[00:00:01] The following is a presentation of Foosball Radio. It's FoosTalk Live. Are you talking to me? Compelling and lively banter. Are you going to talk to us? Talking Foosball. Foosball was how I measured my value as a man? You took that away! Players and fans, promoters and pros. Unedited and raw. Talk, talk, talk. Living in the moment. We have a lot of important things to talk about. All while practicing social distancing. Cool. We'll talk. No big whoop. Let's get this thing started.

[00:02:02] Well, here we are once again with episode number 228 of Foos Talk Live.

[00:02:08] And tonight we're going to do a little diversion, a little change, I guess is the best way to put it.

[00:02:14] But of course, we're going to be talking about foosball.

[00:02:16] And it always pays when you have someone to talk to about this wonderful sport.

[00:02:21] And that would be Randy Raposo from the great state of Alabama.

    [00:02:24] What's up, Randy?

    [00:02:25] Hey, Tom.

    [00:02:26] How are you, sir?

[00:02:27] You know, Halloween is behind us, right?

    [00:02:30] It's done.

[00:02:31] Thank you to the Lord.

[00:02:32] Did anyone kick in your door this year?

[00:02:34] I was standing in front of it.

    [00:02:38] Good.

    [00:02:39] Yeah.

[00:02:40] Hopefully with a bowl of candy in your hand.

[00:02:43] I did hand out candy, Tom.

    [00:02:45] Okay.

[00:02:46] You know, we had, it was light this year.

[00:02:49] I don't know why it was light, but I was out there.

[00:02:54] My neighbors next door, they go buck wild.

    [00:02:57] They love it, man.

    [00:02:58] Do they?

    [00:02:58] Yeah.

    [00:02:59] Hot chocolate for refreshments.

[00:03:01] And so I just stand up there with a bowl of candy and hand out candy.

[00:03:06] And then once the candy's gone, I usually go in the house.

[00:03:09] But after what happened last year, I just, I stood in my doorway waiting.

[00:03:16] And I think some people, I think some people thought it was a little strange, but they don't

    [00:03:20] know the backstory.

[00:03:21] So quick, quick backstory last year.

[00:03:24] And again, I always, I hand out candy.

[00:03:26] It's for the kids, right?

[00:03:27] I'm, you know, it is what it is.

[00:03:29] So I just, we were out to dinner last year because my nephew's birthday's on the 1st of

[00:03:36] November and he wanted to go out to dinner.

    [00:03:38] We were at dinner.

[00:03:39] My ring went off and a couple of kids had tried to kick in my front door.

[00:03:43] So your ring is the, the remote.

    [00:03:46] Oh, got it.

    [00:03:47] Yeah.

    [00:03:48] Okay.

    [00:03:48] Yeah.

[00:03:48] So I, I lost my mind in the middle of the restaurant and my wife, my wife, who is just,

[00:03:55] you know, she's very calm and she's like, nothing you can do.

[00:04:00] Just sit down and enjoy dinner.

    [00:04:01] And I, I was like, I didn't, I didn't enjoy dinner.

[00:04:05] So when we got, when we got home and we pulled in the neighborhood, there was still, there was

    [00:04:09] kids everywhere.

[00:04:09] And I'm stopping in front of groups of teenagers getting out of the car and grabbing them

    [00:04:13] and holding the phone.

    [00:04:14] Cause I snapped, I screenshotted the kid's face.

[00:04:16] I was like, you look like this kid.

[00:04:18] And, uh, anyway, a year later, I'm just standing there waiting.

    [00:04:26] Just waiting.

    [00:04:27] Waiting.

    [00:04:27] Yeah.

    [00:04:28] They never came back.

[00:04:29] Something tells me the word got out.

[00:04:31] Don't mess with that dude at number such and such on the street.

[00:04:34] It might've, I don't know, but I, I really wish they would have come back.

[00:04:38] We could have, we could have talked about it.

    [00:04:40] Right.

    [00:04:40] It's a whole year later.

    [00:04:41] They're probably, hopefully they're like 19 or 20 now.

    [00:04:44] Right.

    [00:04:45] And of legal age.

[00:04:47] So, uh, but unfortunately, well, fortunately nothing happened.

[00:04:52] It was a nice, calm, quiet night.

    [00:04:55] Okay.

[00:04:56] And, uh, candy was dispersed.

[00:04:58] Everyone was happy and good.

[00:05:00] Uh, but it's behind us now.

    [00:05:03] Thankfully, my goodness.

[00:05:04] The only thing that I think that sucks now is, um, the time change.

    [00:05:08] I just.

    [00:05:09] Right.

    [00:05:10] Isn't it weird?

    [00:05:11] Yeah.

    [00:05:11] So dark, so early.

    [00:05:13] Yeah.

    [00:05:13] It's depressing.

    [00:05:13] Yeah.

[00:05:14] But, you know, consider that we got an extra hour of sleep, technically speaking.

[00:05:18] Um, although I woke up in my normal time, which was an hour earlier.

    [00:05:23] So.

    [00:05:24] Yeah.

    [00:05:24] Whatever.

    [00:05:25] Whatever that, that means.

[00:05:26] Um, it's, uh, when it comes to just at Halloween in general, of course, and we're going to find

[00:05:33] out more about this tonight because tonight it's the real wives of Foos Talk Live, which

[00:05:39] we're going to get to.

    [00:05:40] Don't worry.

    [00:05:40] We'll, we'll get there.

[00:05:41] But, uh, uh, just a, you know, a quick tale of Halloween back 36 years ago is the first

[00:05:47] time my wife and I dated.

    [00:05:49] Nice.

[00:05:49] And, uh, it was, it started out as a pretty ordinary kind of date, but by the time things

[00:05:55] were done after she had left, in fact, uh, I, I, I ended up with straws up my nose and

[00:06:00] things, you know, stuff like that.

    [00:06:02] So anyway.

[00:06:03] It's a good thing she was gone.

    [00:06:03] Yeah.

[00:06:04] It's a good thing she was gone.

[00:06:05] It's a good thing she was gone.

    [00:06:06] Yeah.

    [00:06:07] But.

[00:06:07] Listen, listen, Tom, there's been some Halloweens where, where I've had straws up my nose too,

[00:06:12] but I don't think it was the same thing you were doing.

    [00:06:14] So.

[00:06:14] No, this is, this is more, well, I don't have to get into it.

    [00:06:18] Anyway.

    [00:06:18] Yeah.

[00:06:22] It's a, but, but, uh, and to, to think that, you know, in those days, if she had known that

[00:06:26] I was going to be this, uh, this foosball fanatic someday, I don't know.

[00:06:30] We'll find out what she, what she would have thought.

    [00:06:32] But, um, anyway.

[00:06:33] So yeah, tonight we're going to be talking to, uh, Ginger, your wife and Kim, my wife.

[00:06:39] Um, and we're going to find out what they go through, what, what it is they suffer

    [00:06:43] from.

[00:06:43] Um, but yeah, I digress.

[00:06:46] Um, well, we have some business to discuss because just this last week, uh, we heard

[00:06:52] from Ryan Moore who has now officially launched the world foosball tour, uh, which brings to

[00:06:59] mind, uh, 2025, which is, there's already three dates on that tour.

    [00:07:04] Uh, yeah.

    [00:07:05] Wait, no, I think there's four.

[00:07:06] I think he had another one.

    [00:07:08] Did he?

    [00:07:08] Yeah.

    [00:07:37] Yeah.

[00:07:38] Uh, everything he's doing is appealing to the eye.

    [00:07:42] Right.

[00:07:42] So even the website, the website is very, it's very sleek.

[00:07:45] It's very attractive, but there's a, there's a points drop down that is under construction

[00:07:53] and it's, it's men's points, singles doubled and combined.

    [00:07:57] Really?

[00:07:57] And then women's points singles.

[00:07:59] And then the only one that's available right now is the combined top 10.

    [00:08:03] Okay.

    [00:08:04] He's got the top 10 men's players.

[00:08:05] He's got photos and he's got, he's basically saying that there's going to be a bio coming.

[00:08:11] Same thing with the same thing with the ladies, top 10 ladies combined points.

[00:08:16] And then, uh, what I'm, what I'm hoping is going to happen is the doubles and the singles.

[00:08:20] He's going to just have, he's going to have a breakdown of where you sit by points and man

[00:08:26] that, cause I know personally, that's something I've wondered, but I know other players too.

[00:08:31] It's like, man, where, you know, am I, am I a top hundred player?

    [00:08:35] Am I a top 200 player?

[00:08:36] Where do I sit on tornado?

    [00:08:38] Yeah.

[00:08:38] So, um, and then he's got, um, he's already got dates.

[00:08:43] So he's got the kickoff is set for what is that?

[00:08:46] The first weekend of February.

    [00:08:47] Okay.

    [00:08:48] Okay.

    [00:08:48] I believe.

[00:08:49] And then the Costa Rica tournaments in there.

    [00:08:52] Well, let's see.

    [00:08:53] Wisconsin.

[00:08:54] According to what I have here, uh, it's going to be, um, yep.

[00:08:57] Uh, January 30th through February 2nd is the TK.

    [00:09:00] Okay.

[00:09:01] So that's the trick off.

[00:09:02] Then, uh, February 21st through the 23rd is South Dakota, South Dakota.

[00:09:07] And then he's got, uh, the Costa Rica tournament.

    [00:09:10] Yep.

[00:09:10] And then he's got Wisconsin state.

    [00:09:12] Right.

    [00:09:12] Okay.

    [00:09:13] Okay.

[00:09:13] So they're already, they're lining up, man.

    [00:09:16] Yeah.

[00:09:16] And then he's got, he's got a link to the rules.

    [00:09:19] Mm-hmm.

    [00:09:19] Right.

[00:09:20] He's got a link to, um, where can I play?

[00:09:23] So, uh, there's actually a nationwide map with, um, pins in it and locations where you

    [00:09:31] can play.

[00:09:32] And I don't know how people are getting in touch with him to let them know that they

    [00:09:35] have live actual locations.

    [00:09:37] DYPs.

[00:09:37] But I think trick shot billiards is actually on that map.

    [00:09:41] Oh, cool.

    [00:09:41] Cool.

    [00:09:42] Okay.

[00:09:42] Well, that's good to know.

    [00:09:43] That's good to know.

    [00:09:44] So that, that's awesome.

[00:09:45] And then, um, he's also got a link to a connection to foos gear.

[00:09:50] So if you need parts or anything like that.

[00:09:52] So the website looks, it looks freaking awesome.

    [00:09:55] I saw it.

    [00:09:55] I saw it myself.

    [00:09:56] Yeah.

    [00:09:56] It's really, really nice.

    [00:09:57] Really nice.

    [00:09:58] Yeah.

[00:09:58] And then the, the logo, I mean, the logo looks really cool.

    [00:10:03] Yeah.

    [00:10:03] It looks really good.

[00:10:04] It's, it's, um, was it fan brands?

[00:10:06] I believe it's called is the name of the company that did it.

    [00:10:09] Yeah.

    [00:10:09] Yeah.

    [00:10:10] Yeah.

[00:10:10] They did a nice job.

[00:10:11] The colors, um, everything, everything looks appealing.

    [00:10:16] Everything looks appealing.

    [00:10:17] Everything looks very professional.

[00:10:19] And again, I'm not saying that what Mary did was not, but this, this just looks like

[00:10:24] it is, uh, next level stuff.

    [00:10:26] Yeah.

    [00:10:27] Yeah.

[00:10:27] So it's, uh, I, I watched the video that he posted, uh, thanking his mom, which was really,

[00:10:33] I mean, so well done.

[00:10:35] And I loved how, you know, people like Dusty Bambanek and, uh, uh, uh, Dale, um, oh God,

[00:10:42] Kenny Dale and a few others were, you know, giving personal thank yous to Mary.

    [00:10:47] Yeah.

    [00:10:47] Yeah.

[00:10:47] And then a whole group of players as well.

[00:10:49] I thought that was really well done.

[00:10:51] It was well, well shot, uh, and, and well, well produced.

[00:10:55] And Ryan, of course, at the end of the video said, Hey, here it comes, you know, world foosball

    [00:11:00] tour.

[00:11:00] And he's, he wants to take it to the next level, man.

    [00:11:03] You know?

    [00:11:04] Yeah.

    [00:11:04] Yeah.

[00:11:05] Well, I'm going to tell you as a, as a player, as a consumer, um, he's, he's one got me intrigued

    [00:11:12] to got me excited.

[00:11:13] So I'm really looking forward to supporting what he does.

[00:11:17] Uh, you know, the kickoff I've been to.

[00:11:23] The past six or seven kickoffs and they're good.

    [00:11:27] They're good.

[00:11:27] I mean, I'm, you know, um, I don't usually typically leave a kickoff, you know, disappointed.

[00:11:32] I mean, everybody looks forward to the kickoff, but man, I'm just, I'm really, really excited

[00:11:37] about the kickoff this year.

    [00:11:38] Yeah.

    [00:11:38] I really, really am.

    [00:11:39] I really am.

[00:11:40] I know two people already have booked their rooms and, and, uh, I'm sure there's plenty

    [00:11:43] more.

    [00:11:43] I've already done it.

    [00:11:45] So, yeah.

    [00:11:45] Yeah.

    [00:11:46] It's time to go.

    [00:11:47] Um, yeah.

[00:11:48] And, uh, figured, well, gee, um, maybe I'll get a couple of months off here from, from touring,

[00:11:53] but no, it's, uh, it's coming right up, you know, the end of January.

    [00:11:57] No.

    [00:11:57] So.

[00:11:58] No rest for the weary time.

    [00:12:00] Think about it.

[00:12:00] It's like we got, um, so actually the Halloween open is happening this weekend as we speak.

    [00:12:06] Uh, yes.

    [00:12:08] In Oklahoma.

[00:12:09] Um, so Ryan, I think Ryan won singles, Brandon and Ryan are sitting king seat in doubles.

[00:12:17] And, uh, there's a couple of mixed events.

    [00:12:19] They had expert events.

[00:12:20] They have a pro doubles, uh, 5,000 point limited, uh, Halloween open used to be, it used to be

[00:12:27] a really, really big event.

    [00:12:28] I'm glad they're bringing it back.

[00:12:29] It's something I always wanted to attend, never had a chance, but that's happening this

    [00:12:32] weekend.

[00:12:33] And then, um, Louisiana state December first weekend in December that's coming up.

    [00:12:39] Yep.

[00:12:40] Um, and then, well, the weekend before that, excuse me, I digress weekend before that is

[00:12:45] going to be NC state, North Carolina, North Carolina.

[00:12:47] And that's, uh, November 28th through the first.

    [00:12:51] Yes.

[00:12:52] In, uh, Asheville, Asheville, North Carolina.

[00:12:54] So, uh, Crown Plaza in Asheville, North Carolina.

[00:12:57] So hopefully, hopefully things are better there than they have been recently.

    [00:13:01] I think so.

    [00:13:02] Yeah.

    [00:13:03] Yeah.

    [00:13:03] Yeah.

    [00:13:04] Yeah.

    [00:13:04] Yeah.

[00:13:04] They, you know, they got hit pretty bad, but, um, uh, but that, that Asheville location,

[00:13:10] that Crown Plaza, I've been to a tournament there.

[00:13:13] Uh, I went to a battle of the mountains there and it's nice.

    [00:13:17] I mean, it's a resort.

    [00:13:18] It's really, really nice.

    [00:13:19] Cool.

[00:13:20] Um, so, um, I apologize.

    [00:13:24] I, I just got up, I just got a message.

[00:13:26] Anyway, um, it's pet friendly.

[00:13:29] There's a bunch of stuff to do.

    [00:13:30] It's, it's, it's just, it's a really good spot.

[00:13:32] So, um, if you can make that one, I know, uh, so NC state for years, it was a tradition.

[00:13:38] It was held on, on Thanksgiving weekend and it, you know, and then it kind of fell off

[00:13:43] for a little bit, but, uh, but the McCalls are bringing it back now.

[00:13:47] Um, it's, uh, I'm going to have to skip a, uh, uh, well, a smash down sometime.

    [00:13:53] I'll go down there.

    [00:13:54] Yeah.

    [00:13:54] Yeah.

    [00:13:54] Yeah.

    [00:13:54] It's the same weekend.

    [00:13:56] Yeah.

    [00:13:56] It's a really good event.

[00:13:58] Um, definitely something to hit.

    [00:13:59] Sure.

[00:14:00] And I think, I think, uh, did you just get a message?

    [00:14:03] I just got a message.

    [00:14:04] A message.

