[00:00:01] [SPEAKER_03]: The following is a presentation of Foosball Radio.
[00:00:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It's FoosTalk Live.
[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_03]: You talking to me?
[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Compelling and lively banter.
[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you gonna talk to us?
[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Talking Foosball.
[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Foosball was how I measured my value as a man.
[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: You took that away!
[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Players and fans, promoters and pros, unedited and raw.
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Talk, talk, talk.
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Living in the moment.
[00:00:23] [SPEAKER_03]: We have a lot of important things to talk about.
[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_03]: All while practicing social distancing.
[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Cool, we'll talk. No big work.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Tonight on FoosTalk Live, Part 2 of the Michael Stahl interview.
[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And incidentally in less than a week we're all going to be gathered together at the Great Lakes Classic.
[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise known as Michigan State.
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have some great times you never know who we're going to run into.
[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_03]: So Randy and I will be hanging out and do some playing.
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Hope to see you on the table, but also doing some live broadcasting from the Great Lakes Classic.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Looking forward to it.
[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And now I present to you the second half of the full interview of Michael Stahl Jr. from Michigan State.
[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's true. It's true.
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just excited to see where Foosball goes this next couple years.
[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And as far as the nonprofit Foosball Clubs USA, I just want to see kids go through this program and kind of be impacted by it.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Kind of like how I was.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I had a table in my high school.
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_05]: In 11th grade I had a Foosball Club before Foosball Clubs existed.
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_05]: And all my friends saw me play and I was the cool kid.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Man, I went to France when I was 16 when I came back.
[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_05]: There was a big banner.
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I went from zero to hero because of Foosball.
[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I was the most truant kid in high school or I'm sorry, eighth grade.
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_05]: The principal when I went from upper middle school to high school, they emailed the other principal and was like, dude, watch out for this guy.
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_05]: He's terrible.
[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_05]: He's the most truant kid.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_05]: He suspended over 60 days this year.
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_05]: We just basically graduated into high school because we didn't want to deal with him.
[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_05]: It's all true, man.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I was in a special program called School Within School where the teachers would come to us.
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And it was just one big gang of bandits like in a class just kind of causing ruckus.
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_05]: But it completely changed everything for me, man.
[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_05]: And I just want to see that happen for other kids.
[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I know it can, you know?
[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm seeing it already.
[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's been really cool.
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I just want to be a part of that.
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_05]: So that's my biggest goal.
[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_00]: So if somebody wants to get in touch with you, what's the easiest way to get in touch with you?
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you can email us at admin at foosballclubsusa.com.
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_05]: And we've got a new curriculum coming at you real soon that I think is going to satisfy a lot of needs that are currently happening in our clubs.
[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, the program is going to have more depth than it ever has in the past.
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I think there's more buzz than there ever has been.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm hoping that we can get funded as a director.
[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_05]: My biggest goal is funding and to be transparent as an organization for these companies to look at us and not see a liability.
[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_05]: They see a business opportunity and to just kind of give more energy towards the right things and, you know, run a few tournaments here and there.
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, that's cool too.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And just have a great time, man.
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like it.
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_05]: If we get funding though, we're donating tables at this point.
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_05]: We're not trying to just write grants and get players to fund this thing.
[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Like if we get a big organization involved, this effort could really be very fruitful.
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I think we could be in a thousand different schools by the end of two years instead of like...
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: That'd be awesome.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: You know?
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: That'd be so cool.
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so just thinking about the impact.
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_03]: This reminds me that the Great Lakes Classic, what's...
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_03]: What do the junior divisions look like?
[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you going to have a tournament for the youngsters?
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_05]: So we'll have O'Brien Doubles and Singles to pay tribute to John O'Brien who passed away in 2022 before I got involved.
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Very cool.
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's going to be exciting.
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And of course, it's a qualifier for the World Cup in Spain for the World Championship Junior Doubles and Singles.
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_05]: We also are putting together a limited travel package for the junior players that do the best that plan to go.
[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_05]: So number one, you have to be...
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Not just on the team, but you have to be qualified to go to Spain to be qualified for this money.
[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_05]: So the best placing junior players that are qualified for Spain already or get qualified can get up to $750 cash for a limited travel package.
[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_05]: So we're trying to make it a little easier for these junior players to afford the World Cup.
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_05]: It's expensive, you know, a trip to Spain, that's no joke.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: So we're hoping to help with that.
[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: That's cool.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: That to me is like, I get to go to Europe to play foosball?
[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, as a kid, yeah, that's mind-blowing.
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: That's so cool.
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, man.
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a lot of fun.
[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_05]: We had a couple guys from Ohio that run a foosball group, put together some money.
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_05]: We had a couple guys from New York that run a foosball club, put together some money and donated it.
[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_05]: So Eric Miller and Kevin Stickle shout out to you guys for helping out.
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm just excited to kind of help these juniors get there.
[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you guys going to be...
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_03]: This year are we going to do the same speed bridge competition?
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Is there going to be a speed shot competition?
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_05]: There's going to be a fastest shot competition.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Love that.
[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Dennis Ory sent me a foosfit.
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And I just updated it.
[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_05]: My brother's been working on it all day shooting on the defense.
[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Shout out to Dennis Ory.
[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_05]: And so what I think what we're going to do is a fastest shot contest with the foosfit to promote both foos gadgets and foosfit.
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Historically, this tournament has always been kind of like an innovators tournament.
[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Foos gadgets kind of organized and ran it in the past under them.
[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And so we still want to have that kind of shine true with just innovating technology into foosball.
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_05]: And it really transcends the game.
[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I think Aaron Croft, what he's doing with foos gadgets, it's such an amazing thing.
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And these kids, they love the speed bridge.
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I've got like 10 different speed bridges in 10 of my clubs.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And they absolutely love it man.
[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_05]: They're like freaking out like who's got the fastest shot?
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Naturally for kids, especially because it's instant.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: You can see not a lot of effort to say I got the better shot man.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Mine's much faster than yours.
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Look at that.
[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Five miles an hour difference.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: That's huge.
[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Five miles an hour.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a lot.
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah right?
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think was it Sammy that won last year?
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_03]: The speed bridge?
[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_03]: What I heard.
[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he did.
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_03]: What I heard.
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_03]: 29 miles an hour.
