]: It's just kind of like not their thing.
[01:13:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't do that.
[01:13:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I was trying to get on the plane, Tom.
[01:13:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I ain't shanking nobody up there.
[01:13:34] [SPEAKER_04]: No way.
[01:13:35] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I'll tell you the story.
[01:13:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Not on the air.
[01:13:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, yeah, I was I was like, man, really?
[01:13:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Literally, I like the guy was just like, how much trouble am I in?
[01:13:44] [SPEAKER_04]: He just laughed at me.
[01:13:45] [SPEAKER_04]: He just laughed at me.
[01:13:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I was like, OK, all right, gonna be good.
[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, ladies, three days.
[01:13:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Three days away.
[01:13:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited.
[01:13:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll be there Friday.
[01:13:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll be there Friday.
[01:13:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I can't wait.
[01:14:00] [SPEAKER_04]: But I'm rooting for you guys.
[01:14:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Is there anybody you're worried about?
[01:14:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Or are you guys just like super focused?
[01:14:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Be whoever's in front of you who are.
[01:14:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really think of it that way.
[01:14:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of just play who we play and anyone can get a good lead or just depends on how these people are playing that day.
[01:14:23] [SPEAKER_00]: But I try not to be too worried about it, because.
[01:14:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I know our skills there, it's just we got to use our brains and then we'll be fine.
[01:14:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So if we just if we choose to really use every ball and be smart, then.
[01:14:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not that I'm more confident, you know, obviously there's teams like my mom and Linda.
[01:14:42] [SPEAKER_00]: That's always going to be a tough team.
[01:14:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Isabella and you better always going to be a tough team.
[01:14:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who else is going, so I don't want to leave anyone else out.
[01:14:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I just know those two teams.
[01:14:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Liz and Christina is always a solid team.
[01:14:52] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, so you can't really downplay anyway.
[01:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess like for me, it kind of comes back to the mental toughness thing.
[01:14:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Like Sully and I played so many tournaments together now that we've kind of built our own confidence in each other.
[01:15:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And for me, it's like this tournament, it will not be a factor of mental toughness that impacted by anything.
[01:15:11] [SPEAKER_01]: If you get there and Mary says, guess what, girls, we're going to play one ball for it all.
[01:15:16] [SPEAKER_01]: That's how we're going to play this format.
[01:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying, oh, one ball for it all.
[01:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, all right, let's go.
[01:15:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't care what format we're playing.
[01:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care who we're playing, what day it's on, what time it starts.
[01:15:28] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, I don't care about any of that.
[01:15:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm coming to win and like I'm coming to put my best foot forward in every event.
[01:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And like, I just want to fight till we get it.
[01:15:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And the mental part is controllable.
[01:15:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we've been working on.
[01:15:39] [SPEAKER_01]: So I just I feel really good about it.
[01:15:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I'm not like overconfident, but I'm going to control the things that we can control.
[01:15:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's something that we can control.
[01:15:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, get over it.
[01:15:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't like format too bad.
[01:15:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Get over it.
[01:15:51] [SPEAKER_01]: You got to go play.
[01:15:53] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny looking back from our first worlds because we won.
[01:15:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think once again, I don't want to sound this way, but I don't think we had too much trouble and we were not experienced together at all.
[01:16:08] [SPEAKER_00]: It's so crazy how things change.
[01:16:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we didn't have I don't even remember game planning.
[01:16:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's just so crazy how different it is now than it was when we first won first year.
[01:16:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[01:16:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And like people keep saying like, you know, I'm like, well, it's another one.
[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Me and Sully get to play together.
[01:16:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And like sometimes people are like, I mean, you're just going to max out.
[01:16:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Like you're just going to like together.
[01:16:30] [SPEAKER_01]: You're just going to reach y'all's potential together.
[01:16:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, what?
[01:16:33] [SPEAKER_01]: We literally get better at something every single tournament.
[01:16:36] [SPEAKER_01]: It might not be a leap year, but it's something.
[01:16:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And it could be mental and you might not be able to see it.
[01:16:42] [SPEAKER_01]: But like in my heart, I don't leave a tournament without feeling like we accomplished something.