    [00:14:05] Oh, nothing.

    [00:14:05] Yeah.

    [00:14:06] Nothing specific.

    [00:14:07] Um, let's see.

[00:14:09] Something just came through on discord.

[00:14:11] You get a message on discord.

[00:14:13] Um, well, I'm actually not looking at that specifically.

    [00:14:16] Clear it now.

[00:14:17] So it didn't, uh, yeah, yeah.

[00:14:19] No, I think Mr. Donald's trying to see if he can jump on.

    [00:14:22] Oh, got it.

    [00:14:22] Go.

    [00:14:23] I see.

[00:14:23] Um, you should be able to, although again, I'm not looking at that.

[00:14:27] And if I, if I switch over there, it's going to mess our, our broadcast up.

    [00:14:31] So I got you.

    [00:14:32] I got you.

[00:14:33] Uh, I mean, Mr. Donald, if you, you got something, what are you doing?

    [00:14:37] You know, listen, you've, you've, you've, you've just jumped on before.

    [00:14:41] What's what's going, what's going on?

[00:14:43] Should be able to do this.

[00:14:45] You got eggs for us.

    [00:14:46] What do you got?

[00:14:48] Love to love to hear about the, the good life when it comes to, uh, living on a farm,

[00:14:53] uh, in between, in between tournaments, which she's at tournaments all year long.

[00:14:57] So he, he, he earns his, uh, he earns his time off and it's always good to hear from Donald

    [00:15:03] Wilson for sure.

    [00:15:05] Absolutely.

    [00:15:05] Let's see.

[00:15:06] Let's see if he jumps on.

[00:15:07] So, but I mean, from a foosball player's perspective, things are looking pretty good, Tom, you know, we're going to end the year.

    [00:15:14] Right.

[00:15:14] And then we're going to, you know, so between December 6th and January 31st, you know, we

[00:15:21] got two months of obviously the holidays coming family time.

    [00:15:25] Oh, sure.

[00:15:25] It's going to get a little cold and then, but then.

    [00:15:28] Well.

    [00:15:29] Hitting it hard.

[00:15:30] I mean, let's put it this way.

[00:15:32] It's winding down as it should, you know, at the near the end of their holiday.

[00:15:35] So people can just kind of, you know, chill out, but Hey man, as soon as a 2025 hits, it's let's go, you know, let's, let's make it happen.

[00:15:43] Looks like Don's on now.

[00:15:45] Don, can you hear us?

    [00:15:47] Hello, Don.

    [00:15:49] Hey, there you are.

[00:15:51] Can, can you hear us?

[00:15:54] Yeah, I can hear you.

    [00:15:56] We can hear you.

    [00:15:58] What's happening?

[00:16:03] Well, I'm going to lose two different places.

[00:16:06] Hold on just a second.

    [00:16:07] Okay.

    [00:16:09] Okay.

    [00:16:09] That's better.

[00:16:10] I had you on Twitch and I had you on discord.

    [00:16:12] Oh, got it.

    [00:16:13] Okay.

[00:16:13] So you're getting a little feedback there, huh?

    [00:16:16] Yeah.

[00:16:17] I was hearing it twice.

    [00:16:18] Right.

    [00:16:18] So, so welcome.

[00:16:20] And what, what, what's happening in your neck of the woods?

    [00:16:23] Well, I just got a notification.

[00:16:25] He was coming on and I said, you know, I hadn't been, been on there in a while or seen you on a while.

[00:16:30] So I want to jump on and see what was going on.

    [00:16:32] And nice.

[00:16:33] And I was looking for if y'all was going to have any guests tonight and I didn't know.

[00:16:38] So I just jumped on in case y'all did.

[00:16:40] I could come on and say, Hey, before y'all get started.

    [00:16:43] Yeah.

    [00:16:43] Yeah.

[00:16:43] No, we, we've got guests coming.

    [00:16:45] That's for sure.

[00:16:46] But they happen to be related to us by marriage.

    [00:16:49] Yeah.

    [00:16:49] Yeah.

[00:16:50] Oh, the real wives of Foos Talk Live.

    [00:16:54] Oh, I gotcha.

[00:16:55] Hey, that, that, that would be good.

    [00:16:58] Of course.

    [00:16:58] Yeah.

[00:16:59] We don't want mine to get on here though.

    [00:17:02] Oh, is it?

    [00:17:02] Is that true?

    [00:17:03] Is that true?

[00:17:04] Well, no, she, she, she enjoys it.

    [00:17:06] She enjoys it.

[00:17:08] She don't, she don't like the controversy and the next, you don't like the negative side of foosball.

    [00:17:13] Right.

    [00:17:14] Right.

    [00:17:14] Right.

    [00:17:14] Right.

    [00:17:14] Right.

[00:17:14] She loves the positive side.

    [00:17:16] Mm-hmm.

[00:17:18] And, and every time we've gone out of the States to play in the world cup or world championship,

    [00:17:22] she just loved it.

    [00:17:24] Right.

[00:17:24] And said, I wish that kind of atmosphere was back in the USA.

    [00:17:27] Yeah.

[00:17:28] But, you know, it's, it's, I know they're working on some things, but it's just going

[00:17:32] to take time for that.

    [00:17:34] Oh, sure.

    [00:17:34] Sure, sure.

[00:17:35] Now, so here's a question for you, Don.

[00:17:38] We were just talking about the world foosball tour.

[00:17:40] Just Ryan Moore made the official announcement this week and the website is up and working.

    [00:17:47] What, what's, what's your impression?

[00:17:48] What's going on for you when it comes to the world foosball tour?

    [00:17:51] Yeah.

    [00:17:51] What's your involvement?

[00:17:52] I'd like to know what level of involvement you're going to have, please.

    [00:17:57] It's, I, all right.

[00:18:00] Ryan has asked me to be his, um, I think we've got a little freezing going on.

    [00:18:08] It's a little delay.

    [00:18:14] Yeah.

    [00:18:15] It might've been me.

[00:18:17] I was definitely you, buddy.

    [00:18:19] Yeah.

[00:18:19] It was definitely you, buddy.

    [00:18:20] There you go.

[00:18:21] But I got high speed now.

[00:18:23] I'm, I might be rural, but, but they passed a law where you have to offer high speed and

    [00:18:28] I have it.

[00:18:28] I was just changing my background to blurred because I moved some stuff out of one room

[00:18:34] and it's all around my foosball table.

[00:18:36] So I can fix up and I haven't moved stuff back yet.

[00:18:39] So it looks kind of like, we won't hurt that.

[00:18:41] We won't hold that against you.

[00:18:43] It's like a hoarder lives here right now.

    [00:18:46] Oh, I see.

    [00:18:46] I see.

    [00:18:47] Okay.

[00:18:47] So just some stuff hadn't been moved around, but, but back to this other, Ryan had asked

[00:18:52] me if, if I would, uh, you know, be tournament director and I told him I would, and he has

    [00:18:58] a lot of ideas.

[00:18:59] I mean, when I get on the phone with Ryan full five minute conversation, but he's so excited

[00:19:08] about what's coming that I'm not at Liberty to say, because number one, I don't know it

[00:19:14] all, but I know some, but our little 10, 15 minute conversation turns into an hour.

    [00:19:21] Ooh.

[00:19:22] Maybe hour and a half.

[00:19:23] He talked to me when he was coming back from Brazil, he was stuck in Peru.

[00:19:27] We talked for two hours and 20 minutes.

    [00:19:30] Really?

[00:19:31] It's just, he's got so much he wants to do and, and, uh, he's just ready to flood the

[00:19:38] atmosphere with, with a lot of new stuff and, and new ideas.

    [00:19:43] And, uh, I'm excited.

[00:19:45] So when it comes to the, let's say the kickoff, which is happening at the end of January, um,

[00:19:51] what, what do you notice about it?

[00:19:53] I mean, obviously the appearance, the new logos are awesome, but, uh, what do you notice

[00:19:59] first about, uh, the TKO?

    [00:20:01] What's going to happen?

    [00:20:01] Uh, what's, what's different this year?

    [00:20:04] Okay.

[00:20:04] Well, right off the bat, he's paying highest place in rookies and doubles and singles and

[00:20:12] amateurs doubles and singles and expert doubles and singles.

[00:20:17] Three, the top three places.

    [00:20:20] Oh.

[00:20:20] And open doubles and open singles by those people are going to get paid.

[00:20:24] Third place gets their entry fee back.

[00:20:28] Second place gets double their entry fee back.

[00:20:30] And then third gets triple the entry fee back.

    [00:20:33] Wow.

[00:20:33] So right off the bat, that's paying more places.

[00:20:37] It is giving the, the lower ranks a shot, you know, because.

[00:20:41] It's giving them an incentive to play.

    [00:20:43] Oh, absolutely.

[00:20:44] It's giving them an incentive to play.

    [00:20:45] Let's go.

[00:20:45] Giving them a shot to get some money, you know, and, and, and, and it's enticing them to

[00:20:49] play an open so they can get that experience playing the big dogs.

    [00:20:54] Right.

    [00:20:54] Right.

[00:20:55] So, uh, so that's, that's one thing that's very exciting.

[00:20:58] I remember we used to do that back in the day, even open doubles local here in Mississippi,

[00:21:02] we would give highest amateur team something and highest rookie.

[00:21:05] We would give them something too.

    [00:21:06] Yeah.

[00:21:07] But this is, this is so cool what he's doing there.

    [00:21:09] Wow.

[00:21:10] And, uh, it's, it's just, I'm excited to see all the rest.

    [00:21:13] And there's a lot of things he's, he's, he's projecting for the future.

[00:21:17] Some might not even happen this year, but it's, but it's on the horizon to make this

[00:21:24] the, the, the easiest tournament to go to sign up, register all the good stuff and, and

[00:21:30] have the most fun and competition.

[00:21:33] So, uh, a lot of good stuff coming again.

[00:21:36] I don't know everything because, uh, we haven't talked about everything.

[00:21:40] There's still a lot of, a lot of planning, a lot of contracts being signed for tournaments

    [00:21:45] coming up.

    [00:21:46] Okay.

[00:21:46] And, uh, it's, it's just, it's just blows me away.

[00:21:50] I get excited every time I talk to him.

    [00:21:52] Cool.

[00:21:53] So, uh, it's, it's, it's a lot of fun, uh, talking to Ryan.

    [00:21:56] He's got a lot of ideas.

[00:21:57] You could tell when you get to talking to him, his mind is just, I'm waiting for it to explode.

[00:22:02] He's got so many ideas.

    [00:22:04] I mean, it's great.

    [00:22:05] I love it.

    [00:22:05] That's enthusiasm.

    [00:22:06] That's what we need.

    [00:22:07] Oh yeah.

    [00:22:08] Yeah.

    [00:22:08] Yeah.

[00:22:09] It's, it really is, uh, truly a legacy that Mary has left behind that, that deserves as

[00:22:15] much as if not more than we can possibly throw at it.

[00:22:18] You know, it's just, just to keep, keep her, her, uh, her efforts and, and, uh, and the hard

[00:22:23] work and your hard work, by the way, to keep things going like you did.

[00:22:26] And of course now Ryan, you know, he's got a player's perspective and he's one of the

[00:22:31] top players in the world.

[00:22:32] Plus he's a really great business guy.

[00:22:34] So, um, nothing but good things.

[00:22:37] Going to be a lot of good things.

[00:22:38] And, uh, just, uh, just to bring up about Mary, um, Louisiana state is going to be her

    [00:22:45] official last tournament.

    [00:22:46] Oh, that's it.

[00:22:47] And it's going to be, and it's going to be a blowout.

[00:22:50] We're just going to call it the blowout tournament.

    [00:22:52] Nice.

[00:22:53] Cause, uh, cause this is it for her.

[00:22:55] So, uh, she's even going to play.

    [00:22:57] Oh, really?

[00:22:58] She's playing in open doubles and, and, uh, open mix and possibly women open doubles.

    [00:23:03] Cool.

[00:23:03] She's coming down to have fun and play her last hoorah and, and to say, you know, her

[00:23:10] thanks and to everybody there.

[00:23:12] And, and that's just her last, uh, last, last go at it.

    [00:23:16] Very cool.

    [00:23:17] And then, and then everything's Ryan's.

    [00:23:20] Mm-hmm.

    [00:23:21] Mm-hmm.

    [00:23:22] Well, well, I, I have a question.

[00:23:24] Um, and I don't know if you can't answer it, but I'm, I'm curious and I've actually had

[00:23:28] a few people ask me, but again, I, I don't know, um, what, uh, what is going to happen

    [00:23:34] to the points?

[00:23:35] If anything, if, is, is he going to change the system?

[00:23:39] Is he going to use what's in place?

[00:23:40] Are you going to change how points are accumulated or what, you know, are you able to disclose

    [00:23:44] any of that information?

[00:23:46] Uh, I, yeah, I, I know the points are going to be revamped.

    [00:23:53] Okay.

[00:23:53] I do not know to what, well, I'm not at liberty to say what extent, um, we really haven't talked

[00:24:01] about it, but I know that's one of the things we are going to talk about because he wants

[00:24:05] to look at it and see what's most fair for everybody as far as gaining, losing points.

    [00:24:11] Okay.

[00:24:11] Um, and, and so it is going to be revamped and make it, make it, um, everything's going

[00:24:18] to be transparent by the way, like I try to do for this year.

[00:24:22] And I try to tell people exactly how points are gained and lost.

[00:24:25] And, um, so it's going to, it's going to change, but I don't know to what extent, I mean, there's

[00:24:30] talk about, you know, maybe not a new category, but, um, you know, there's a lot of, um, people

[00:24:39] that turn master that quit playing.

    [00:24:41] Yep.

[00:24:42] Cause it can't hang with the top 10 or so there's pros that turn pro that can't hang

[00:24:48] with pros and, and vice vice versa in all categories.

[00:24:53] So it's going to be kind of looked at again and just kind of see what we can do to get

[00:24:57] more people playing to stay in it.

[00:25:01] And, and, and we need a mindset of changing players to not want to fan bag as you call

    [00:25:10] it.

    [00:25:10] Yeah.

[00:25:10] But just to try to do the best you can and gain the points.

[00:25:13] I mean, you know, when I finally turned pro under the pressure of the people, because,

[00:25:19] uh, if you look at my profile, you don't see like a ton of expert wins.

[00:25:24] I mean, I only got a couple, but once I turned pro, I never was thinking about dropping back

    [00:25:31] down to expert.

[00:25:32] I don't want to keep dropping down to expert.

[00:25:34] You know, once I get there, I want to keep it.

[00:25:37] And now I'm just dangerously close to dropping back down to expert singles.

[00:25:41] And I don't want to do that.

[00:25:42] I do not want to do that.

[00:25:44] I want to stay pro, you know, to me, it's just, let's see how good I can do and stay

[00:25:48] up there, you know, but I know a lot of people don't, I, you know, I know one thing, um,

[00:25:54] and this is just going by the flyer, by the way.

[00:25:57] Um, I noticed that, uh, we're not, um, we're not emphasizing.

[00:26:06] Well, I can't say we, cause I'm not really, like I said, at Liberty say a lot of stuff,

[00:26:10] but I noticed on the flyer for TKO, I believe that rookies are just getting awards.

    [00:26:16] Okay.

    [00:26:17] And, uh, yeah.

[00:26:19] And, uh, so, you know, the money you really back in the day, rookies and amateurs really

[00:26:27] only got hardware and maybe jackets.

[00:26:30] Amateurs really didn't get money back then.

[00:26:32] You know, it's, it's once you started getting a little higher, amateurs might've got a little

[00:26:35] bit of money, but rookies always got jackets and awards and, and it's kind of spoiled players

[00:26:41] to where everybody wants money.

[00:26:42] Of course, everybody wants money.

    [00:26:44] Of course.

[00:26:44] But, you know, that's, that's also why it takes away from the upper divisions.

[00:26:48] Cause now, you know, your lower divisions are your more entries and it helps take care

    [00:26:53] of the upper groups.

[00:26:54] And so, you know, it's, it's kind of a love hate thing.

[00:26:58] You got to give them something to keep them coming, but then again, you need them to make

[00:27:02] sure the big dogs, you know, so, but he's, he's got a lot of stuff he's working on and

[00:27:08] man, like I said, his mind's always going.

[00:27:10] Um, and, and I don't help sometimes.

[00:27:13] Sometimes I threw some stuff at him today that I thought would be cool just to mess with

    [00:27:17] people.

[00:27:17] But he said, no, let's not do that.