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, 29 miles an hour.
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember honestly.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He was up there 29 miles an hour.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Which young.
[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_05]: He dude.
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Dang.
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_05]: He whips it.
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_05]: He's got a cannon.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Does it matter?
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Wait, is there any restriction on what kind of shot you shoot?
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_05]: So you can't go straight.
[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the only thing.
[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_05]: You have to move it.
[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think adding like a live defense to it.
[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_05]: You know,
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that's going to add a different flavor to the competition.
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's going to be cool.
[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a sweet trophy we're giving away for it's a nice acrylic.
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I got my trophy guy making some trophies.
[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_05]: That's one thing we don't try to shy away with, you know,
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_05]: as quality trophies like I do like half acrylic and then I do
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_05]: really nice plaques too.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Good.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And we're doing metals.
[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_05]: So, you know,
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I think we spend over like 1200 every year on trophies.
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't,
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_05]: we don't shy away from spending money on trophies.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Nice.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it makes a difference man.
[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like that.
[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_03]: As long as you can fit it on the airplane,
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: that's all it matters.
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You know,
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_05]: And you probably could.
[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_05]: There's nothing crazy.
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_05]: The cup,
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_05]: the cup though for the team event is going to be sick.
[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be a legit cup like the world cup.
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And that's,
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_05]: that's a big inspiration behind kind of running a team event is
[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_05]: like my time at the world cup and just sharing that moment
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_05]: with like your boys and just like coming together and
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_05]: getting to know each other and seeing kind of how you
[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_05]: can talk things out and just strategize.
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's just so special man.
[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_03]: So the layout of the room, I mean, how many tables this year?
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_03]: What's what's that?
[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_03]: What's happening with that?
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, so last year we had 27.
[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I'd like to have around the same amount 20, maybe 30.
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Topps.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_05]: The hotels agreed to move some of the furniture and lobby to
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_05]: kind of make room for more tables.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_05]: So if we have like a really fantastic turnout,
[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_05]: we could definitely set up some more tables Friday night
[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_05]: or maybe even Saturday morning.
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_05]: It just depends.
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_05]: The crew is going to be some really great guys.
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh Sarpy is going to be kind of the crew chief running this thing.
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_05]: The dude is so efficient with how he does things.
[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_05]: And my time with working with him with foosball clubs has been
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_05]: really fruitful.
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I've learned a lot.
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_05]: He's been a really good mentor for me.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_05]: So cool.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I trust the guy.
[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I trust him and he's, he's good at what he does.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_05]: So the staff is going to be great.
[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Kristen Grogan is going to be running the thing with,
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_05]: with the help of some really cool people.
[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_05]: So, um,
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_05]: like I said,
[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I got my family involved this year a little bit more.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_05]: So that's special to me and I have that dude.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You guys,
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_05]: you're going to get to know the Michigan crew.
[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be cool.
[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And I have to ask, um,
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_03]: a media coverage, uh,
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_03]: modern foos or inside foos.
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_03]: What were you going with that?
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_05]: So we've got modern foosball this year.
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Cool.
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think that's really critical. I think it's key because some of the things that they've been doing is really important
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep for the sport and and I love those guys. I want to support them and they've been very gracious
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_05]: They haven't charged me as much as they could like they're just covering their expenses. Okay, cool. Also
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_05]: We've got some sponsors that have made video advertisements
[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_05]: For their local scene or maybe like, you know an event
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_05]: They're running or maybe it's a product that they have for foosball right that is gonna be it's gonna be a show
[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_05]: for people I think and
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_05]: It's gonna be exciting and also how the finals will play out on Sunday for the team event
[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_05]: It's gonna be cool. It's gonna be on table one
[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_05]: And I just think it's gonna be cool to showcase that I'm excited
[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_05]: About how that plays out what it's gonna look like sure absolutely
[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Software we're using for software
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so we're working with IFP for software
[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Cool, you know, I would love to and I would love to at some point do like a Swiss and like less events
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that's where my heart's at. I just didn't know if people were ready for it
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, they are they're ready right I
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Agree for me. It was harder to do this year
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_05]: And Mary has been
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_05]: You know like I'm a super loyal dude
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I am like Mary has been super gracious and has pretty much got me to this point
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's kind of hard for me to be like, you know, I'm gonna shy away from IFP and go with ITSF
[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Logistically, it's more expensive. I think for me to go the other route and it's more risk and with foosball clubs being involved
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_05]: This year, I wanted to kind of like I'm changing a lot so I didn't want to change too much
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_05]: And IFP has really done the job for us cool. Yeah, yeah with this kind of system too
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you got to stay with success right something that works, you know, you know what inside and out you've worked out the bugs
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not not a time to change
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Necessary yeah for sure. Yeah, very cool and the software software tables
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Do I dare ask a tricky business it is like logistically
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's a another thing and again, you know, this is give it to me Tom. All right
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_03]: The tables have been crap a blade
[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they've been tough man. Yeah, the new men cracking. Yeah
[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, there's been some inconsistencies with the mold in the men's
[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I've actually talked to Trayla about some of the quality that we're seeing and
[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think he's got a plan to fix a lot of the stuff and make it better
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_05]: We just have to do the best we can before we got right, you know, and that's really it
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You may see some tables not be purchased some people may not be so they may wait and maybe their
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Hope to see the quality get better. Yeah
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Changing a lot more men at the tournament the rods being bent like it's tough dude
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not just speaking as a promoter here like as a pro player like I see that it's like right
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_05]: But we're gonna do the best we can and provide
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_05]: An experience that I think will be a little bit different a little bit unique
[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_03]: You're gonna want to come out and make this one nice. Okay. Yeah, I mean even if we just get spare parts that work better
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Wouldn't that be nice? I agree, you know, I think I think Tray really has taken it serious
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think the management chain and tornado
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Is starting to see some different perspective and I think Brian has been a big help in that
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I think Mary has been a massive
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Player in the game of hey like we got to do better and they're starting to listen I think so good
[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I did an interview with Tray back in May during the World Series
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_05]: and off the camera we talked a lot about the quality and he was super genuine
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_05]: He didn't give me political answers. Okay, and he you know, he just kind of he gets it
[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like well, I mean it's it clearly they make a lot of product not just foosball
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, right? So, you know Valley Dynamo is huge in pool
[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean that's where their bread and butter is man. They make a money their tournaments in Vegas
[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean thousands of people show up for those things thousands. Yeah, that's crazy, you know
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So I get it but still, you know, we've always see some yeah some things
[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_03]: We've always had better for sure decent tables over the years that that really didn't have that many issues
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And all of a sudden things have changed
[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Dude the brown marble was the best yeah tornado ever made that was the first table ever played on
[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Miracle rods down
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Hands down the best
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Aluminum feet the brown
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Table ever I had one I had one for years and I don't think everything was get rid of that table
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I love that table. I still got mine. Do you really still got mine? I I was lucky though
[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And I just kind of it's my sister's actually in my house, but I've got like nine tables, bro
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, like in it like at one point. I had six of them set up in my house
[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_05]: My my ex-girlfriend
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_05]: She moved out and after that happened. I just was like alright foosball house like
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: You speak in my language
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, it's true
[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I like it. I want to get a Leon heart
[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you? Yeah, okay?