[01:16:47] [SPEAKER_01]: We did something right.
[01:16:48] [SPEAKER_01]: That's going to help us in the future.
[01:16:51] [SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, I'm really excited about Worlds.
[01:16:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It's super stressful, but it's like I'm not going to let the championship format.
[01:16:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.
[01:16:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm over it.
[01:17:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, like you have to kind of get over some of that thing.
[01:17:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So you wake up.
[01:17:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you don't feel great.
[01:17:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Get over it.
[01:17:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Today's the day.
[01:17:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to happen with or without you.
[01:17:07] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's cool going into it with that mindset versus like a ton of anxiety.
[01:17:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh man, like we got to like do this and make sure that when we play that team, who knows if you're ever going to that team?
[01:17:19] [SPEAKER_01]: They got to get to you and you got to get to them.
[01:17:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah.
[01:17:21] [SPEAKER_04]: You just got to beat who's in front of you.
[01:17:24] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, we're all playing on the same tables with the same balls in the same place at the same.
[01:17:29] [SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, just eliminating any excuses and just just playing your best foosball.
[01:17:34] [SPEAKER_04]: That's really what I want to do.
[01:17:36] [SPEAKER_07]: Who wants it more?
[01:17:37] [SPEAKER_07]: That's what it comes down to.
[01:17:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you guys have all the qualities of a great team, possibly one of the greatest teams of all time.
[01:17:45] [SPEAKER_07]: I was just going to say this is this is historic in the sense that when you forpeat, obviously that's going to be record setting.
[01:17:52] [SPEAKER_07]: But but going down in history of the sport being the greatest team of all time.
[01:17:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Potentially. Potentially.
[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Potentially.
[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, there's there's there's history to be made here, Tom.
[01:18:04] [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm just thankful that you guys were were able to come on tonight and spend some time with us pre-Worlds.
[01:18:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully we can get you back on after Worlds and talk about it.
[01:18:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[01:18:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[01:18:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Or even while we're there if there's any time in the weekend, obviously going to be very focused.
[01:18:22] [SPEAKER_07]: But we don't worry about us.
[01:18:24] [SPEAKER_07]: But we'd certainly love to get to get a shall we say a debrief after this battle?
[01:18:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[01:18:31] [SPEAKER_07]: And by the way, before we go, I just wanted to run down a list of things that may potentially be happening when it comes to other tournaments.
[01:18:40] [SPEAKER_07]: We have things like Rocky Mountain Table Soccer Championships instead of the Colorado State this year.
[01:18:47] [SPEAKER_07]: There's also the Florida State Masters.
[01:18:50] [SPEAKER_07]: And you've got Great Lakes Classic, Virginia State, which is all Bonzini, North Carolina and Louisiana State.
[01:19:00] [SPEAKER_07]: And we can't forget about the Battle on the Bayou.
[01:19:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Any and all of those?
[01:19:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Hannah, any of those you're going to?
[01:19:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I haven't heard about the Rocky Mountain thing.
[01:19:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So depending on dates and what it is and if it's going to replace Colorado.
[01:19:17] [SPEAKER_01]: It is no Colorado State this year.
[01:19:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
[01:19:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I heard in Colorado State, but I didn't know what the plan was for that Rocky Mountain thing.
[01:19:24] [SPEAKER_01]: For me, Louisiana State maybe.
[01:19:28] [SPEAKER_01]: It's duck season.
[01:19:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see if we're on split then probably.
[01:19:31] [SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see.
[01:19:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Louisiana.
[01:19:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Probably not Battle on the Bayou.
[01:19:35] [SPEAKER_01]: That's also I think duck season.
[01:19:38] [SPEAKER_07]: So there we go.
[01:19:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Duck season.
[01:19:41] [SPEAKER_01]: First we got to the softball worlds.
[01:19:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I knew it was something that I was like hard no.
[01:19:45] [SPEAKER_01]: That was it.
[01:19:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Virginia Beach maybe.
[01:19:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Probably not.
[01:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not super well versed in Virginia, but maybe.
[01:19:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't know.
[01:19:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Haven't really checked out anything.