[00:27:21] Cause, um, but I was just, you know, as a tournament director, my biggest hangup on a

[00:27:27] tournament and I'll go ahead and say this.

[00:27:28] My biggest hangup is when we call matches, getting people there to play.

    [00:27:33] And get them started.

    [00:27:35] Yep.

[00:27:36] You know, the, the rules as they stand now that IFP set forth was you have eight minutes

[00:27:41] to get to the table.

[00:27:43] If you're not there in eight minutes, the first team there gets choice of side.

[00:27:47] Then at 10 minutes, you're on recall.

    [00:27:50] Right.

    [00:27:51] For two minutes.

[00:27:52] If you're not there by the 12th minute, you forfeit your match.

    [00:27:56] Yeah.

[00:27:56] And, uh, so I was thinking, man, there might be some other things we can do.

[00:28:00] You know, I'm just shooting around in my head and maybe I should be quiet or something,

[00:28:05] but I was thinking, you know, if they're not there in eight minutes, let's, let's, let's

[00:28:09] let them lose the side end of ball.

    [00:28:12] Hmm.

    [00:28:13] Hmm.

    [00:28:14] That would be interesting.

[00:28:16] That would make them get there in eight minutes.

[00:28:18] Well, I think it would.

    [00:28:19] I think it would.

[00:28:20] And what about if we said after the eight minutes, every minute you're late, that's a point for

    [00:28:24] the other team.

[00:28:25] Oh, if they're five minutes late, they're one game down.

[00:28:30] I know nobody wants to get there one game late.

    [00:28:32] Right.

    [00:28:33] Right, right, right.

    [00:28:34] Wow.

    [00:28:34] But that's just me.

    [00:28:36] I'm just messing around.

[00:28:37] I mean, uh, he, he wants it to be a fun experience for everybody.

[00:28:41] It's not about, um, you know, we are going to have rules, of course.

    [00:28:46] Yes.

[00:28:46] We are going to have some stuff set in place, but you know, when you go to a tournament and

[00:28:51] Randy, I don't think I've ever seen you late to a table.

[00:28:54] I try not to be.

[00:28:55] I mean, it's just a matter of respect, right?

[00:28:58] Like we're all there to play and we don't want to hold it up for anybody.

    [00:29:02] So.

    [00:29:03] Right.

[00:29:03] And that's, and that's the bread and butter of a tournament.

    [00:29:06] Get into the event.

    [00:29:07] Yeah.

[00:29:07] Get into the table, get your match started.

[00:29:09] And then another important thing is putting your results in when you're done.

    [00:29:13] Yeah.

[00:29:14] And, uh, so, so that right there helps the tournament keep running and running smoothly.

    [00:29:19] I love that.

[00:29:20] Uh, the feature of being able to do that on your phone, you know, put your results in

[00:29:23] on your phone that, that takes all the, all the, uh, the extra effort out of it.

    [00:29:27] Absolutely.

[00:29:28] Then you got no excuse.

[00:29:30] As soon as the match is over.

    [00:29:32] Right.

    [00:29:33] Hey, yeah.

    [00:29:34] Good match.

    [00:29:34] Good match.

[00:29:35] And then you grab your phone and you look at the flag.

[00:29:38] I'm on table, whatever number.

[00:29:40] And then you just enter your result.

    [00:29:42] Yep.

    [00:29:42] That's it.

    [00:29:43] Yeah.

    [00:29:44] Simple.

[00:29:44] And that, uh, last year's world series, you know, when we was doing the qualifiers,

[00:29:49] we not only would, uh, put who won, we'd put, we'd put the score from each game on,

[00:29:55] on our phone and then enter it.

[00:29:57] And, and it keeps up with statistics.

[00:29:59] You know, how many games you've played the whole time you were there, how many wins,

[00:30:03] losses, your points, your, your strength against other teams and stuff like that.

[00:30:08] So that was pretty cool.

[00:30:09] And Don, we're, uh, we're, uh, we're going to hang with, uh, with, with championship format,

[00:30:13] I assume with, uh, um, well, the, the lower ranks have gone to double elimination.

    [00:30:20] Yeah.

[00:30:20] The fly, the flyer for the kickoff says pro and open our championship format, three out

[00:30:25] of five, two out of three championship format.

[00:30:27] And then expert and down two out of three double elimination.

    [00:30:31] Right.

    [00:30:31] Right.

    [00:30:31] That's what I saw.

    [00:30:32] Okay.

[00:30:33] And, you know, and again, like I said, Ryan's not wanting to ruffle any feathers.

[00:30:36] He's wanting to, but, you know, we're expecting this tour to, to start.

[00:30:42] And it's, and again, Mary's done a great job.

[00:30:46] He's kept it going for so long, you know, but whenever you have a change this big and

[00:30:53] then excitement going into it, we're expecting numbers to increase.

    [00:30:57] Pretty good.

    [00:30:58] Oh yeah.

    [00:30:59] Attendance year.

    [00:31:00] Yeah.

    [00:31:00] Right.

[00:31:01] So, so you have to prepare for more people and you can't keep doing the same thing and

    [00:31:07] have everybody happy.

    [00:31:08] Right.

[00:31:08] You know, so, so you gotta have some lead way there to do the championship or, or something

    [00:31:15] else.

[00:31:15] You know, he, let me tell you something.

[00:31:17] That guy has spent a lot of time figuring out all these different styles of play, single

    [00:31:25] elimination, double elimination, Swiss.

[00:31:27] And, and if we grow like, like we know it's going to grow, you would need over a hundred

[00:31:34] tables at every tournament to do Swiss, especially on all events.

[00:31:37] And that's just not feasible.

    [00:31:39] Right.

[00:31:39] So, so, and plus, you know, American players aren't used to that and that, you know, some

    [00:31:44] would like it.

    [00:31:45] Yeah.

[00:31:45] And, uh, and, and there can still be some tournaments that have it.

[00:31:48] You know, we already announced that the 2025 world cup is, is, is Labor Day weekend.

    [00:31:54] Dallas, Texas.

[00:31:55] And it's, uh, and if you notice the flyer, it has the golden finals are going to be there.

[00:32:01] I was wondering about that.

    [00:32:02] Oh, wow.

    [00:32:02] Everybody see that?

    [00:32:03] Yeah.

    [00:32:03] Yeah.

[00:32:04] So everybody, yeah, that's on the flyer.

[00:32:06] Everybody who's won these world series all across the world is going to be here to play

[00:32:12] for the gold and ticket finals.

[00:32:15] So his top players in the world are going to be here for this one.

[00:32:19] And if you, and if you was watching Garlando this past weekend, Tony Spreederman and Mr.

[00:32:24] Huffman, they won open doubles.

    [00:32:27] Yeah.

    [00:32:27] Nice.

[00:32:28] So there'll be, you know, so Tony will be in the golden finals.

[00:32:32] Uh, through Garlando, you know, nice.

    [00:32:36] That is cool.

[00:32:37] And with that being said, I don't know.

[00:32:41] I'm a part of the world series, but we haven't had meetings discussing everything that's going

    [00:32:45] on.

[00:32:46] We've just met on the date and we're working out the, you know, the scheduling now, but

[00:32:52] I'm assuming it's going to have to be a multi-table tournament because you have all

[00:32:58] these golden ticket winners on Bonzini.

    [00:33:00] Yeah.

    [00:33:01] On Garlando, on Leonhardt.

[00:33:03] So I'm pretty sure two things.

[00:33:05] It's going to be multi-table and then there's going to be multi-tables for sale.

    [00:33:11] Oh, interesting.

    [00:33:12] Okay.

[00:33:13] So if you're wanting some of those tables, they play over there.

[00:33:16] This is going to be probably the cheapest you can get it because the shipping will already

[00:33:19] be taken care of through customs and everything to get here.

    [00:33:22] Bring your truck.

    [00:33:23] Yeah.

[00:33:23] So I'm pretty sure they're going to have those for sale.

    [00:33:25] I haven't, again, I haven't confirmed this with Farid or anybody, but that's, that's kind

[00:33:30] of what we're looking at.

    [00:33:33] So, so this.

[00:33:34] Anyway, that's coming up in the near future, but the talk of the town is, is, is WFT.

    [00:33:41] Yep.

    [00:33:43] That's it right there.

    [00:33:44] It's exciting.

[00:33:45] I, you know, I don't think I've looked forward to a year of foosball more than 2025.

[00:33:51] I don't remember a time when I've looked forward to it more.

[00:33:54] And no, yeah, no, I'm sorry, Tom, go ahead.

[00:33:58] Yeah, no, no, it's just, that's my, my only statement.

    [00:34:00] It's like, wow, there's energy.

    [00:34:02] There's, there's stuff.

    [00:34:03] Yeah.

    [00:34:04] Yeah.

    [00:34:05] No.

[00:34:05] In, uh, in the movie, the fast and the furious, uh, there's a line from that movie where

[00:34:10] I think it's Vin Diesel says, I live my life a quarter mile at a time.

    [00:34:14] Right.

[00:34:15] And I tell people, I just live my life.

[00:34:17] Uh, one foosball at a time.

    [00:34:20] I'm just, I, I'm, I'm living my life.

[00:34:23] Like from one tournament to the next, it's like, I, I play and then I come home and I'm

[00:34:28] like, when's the next one?

[00:34:29] It's, you know, seven weeks from now.

    [00:34:31] It's like, okay.

    [00:34:32] Right.

    [00:34:33] That's 40, whatever, 49 days away.

[00:34:36] And I'm just, I'm living, I'm living each day counting down.

    [00:34:40] Okay.

[00:34:40] 48 days till I can go play foosball.

    [00:34:43] So it's, uh, yeah.

[00:34:44] And then when you get to the tournament, you're living your life, one match at a time, one ball.

    [00:34:49] Yeah.

[00:34:50] One ball at a time.

[00:34:50] One ball at a time.

[00:34:52] One game at a time.

    [00:34:53] One match.

    [00:34:53] Yep.

[00:34:54] When I'm, when I'm there, I'm questioning my life choices.

    [00:34:57] I'm like, why don't, what am I doing?

[00:35:01] We know why you're here.

    [00:35:02] That's not a question.

    [00:35:04] Come on.

    [00:35:04] Yeah.

[00:35:05] We know why you're here.

    [00:35:06] Yeah.

    [00:35:06] It's cause you, you're a badass.

    [00:35:08] That's why you're here.

    [00:35:10] So.

[00:35:10] No, cause I have a problem, Tom.

    [00:35:12] I have a problem.

[00:35:15] I'd rather be foosball than some people.

    [00:35:18] Everybody has that problem.

[00:35:19] We don't like to lose.

    [00:35:20] Mm-hmm.

    [00:35:21] Mm-hmm.

    [00:35:22] Yeah.

    [00:35:22] There is that.

    [00:35:23] There is that.

    [00:35:24] So.

    [00:35:24] Yeah.

    [00:35:25] Yeah.

    [00:35:25] But you know what?

[00:35:26] Without the losing, there's no learning.

    [00:35:28] There's no progression.

    [00:35:29] No progression.

    [00:35:30] You don't move forward.

    [00:35:31] That's right.

    [00:35:31] Correct.

    [00:35:32] Correct.

    [00:35:33] Correct.

    [00:35:33] Correct.

    [00:35:34] One of those things.

[00:35:36] So 2025 is going to be a super big year.

    [00:35:40] Yeah.

[00:35:40] With the excitement of WFT.

[00:35:43] And then we're having, and Ryan also told me that he's, he's wanting to sanction all his

    [00:35:48] events with ITSF.

    [00:35:49] Okay.

[00:35:50] To keep players to where they can gain points and, and qualify stuff.

[00:35:54] So he's, he's, he's put it out there to work with ITSF.

[00:35:58] So, uh, and then ITSF is going to have another world series here.

    [00:36:02] Okay.

    [00:36:03] Okay.

    [00:36:03] With the golden ticket.

[00:36:05] And then 2025 is also the world cup.

    [00:36:08] The world cup.

[00:36:09] And world championships over in Zaragoza, Spain.

    [00:36:12] Right.

[00:36:12] So that, so it's a big year for foosball.

    [00:36:15] Huge.

[00:36:16] Um, I think I'm going to have to quit my job.

    [00:36:19] Plain and simple.

    [00:36:20] Just quit my job.

[00:36:22] You know, tell the wife, Hey, paycheck, may check.

    [00:36:26] Who needs that?

[00:36:27] Look, I will say this.

[00:36:29] If you ever thought about going overseas, just to go on a vacation, do it at a foosball

    [00:36:37] tournament.

[00:36:37] You will see people in love with the game.

    [00:36:42] There's no politics.

[00:36:43] There's no country against country.

[00:36:46] It is just about the sport of the game and everybody gets along.

    [00:36:50] That's cool.

[00:36:50] You know, that's really, um, I even saw a thing on Facebook, uh, not to get political about

[00:36:56] everything, but, um, well, you know, it's on Facebook, so it's public, right?

[00:37:02] Um, they had a team Russia.

[00:37:06] Um, they're allowed to play in the, uh, individual events.

[00:37:10] Oh, but not the team event.

[00:37:13] And so they're on Facebook just saying, Hey, we've looked, we're foosball players.

[00:37:17] You know, we, we, we don't, we just want to play foosball.

    [00:37:20] Okay.

[00:37:21] You know, are they going to be, are they going to be tested for PEDs?

    [00:37:24] I don't know what that, I don't know what that is.

[00:37:27] Performance or performance enhancing drugs.

[00:37:29] Oh, you know, you know, I.

    [00:37:31] In foosball.

[00:37:33] There's, there is, there, there is.

[00:37:36] We, uh, ITSF has adopted a drug anti-drug program.

[00:37:40] And, and, and last year it was, uh, introduced.

    [00:37:45] Oh.

[00:37:46] And now it's, now it's, if you go to their website, you'll see it.

[00:37:49] So now that it's been introduced, now it's in place.

    [00:37:53] Okay.

    [00:37:54] Hmm.

[00:37:54] So if there's any suspicion that somebody's doing that, they have the right.

    [00:38:00] Okay.

    [00:38:00] To do that.

    [00:38:01] So.

    [00:38:02] Okay.

    [00:38:03] But, you know.

[00:38:05] Well, you know, the Russians got busted for, you know, for blood doping.

[00:38:10] Uh, they got an Olympic band cause they were blood doped.

    [00:38:13] So that's.

    [00:38:13] Yeah.

    [00:38:13] That's why I asked.

[00:38:14] I don't think Russia would try to do that to foosball players.

    [00:38:17] Cause they.

    [00:38:18] You never know, Tom.

[00:38:20] I mean, you never know, Mr.

[00:38:21] That's all about the win.

    [00:38:22] Yeah.

    [00:38:22] Yeah.

[00:38:23] You know, but you know, something else too, Randy.

[00:38:27] And, and I'll say this all the time.

[00:38:33] Drug enhancement only helps you if your game's already good.

    [00:38:37] True.

    [00:38:39] True.

[00:38:41] If your game's no good, you're just going to suck more.

    [00:38:45] Yeah.

    [00:38:46] Yeah.

    [00:38:47] Good point.

    [00:38:48] Yeah.

    [00:38:48] That's true.

[00:38:48] I mean, you can't take drugs and all of a sudden you got an awesome fire row and awesome

    [00:38:52] shot.

    [00:38:52] It don't do that.

    [00:38:53] Correct.

    [00:38:54] Correct.

    [00:38:55] Yeah.

[00:38:55] All those, all those muscles aren't going to help you play better.

    [00:38:58] That's true.

    [00:38:59] That's right.

[00:38:59] Well, I will confess there's a few legal things that one can take that I've been sampling in

[00:39:05] a few tournaments and it's worked pretty well.

[00:39:07] There's the thing called zip viz and I'm not doing a commercial for these guys.

[00:39:11] It's don't, don't take it the wrong way, but zip is, is, is an over the counter.

[00:39:15] It's got lots of vitamins and minerals and, you know, some B12, B6, this kind of stuff,

[00:39:22] but a little bit of caffeine, a little bit of caffeine and no sugar.

[00:39:25] Sounds like, sounds like candy.

[00:39:28] Sounds like a lot of numbers and letters.

[00:39:30] It's a lot of numbers and letters, but I have to say it's, it's really helped my game.

    [00:39:35] Really helped my game.

    [00:39:36] Oh yeah.

[00:39:37] Did it give you a five man?

[00:39:39] Did it give you a slamming pool?

    [00:39:41] Or what?

[00:39:42] I mean, already had a good pool, but it's.

    [00:39:44] Okay.

[00:39:44] So just gave you endurance.