[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, dude, I want I want one
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_03]: You know if you if you use the code foos talk
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You'll get 10% off your Leon hard table. I know Tom. I've already gone to the website. I put it in
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Is it Canada foosball notes, Lee are USA yeah, it's it's
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay original Leon heart
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Dot USA or dot USA. Yeah, who runs that it's well, it's it's
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_03]: geez
[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Cameron burrows Karen. Oh, so it's right. Yeah, yeah, burrows. Yep. So it is Canada foosball. Yeah
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean there are cameras like next level man. He's he's actually got a curriculum
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_05]: For kids to play foosball too. He's creating a program and I'm gonna pilot some of his
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_05]: curriculum and program
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Into some of the clubs that I have in the US to give him kind of like an idea. I'm piloting some of his work
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_05]: We haven't done it yet, and I hope to do it soon
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_05]: But we're gonna pilot some of his stuff so we can get some feedback and so he can experience doing that and
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_05]: The dude is insane. He's like another super super smart super intelligent. Yeah
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Incidentally, there is a for for patreons
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_03]: There's currently a video of Cameron or not a video but a but an episode of foosball radio on the road available only to the patreon members
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was recorded this summer at the ITSF World Series
[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's gonna be released soon to the public. So yes
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll be able to hear it on the the the general channels of foosball radio and foos talk live
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_05]: So just just saying he's crushing. Oh, he's awesome. Really is I'll always support that guy. Yep
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_03]: He really is great. He's I mean you could talk to him for days and and he wouldn't run out of things to say
[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's yeah, one of those cats
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I got a cousin like that
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_00]: 87 he drives the 87 Chevy
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey
[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Can you get pots for the Cavalier
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Usually he's got like three or four catalyzed to convert us in his backseat, right?
[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_03]: That he's borrowed he's borrowed them from other cars
[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, I dude so I worked for Walmart and like people
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Like some of the overnight employees have complained about their cars
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_05]: You know with the converters getting kind of saw it off in the middle of the night
[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I've actually had to deal with I do I deal with a lot of different people man
[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_05]: My job's kind of crazy sometimes like being a security manager for Walmart. You can only imagine like some of the
[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_05]: People of Walmart
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I
[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Live in Alabama
[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Think I'm joking right I tell my wife like let's go to Walmart. I grab a gun
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I feel safer with guys like you around though, like I'm never going into Walmart without a gun on me
[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, I actually teach like quarterly active threat like training exercises the
[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Societs and like to prepare for shootings Wow different things because it dude, it's a tough world
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_05]: We live in and yeah, it's it's it's kind of scary like there's a new shooting like every week and
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Oftentimes it's in a Walmart store or so you have to be careful like threat management safety
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a big deal man. Yeah, so you you have a lot of responsibility, dude
[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I wouldn't want it. It's tough man
[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I balance a P&L of a hundred million dollar Walmart still no kid
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_05]: So we look at like risk and casualty different like categories in the profit loss margins
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_05]: so a lot of the work that I've been doing and have been working on has as like very much translated to like the work that
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I do with foosball clubs
[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_05]: It's it's in a way
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of got me ready and prepared to take on this role and try to do my best with it
[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow, yeah, it's been cool. It's very grateful
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I can I can see you doing the job. I'm just you know, you're so mellow
[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't imagine now. Do you do you have to you have to be it's all about de-escalation man
[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_05]: It's all about
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_05]: This guy I've I yeah, I've talked more people out of punching me in the face
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Then I've ever thought of punching in the face like it's it's crazy
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I've been attacked. I've had guns brandish. I've had knives pulled on me
[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Like wow, I kind of grew up in the streets a little bit like Southside of Lansing and yep
[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Like so you pick up a couple things and really just kindness man. It translates beyond race beyond gender beyond
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Anything man if you just you act kind to someone and they're more apt to not punch you in the face
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_00]: If you just treat people the way you want to be treated mm-hmm
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody golden rule right? Yeah, three people the way you want to be treated be kind. Yeah
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, everybody's going through something man. Oh man that is that's for sure that's for sure. Yeah
[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's it's it's unfortunate because a lot of people forget that stuff, you know, they forget about
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I know there are Mike my coffee is cold. What the hell's wrong with you? You
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: You're lazy bastard, you know, I mean we can't go we can't go about a day like that. Yeah, we just can't do that
[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_00]: It's true. Everybody's dealing with something. Yep. Yep exactly. It's tough for everybody right now
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_00]: so
[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what are you gonna do man? But again, hey and that's why I like football. That's what we're gonna do
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Look when I this is the thing right and I say it all the time foosball players
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_00]: We're just selfish by nature, right?
[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_00]: But when I'm at a tournament and I hear somebody complain about something. I'm just like
[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Why man? Like it's yeah, like just having fun, dude
[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, how can you not how can you not be having a good time at a foosball tournament?
[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I that's a that's a really really good question really good question
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, kind of wonder that's why look again people you came on here to just give us a little bit of insight, right?