    [00:39:46] Endurance and focus.

    [00:39:48] Yeah.

[00:39:49] The things, and especially when, you know, it's, it's ball for ball.

[00:39:52] I can, I really feel like I get in the zone much easier.

    [00:39:55] Okay.

    [00:39:55] That makes sense.

    [00:39:56] There's, there's a, my wife and I, we do a thing called Plexus.

    [00:40:01] Okay.

[00:40:01] And it's a health and wellness program that do a lot of stuff.

[00:40:04] And they come out with something called edge and edge helps you focus.

    [00:40:10] It helps with endurance.

[00:40:13] And it, and it, uh, just gives you energy.

    [00:40:16] Yeah.

[00:40:17] That's not the kind you get from caffeine.

[00:40:19] You don't have a crash and burn.

    [00:40:21] Right.

[00:40:22] And I did that for a while, but, uh, you know, like with all things, I just kind of quit.

    [00:40:28] Yeah.

[00:40:29] See, it seems like I did it.

[00:40:30] I did it back when I was winning all them tournaments and senior, but I don't think that's it either because I just got into the senior division.

[00:40:37] And now that everybody, all the other masters are back up in there.

[00:40:40] That's why I'm not winning them all.

    [00:40:41] So.

[00:40:44] I'm on the, just on the South edge of 66 here.

    [00:40:47] Yeah.

[00:40:47] And if I can, if I can do something like a zip fizz, which is, is mixed with water, by the way, just 20 ounces of water.

    [00:40:53] Yeah.

[00:40:54] You know, you don't drink it all at once.

[00:40:55] You just, you know, you, you take a little bit at a time and it just keeps you right there.

    [00:41:00] Right.

[00:41:00] Where you need to, in the focus in that slot where you need to focus and, and, uh, and hit those, those crucial passes and shots.

[00:41:05] And that's all it does really.

    [00:41:08] Right.

[00:41:08] So it sounds, that sounds about like our active we have in the company.

[00:41:11] It's, uh, it just keeps you going.

    [00:41:14] It keeps you going.

    [00:41:15] Exactly.

[00:41:15] And it's not, like I said, it's not no.

    [00:41:17] Oh, there's no jittery.

    [00:41:18] None of that stuff.

    [00:41:19] Yeah.

    [00:41:19] Nope.

    [00:41:20] Nothing like that.

    [00:41:20] I don't get into fights.

    [00:41:22] Yeah.

[00:41:23] But I do that to stay awake running the tournament.

[00:41:28] After being there at nine o'clock about two in the morning, I'd be.

    [00:41:31] Right.

[00:41:32] But doing that, I'm like, okay, let's go.

    [00:41:35] Come on.

[00:41:35] I think we squeeze in one more match.

    [00:41:37] Of course.

    [00:41:39] Yeah.

    [00:41:39] We're calling.

    [00:41:40] We're calling until two.

    [00:41:41] It's one 55.

[00:41:43] We can call one, one, just, you know, you know, and I hate to do that, but sometimes we have to get these last few matches to kind of get it evened up.

    [00:41:51] But the worst thing.

[00:41:53] And I hate to do it, but it happens.

[00:41:55] And I know I make enemies doing this.

[00:41:57] And if anybody's on here watching and I've done this to you, I am sorry.

[00:42:01] But when we say two o'clock, we say two o'clock.

    [00:42:05] I've called a match at 159.

    [00:42:07] So-and-so, you're on table.

[00:42:09] You're on table, so-and-so, because we need to get that match off.

    [00:42:12] All right?

    [00:42:13] So you're up.

[00:42:14] As soon as I get through, I say, now, if you're not in a match, you're done for the night.

    [00:42:18] Yeah.

    [00:42:19] That's the killer.

[00:42:20] I should wait at least 10 minutes before I say that.

    [00:42:23] Right.

[00:42:24] Instead of calling them up, then say, hey, if you're not in a match, you're done.

    [00:42:31] So that's bad.

[00:42:32] But, you know, like I said.

    [00:42:33] That's a kick in the junk.

    [00:42:34] Yeah.

    [00:42:35] It is.

    [00:42:35] It is.

[00:42:36] But, you know, the next day we have tournaments all starting over.

[00:42:39] And we have certain areas.

[00:42:41] Like, we might want to get at least a seventh eighth.

[00:42:43] Or we might want to get at least a fifth sixth.

[00:42:45] So we have to get there.

[00:42:47] Or we just totally messed up for the next day.

[00:42:49] And I know those people don't want to come in at 9 o'clock and start back up.

    [00:42:53] Right.

    [00:42:53] Oh.

    [00:42:54] You know?

[00:42:55] So we got to play those matches.

[00:42:57] And, you know, honestly, most of them, except for the complainers, would rather finish it up that night.

[00:43:03] Because they might not be hot the next day.

    [00:43:06] Yeah.

[00:43:06] So I've seen it every which way.

    [00:43:09] There's some of that.

    [00:43:10] There's some of that.

    [00:43:10] Yeah.

    [00:43:11] It's true.

    [00:43:11] Definitely.

    [00:43:12] Definitely.

    [00:43:12] Yeah.

[00:43:13] But anyway, I got three more years.

[00:43:15] So I get, I just turned 60 this weekend.

    [00:43:18] Oh, nice.

    [00:43:19] Happy birthday.

    [00:43:20] Thank you.

[00:43:21] So I'm looking for the 63 and older now.

[00:43:24] I just got three more years and I can get up in that grade.

    [00:43:26] Look out.

[00:43:27] Because I don't think, I don't think the Masters would want to go play in the 63 and older.

    [00:43:31] Maybe 50 and older.

    [00:43:32] Well.

    [00:43:32] But I don't think they'll go in the 63 and older.

[00:43:34] Well, there are some good players.

[00:43:35] When I did the ITSF tournament this last year in Dallas, I was in the 63 plus tournament.

[00:43:41] And yeah, there was some damn good players there.

    [00:43:44] Yeah.

    [00:43:44] Oh, yeah.

    [00:43:45] I'm not saying they're not.

[00:43:46] But they didn't have to mess around with Tracy McMillan.

    [00:43:49] Yeah.

    [00:43:50] That's true.

[00:43:50] And, you know, Dave Gommerson.

    [00:43:52] Yeah.

    [00:43:53] And Todd Lafredo.

    [00:43:54] And, you know.

    [00:43:56] Well, Lafredo is 63, I think.

    [00:43:58] I know.

    [00:43:58] But he won't ever play 63.

    [00:43:59] I promise.

    [00:44:00] Okay.

    [00:44:01] Okay.

[00:44:01] It's tough enough to get him to play 50.

[00:44:05] Because he can still hang with the young man.

    [00:44:07] Yes, he can.

    [00:44:08] Yes, he can.

[00:44:10] Just a quick question for you, Don.

[00:44:12] You know, with Louisiana State coming up, is there any possibility you think we could

[00:44:17] talk Mary into coming on before the big tournament, her final tournament?

    [00:44:21] I'm sure she would.

    [00:44:22] Okay.

    [00:44:23] Good.

    [00:44:24] Let's do that.

[00:44:24] I'll call her and tell her you'd like to do that.

[00:44:27] I'd love to do that.

    [00:44:28] Love to do that.

[00:44:29] Just because it's the last.

    [00:44:31] Love to do that.

    [00:44:32] Love to do that.

[00:44:32] What's going through her mind and, you know.

    [00:44:34] Yeah.

    [00:44:34] Yeah.

    [00:44:35] Well, you know what?

[00:44:36] Knowing Mary for so long and talking to her, I have never heard her this happy.

    [00:44:44] Really?

    [00:44:45] Yeah.

    [00:44:45] Good for her.

    [00:44:46] Yeah.

[00:44:46] She is so excited about going to tournaments if she wants to, not going if she don't want

    [00:44:52] to, watching grandkids.

    [00:44:54] Sure.

[00:44:54] Uh, the biggest thing she did, and she'll probably talk about this is, I think it was

[00:45:00] either last weekend or last week.

[00:45:02] She went to a place called King's Island, which is, I guess, like a Six Flags or something.

[00:45:08] And she said, I went for five days in a row.

    [00:45:13] I rode roller coasters.

    [00:45:14] I was crazy.

[00:45:15] She got her grandkids to go.

[00:45:17] She told me, she told her grandkids, now nobody get a job.

[00:45:20] Y'all, y'all don't get a job because grandma won't, granny wants to take you out or whatever

    [00:45:24] they call her.

[00:45:25] Not, I, I, Gaga wants to take you to every amusement park we can.

    [00:45:30] I mean, she's, she's loving it.

    [00:45:33] Great.

    [00:45:34] Yeah.

[00:45:34] That's, that's gotta be, I mean, the, the, the kind of time and effort you put into what,

[00:45:39] what she's done after all this time, it deserve a rest.

    [00:45:43] It deserves it.

[00:45:44] Well, you know, she's, you know, I take up for a lot on Facebook because I know behind

[00:45:51] the scenes, you know, I know in front of the scenes, I know behind the scenes, a lot

[00:45:55] of stuff she gets accused of is just not true.

    [00:45:58] Yeah.

[00:45:59] It's just, but it's much fussing and arguing and just downright getting screened at.

[00:46:08] I've seen her get cussed at, fussed at, all kinds of stuff at tournaments.

    [00:46:12] Wow.

[00:46:12] And just putting up with that time after time, knowing sincerely, and then she's got some big

[00:46:17] time, you know, people that think otherwise.

    [00:46:21] Sure.

[00:46:21] But she definitely tries to do what's best for the tour.

    [00:46:25] Oh yeah.

[00:46:25] But you gotta understand it's also a business.

[00:46:28] Well, it's not something I just want to break even at.

    [00:46:31] Yeah.

    [00:46:31] You can't change that.

    [00:46:32] You can't.

    [00:46:33] That's, that's her job.

    [00:46:34] It's something to do.

[00:46:35] But with that being said, she always tries, she would never do anything to hurt her business.

    [00:46:40] Right.

[00:46:40] You know, who would do something to know attendance would stop or slow down.

    [00:46:44] Yeah.

[00:46:44] So everything she tries to do is for the players and for the better of the sport.

[00:46:49] And, uh, she gets a bad rap, you know, well, a bum rap sometimes.

[00:46:53] And I, I try to speak into what I do know.

[00:46:57] And just like when points, everybody's arguing about points.

[00:46:59] Well, I dug into it and I, I got an explanation on how the points are done.

[00:47:03] And the only thing I never got from the programmer was what are the bonus points?

    [00:47:09] What percentage?

[00:47:10] I know, I know it's, you add up all the points to everybody in there.

[00:47:14] Then you divide it by something.

[00:47:15] And then I don't know what the percentages is for first three, fifth, six or seventh, eight,

    [00:47:19] depending on the size.

    [00:47:21] Okay.

    [00:47:21] Okay.

[00:47:21] Because, because she said, I can't tell you because it changes depending on the strength

[00:47:27] of the field and the amount of players that, that number changes.

    [00:47:30] So I can't say, well, they get 50%.

[00:47:32] They get, you know, it's hard to just pinpoint it, but we've got as close as we could, you

[00:47:37] know, pretty much on how points are gained.

[00:47:40] And, uh, I was, I was happy, you know, enough to do, to tell what I knew.

[00:47:44] And that kind of helps some people out.

[00:47:46] Even Clay Tooman, who was a big, uh, big opponent against points and everything.

[00:47:50] Once he, he got explained how the points are basically done.

[00:47:54] He said, that's all he wanted was to know how it's done.

    [00:47:56] Yeah.

[00:47:57] You know, and if we ever could have got 10 percentages, we'd have been dead on.

    [00:48:00] And now he's a big defender.

[00:48:01] He's a big defender of the points.

    [00:48:02] Yeah.

    [00:48:03] So, yeah, yeah.

    [00:48:04] It's, it's, uh, it's like everything else, right?

[00:48:06] Uh, people can assume certain things because they haven't looked into it enough and, uh,

[00:48:11] you, you can't, you just, you have to, you have to give people, uh, especially

[00:48:15] somebody like Mary, who's, who's got so many things going on in a single day that most

[00:48:19] of us couldn't handle in a year.

[00:48:21] Um, you got to give her the, you know, you got to give her a bit of a, uh, the benefit

[00:48:25] of the doubt and say, Hey, listen, just, just explain it to me.

[00:48:27] I just want to know how this works.

    [00:48:29] Yeah.

[00:48:30] Oh, you don't understand talking to different hotels, trying to get the ballroom down to

    [00:48:34] the cheapest price.

    [00:48:35] It's never free.

    [00:48:36] Right.

[00:48:36] The ballroom is never free.

[00:48:38] You try to get down to the cheapest you can.

[00:48:40] You try to get the room rates down where players have come.

    [00:48:42] Mm-hmm.

[00:48:42] There's always this, always that you have to, if you have concession, you got to sell

[00:48:47] at least 3000 or 5,000 worth of merchandise, you know, out of the concession or you got

    [00:48:53] to pay the difference.

[00:48:54] So there's always a lot of stuff you got to think about when you go to these tournaments

[00:48:58] and people just don't realize they just say, Oh, let's have a tournament this weekend.

    [00:49:02] All right.

    [00:49:02] Everybody come.

    [00:49:03] I'm going to make a kill.

[00:49:05] And all you still got to pay for trophies.

[00:49:07] You got to pay for the arena.

[00:49:08] You got to pay for your employees to come up there.

[00:49:11] You got to, you know, there's a lot of stuff you got to do and people just think it's easy.

[00:49:16] And me and Kristen, we joke around all the time.

[00:49:20] Anybody who complains about a tournament should be forced to work at least one tournament.

[00:49:24] Oh, I think that would be a great idea.

    [00:49:25] A great idea.

[00:49:27] And, and host one of their own and let them, let them, let them do that.

[00:49:32] And then I promise you they'll, they'll start singing a different tune.

    [00:49:35] Yeah.

[00:49:35] I don't, it's again, you have to walk a mile in someone else's shoes before you can say anything.

    [00:49:40] Oh, absolutely.

[00:49:40] You know, you're really good.

[00:49:42] It's, we're just in, in the New York state area, we've been trying for the last, I don't

[00:49:47] know, six or seven months, just to secure a venue to do a, a regional or state tournament.

[00:49:52] And we've, we discovered there's very, very few that have a large enough space in our

    [00:49:57] area.

[00:49:58] And then if they do, man, they're not really interested.

    [00:50:03] Yeah.

[00:50:03] And they're not, they're not wanting to give it away.

[00:50:05] I mean, you're looking at most places anywhere from a thousand to $1,500 a night.

[00:50:12] You know, some are just giving you a flat rate of 8,000.

    [00:50:15] I mean, that's, I mean, it's crazy.

    [00:50:17] That's a lot of money, man.

    [00:50:18] Yeah.

[00:50:19] That's a, I think, I think the last Mississippi state, well, the Mississippi state two years

[00:50:23] ago, I think she accidentally misquoted me and told me, she said, all right, I'll let

[00:50:27] you have the room for, for, uh, 550 a night.

    [00:50:33] Yeah.

    [00:50:34] Uh-huh.

    [00:50:35] Okay.

    [00:50:36] I'm like, okay.

[00:50:38] And so I, uh, that's four nights.

    [00:50:40] Yeah.

[00:50:41] And I said, you need to give me, you need to give me set up and tear down for free though.

[00:50:45] So she said, okay, we don't have nothing scheduled.

    [00:50:47] No problem.

[00:50:48] And then she said, okay, well, we can do that.

[00:50:51] And now we walked this whole hotel.

[00:50:54] And then when she's come and told me when I, when I went to pay her, she said, well, there's

    [00:51:00] four rooms.

    [00:51:02] Four rooms.

[00:51:03] I said, yeah, but yeah, there's four divider walls.

    [00:51:05] Oh, really?

    [00:51:06] Four ballrooms.

    [00:51:07] Yeah.

[00:51:08] And I said, no, we talked about this whole space.

[00:51:11] She said, well, that's my bad.

[00:51:12] She said, I'll go ahead and honor it to you.

[00:51:15] So she was wanting 550 for a room.

    [00:51:17] Oh, okay.

    [00:51:19] Times four.

    [00:51:19] A quarter.

    [00:51:20] Times four nights.

    [00:51:21] Times four nights.

    [00:51:21] Oh.

[00:51:21] And, uh, and then when I went to set up last year, I said, I want the same schedule, same

[00:51:26] price that I got last time.

[00:51:28] And she says she would.

    [00:51:29] Wow.

    [00:51:29] So.

    [00:51:30] Okay.

[00:51:30] So I worked that out, but you know, they can charge whatever they want.

[00:51:33] We're the ones needing it, you know?

    [00:51:35] Right.

[00:51:37] But anyway, so there's a lot of dots you got to do.

[00:51:39] A lot you got to work out.

[00:51:40] And you've got to have a hotel that, that, uh, you know, has, has decent accommodations

[00:51:44] and, uh, you know, and easy to get to from, uh, from, uh, let's say airports

    [00:51:48] and things like this.

    [00:51:49] Yeah.

[00:51:49] So many considerations, so many things to think about.

    [00:51:53] Yeah.

[00:51:53] The hotel we was at last, last year, I like it.

[00:51:56] The ballroom is great and they already want me to come back.

    [00:52:00] Good.

[00:52:02] But they do this thing on the weekend that I can't control is if you come on the weekend,

[00:52:06] you have to buy two nights, Friday and Saturday.

    [00:52:09] Oh, for the rooms.

    [00:52:10] Yeah.

    [00:52:11] Yeah.

    [00:52:11] So.

    [00:52:12] Yeah.

[00:52:12] So most people are going to be there anyway, Friday and Saturday night, but they also go

[00:52:15] up on Friday, Saturday night.

[00:52:16] Cause let's face it, you're on the coast.

[00:52:18] They can sell those rooms anyway.

    [00:52:19] Right.

    [00:52:19] Right.

[00:52:20] So they wanted to charge me $179 and I told them no, no, no, no, no.

    [00:52:25] Per night.

    [00:52:26] Per night.

    [00:52:27] And I said, last time it wasn't, but 120, 129.

    [00:52:32] Really?

[00:52:33] And I told them I would meet them a little bit halfway.

[00:52:35] And I think, I think I finally got it down to 149.

    [00:52:38] I think.

[00:52:39] But anyway, so here I am.

[00:52:41] My son lives about 15 minutes away.

[00:52:45] So I was going to stay with him.

[00:52:47] But as a tournament goes on, Mark's, you know, Mark was saying, dude, you're up late and you

[00:52:51] had to get here early.

[00:52:52] Let's go ahead and get a room for Saturday night and Sunday night.

[00:52:56] So I said, okay, well, when I got my bill, they charged me for Friday.

    [00:53:00] Oh.

    [00:53:00] Saturday and Sunday.

[00:53:02] Because if you stay Friday or Saturday, you had to pay for two nights.

    [00:53:05] Oh, damn.

    [00:53:06] Yeah.

[00:53:07] And so I didn't like it, but I said it's in the contract.

[00:53:10] So I had to do it.

    [00:53:11] Mm-hmm.

[00:53:12] So I'm going to talk to him about that because some people just come on Saturday.

    [00:53:16] Right.

    [00:53:17] Oh, that's true.

[00:53:18] And so, you know, the owners of that place, like me and Mark, they were there two years

[00:53:24] ago, getting some plans to remodel, which they did remodel down there.

    [00:53:28] Mm-hmm.

[00:53:28] And he says, hey, y'all ever thought about going to Tennessee?

    [00:53:31] I said, actually, yeah.

[00:53:32] They said, well, we have five locations in the Pigeon Forge area.

[00:53:36] How about y'all come running a tournament up there somewhere?

    [00:53:38] Hmm.

[00:53:39] And then Mark said, well, I wish I had a truck.

    [00:53:42] He said, we'll rent y'all some U-Hauls.

    [00:53:44] Really?

[00:53:45] And I'm thinking, they want us pretty bad.

    [00:53:47] I guess.

[00:53:47] But they came in there Saturday night when it was the busiest, and they kind of liked

[00:53:51] the operation we had and how we did it.

[00:53:53] And he said he would love to have us up there.

[00:53:55] Now we haven't pursued it.

    [00:53:56] Mm-hmm.

[00:53:57] But, you know, I think I can say, hey, you know, y'all need to give me a break on this

[00:54:01] Friday, Saturday night deal, being, you know, that I have to be there to run it.

    [00:54:06] So, you know.

    [00:54:07] Very, very.

[00:54:08] I might have to throw around some names.

[00:54:13] Like, do you know this person here, blah, blah, blah?

    [00:54:15] Oh, wow.

    [00:54:16] He's the owner.

    [00:54:16] Yeah.

    [00:54:17] Yeah.

[00:54:17] He said, you need to work with me.

    [00:54:19] Ooh, there you go.

[00:54:20] Sometimes you got to work.

[00:54:21] You got to work the system.

[00:54:22] Actually, yeah, I do have his phone number, by the way.

    [00:54:25] Nice.

    [00:54:26] Nice.

[00:54:26] Because he wanted me to give him a call and try to get set up.

[00:54:28] But the only thing is he wanted to do it, like, in December through, like, March.

[00:54:35] And I told him, ew.

    [00:54:36] Mm-hmm.

    [00:54:37] Ew.

    [00:54:38] Well, you know what?

[00:54:39] No, that's a nice time to go to Pigeon Forge.

    [00:54:42] Sure.

    [00:54:42] Is it really?

[00:54:43] You don't have to worry about a lot of snow and ice and stuff on the road?

[00:54:46] I mean, you know, yeah, of course.

[00:54:49] But, like, my wife and I are going up this weekend, coming up next weekend.

[00:54:53] I mean, we love it up there.

    [00:54:55] It's, I mean, you know, it's touristy.

    [00:54:58] There's touristy stuff.

[00:54:58] But if you're going up there with intent, with purpose, it's really nice.

    [00:55:03] There's tons of food.

[00:55:04] There's stuff to do, stuff to see.

    [00:55:07] We absolutely love it.

    [00:55:09] We stankin' love it.

[00:55:10] So if you guys do something up there, I'll be there.

[00:55:14] I'll be there for sure.

    [00:55:15] Nice.

    [00:55:16] Nice.

    [00:55:16] Okay.

[00:55:17] Well, I've been there a few times.

[00:55:19] And actually, there's a place, a friend of mine that I used to work at the skating rink back in the 70s.

[00:55:26] He went on to be well off.

[00:55:31] And he owned a resort, Smoky Mountain Resort, right across the street from Dollywood, up in the mountains.

    [00:55:38] Yeah, cool.

[00:55:39] And so I called him up.

[00:55:41] I said, hey, man, I'm coming up this way.

[00:55:44] What can you do for me?

[00:55:45] He said, I'll get you fixed up.

[00:55:47] So he got me the room, like, real cheap up there.

    [00:55:50] It was a big three-story cabin, which I didn't need.

[00:55:53] But it had a tornado foosball table in there.

    [00:55:56] Did it really?

    [00:55:56] Nice.

    [00:55:57] Yeah.

[00:55:57] And they had the handles and men on the wrong side.

    [00:56:02] Oops.

    [00:56:03] Perfect.

[00:56:04] So my son, instead of me fixing it, my son said, let's try it.

[00:56:08] So here I am trying to hit it backwards because that's my goal.

    [00:56:11] And he's there.

    [00:56:12] And he beat me.

[00:56:14] My son that's in the military that's down there in blood, he beat me.

[00:56:17] And I said, all right, let's go again.

    [00:56:18] He said, uh-uh.

    [00:56:19] I beat a champ.

    [00:56:20] I'm good.

[00:56:21] He never would play me again.

[00:56:23] So anyway, I talked to my friend who owned the place.

[00:56:27] And I said, how many of these tables y'all got?

[00:56:29] He said, we have 17 of them.

    [00:56:31] Whoa.

[00:56:32] I said, well, you have them hooked up backwards.

[00:56:35] I said, look, I can fix about three or four every time I come up here.

[00:56:40] So you hook me up with a free stay and I'll try to get you hooked up.

    [00:56:45] Nice.

[00:56:46] He said, all right, let's talk about it.

[00:56:48] Well, needless to say, that next year he sold it and got out of it.

    [00:56:52] Ah, too bad.

    [00:56:53] Too bad.

[00:56:54] Now, there's still 17 tables up there backwards at those resorts.

[00:56:59] I mean, some of them were like a honeymoon cabin up to like a six-person cabin, eight.

[00:57:04] Then they have those three-story, like a hotel that does like youth groups and stuff.

[00:57:10] And they have a foosball table, ping pong, and air hockey on each floor.

[00:57:14] So I just, I see all the tornado tables up there backwards.

    [00:57:17] Oh.

    [00:57:18] Crazy.

    [00:57:19] Wow.

    [00:57:19] That hurts my feelings.

    [00:57:21] Right?

[00:57:21] It's just like when you walk through Sears or something, you see a table in there and they got it hooked up wrong.

[00:57:25] It makes me want to talk to somebody to fix it.

[00:57:29] Or just, or at least write like a strongly worded letter.

    [00:57:33] Yeah.

    [00:57:33] Yeah.

[00:57:36] No, it's the whole idea of just putting on an event and making it happen and making it fun and making sure it's memorable.

[00:57:44] All of that stuff, it takes a long time to figure out how to do that.

[00:57:47] Get it down like any other activity we do in life.

[00:57:52] We have to get good at it after a while.

    [00:57:54] Yeah.

[00:57:55] You know, and it doesn't, it's not something that's going to happen overnight necessarily.

    [00:57:58] So, but yeah.

[00:57:59] So we're, we are psyched about 2025.

[00:58:02] Really, really looking forward to that.

[00:58:04] I mean, I love the logos he has.

[00:58:06] I mean, he spent some time and money into that.

[00:58:08] I know he told everybody about the branding and who's doing it.

[00:58:12] The one who does major league baseball.

    [00:58:13] Fan brands.

    [00:58:15] Yeah.

[00:58:15] And if you look at the baseball logo where it's got the white outline with the red and blue and the guy off the bat.

[00:58:22] And then you look at the tornado with the figure between the green and the black.

[00:58:25] So that kind of, I told him you ought to make a car tag like that.

    [00:58:29] So that'd be cool.

[00:58:30] That would be really cool.

[00:58:32] Now, I think that when it comes to today's anything, when it comes to whether you're, I don't know,

[00:58:40] a performer or you're someone who does a special kind, specialized kind of work.

[00:58:47] It's all about your branding.

[00:58:48] You know, if you've got a small business where you're providing services to other people, it's how you brand yourself.

[00:58:54] And foosball is no exception.

[00:58:56] And, and, and there's Ryan doing it right, right out of the, right out of the gate.

    [00:59:03] Yep.

    [00:59:04] I'm excited.

[00:59:04] I'm looking forward to it.

    [00:59:05] Yeah.

[00:59:06] Hey, Randy, I like your shirt, man.

    [00:59:08] No, I like yours.

[00:59:09] I think we got it out of the same drawer.

    [00:59:14] Is that the Hanes?

    [00:59:15] The Hanes white t-shirt?

    [00:59:17] I don't know what mine is.

[00:59:18] I know it's a tagless shirt, whatever it is.

    [00:59:20] I, I don't even have a white t-shirt.

    [00:59:23] This is it.

[00:59:24] This is all I wear is the back.

[00:59:25] I wear a t-shirt even in foosball under my shirts.

    [00:59:29] Okay.

[00:59:29] I wear two, I wear two shirts, always two shirts.

    [00:59:31] But I mean, I'm, I'm like, listen, from here, I'm, I'm going straight.

[00:59:35] I'm going to let my dog out and then I'm going to bed.

[00:59:37] So I'm just, you know, I'm putting around the house.

[00:59:40] But when I leave the house, I have two shirts on always two t-shirts, white t-shirt.

[00:59:43] And then whatever I'm wearing over it.

    [00:59:45] Always, always.

    [00:59:46] Well, that's what happened.

[00:59:47] I got off from church.

[00:59:48] I took my outer shirt off and just got my t-shirt.

    [00:59:51] Yeah.

    [00:59:51] Yeah.

    [00:59:51] It doesn't matter if it's 120 degrees out.

    [00:59:53] I'm wearing two, two t-shirts.

[00:59:54] We're so glad you could dress up for the show.

    [00:59:56] That's awesome.

    [00:59:57] Yeah.

[00:59:58] I mean, listen, at least I'm dressed.

[01:00:00] Hey, Tom, the way I see it now, looking at everything, you didn't get the memo.

    [01:00:04] Uh-oh.

    [01:00:06] Apparently not.

[01:00:07] Me and Randy's in dress code.

    [01:00:11] The white t-shirt.

[01:00:13] Well, you have to send me one because I don't own a white t-shirt.

[01:00:16] At least not one that I can wear.

[01:00:19] How do you live in the state of New York and you don't own a wife beater?

    [01:00:22] I need not a wife beater.

    [01:00:24] Wrong neighborhood.

    [01:00:26] Wrong neighborhood.

[01:00:27] I've never heard that before.

    [01:00:29] Wife beater.

[01:00:30] Oh, it's, uh, you ever see the, um, the raging bull?

[01:00:33] Do you ever see that movie?

    [01:00:35] Uh, I've seen it.

    [01:00:36] Yeah.

    [01:00:37] Boxing movie.

    [01:00:37] Yeah.

    [01:00:37] Oh yeah.

    [01:00:38] Robert De Niro.

    [01:00:39] Yeah.

    [01:00:39] Robert De Niro.

[01:00:40] Oh, he, he, he brought new heights, new meanings to the wife beater for sure.

    [01:00:44] Oh, okay.

    [01:00:45] I don't remember that.

[01:00:46] So I might have to watch it again.

    [01:00:47] Oh, it's, yeah.

[01:00:49] It's a, it's one that just can't get out of your mind.

[01:00:51] When you see it, you'll never get out of your head.

[01:00:53] The white, the white sleeveless t-shirt.

[01:00:56] It was like, oh God.

    [01:00:57] Oh, wow.

[01:00:58] But Hey, we're not here to talk about fashion.

[01:01:01] We're here to talk about foosball.

    [01:01:02] Yeah.

[01:01:03] And I have a feeling that, uh, there's going to be some new t-shirts coming out with the,

[01:01:07] uh, I don't know, world foosball tournament league thing on the, on the t-shirt.

    [01:01:13] You know what?

[01:01:14] I would be, I would, I would be, I would say there is, you know, just going to be plain

    [01:01:19] white t-shirts.

    [01:01:20] Yes.

    [01:01:20] It's going to be.

    [01:01:21] Yeah.

[01:01:21] I got my dress code on now.

[01:01:23] Now he, we had talked about that, you know, uh, well, I actually, I brought it up.

[01:01:27] I said, you know, Mary had us wearing like different colors, you know, red, blue, whatever,

    [01:01:33] whatever.

[01:01:34] And, uh, I told him, you know what?

[01:01:36] One color is fine for me.

[01:01:37] I can wear the same color every day.

    [01:01:39] Mm-hmm.

[01:01:40] You know, just put your brand on there and, uh, your name.

[01:01:43] He said, no, I'm putting, he said he was going to put nicknames over it.

    [01:01:46] I said, I don't care.

[01:01:47] I would wear a shirt like that every day.

[01:01:50] That way I don't have to worry about.

    [01:01:51] Right.

[01:01:51] Which color, you know, just wear the same thing, you know?

[01:01:55] And so, uh, he, he's going to have some nice looking stuff coming out.

    [01:01:58] Cool.

[01:01:59] It's going to be good.

[01:02:00] It's going to be, it's going to be different.

    [01:02:02] It's going to be a change.

[01:02:03] There's, um, it's, it's, change can be really, really good.

[01:02:07] So, um, and especially because I think it's, it's, it's overdue in so many ways.

[01:02:13] Just, just because foosball has been kind of in this limbo.

[01:02:16] Um, a lot of it came down to COVID, you know, COVID really put a damper on things.

    [01:02:22] Yeah.

    [01:02:23] Yeah.

    [01:02:23] Yeah.

[01:02:23] So, and, uh, we're, we're, you know, I'm no, I'm looking forward to it and I know he

[01:02:27] is, and he just knows you can't fit it all in, in a short time.

[01:02:31] And it's going to take some time to do all this.

[01:02:34] And, uh, but, uh, it's going to be good, you know?

[01:02:37] So, and he, uh, he discussed four phases that he wanted to go through.

[01:02:41] I know when we talked at the, the world, world tournament, uh, or world championships and,

[01:02:45] and he said there were four phases, but they are going to take roughly five years to implement

    [01:02:50] all of them.

[01:02:50] Um, so, which to me, I think that makes a whole lot of sense.

    [01:02:55] You know, you can't.

    [01:02:55] Yeah.

[01:02:56] I mean, you know, at, at, at coach, he's in here for the, for the distance, you know,

[01:03:01] he's the, and he's going to try to probably, anytime you start something new, you out,

[01:03:08] you, you try to outdo yourself each year, you know?