[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_00]: But people really don't know
[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_00]: The majority of foosball players don't know what it takes to put something like this together
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's it's it's it's a lot of work
[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_00]: You almost year-round for you to put on a tournament like this and it's like when I go to an event a
[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_00]: State event or one of Mary's you know, I always whoever's running the tournament
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I always just make it a point just go. Hey, thanks. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, that's yeah, dude
[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's thankless right it is it's thankless like whatever I can do to help and whatever I can do to not
[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Make things difficult
[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I've been super fortunate like people have been very thankful and have expressed their gratitude and
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I always heard that like and honestly local promotion is thankless like knowing the same guys coming in every week
[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And like there's always that one guy who gives you a hard time
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_05]: And then there's the guys that complain about the rules or the format or what's going on or you know like it
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_05]: It gets too personal and I feel like with this sort of work like
[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Like bigger picture work like I feel like it's I've definitely been you know feeling the love
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Good. It's really cool. Yeah, you deserve it bro. You deserve it. Absolutely. Thanks, man
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_03]: We're right we're grateful in so many ways the fact you would take the time out of your Saturday night
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Especially to hang out even though it's cool, man
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_03]: You're PYT now I gotta say PYT. That's a that's a real 80s thing and thank goodness
[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_03]: We got a brand new repose on the staff here to eighty one baby. Yeah to use those those those
[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Reference man. Yep. Yep Michael Michael Jackson's you know PYT
[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_03]: But I gotta say met I think we've basically solved the world's problems right here
[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_03]: You know
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen, if you got a problem come see me
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna work through this see
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_00]: If not I know I know a guy. I got a guy
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_05]: You are the kind of guy that's got guys
[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I got a guy for everything. What do you need?
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Bro, you're like a Swiss army knife like you're like you're so interesting
[00:25:22] I
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's ever explained it like that, but yeah kind of sort of yeah, we need a Phillips head a bottle open
[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Magnifying glass Swiss army Randy
[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Dude dude you want the first time I met you you had like an like so
[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_05]: You beat me in pro doubles me and my dad you you waxed us pretty good to your fives nasty
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_05]: So like I knew it was gonna be good playing you but when I played you you out five me and then you beat us
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_05]: But before the match like you're like
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Said something and you like pulled out a massive knife. You're like yo check on my knife, bro
[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was just like dude like it was like the cool
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I got him everywhere
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I got I got guns everywhere

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean it was my fifth year high school. So I had two years to try but I mean I got it the second time
[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_00]: You should
[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean you talk to these
[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same idea man. Most of the big comedians say the same exact thing
[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_03]: If they didn't if they didn't learn how to laugh that would have been it. They would have you know done finished
[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_05]: It's an art form, you know, it's it's a social art form
[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep in a way like you probably have a lot of friends that love you because you make them laugh and
[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, people like that are just good genuine positive people to be around wouldn't you rather be thought of that way, right?
[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You know instead of like people talking about like, oh god that guy's such a downer. Jeez God, you know
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but instead they're like, oh that dude makes me laugh every time
[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't I don't I don't ever want to be a downer right too short
[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Life's too short to be upset and stressed out and miserable. Amen. Seriously. I just want to enjoy myself
[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to laugh have a good time like I said man
[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so I work so much and you know like thankfully like I said, I married a good woman and she understands it
[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_00]: She's appreciative. So I just I try to take the best care of her that I can but it's like
[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I go like just everyday stuff
[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Deals and work and it's like things don't always go your way and it's just all about perspective, you know, I mean, yeah
[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_00]: That's key. That's incredible. Yeah, there's a blood. There's a blessing and every believe me
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I do today. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today like we went to breakfast traffic was bad
[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_00]: They were like 400 families from out of town in town for a soccer tournament. Oh, wow
[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody knows how to drive. They're all terrible
[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I have the worst road rage we're going to breakfast and I'm just like
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I said today's the day that's what I tell him like today's the day. I said where it happens
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I was like just make sure I said you take the bail money from here
[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_00]: We just need to be in the house
[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I can't be like we tried
[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_05]: You gotta you gotta enjoy the little things for sure man some process
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, sometimes
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, sometimes like you have this goal in mind and this idea or vision of your life or yourself
[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_05]: And when you get there, it's not what you thought. Mm-hmm, you know, and it's like
[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Like live a little man let loose a little bit and just you know, like I strive sometimes I strive too much and it can be
[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_05]: It can be tough
[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, and you just got to like enjoy the process man. It's not always about the destination
[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, sometimes it's about it's about getting there and then you get there
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like you you missed the whole trip right?
[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the best yeah completely spaced out on that completely
[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you it's like
[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Even in your relationships, right? Like, you know, you got a girl things are good
[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_00]: You fight and you know, like me do me and my wife me if we argue about like it wasn't too long ago
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_00]: We had we had kind of a blowout like we were in the kitchen
[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_00]: It was the middle of the day and we're fighting about something. I don't even remember what it was dude
[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I just I just dropped my shorts just dropped my shorts
[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Just dropped my shorts. I was like, what do you want to do?
[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_00]: What do you want to do right now? Right? And she just looked at me and started laughing
[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You know why you know, you know why you know why nobody wants to fight with a naked dude
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Right hey hey
[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_00]: It was immediately de-escalated immediately de-escalated so look when you're when you're at work and somebody pulls a gun on
[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_00]: You bro, just drop your shorts
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_00]: immediate de-escalation
[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Immediate termination

[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Just like let loose a little bit and just enjoy the moment. Yeah, you know
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And then when you have a chance play some foosball there. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Yeah, never know
[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_03]: You never know
[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_03]: You never know it's this I you know, it's like I wish the tournament is tomorrow now. It's like damn me too

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_05]: There's still some expenses. We got stage coming in
[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, we've got there's just so many moving parts. So it's gonna be fun, man
[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I let me enjoy it. Let me ask you this question then from the first time you put on a tournament was what three years ago
[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, 2021 from from that day to now
[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_03]: What has become just automatic for you? Like I I learned this the first time I did this
[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm never gonna make that mistake again. What's become automatic now that you're three years in
[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_05]: The communication and I feel like sometimes I over communicate like I'll post a little bit too much because I'm a little insecure
[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, what if people don't go? Yeah, or if what if someone doesn't see it?