[01:03:11] So it's just, if, if you really like it this year, then hold on, it's going to get better

    [01:03:15] each year.

    [01:03:16] Yeah.

    [01:03:17] You know?

    [01:03:17] Yeah.

[01:03:18] The thing is, is not to be afraid of change.

    [01:03:20] Yeah.

[01:03:21] And he's, and he's not, he's ready to try some stuff.

[01:03:24] Like you said, he's a, he's one of the top players in the world.

[01:03:28] He's doing it from a player's perspective, but he's a player who has good business sense

    [01:03:33] to the business document.

    [01:03:35] Yeah.

    [01:03:35] I'm, I'm looking forward to it.

[01:03:36] You know, I'm, I feel honored that he asked me because he could have very well, you know,

    [01:03:40] ask anybody.

    [01:03:40] Sure.

    [01:03:41] Sure.

[01:03:42] I feel honored that he asked me and I'm going to try to do them right and do the best I

    [01:03:45] can.

[01:03:46] You are, you're reliable if nothing else.

    [01:03:49] So that's, that's, that's key.

    [01:03:50] That's huge in any person's mind.

[01:03:53] So, you know, I don't know about, about you, Don, but this is, this is, this is going to

    [01:03:58] be great.

[01:03:59] Looking forward to the opportunity to chat with Mary before the big Louisiana.

    [01:04:03] Yeah.

[01:04:03] I'll give her, I'll give her a shout out.

[01:04:05] I know she's been doing a lot of work on up.

[01:04:08] Uh, she has, uh, her mom's house.

    [01:04:13] Mm-hmm.

    [01:04:14] Okay.

[01:04:14] And she's been working on a lot.

[01:04:15] She used to rent it.

[01:04:16] Now she just wants to sell it.

[01:04:18] And, uh, her dream is to, uh, buy some land, get some horses and move out there and just

[01:04:23] live life to the fullest.

    [01:04:24] Cool.

[01:04:24] And, uh, and she's so happy talking about that.

[01:04:28] And, uh, I hope her the best.

[01:04:30] So she's been busy doing that, but she said, hopefully by this week she'll be done.

    [01:04:35] So I'll, I'll give her a call.

    [01:04:36] Okay.

[01:04:37] Tomorrow and see about setting that up.

    [01:04:38] Yeah.

[01:04:39] Just send me a text.

    [01:04:39] I'm sure she'd love to.

    [01:04:40] Yeah.

[01:04:40] Just send me a text and we can, we can make it happen maybe next weekend, something like

    [01:04:43] that.

    [01:04:44] Okay.

[01:04:45] Well, again, it's, it's, uh, going to be the 5th through the 8th.

    [01:04:48] Yes.

    [01:04:49] Of December.

    [01:04:50] Yep.

[01:04:50] Um, I think, I think till November 5th, you can get rooms.

    [01:04:53] Okay.

    [01:04:54] Good.

[01:04:54] Think that at that $79 rate, but I think the regular rates just goes up in 80 something.

    [01:05:00] They're real reasonable prices.

    [01:05:02] That's a great price.

    [01:05:02] 70 on bucks.

    [01:05:03] Yeah.

    [01:05:03] That's awesome.

    [01:05:04] Yeah.

    [01:05:04] Yeah.

[01:05:05] And that's, and that's something else too.

[01:05:07] You know, um, when you, when you look at your hotels, you know, if you want a $79

[01:05:12] rate room, then you gotta know you're going to get a $79 rate room.

    [01:05:17] Mm-hmm.

[01:05:18] If you get $159 rate room, then, you know, it's going to be better or it should be.

[01:05:23] Well, that's something to think about.

[01:05:26] If, if there are any tournaments where it's high priced, be ready to get a better room.

    [01:05:31] Mm-hmm.

[01:05:32] Cause I know he was talking about the kickoff.

[01:05:35] He was trying to get a hotel right down the street.

[01:05:38] And it, what I saw was like, oh, that should be a world's hotel.

    [01:05:43] Mm-hmm.

[01:05:43] Um, when he was going to set the contract, somebody sold one night out underneath him

    [01:05:48] on a Saturday night.

[01:05:49] So we couldn't do it.

    [01:05:50] Ah.

    [01:05:51] So, but anyway.

    [01:05:53] Well.

[01:05:54] So, uh, he's looking to move things around, change things up, different locations for

    [01:05:59] different things.

[01:06:00] So, uh, he's, he's got a lot of ideas.

[01:06:04] And again, it's always fun to talk to him because he's, he's got a lot going on.

[01:06:09] So, and it looks like a modern foosball is going to be fully involved as well.

[01:06:14] Uh, which is a great move, especially for the coverage, the, the play-by-play.

    [01:06:19] Great stuff.

[01:06:21] They're really, their product is, is going through the roof of late too.

[01:06:24] So it's, uh, kind of a perfect storm there.

    [01:06:28] Yeah.

    [01:06:28] Yeah.

[01:06:29] We'll just, uh, see what the future holds.

[01:06:31] It's going to be, uh, it's going to be good for everybody.

    [01:06:33] I mean, anytime there's a, there's a, uh, we're on a rollercoaster, you know, foosball

[01:06:38] has always been this, a rollercoaster, right?

    [01:06:40] Yeah.

[01:06:41] But anytime you're going up like that, it's not good for just one person.

    [01:06:47] Good for everybody.

    [01:06:49] More people playing.

[01:06:50] They don't want to play when there's not a tournament.

[01:06:53] So they're going to start playing local, you know, and the fact that, uh, USTSO is, is

[01:07:00] starting to get their act together, um, a little more.

[01:07:04] Um, Jerry Todd is, is, is going to start bringing in the club system and we were already, we

[01:07:10] were already going to do this, but high TSF is, is going to have a new website.

[01:07:16] They're going to pop it out there for everybody.

[01:07:19] And as soon as they get through, then USTSO is going to have their new website with ITSF.

[01:07:26] So, uh, it's all connected and that's when, that's when we can start signing up clubs.

    [01:07:32] Looking forward to that.

    [01:07:32] Across all of America.

    [01:07:33] Yeah.

    [01:07:34] That's, that's going to be huge.

    [01:07:36] Yeah.

[01:07:36] That's going to be big.

[01:07:37] And Ryan was even talking about possibly in the future leagues or something like that.

    [01:07:42] You know?

    [01:07:43] Okay.

    [01:07:43] Okay.

[01:07:43] That's always been a fun thing to do if run right.

[01:07:46] And that's one thing I can tell you, if Ryan does it, it's going to be done right.

[01:07:50] Cause he don't want to do anything halfway.

    [01:07:53] Get that.

    [01:07:54] I get that.

[01:07:54] You don't want to do anything wrong.

[01:07:56] So that's, that's one thing you can know when Ryan does it going to be top knot.

    [01:08:02] Well, that's a, that's.

[01:08:03] And I probably need to shut up before I say anything else.

    [01:08:05] I don't need to.

[01:08:07] I might get a call later on from him.

[01:08:09] Dude, why'd you say that?

    [01:08:10] Look out.

    [01:08:10] But no, he, you know, I hadn't, I hadn't said anything.

    [01:08:13] No, it's.

[01:08:13] That he hadn't already said on the radio.

[01:08:15] I think that, that, uh, keeping the positivity where it should be.

[01:08:19] And of course, every time there's a tournament, there's going to be improvements each time.

[01:08:22] And that's the whole idea.

    [01:08:24] You know, it's a, it's a crucible, right?

[01:08:26] And you gotta, you gotta cook stuff before it's ready to eat.

    [01:08:30] That's true.

    [01:08:31] That's true.

[01:08:33] You can, you can put that in a bumper sticker, cook it before you eat it.

    [01:08:36] Yeah.

[01:08:37] I mean, not like, I mean, there's certain stuff you don't have to cook, but okay.

    [01:08:44] I suppose.

    [01:08:45] It makes sense.

    [01:08:45] Yeah.

[01:08:47] I'd probably go with like, you gotta, you gotta break a few eggs.

[01:08:50] If you want to make an omelet, that'd probably be my go-to.

    [01:08:53] But all right.

    [01:08:53] All right.

    [01:08:54] Sure.

    [01:08:55] Yeah.

[01:08:56] I mean, if we're talking about like chicken, if we're talking about chicken, like, yeah,

    [01:08:59] I mean, I don't want to get sick.

    [01:09:01] Right.

[01:09:02] No, I like my chicken medium rare.

[01:09:04] Like, yeah, it's not a good thing.

[01:09:06] So not a good thing.

    [01:09:07] Yeah.

    [01:09:08] Yeah.

[01:09:08] Speaking of eggs, I went out yesterday and collected a 34.

    [01:09:12] I see.

[01:09:13] I told you, Tom, I told you.

[01:09:15] I told you he had eggs.

[01:09:17] 34 eggs and six duck eggs.

    [01:09:21] Really?

    [01:09:21] Duck eggs are big.

    [01:09:23] Yeah.

[01:09:24] I got one duck egg that I could not even halfway close the lid.

[01:09:28] I bust out for two sections and it still wouldn't close.

    [01:09:31] Whoa.

    [01:09:32] Yeah.

[01:09:32] So what's the difference in flavor between a duck egg and a chicken egg?

[01:09:37] A duck egg is going to be more fluffy.

    [01:09:40] Oh, okay.

[01:09:41] It's going to be fluffier and it actually does taste good.

[01:09:44] The only thing that my family, my wife, and even myself is, is the smell.

[01:09:52] The smell of a chicken, a chicken egg is, is not bad.

    [01:09:56] It's just normal.

    [01:09:57] Yeah.

    [01:09:57] Duck egg.

[01:09:58] You can tell it's not a chicken egg, but when you eat it, if, if you don't, you know,

[01:10:03] if you cook it and eat it and don't know what I cooked you.

    [01:10:06] Okay.

[01:10:06] You'll just say, man, this is fluffy.

    [01:10:08] This is good.

    [01:10:09] Light, light and fluffy.

[01:10:10] But it's in the preparation of the duck egg.

[01:10:12] You kind of get a whiff of a duck egg.

    [01:10:14] It's not bad.

    [01:10:15] It's just different.

    [01:10:16] Yeah.

    [01:10:17] Yeah.

    [01:10:17] To me.

[01:10:18] Now my buddy, Mark, I take him eggs.

[01:10:20] When I go down to Louisiana, he loves the duck eggs because they just so big and fluffy.

    [01:10:24] Yeah.

    [01:10:24] You know?

    [01:10:26] Yeah.

    [01:10:27] Yeah.

    [01:10:28] I'll eat a duck egg.

    [01:10:29] Oh yeah.

    [01:10:30] Oh yeah.

    [01:10:30] They're good.

    [01:10:31] But I got, I promise you.

[01:10:33] If I ever come back on the radio, I'll bring a duck egg and show you how big they are.

    [01:10:36] Yeah.

    [01:10:37] Yeah.

[01:10:38] I probably hold it like a baseball.

[01:10:40] That's how big it is.

[01:10:41] Now, Don, you just said, if you ever come back on, on a food stock.

[01:10:45] Well, I mean, when, when, of course, not if, when, when, yeah.

[01:10:49] Well, of course we'll help you back.

[01:10:51] Unless you ban me from it.

    [01:10:52] I don't know.

[01:10:53] Ban you from, from, from this.

    [01:10:56] Oh, man.

    [01:10:58] I, I don't know for, for where you're getting that reasoning, but I, yeah, I don't think I

    [01:11:01] would ever do that.

[01:11:02] Nah, I'm just messing with you.

    [01:11:04] Yeah.

[01:11:04] I got a, matter of fact, I'm, I'm working on the things right now personally for football

    [01:11:12] and USTSO.

[01:11:13] The, the, um, I still have a couple more tournaments left for the points race.

[01:11:18] Um, I did, I didn't do as good as I wanted to this year.

[01:11:22] I have everything running in the background on the points.

[01:11:25] I wanted to release it every quarter, but we got so busy with tournaments and stuff and

    [01:11:30] just life.

[01:11:31] I wasn't able to do that, but I want to have everything done in about the next week to where

[01:11:36] I can have everything that's current up to these last two tournaments to see who's

    [01:11:40] on the bubble.

    [01:11:40] Okay.

[01:11:41] I'll be in the top 16 and coming down.

[01:11:43] Um, but, uh, the WFT has agreed to have the championships at the TKO.

[01:11:48] So, uh, we'll do that.

    [01:11:50] Okay.

[01:11:50] And I'll, I'll announce hopefully in the next week, I can announce what the minimum payout

[01:11:56] to the maximum payout is.

    [01:11:57] Okay.

[01:11:58] But the, but the key thing is to be a member of USTSO.

    [01:12:01] Right.

[01:12:02] And, um, that is also something that's probably going to be for a later meeting in 2025, but

[01:12:09] ITSF is making some changes and some of their changes are in order to play in a sanctioned

    [01:12:15] event.

[01:12:16] You must be a USTSO member.

    [01:12:19] Interesting.

    [01:12:20] Okay.

[01:12:20] And if you're not a USTSO member, you can't play in the tournament.

[01:12:23] And the problem I'm going to have is the promoters aren't going to want to disqualify somebody

[01:12:29] from not playing in their tournament.

    [01:12:30] Okay.

[01:12:30] You know, well, I got to figure out a way.

[01:12:33] It's not, it's not much to, to become a member, right?

    [01:12:36] I mean, it's, it's not a huge amount of money.

    [01:12:38] It's a $25 a year thing.

    [01:12:40] Yeah.

[01:12:40] It's not much, but I might see if I can change it to where, if the promoter say was to, uh,

[01:12:49] do kind of like the text messaging house, $2, if we could possibly get three or $4 for

[01:12:55] at a tournament, we'll just make everybody a member.

    [01:12:58] Okay.

[01:12:58] You know that, and that way, if somebody goes to five different tournaments, then that'd

[01:13:03] almost equal up to $20.

    [01:13:06] Sure.

    [01:13:06] $25.

    [01:13:06] Sure.

[01:13:07] And then the ones only go to two or three, then they get a cheaper rate as a, you know,

    [01:13:13] a member.

    [01:13:13] But that way, everybody's a member.

[01:13:14] It helps our numbers grow and it has everybody involved in the championships, you know, but

[01:13:20] then if people want to qualify and travel, then it'd be a different price for them.

[01:13:24] So we're, we're working on some stuff too, as far as USTSO, we added a new member to

    [01:13:29] our board.

    [01:13:29] Okay.

[01:13:30] I don't know if y'all saw that on Facebook, Miriam Alley.

    [01:13:33] Oh yeah.

    [01:13:33] Yeah.

    [01:13:33] I did see that.

    [01:13:34] Yeah.

[01:13:34] She's now on our board and she's going to be over the sports commission.

[01:13:37] That's the things that I used to do as far as sanctioning events and stuff like that.

[01:13:42] As a matter of fact, when I talked to her a couple of days ago, she said she was asked

    [01:13:45] to sanction that event.

    [01:13:47] And I said, oops, I'm sorry.

[01:13:49] That was something you're supposed to do.

[01:13:51] But, you know, I'm just so used to doing it and I wanted to get it in before the 90 day,

    [01:13:55] you know, cutoff.

[01:13:56] So anyway, Miriam is going to be in charge of that.

[01:13:58] She's going to be a big asset to USTSO.

    [01:14:01] Oh yeah.

[01:14:01] Cause she's going to take, she's going to take right up doing what she was already doing

[01:14:04] at ITSF being a, you know, the sports commission.

[01:14:10] So that's going to help.

[01:14:12] And we're, we're looking for a few more people to help get in the USTSO organization to

    [01:14:17] help us out.

    [01:14:18] Okay.

[01:14:18] Because it's, it's kind of hard for just one person to do or even one or two people

    [01:14:24] to do.

[01:14:24] Well, if you're listening to this podcast and you'd like to get involved with the USTSO,

[01:14:28] Donald, how would they, how would they reach out to you?

[01:14:31] Just, they can either go to the USTSO, which is USAFOOSBALL.com on Facebook and leave a message

    [01:14:38] say you're interested.

    [01:14:39] Okay.

[01:14:40] Most everybody has my private email or my Facebook page.

[01:14:44] They can go to that and tell me.

[01:14:46] What we're wanting to do is we're wanting to get committees together, you know, some committees

[01:14:51] on maybe the points race and they can help do that to take that off of me.

[01:14:55] You know, I got Deanna Newton.

[01:14:59] She's been helping me tremendously doing the sanctioning for these tournaments.