[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_05]: But the communication I feel like is like the biggest thing for me that I just try to communicate like hey
[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_05]: This is what we're doing
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_05]: And just promote it and put it out there
[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_05]: And then you don't want to like post too much because other promoters want to promote too and sure you don't want to
[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Look a little selfish about like over posting or stuff like that like I share everyone's fires
[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Right. I try to try to be fair and do that and like if I know it's like a certain weekend
[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I may not post as much as I would normally like I want to I don't want to like try to steal the show or anything but
[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_05]: You know for me, it's just the the people too like I've got so much support
[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep, I I can't tell you how much support I have it's it's insane
[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_05]: And so it makes this effort a lot more
[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh easier to execute and just follow up to certain things, you know, like certain people have a job
[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_05]: But I'm definitely like the coordinator of a lot of it
[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, you know, I've got some sound boards like I'll call certain people and like
[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Run them through like my checklist and like there's like two or three people that they know exactly what's happened
[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what orders have been placed because I'm talking to like so many different people. So um
[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a lot but uh, yeah
[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so worth it, man like just watching people come and and just have such a great time
[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Like we've we've been really fortunate to to have some very positive experiences
[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_05]: People, you know, not a lot of people have said bad things about the tournament. So cool. Um
[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, yeah, if I could do anything better it would just be like
[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_05]: What we're doing it this year like I'm rebranding we have an identity
[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I've taken run it being a promoter and then
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Getting involved as a volunteer for this nonprofit and just kind of mesh it together to make it make sense
[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_05]: um
[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_05]: And just you know making it bigger than it was before hopefully and just
[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Doing it for the right reason. I don't know. I think the communications the biggest thing though
[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And for uh for the people that are thinking about what you do
[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_03]: People who may be listening to this very podcast or or we're watching it on twitch tv
[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_03]: What's the one thing you would want to say to those people who say, you know, I want to do what he's doing
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_03]: What would you tell them number one is the one thing you don't want to do?
[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_05]: um
[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_05]: That's that's tough. Um
[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I think I'd rather answer the question with saying what you want to do
[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I think you want to do it for the right reasons. I think that you should never hope to make money doing this
[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I think you should yeah, it's true
[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_05]: It's true and I've been fortunate enough that I've I've you know, we financially we've we've made money every year and I've rolled it over
[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_05]: and uh
[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, it always goes into the next year. I never take any anything from it personally and I've actually like been at a loss
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I've spent money to try to do things
[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_05]: um, which I expect to do and I'm okay with
[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_05]: um
[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Just do it for the right reason and it's easier than you think. Um, it's all about the team
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so little about the one person kind of making it happen. I know it takes the one person the one percent whatever
[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's all about the people you put around you like
[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, and I think that really shines the truest with what we do here
[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Is we do it together, you know, like it's it's a big team effort
[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I
[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Love that answer the people that's gonna work the people
[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, awesome. Cool man. Yeah
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, dude, I mean we we've been trying to keep it to like like an hour's episode lately
[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We've been going man. Dude. Yeah, i don't
[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It's uh, it's an hour and 56 minutes
[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Tom I figured
[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Have you been recording? Oh yes the entire time
[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_03]: The entire time
[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It's your 10 minutes right and I know you don't trust me anymore, but that's okay
[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_02]: It's okay. I think that the second take was the key to this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah really well. Oh, yeah
[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_03]: No, this this you guys crushed it

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I love rom-coms dude. Yeah, I'm not afraid to admit it either. Yeah
[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, me either. Me either. Look, I'm very secure in my manhood
[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Very secure. Romantic comedy. I just figured it out. Romantic comedy. Okay, I get it. All right. Yeah, romantic comedy
[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Where have you been?
[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Dude, I've been watching a lot of
[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I've been watching a lot of stand-up lately too, man. When Harry met Sally
[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_03]: What what? You've got mail
[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, those are stupid anyway
[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Stand up what you've been watching. What stand-up you've been watching
[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Dude like Joe Rogan and like, uh, I didn't know Joe Rogan was so deadly
[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, uh, dude kills man. Yeah, he's good. He's funny. Yeah, he's super funny
[00:49:27] [SPEAKER_05]: And then like even like like even like uh, like I watch the pod or listen to the podcast the Joe
[00:49:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I drive like an hour to work every day. Oh, yeah
[00:49:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Not only do I work like, you know, 11-12 hour shifts sometimes I drive like an hour on top. That's crazy
[00:49:40] [SPEAKER_05]: But I listened to Joe Rogan's podcast all the time
[00:49:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And uh, I listened to the Adam Stanley episode and I was like wait a minute
[00:49:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I need to like watch like all these stand-ups because like just they talked about it. Um
[00:49:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Like Adam Sandler still kills even though he's a little corny sometimes
[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_00]: He's a terrible dude. I love it. He's okay. He's all right. I love his movies
[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I love his movies. Ask me anything about an Adam Sandler movie for the from the 90s
[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I've seen right 100 times. Okay. What's the worst sandler movie probably click
[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_00]: No, it was the one where he played himself as a girl
[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I wouldn't even oh
[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, see I don't even yeah, I don't even think about that one because it's so bad
[00:50:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he like he played himself. It was like a sister as a girl and I know
[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Most of the people yeah, he's an ugly dude, but he's an even ugly
[00:50:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it was bad, right? No, but like like billy madison happy gilmore. Oh god, dude
[00:50:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, anything he did in like the 90s. I've seen no joke. I was like
[00:50:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And I would watch it like a hundred times billy madison that explains it
[00:50:51] [SPEAKER_00]: I could quote them
[00:50:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, mr. See again the foot anyway, so
[00:51:02] [SPEAKER_00]: If you like
[00:51:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm a bit of sneaky man
[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_00]: If you if you like uh, you like stand up. Have you seen shane gillis's latest? It was I mean, I think it came out like a year
[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_00]: No, dude, beautiful beautiful dogs beautiful. No, but I'm I'm just starting
[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm just starting to like kind of like navigate my way through like these stand-up
[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Sets and like different things
[00:51:25] [SPEAKER_05]: It was really inspiring like here like
[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, what there's a show right now on youtube. Uh, what is it?