[01:15:06] Whenever it's done, we have to put the results in on FAFSA software.

[01:15:10] So people get rated in ITSL.

[01:15:13] But come 2026, all sanctioned event must be on Coral software.

[01:15:17] So we got a lot of things to work out between 2020, you know, 2026.

[01:15:22] But it's always good to have committees.

[01:15:29] Kristen Grogan's been beating that in my head, telling me I don't have to do everything and

[01:15:34] get committees to work on stuff and just have them report to the board.

    [01:15:37] Smart lady.

    [01:15:38] Smart lady.

    [01:15:39] Yeah.

[01:15:39] That's what I'm wanting to do now to free up some time for family time for me.

    [01:15:43] Because, you know, I'm 60 now.

[01:15:46] I don't know how much more longer I have.

    [01:15:48] Yeah.

[01:15:48] You got too many eggs to pick.

[01:15:50] Got a lot of eggs to eat.

[01:15:52] But hey, you know something?

[01:15:53] Do you know that farm fresh eggs are healthy for you?

    [01:15:57] Oh, I know.

    [01:15:58] It's not a bad thing.

    [01:15:59] Nope.

    [01:16:00] Of course.

    [01:16:00] Eggs are super healthy.

    [01:16:02] Eggs are good.

    [01:16:03] Protein.

    [01:16:03] It's really good protein.

    [01:16:04] Absolutely.

[01:16:05] And I feed my chickens some chicken feet with omega-3s in it, which makes it even healthier.

    [01:16:12] Nice.

    [01:16:12] Yeah.

    [01:16:13] Very cool.

[01:16:14] No, I think that there's, when people look at the way we consume food, especially when

[01:16:23] it comes to fresh food, it's better if it's fresher, obviously.

    [01:16:28] Yeah.

[01:16:29] But if it's less processed, I think there's a lot to be said for that.

    [01:16:33] You know?

    [01:16:33] Correct.

    [01:16:34] Yeah.

[01:16:35] There's, we, what do they say?

[01:16:38] If you can go around the grocery store and just shop around the outside of the grocery

[01:16:42] store and choose the things that are not processed, then you're going to do a whole lot better

[01:16:47] than, you know, hitting the snack aisle and getting the Doritos.

[01:16:52] Well, let me ask you this.

[01:16:54] When I, when I go to my pantry, I can pull out a can of green beans, open it up and pour

    [01:17:00] in the pot.

[01:17:01] That's no process at all.

    [01:17:03] Yeah.

[01:17:04] Is that what you're talking about?

[01:17:05] Well, not necessarily because processed would be.

[01:17:08] No, because there's probably preservatives in that can.

[01:17:09] I know, but the process for me is easy.

    [01:17:12] Yeah.

    [01:17:14] That kind of process.

    [01:17:15] Open and dump.

    [01:17:16] Open and dump.

    [01:17:18] I got you.

[01:17:19] I think, you know, like my wife and I were huge chili fans and, you know, in this time

[01:17:24] of the year, we're, we're, we make up a big old batch in, in, in our crock pot, but it's

    [01:17:28] made from scratch.

[01:17:29] Now, if I were to go to the grocery store and grab, I don't know, chili in a can, dude.

    [01:17:35] Yeah.

    [01:17:36] It's a big letdown.

[01:17:37] Some Hormel chili in a can.

    [01:17:39] Oh, nasty.

    [01:17:41] No beans.

[01:17:41] That's dog food for people, man.

    [01:17:43] That's, that's delicious.

    [01:17:45] Dude.

[01:17:46] Especially on a hot dog.

    [01:17:47] Oh, I'm sorry.

[01:17:49] I'll take the homemade anytime.

    [01:17:50] Anytime.

    [01:17:51] Yeah.

    [01:17:51] Yeah.

[01:17:52] Well, you know, I, I put a couple of pictures on Facebook here lately where I did some tomato

    [01:17:57] gravy.

    [01:17:58] Ooh.

[01:17:58] And I'm shocked to notice people hadn't, they hadn't ever eaten tomato gravy before.

    [01:18:02] Hmm.

    [01:18:03] On biscuits.

    [01:18:04] It's a Southern thing.

    [01:18:06] Yep.

    [01:18:06] It's a Southern thing.

    [01:18:07] But it's a good thing too.

    [01:18:09] Yeah.

    [01:18:10] Mm.

    [01:18:10] Mm.

    [01:18:11] Yeah.

[01:18:12] Well, you know, I did a garden two years ago and it, and I got, I was able to get tomatoes

    [01:18:17] and some cucumbers and.

    [01:18:18] Yeah.

[01:18:19] A good bit of squash.

[01:18:20] And, uh, but this year I waited too late and I never got a chance to do it, but I want

    [01:18:25] to start preparing now.

    [01:18:26] Yeah.

    [01:18:26] Yeah.

[01:18:28] I'm starting to scoop out my chicken coop and I got, I got me some fertilizer going.

    [01:18:34] Oh, there you go.

    [01:18:35] There you go.

[01:18:35] Going in a certain area.

    [01:18:36] And so, uh.

    [01:18:37] It's a natural, natural.

    [01:18:38] Yeah.

[01:18:39] I hope to have a better garden in the next year.

    [01:18:41] Cause you know what?

    [01:18:42] I might need it.

    [01:18:44] Yeah.

    [01:18:44] Never know.

    [01:18:45] Yeah.

    [01:18:46] Nitrogen.

    [01:18:47] Um, so, okay.

[01:18:49] It is, it is, uh, the night that we are celebrating the real wives of Foos Talk Live.

    [01:18:54] So.

    [01:18:54] Yeah.

    [01:18:55] I'm sorry.

[01:18:55] I took up too much time.

    [01:18:56] No, no, no.

[01:18:57] Don, it's great to have you jump in, man, because we were just talking about 2025 and, and no

[01:19:02] better way to get the information out there than somebody who's actually involved.

    [01:19:05] You know?

    [01:19:06] Correct.

    [01:19:06] So we appreciate that.

[01:19:07] All I can say is it's going to be great.

[01:19:09] It's going to be great.

[01:19:10] It's going to be great.

    [01:19:11] Mm-hmm.

    [01:19:12] Mm-hmm.

[01:19:12] And if, and if, uh, you come to these terms and you don't have a good time, then that's

    [01:19:18] on you.

    [01:19:19] Mm-hmm.

    [01:19:20] True that.

    [01:19:21] True that.

    [01:19:23] Well, I mean.

[01:19:24] Well, we'll, uh, we'll, uh, we'll, uh, we'll, uh, we certainly have you back soon because

[01:19:28] we, we definitely want to talk to, to you and of course, Mary and, and really get the,

[01:19:32] get the low down as to, you know, the end of her career, but also what's happening

    [01:19:36] next.

[01:19:36] And we always want to stay on top of that stuff, but Don, thank you so much for, for

[01:19:40] being, being on the spot.

[01:19:41] Hey, I appreciate y'all allowing me to come on here and chat with y'all anytime.

    [01:19:44] Absolutely.

    [01:19:45] Yes, sir.

    [01:19:45] Absolutely.

[01:19:46] Good luck to the ladies in foosball.

[01:19:48] Are they, are they ready for y'all?

[01:19:49] Oh, well, they are ready.

[01:19:52] They're, they're, uh, actually are, uh, our spouses.

    [01:19:56] I know.

[01:19:58] I hope they're not just sitting there listening to all this going on, are they?

[01:20:01] Well, I mean, not really.

[01:20:03] They, they actually, because they're both in bed now, they had to pre-record.

[01:20:06] We had to go get them.

    [01:20:06] Hey, y'all come on.

[01:20:08] They had to pre-record their segment.

    [01:20:10] Oh.

    [01:20:11] Yeah.

    [01:20:11] Yeah.

[01:20:11] So it's, uh, don't worry, Don, you're not keeping them waiting.

    [01:20:14] It's okay.

    [01:20:15] All right.

    [01:20:15] I'm sorry if I did.

    [01:20:18] All right.

    [01:20:18] Well, y'all have a good night.

    [01:20:20] I appreciate what y'all do.

[01:20:21] Oh, and, uh, y'all, y'all get the information out there and y'all do some good shows.

    [01:20:27] I appreciate it.

[01:20:28] And I love it when you come to tournaments and do it too.

    [01:20:31] Well, that's, uh, that's a blast.

[01:20:33] And, uh, my apologies for, uh, for losing my voice last time, but stuff happens.

    [01:20:38] Which one was that?

[01:20:39] The last one, uh, Michigan States.

    [01:20:41] I had no voice.

    [01:20:43] I didn't, I didn't know that.

    [01:20:45] I'm sorry.

[01:20:45] I had, uh, laryngitis when I got there and I had, uh, several hot teas during the weekend,

[01:20:51] try to keep things going, but you can hear it in the, in the, I did a bunch of interviews,

[01:20:55] but man, I just, you know, just, uh, pretty much.

[01:21:01] Well, I tell you what, I bet you had a blast at the world series because you talked to some

    [01:21:05] big names.

    [01:21:06] Oh yeah.

[01:21:06] You had some good people.

    [01:21:07] Oh yeah.

[01:21:08] We had, that was, that was an awesome thing.

[01:21:10] I'd do that over and over and over again.

    [01:21:11] Absolutely.

[01:21:12] So maybe you ought to go overseas and do one of those.

[01:21:15] Well, there is a, there's, there's a strong possibility because I have relatives living

[01:21:19] in Germany, so I could always stay with them and, and then, uh, take the, take the, take

    [01:21:23] the train to Spain.

    [01:21:25] Something like that.

[01:21:26] Well, they'll probably be in Germany again the next couple of two to four years.

    [01:21:29] Yeah.

[01:21:30] They try to keep it moving around.

[01:21:31] I thought they picked them, but actually they bid on them.

    [01:21:34] Okay.

    [01:21:34] I got you.

    [01:21:35] Yeah.

    [01:21:35] Anyway, y'all have a good night.

    [01:21:37] All right, Tom.

    [01:21:37] Yeah.

    [01:21:38] Yeah.

    [01:21:38] Thanks again.

    [01:21:39] Appreciate it.

    [01:21:40] Thanks.

[01:21:41] And, uh, Randy, I gotta say, man, we're, we're, uh, we're mighty lucky.

[01:21:44] Uh, to be married to the ladies we are.

    [01:21:47] Uh, yes.

    [01:21:49] I couldn't agree more.

[01:21:51] And so now that we have, uh, 2025, pretty much in the bag, we've, we've kind of, uh, got

[01:21:56] a real good glimpse of what's going on.

[01:21:58] Anything else you want to talk about before we bring the ladies on?

[01:22:02] Uh, no, I'm ready for bed, Tom.

    [01:22:05] I could tell.

    [01:22:05] I could tell.

[01:22:06] You're starting to, starting to fade.

    [01:22:08] I'm fading.

    [01:22:08] I'm fading fast.

    [01:22:09] Yeah.

[01:22:10] Uh, but so wouldn't that be cool if we get Marion to talk to her before Louisiana state?

[01:22:15] Yeah, no, I think that'd be great.

[01:22:16] I'd love to just, um, see where she's at going into this one, knowing it's going to

    [01:22:21] be her last one.

[01:22:22] And, uh, you know, I'm, I just, yeah, I mean, that'd, that'd be awesome.

[01:22:27] Hopefully Donald can make it happen.

    [01:22:29] Right.

    [01:22:29] Yeah.

[01:22:30] Well, uh, let's, uh, let's talk again soon.

[01:22:33] Uh, we'll be back next week, but of course tonight we're, uh, we're leaving it to the

[01:22:37] ladies and, uh, uh, thanks for tuning in, but, but here it comes.

[01:22:41] It's a brand new feature here on Foos Talk Live.

[01:22:45] For the first time in the history of foosball radio, we proudly present the real wives

    [01:22:52] of Foos Talk Live.

    [01:22:54] Hey, I'm Tom Robinson.

[01:22:56] And yes, tonight is a very special night.

[01:22:58] Because we've decided to try out a brand new feature, which we call the real wives of Foos Talk Live.

[01:23:06] And no, we would never call them housewives, but the real wives of Foos Talk Live.

[01:23:12] And so, uh, tonight we are joined by our actual wives.

[01:23:16] So Randy, you're joined with Ginger and, uh, my wife, uh, Kim is with us tonight.

[01:23:20] Now I call her chief.

[01:23:24] So, so if you want to call her chief, you can call her chief.

[01:23:26] But anyway, um, it's, it's, it's, this, I think is just a great concept.

[01:23:31] And Randy, you're the one that kind of came up with this idea, but let's, let's give people

[01:23:34] a peek behind the scenes as to what, what foosball wives go through.

    [01:23:40] Yeah.

[01:23:40] What, uh, what's the real thing?

[01:23:42] So, uh, number one, Ginger, I want to, uh, want to, want to welcome you to, to Foos Talk

[01:23:47] Live and, and the real wives of Foos Talk Live.

[01:23:50] Um, incidentally, I have to ask you the question right away.

    [01:23:53] Um, what happened?

[01:23:54] How did you meet this guy, Randy Raposo?

[01:24:00] Well, thank you for having me on.

[01:24:01] Um, so it's interesting how we met.

    [01:24:06] We met online.

[01:24:07] Um, I was in college.

    [01:24:09] I was only, I think I was 19 or 20.

    [01:24:13] 19, 20.

    [01:24:14] Oh.

    [01:24:15] Um.

    [01:24:15] I like them.

[01:24:16] I like them young, Tom.

[01:24:20] And we met online on, um, a group on Facebook.

    [01:24:24] Um.

[01:24:25] We have mutual friends on Facebook.

    [01:24:26] Yeah.

    [01:24:27] Oh, cool.

[01:24:27] I had, I kind of catfished her cause I, I had a picture on my profile there and it

[01:24:31] was, it, I was a couple pounds heavier than the picture actually.

[01:24:36] So, but she saw the photo immediately smitten, sent me a message.

    [01:24:40] Wow.

[01:24:42] Um, and then we just started talking and eventually we decided to meet and, um, we

[01:24:51] kind of just stayed friends for several years and, um, we kind of went and did our, our

[01:24:57] own thing and we ended up back together.

    [01:25:02] So.

    [01:25:02] Nice.

    [01:25:03] It just worked out.

[01:25:04] We were off and on for like five years and then, um, there was actually a little, little

[01:25:09] point in time where we kind of lost touch.

[01:25:11] And then, um, I, I, I bought my first house and then I got my puppy and actually sent her

[01:25:19] a picture of the dog.

[01:25:20] I was like, look what I got.

[01:25:21] And we hadn't talked in a while.

    [01:25:23] That's smart.

    [01:25:24] Yeah.

[01:25:25] That kind of sparked everything.

[01:25:26] And then she, uh, she came up for about a month that summer.

    [01:25:30] We were dating again.

[01:25:32] And then I just, I knew the first time I saw her, I was going to marry her.

    [01:25:35] Wow.

    [01:25:36] Really?

[01:25:36] I knew I came, I came to Alabama to visit.

[01:25:38] I saw she picked me up at the airport.

[01:25:39] I knew I was going to marry her.

    [01:25:40] I went home.

[01:25:41] I bought an engagement ring and actually sat in a safe for like five years.

    [01:25:45] Wow.

[01:25:45] And I had contemplating, I'd contemplated selling it.

[01:25:48] Um, but I was like, no, and then, uh, lo and behold, you know, we, uh, we ended up,

[01:25:54] we ended up getting married.

[01:25:55] I moved her up to Massachusetts, had her up there for about a year and then.

    [01:25:58] Okay.

[01:25:59] Uh, sold our house, moved down to Alabama.

[01:26:01] You know, she thought I moved down here for her, but I actually moved down here because

    [01:26:04] there's way more foosball.

    [01:26:06] So.

    [01:26:07] Right.

    [01:26:08] Okay.

    [01:26:09] Foosball.

[01:26:11] When did, uh, when did foosball become a part of the mix here?

[01:26:16] Uh, Ginger, what, when did you actually discover that?

[01:26:18] That he was so deep into the sport.

[01:26:21] Well, I always knew that he played.

[01:26:23] And when we first got married, he would go and play, um, some events, I think, and was

[01:26:29] it New Hampshire or just, you know, short little events here or there, but it wasn't

    [01:26:34] a lot.

[01:26:34] Um, and when we moved down here, um, it took him a little while to kind of, I guess, get

[01:26:39] back into foosball and find like where, um, like, you know, where to play.

[01:26:46] And so, you know, get acclimated to the area.