[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Kill tony. Oh
[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, bro. Yeah, like oh my god
[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Dude it it is amazing. It's a beautiful thing kill. Tony's been around for 10 years 15 years. I know
[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He's launched. He's launched so many
[00:51:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Like dude, they're crushing it. No kidding. He just did madison square garden like five nights in a row
[00:51:59] [SPEAKER_00]: About that's crazy
[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's a guy
[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_00]: He's in the kill tony hall of fame his name is david lucas. He's a comedian. Yes, dude. Yeah, and he's a roaster
[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_05]: He's hysterical. He's a you guys see the trump the trump and biden episode of kill tony. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, that's shane gillis. That's shane gillis. Yes
[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, please trump
[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you watch like I don't know what you're doing after we get off bro, but if yeah
[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Beautiful dogs is the name of his stand up beautiful dogs. I'm gonna write it down. I have to write everything down, bro
[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so you're good. No, you're good beautiful beautiful dogs
[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's less than an hour
[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_00]: It is from the time it starts to the time it stops hysterical
[00:52:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Dude, I'm gonna do a bra. I'll message you too. I'll let you know
[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_05]: instead of Netflix
[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Netflix I watch it like four times I've watched like and I laugh every time
[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow, that's clutch every time and the reason he calls the name is beautiful dogs because he's talking about
[00:52:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Donald trump. He's doing his trump impression and and oh
[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_00]: dogs beautiful dogs anyway
[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_05]: The best songs in the world
[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_00]: When you when you hear it, you'll know why and they don't just have any dogs. We have the best
[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_00]: It's because it's because what they use the dogs for I'm telling you when you watch it. You're gonna be like, oh, okay
[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Dude, it's a
[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's no he's he's funny dude. I I um
[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_00]: That shit tonight. I might watch that and then and then go into uh black mass. So there you go
[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a there's a double header for you tonight, right beautiful dogs and then black mass perfect. That'll that'll do it
[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_03]: That'll do it
[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow, uh, yeah, we we've blown through a couple of hours here man
[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, you know what this kind of reminds me of you know, this reminds me of actually going to a tournament
[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And chilling with with friends and just you know getting into conversations like this
[00:53:54] [SPEAKER_03]: That's just what it reminds me of
[00:53:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Reposos of I man and and and and Tom you just you bring so much to the table too, man
[00:54:01] [SPEAKER_03]: This is fun. Well, I'm just like I like I say I'm just another pretty voice
[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But uh you guys are the you guys are the topic you guys are the reason that we're here
[00:54:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So
[00:54:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, what can I tell you, you know, uh
[00:54:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I just started all of it
[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_03]: In some circles somber tones in a world
[00:54:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I just got a better microphone than you that's all
[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_03]: All right
[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_05]: There's some prowess man and some a skill set to this
[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there is some of that. Yeah, I mean the first time I was on the arrow was 15
[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_03]: So wow. Yeah
[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_03]: So I kind of had it was sort of like you and foosball
[00:54:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But although you what you were nine when you started playing them, right?
[00:54:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I was uh 10 10. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so
[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_03]: But like when I first started playing you yeah, I mean when you start something at that age
[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_03]: You're gonna be good at it eventually
[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_03]: So
[00:55:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the best in the world
[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_05]: It's all about the six inches between your ears, man
[00:55:10] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the thing I learned
[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I've like I'm I'm so forgetful that I'm I'm being more of a student now
[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think that's what's gonna get me to the next level. Yes
[00:55:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm yep, I I like write things down and I watch tape and I study players and
[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_05]: You know when I really respect someone I'll spend my time watching them. Yeah, and uh
[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so it's it's cool
[00:55:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It's um, I can see that aspect of what you do as you as you pay it forward and you introduce kids to the sport
[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_03]: You're also you're introducing them to something that didn't know before but at the same time you're inspiring them
[00:55:49] [SPEAKER_03]: That's cool, man. You know, thank you inspire
[00:55:52] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what you do
[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_05]: That that would be a nice byproduct of of kind of the the goal here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, keep it up man
[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Because we we need more players
[00:56:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Um
[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_03]: A lot of the guys that I play with here in the upstate
[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It up new york, uh new york area. Some of us are getting injured
[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Getting older not showing up every week. Yeah. Yeah, so we're running out of supply for me
[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, for for me, uh, you know, if I could say one last thing about kind of
[00:56:22] [SPEAKER_05]: My approach here is like it's not always about competition
[00:56:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh for growing foosball
[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Like for foosball to be big again in my opinion it has to be
[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_05]: A facet of popular culture and it has to be a social sport
[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh to people. You know, it's it's not always about like
[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_05]: The competitive side of it like that I think that should be like a byproduct of like these clubs that we
[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_05]: That we kind of create, right, you know, I want these kids to like meet their friends playing foosball
[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, just like just like you guys I would have never have met you guys had been for this crazy sport, right? And so
[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_05]: uh, we're better people because of this thing
[00:57:03] [SPEAKER_05]: And uh, it brings us together and that's what I'm hoping to do
[00:57:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely. Absolutely. You're 100 correct. Some of my best friends in the world. I'm not them playing. Yeah, exactly right
[00:57:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly right. And you know that that whole idea
[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Um like just a quick anecdote last night
[00:57:19] [SPEAKER_03]: There's there's like five of us playing just pick up games last night because it wasn't just there's no
[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Not enough for a tournament but anyway, it's myself and and kevin walker and uh
[00:57:29] [SPEAKER_03]: This guy johnny bedouin and bob george and a few other guys and we're playing right so this dude
[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_03]: He it's a pool hall. So there's a lot of people there
[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And he comes by and he stops and he comes over and he's he's looking at us at his play
[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_03]: He goes, hey man, I hate to interrupt but um, I used to love this game
[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And i've never seen it played at this level before wow
[00:57:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Would you mind if I if I videotaped could I use my phone to tape you guys?
[00:57:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to I want to send it to a friend of mine because he's not going to believe how you guys play
[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And we're like, of course, you know that yeah, we're we're we're fine with that
[00:58:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And we finally said to him hey listen if you used to play you you should come back in
[00:58:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You know join us. We're here every friday night. He's like i'm going to grab my buddy and we're going to come down
[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_02]: That's how it starts man. Like
[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly
[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Even if even if he stood back and goes
[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god
[00:58:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen it played like this before this is crazy. You guys are nuts
[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's still gonna come back and and uh bring his friend with him. So it's like it's like what rob maras said man and
[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_05]: who's ballers
[00:58:34] [SPEAKER_05]: He's like if you give a kid a guitar
[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Is he gonna know what to do with it? If he if he's never played a guitar before or he's never seen someone play it
[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, and we just have to get in front of more people. So they see there is levels to this
[00:58:48] [SPEAKER_05]: There's layers man and it it makes it makes your brain stronger and makes your
[00:58:54] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, it makes you happier. Yeah makes you healthier. It's it's good for people. It's good for everybody
[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's um and as long as you're you know
[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Assessable for other people to see it. That's that's the other thing too. You know, that's why good media is always gonna make the difference
[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Good media. That's right. Yeah the media. That's right, man. Come on go. That's you buddy
[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So and again modern foods gonna have modern foods out shout out to modern foods man. Hey listen anybody listening Russian, right?
[00:59:24] [SPEAKER_00]: We got we got patreons go support. Mm-hmm be a supporter if you like the product
[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Modern foods has a patreon
[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Fooz talk live as a patreon foosball radio. Yep foosball radio foosball clubs should have a patreon
[00:59:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, I love looking at that. I don't even know what it means
[00:59:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so patreon what it is actually and kudos to our patreon
[00:59:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Participators we call them pillars because they're basically keeping us a float
[00:59:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But so what they can do is they go to go to the patreon page
[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's say you build one website. Yeah for foosball clubs usa.com
[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_03]: They go to the patreon page you establish
[01:00:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And they can they can actually give you donations every month
[01:00:11] [SPEAKER_03]: To help support you so five bucks a month subscription base model
[01:00:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yep five bucks a month ten bucks a month
[01:00:17] [SPEAKER_03]: 20 bucks a month or one donation. Yep. So it's really worth you talk about patreons
[01:00:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I just thought that was a word to describe someone who donated. I didn't know it was actually like a platform right?
[01:00:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a it's a platform and again think about it like like
[01:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Five bucks man. It's a latte. I give up one latte a month and I can yeah
[01:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, something that I love something that's helping grow something that I love. So it's beautiful man. Yeah
[01:00:43] [SPEAKER_03]: it's
[01:00:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Especially for for what you do because you really as a nonprofit really need
[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_03]: That support
[01:00:51] [SPEAKER_03]: To keep things going, you know, we just uh,
[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, we just actually set up a trello account a couple months back and basically what that is is it's um
[01:01:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's called trello, but it's uh, it's basically this
[01:01:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Organization that takes donations for nonprofits. Mm-hmm and they there's no service fee like they don't take any piece
[01:01:12] [SPEAKER_05]: You can tip them and they helps them do what they do
[01:01:16] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's a really great service and I'll have qr codes at the tournament
[01:01:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And October you can scan and you can tip tip the organization a couple bucks if you want and
[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, obviously all the proceeds are going directly to the nonprofit too
[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_05]: So just showing up and playing in a foosball tournament. You're supporting a bigger picture
[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Thing and a movement that's happening all over the country. So
[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I have an eye donors are so important
[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean it's it's it there these sites are out there and I also have a couple of ideas myself
[01:01:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you know, you know, we if we collaborate let's say between foosball clubs usa and foosball radio
[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, you know, we could do like a table that's wrapped with our logos on it and give it away
[01:02:01] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, you know and uh generate some interest and you know give it away
[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But but also if people want to you know, I guess you'd call it a lottery if you wanted to uh raffle raffle a raffle
[01:02:12] [SPEAKER_03]: There you go. Um, that's a great idea. You know something like that. Josh
[01:02:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh sarpy the the guy who's been doing a lot of the table raps
[01:02:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh all of the table raps. He's um
[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_05]: We we've got a couple sponsor tables that have been around uh on tour all year long
[01:02:28] [SPEAKER_05]: So table one and two table two on tour for ifp has been a foosball clubs table all year long
[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice, uh, mary's been a big supporter in that. Yeah, we we got a we got a bunch of buddies that run their own businesses
[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And usually they're foosball
[01:02:42] [SPEAKER_05]: oriented
[01:02:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And we'll have them donate and then we fund a table and we still need to figure out what we're doing with the table
[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_05]: At the end of the year because it's it's ours now right to sponsor money
[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I think we're just going to give it to a school. But um, you know, it's it's really a great idea
[01:02:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I'd love to do something like that with you guys cool raffle again a raffle right like the raffle sounds sick though
[01:03:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah 20 bucks 20 bucks for an arm length of tickets or whatever. I mean, yeah
[01:03:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Right if if you if we can get enough players to you know, or or whatever tournament you decide to raffle the table off at
[01:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean people typically
[01:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean chance 20 bucks for a chance to win the table. I mean sure. Yeah, why not? That's a great idea
[01:03:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Why not and and you know everybody signs it and you know does the whole the whole nine get some pros to
[01:03:28] [SPEAKER_03]: To sign the table
[01:03:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And you got a custom a custom
[01:03:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Wrap but also you got all these these signatures that
[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And it means something man. You supported something. Yep. Yeah
[01:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, and and again like i'm just saying me personally
[01:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna i'm gonna buy tickets if I win the raffle. I'm just gonna donate the table
[01:03:48] [SPEAKER_00]: All that's it. I'm gonna donate the table. I'm just saying like you know,
[01:03:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Fools ball players like I said, we're pretty selfish, but we're also pretty generous generous generous generous. I don't know how you're both
[01:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know
[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_00]: But whatever anyway, I'm just saying it's um, you know
[01:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: We're all uh
[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: We're all passionate. We all want to play we love it, but at the same time it's like we sit around and talk about how do we make this big?
[01:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: um
[01:04:17] [SPEAKER_00]: But like you're doing it right you're one of the guys that's actually out there doing it
[01:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, you know, whatever we can do to help. I mean, I you know legitimately dude
[01:04:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Like if you need me i'm a phone call away
[01:04:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So thank you man
[01:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I can do man just reach out likewise
[01:04:31] [SPEAKER_05]: You know the biggest the biggest thing uh that you guys can do right now
[01:04:35] [SPEAKER_05]: You're already doing it. You know, you're coming out to the the tournament we're running and
[01:04:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, you know if down the road you get some free time and you want to throw a contact my way for a school
[01:04:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Or if you guys want to email me like an admin at foosballclubsusa.com and you want to be a club facilitator in your own state
[01:04:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, there's a lot of perks to it. I'd like to run this tournament every year and maybe give free entry
[01:04:57] [SPEAKER_05]: A total free package to every club facilitator that runs a club for a youth program
[01:05:01] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a lot of ideas and we can layer this uh, and we can add incentive to a system
[01:05:07] [SPEAKER_05]: To kind of get people energized to want to do this and I think number one is changing the location get like a hilton in detroit
[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_05]: 10 miles from the airport. Okay, uh, you know have the same
[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_05]: beautiful setup
[01:05:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh a little bit different and unique maybe a bigger ballroom
[01:05:23] [SPEAKER_05]: But then give these perks to these people that are putting in the work
[01:05:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Out in the field man. They got their boots on the ground. So um
[01:05:31] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a lot of different ways to to help man and in your time is the most valuable asset asset that you can offer
[01:05:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Cool, dude. I live I live behind an elementary school and less than a mile from a
[01:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Intermediate school and a high school
[01:05:44] [SPEAKER_00]: So dude, sweet. I would love I would love to get something going man. Yeah, give me the contact
[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: My favorite thing to do is beat on people that don't know how to play football
[01:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I love it
[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Get off on it. What can I tell you?
[01:06:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go, baby
[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: What do I need to do to get your contact? What do I how do I get your contact? What do I need to do?
[01:06:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so you can just email me at uh either mike at foosballclubsusa.com or admin at foosballclubsusa.com
[01:06:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And uh, i'm really responsive
[01:06:18] [SPEAKER_05]: To the emails I check my email every day
[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_05]: um
[01:06:22] [SPEAKER_05]: and you know
[01:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: basically
[01:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh knowing someone in the school is the most
[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_05]: It's it's the most critical piece is to really sell this
[01:06:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I've got this this pitch down
[01:06:34] [SPEAKER_05]: To the point where I've talked about it so much. I've pitched so many people
[01:06:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I've been rejected so many times that I
[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_05]: It's fluid. It's it's like second nature to me. I I can I can get people really interested in in the program
[01:06:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I think with uh just kind of the way I communicated. I know a lot about it. So
[01:06:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice, um, you know, I I can talk to whoever or you know, if you want to sell it
[01:06:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I would love to talk to you to try to maybe
[01:07:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Give you some information so that you can speak to it as well. Um, and yeah, we're doing this the right way man
[01:07:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah
[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_00]: So who who would be like the key point person in in the school to talk to who would be the person?
[01:07:13] [SPEAKER_05]: The person who makes the decisions is typically the principal
[01:07:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh in a lot of cases I've learned the assistant vice principal or the assistant principal
[01:07:23] [SPEAKER_05]: They're they're really dealing with the staff in in the school a lot. So they have their
[01:07:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, they're really well versed in like what teachers are available to do what and then they also um
[01:07:36] [SPEAKER_05]: In my experience, they've done a lot of like the social work with the kids too
[01:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: So you might know groups that would be interested. Um, if you can, you know, get a hold of one of those people
[01:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, and then they can just kind of get the ball rolling
[01:07:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, see because I'll just I'll just walk in
[01:07:51] [SPEAKER_00]: As for the vp have a come on. Yeah, man. Yeah, yo, where's that vp? Yeah. Yeah
[01:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll see what I can drum up. Yes
[01:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the biggest appeal too is the fact that uh, especially kids of a certain age between the age of 12 and 17
[01:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: They're all different shapes and sizes. Some have athletic abilities. Some don't but foosballs is the great equalizer
[01:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So you could have a like I said, man
[01:08:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a six foot two, you know quarterback trying to play against a uh, a five foot tall girl and get his ass beat
[01:08:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know
[01:08:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Basically, man, uh, it's it is a great equalizer. Yeah, and it kind of puts everyone on the same
[01:08:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Playing field. There's this one girl in a michigan club. I know I know we probably got to go soon
[01:08:34] [SPEAKER_05]: But I'll I'll talk about this this one instance. So there's this girl. She's in crushes
[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_05]: And we just got this new, uh, club going in howl and erin croff with foos gadgets is like my club facilitator out there at that location
[01:08:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And he'll go every monday
[01:08:48] [SPEAKER_05]: And there's this girl who's in crutches and she's just kicking these
[01:08:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Boys' butts, man
[01:08:54] [SPEAKER_05]: She's crushing them and she's on crutches too. Like she's just like and yeah, dude
[01:08:59] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's cool to see like the interest of you know, the girls like in our rockford club
[01:09:04] [SPEAKER_05]: We had 24 women's doubles teams for women's doubles. Seriously 24
[01:09:09] [SPEAKER_05]: There was yep, yep
[01:09:10] [SPEAKER_05]: There was 48 women that played in or young girls that played in this uh ninth grade
[01:09:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Campus tournament that's more teams at worlds. Yeah, and that was that was this there was this year and so um, you know, we're just
[01:09:23] [SPEAKER_05]: We want to add different cool fun things to the program and give kids incentive to play foosball someday
[01:09:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I would love to see
[01:09:31] [SPEAKER_05]: College scholarships be given uh for champions of tournaments wouldn't that be nice for these high schools, right?
[01:09:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Universities playing against each other and foosball. Yeah
[01:09:39] [SPEAKER_05]: And we also have college a college sector too that i'm starting to implement
[01:09:45] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, we've got in diluth minnesota
[01:09:47] [SPEAKER_05]: We've got uh like 22 college kids that meet up every week and they play and they run my curriculum. Nice
[01:09:53] [SPEAKER_05]: There's another one in ohio, uh, you know, so we've got two college
[01:09:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Two colleges that are in the program just like
[01:09:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Scholastic foosball man. It could be the thing that really helps the sport
[01:10:04] [SPEAKER_03]: so well that that's uh, that's um
[01:10:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a lot to think about that's a lot a lot of work to do but man. It's uh, it's exciting
[01:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It's really exciting. It's a full-time job. Yeah. Wow dude. You're killing it
[01:10:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's uh, I have to say sometimes you just don't know what to expect when you
[01:10:23] [SPEAKER_03]: You start a show and you think okay, it's gonna be fun
[01:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna talk about some great stuff and then suddenly, you know the two hours and 29 minutes have gone by it's like damn
[01:10:32] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like we just don't don't don't make me take my shorts off
[01:10:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Listen, it's over. You're killing me