[01:26:48] I, I always, I had always been playing, but the difference was in the Northeast, you know,

[01:26:54] as you know, Tom, the tournament scene is somewhat limited.

    [01:26:58] Yep.

[01:26:58] But as far as like, you know, tour stops, state events, you know, they had, um, New

[01:27:04] York state was running, Maryland state was running.

[01:27:06] So those are kind of the only two things I was hitting.

[01:27:09] And then, excuse me, I was, you know, playing like monthly stuff, but it was, it wasn't like

[01:27:15] it is down here where, you know, being in central Alabama, I can drive four or five, six

[01:27:20] hours and be at a state regional or major event.

[01:27:24] So it did, it did change for me somewhat when I moved to Alabama because of the accessibility,

[01:27:30] but it did take me a little bit of time to kind of get rooted, you know, moving down

[01:27:36] here, people, some people knew me, but most people didn't.

[01:27:41] So, you know, it just took time and, and just kind of going out and playing and, you know,

[01:27:46] beating on some people, earning a little respect.

    [01:27:49] So, um, but yeah.

[01:27:51] I would say probably in the last five years, you've really.

[01:27:55] I've been hitting it pretty hard.

    [01:27:55] Yeah.

    [01:27:56] Yeah.

[01:27:56] You've really been in it the past five years.

[01:27:59] Since like 2019, I've been hitting it pretty hard.

    [01:28:01] Yeah, no doubt.

    [01:28:02] No doubt.

[01:28:03] And the results are speak for themselves.

[01:28:05] I mean, uh, really a kick and button pros and pro doubles and pro singles.

[01:28:09] And, and now of course, uh, nipping at the, the door of the, the opens events, which is

    [01:28:14] great.

[01:28:15] So things are really moving forward for you.

[01:28:17] And so, uh, having family support, having someone there to, well, encourage you.

[01:28:23] So Jinder, what, what, uh, what does it take before Randy leaves for a, for a tournament?

[01:28:27] Is there something you usually tell him before he goes?

    [01:28:31] Well, I'll be honest.

[01:28:32] In the beginning, it was a little difficult.

[01:28:35] Um, it took me a little while to warm up to, uh, I guess, you know, him going away to

    [01:28:42] tournaments.

[01:28:42] Like I, I didn't not want him to go, but I just, you know, I love my husband and I miss

[01:28:48] him when he's not there.

    [01:28:50] Sure.

[01:28:50] So like, I guess it just took me a while to, um, realize, you know, this is something that

    [01:28:56] he loves.

[01:28:58] Um, and he's happy when he's doing it and, you know, there's worse things he could be

    [01:29:04] doing.

[01:29:05] So I'm happy for him and, um, I just, you know, I tell him when he goes, be safe, have

[01:29:13] a good time and, you know, enjoy yourself.

[01:29:17] Just, you know, let me know that you're okay and, and I'll be good.

    [01:29:21] So.

    [01:29:21] Yeah.

[01:29:22] You know, in the, in the beginning, Tom, my wife thought like foosball tournaments were

[01:29:27] like, you know, rock concerts with foosball tables.

    [01:29:29] Right.

[01:29:30] And it's like, I took her to a couple and she was like, yeah, I really don't care if

    [01:29:34] you do this anymore.

[01:29:35] So she learned quickly what it, what it, it, you know, what it really is.

[01:29:40] But again, I'm, I'm thankful that I have a wife that actually wants to spend time with

    [01:29:44] me.

[01:29:44] She cares, but you know, so it's like, I go play and when I'm done, I just want to go

[01:29:50] home because I want to be next to my wife too.

[01:29:52] I want to get home to my wife.

[01:29:53] So it's usually Sunday nights.

[01:29:55] It just depends on the situation, what time we get done.

[01:29:59] And, but there've been times it's like at worlds I'm six and a half hours away.

[01:30:03] I get done playing at one in the morning and I'm in the car driving home.

[01:30:06] Cause I just want to get home.

[01:30:07] I just want to be next to my wife.

[01:30:08] So, you know, the feeling's mutual, but again, thankfully you know, my wife, she understands

[01:30:14] that foosball is something I'm passionate about.

[01:30:17] And, and you know, she, she's, she's, she lets me go play foosball.

[01:30:24] So, you know, I don't know how else to word it.

[01:30:26] She lets me go play foosball.

    [01:30:27] And that's, that's all I do, man.

    [01:30:28] I work, I work and I'm home.

    [01:30:30] I don't, you know, I don't, I don't, I don't know with the, with the guys.

    [01:30:34] I don't hunt.

    [01:30:35] I don't fish.

    [01:30:35] I don't give a crap about Alabama football.

[01:30:38] I just, I just want to play some foosball.

[01:30:41] It's a, I mean, the difference between the Northeast and of course the South, uh, we,

[01:30:46] we're all aware of the cultural differences, but, but you guys have had, have bridged the

    [01:30:50] gap.

    [01:30:51] So congratulations.

    [01:30:52] That's, that's cool.

    [01:30:53] Oh yeah.

    [01:30:53] Legitimately.

[01:30:54] You know, it's like sometimes family's funny.

[01:30:59] Cause they, you know, they're, you know, they're like, you guys couldn't be more opposite,

    [01:31:03] but it's, it's just funny.

    [01:31:05] We, I mean, I, I couldn't imagine being with anybody.

[01:31:09] I mean, my wife, I was 33 when we got married and, and I've always told her if it wasn't

[01:31:14] her, it'd just be me and the dog.

[01:31:16] So, uh, you know, but it's just, it's just funny how things work out, Tom, you know, I

[01:31:21] never in a million years thought I would have met a girl on Facebook and got married and

[01:31:24] moved 1300 miles to be with her.

[01:31:26] But we've been, we've been married for 10 years and, you know, I mean, it's not, it's

[01:31:31] not, it's not always perfect, but I mean, we're, you know, we make it happen, man.

[01:31:35] And, and, uh, I'm thankful.

[01:31:37] And I mean, look, I got a new table.

    [01:31:39] Yes.

[01:31:40] You got a football table.

[01:31:41] I got a new table and you know, she, she lets me have my space and, and I practice every

    [01:31:47] day and she understands.

    [01:31:48] And, you know, I'm man, I'm, I'm a lucky guy.

    [01:31:51] I really am.

[01:31:51] So I was proud of him whenever he, um, whenever he became pro, cause that was a goal of his.

[01:31:59] And that's whenever it kind of clicked in my brain, you know, not only does he love

[01:32:06] doing this, but he really is.

[01:32:07] He really is great at it.

    [01:32:09] Oh yeah.

    [01:32:10] And yeah.

    [01:32:10] Yeah.

[01:32:11] And, and I am, I am proud of him and I'm happy for him.

    [01:32:15] That's awesome.

[01:32:15] This is his thing and I support him.

    [01:32:17] Yeah.

[01:32:18] So Ginger, if you could do me a big favor and talk to Kim about, uh, how the foosball

[01:32:23] table fits inside the house.

[01:32:25] It fits inside the house, chief.

    [01:32:27] Yeah, chief.

    [01:32:28] It fits.

    [01:32:30] Yeah.

    [01:32:31] Yeah.

    [01:32:32] Tom's joking, Ginger.

    [01:32:33] He's just joking.

    [01:32:34] No, no, no.

[01:32:35] This just doesn't fit with the decor.

    [01:32:37] Oh, go ahead, Ginger.

    [01:32:38] No, I'm sorry.

[01:32:40] I didn't mean to cut you off.

[01:32:42] Oh, I was going to say, well, it doesn't fit in our decor.

[01:32:47] It's part of the challenge.

    [01:32:49] And I'm just, but.

    [01:32:50] The feng shui.

    [01:32:51] I got you.

    [01:32:51] It's, it's, it's, it's out in the garage, but it's, it's there, you know, it's there.

    [01:32:57] It's available.

    [01:32:59] Yeah.

    [01:32:59] Yeah.

[01:33:00] Part of the problem too, is the ball, the ball makes a lot of noise and the table is located

[01:33:06] in the garage, which is just below the bedroom, which is on the second floor, just above the

    [01:33:11] garage.

    [01:33:12] Yeah.

[01:33:14] But I want to hear how Ginger fitted into their house.

    [01:33:18] Okay.

[01:33:20] So this, this is, this is funny.

[01:33:23] Um, well, you know, Randy, he's like, I don't see what the problem is.

[01:33:28] We just put it in the kitchen.

    [01:33:30] Like, it's perfect.

    [01:33:31] There's lighting there.

    [01:33:32] It's perfect.

[01:33:33] I'm like, yeah, well, I don't know about that.

[01:33:38] No, we're not doing that.

[01:33:40] Like you said, like that's bad work anyways, but this is, so he did actually get it in our

[01:33:45] kitchen not too long ago because we had a leak in our house and we had to move everything

[01:33:49] around and long story, new carpet, all that stuff.

[01:33:53] And so for a while it was in our kitchen while we were moving things around and getting our

    [01:33:58] house back in order.

[01:33:59] So, um, he did get his wish, you know, temporarily, but now it's in his office, um, slash man cave

[01:34:11] area, I guess you would call it.

[01:34:13] So it's his little space here.

    [01:34:14] Cool.

    [01:34:15] Little space.

    [01:34:16] I still hear it.

[01:34:17] The ball's going, they're loud, like you said, but, um, you know, it's his little space.

    [01:34:24] Okay.

    [01:34:25] Yeah.

    [01:34:26] I get a room.

[01:34:26] She gets the rest of the house.

[01:34:29] We can close the door on it if we need to.

[01:34:33] I guess we just need a man cave, right?

    [01:34:35] I guess.

[01:34:35] I mean, I've got the studio, uh, but the studio is so crammed with equipment.

[01:34:40] There's no space for a foosball table in here.

[01:34:42] So yes, I mean, you know, and this is the first time.

[01:34:45] The thing now, chief, they make tables.

    [01:34:48] They're so pretty.

[01:34:49] You can get one to just kind of go with the decor.

[01:34:52] You know, you get it wrapped and, you know, they do these mahogany wraps now and different

    [01:34:57] things.

[01:34:58] And so I'm just, I'm just, no.

    [01:35:00] Just saying.

    [01:35:01] Yeah.

    [01:35:02] Yeah.

    [01:35:02] We'll look into that.

    [01:35:04] I don't believe you.

    [01:35:05] But okay.

[01:35:08] I'm not convinced, but okay.

    [01:35:11] I know what she's, yeah.

    [01:35:12] I get it.

[01:35:13] See, and I get it too, but this is what I tell my wife legitimately.

    [01:35:17] I said, I don't care.

    [01:35:20] Nobody comes over.

[01:35:20] And when they do, if they got a problem, they could leave.

[01:35:22] They don't pay bills in my house.

[01:35:23] I want to play foosball.

[01:35:24] It doesn't matter to me.

    [01:35:25] I don't care.

[01:35:27] So that's, that's the attitude right there.

    [01:35:29] That's what I'm looking for.

    [01:35:30] I have a terrible attitude.

    [01:35:31] Oh, it's awful.

    [01:35:32] Yeah.

    [01:35:33] I don't, I don't care.

    [01:35:34] I don't.

    [01:35:35] Yeah.

[01:35:35] So chief, did you want to disclose what, how we actually met?

    [01:35:41] Oh, please.

[01:35:43] Oh, well, well, we worked together at a radio station.

    [01:35:47] She was my boss.

    [01:35:49] I was the boss.

    [01:35:50] Yeah.

    [01:35:51] Yeah.

[01:35:52] Now I only get to be the boss at home.

    [01:35:56] She's still the boss.

    [01:35:57] Yes.

[01:35:58] But our, our first date was, was interesting.

[01:36:01] Um, so when was that?

[01:36:03] When was your, when was your first date?

[01:36:05] I heard it was a Halloween day.

    [01:36:07] Yes.

[01:36:07] It was on, um, Halloween in 1988.

    [01:36:11] First date.

    [01:36:11] 1980.

[01:36:12] I was seven years old.

    [01:36:13] Seven years old.

    [01:36:14] Yeah.

[01:36:14] Ginger had just been born in August.

    [01:36:18] Ooh.

    [01:36:18] Yeah.

    [01:36:19] Thanks.

[01:36:19] I feel really old now.

    [01:36:20] Thank you.

    [01:36:21] Oh, wow.

    [01:36:24] I pick on Tom.

[01:36:25] I pick on Tom all the time.

    [01:36:26] All the time.

[01:36:29] I still run circles around you.

    [01:36:31] Yeah.

    [01:36:32] You probably would.

[01:36:36] So, yeah, it was 36 years ago, Halloween night.

[01:36:40] And, uh, the, the funny thing about it was that, that, you know, we were working together

[01:36:44] at the time and, uh, there was a guy visiting from England who was a friend of ours that,

[01:36:50] that, uh, he was a friend of mine actually, or a friend of, uh, another, another radio personality.

[01:36:57] And, uh, he was, uh, in town for about a week or so.

[01:37:01] And we were all, uh, we were going to go out to dinner.

[01:37:04] Um, my, my, uh, friend from England.

[01:37:07] And, uh, before we left, we were in the radio station where Kim was working that night and

[01:37:13] he noticed her sitting there and said, Hey, we should invite her out too.

    [01:37:16] I said, well, I don't know.

    [01:37:19] I, I, I, I don't think that she'd do that, but you know, go ahead if you'd like.

[01:37:23] So he stepped into her office and, and charmed her into coming out with us.

[01:37:28] So he set you up.

    [01:37:30] Basically.

    [01:37:31] That's a good dude.

    [01:37:34] That's a good dude.

    [01:37:35] Yeah.

[01:37:35] I, yeah, I was very impressed with this demon air guy with a English accent, um, asking.

    [01:37:43] So.

[01:37:44] And, and here I was thinking she was wanting to hang out with me and it was, you know,

[01:37:50] turned out it was my buddy.

[01:37:51] Oh, Oh, Oh, but I did.

    [01:37:56] I'm sure.

[01:37:56] Listen, Tom, you have a terrific voice.

[01:37:58] I'm sure you could bust out an English accent if you wanted to.

[01:38:01] So pretty, pretty, uh, pretty bad at dialect.

    [01:38:05] I have to say, I can, I can do a Massachusetts.

[01:38:08] I got to do Boston.

    [01:38:09] Yeah.

[01:38:10] Well, I mean, listen, and not a lot of people can, a lot of people try, but not a lot of

    [01:38:14] people can believe me.

[01:38:15] So, uh, so, so, so chief 36 years ago, you go on your first date with this guy.

[01:38:20] Had you known that he was going to become a, you know, obsessed foosball player, would

[01:38:26] there have been a second date?

    [01:38:29] I think so.

    [01:38:30] I think so.

[01:38:32] Like, like Ginger said, he could be obsessed and, and addicted to so many worse things than

    [01:38:40] foosball.

[01:38:40] So, so yeah, yeah, yeah.

[01:38:43] And I, and I kind of knew him before the first date.

[01:38:46] So yeah, there would definitely be a second date.

    [01:38:48] Kind of.

    [01:38:48] That's good.

    [01:38:49] That's good.

    [01:38:50] Yeah.

    [01:38:51] Yeah.

[01:38:51] She used to listen, listen to me complain.

[01:38:54] Foosball's in a good place right now.

[01:38:55] Foosball's in a good place right now.

    [01:38:56] Yeah.

[01:38:56] Foosball's in a great place right now.

    [01:38:58] That's the thing.

[01:38:58] I tell my wife all the time.

[01:38:59] I'm like, just hold on.

[01:39:00] You know, this thing, this thing might turn out, you know, we might be able to cash out on

    [01:39:04] this thing.

    [01:39:04] You don't know.

[01:39:05] So just, just hold on.

    [01:39:07] Just hold on.

    [01:39:07] Stand by.

    [01:39:08] Yeah.

    [01:39:09] Be patient.

[01:39:09] Could be an Olympic sport.

    [01:39:10] You never know.

    [01:39:11] I don't know about that.

[01:39:13] I'm thinking, I'm thinking more reality TV than Olympic sport.

    [01:39:17] Yes.

    [01:39:19] Yep.

[01:39:19] Like the real waves of Foos Talk Live.

    [01:39:22] Just like that.

    [01:39:22] There's that.

[01:39:23] Like I said, when MTV picks this up, I'm getting paid.

    [01:39:25] I don't care.

    [01:39:26] Done.

    [01:39:26] It's going to happen.

    [01:39:27] Done.

[01:39:28] I will see to it.

[01:39:29] They'll have to follow you around the adventures in the airports and things when you go to the major

[01:39:34] tournaments because there is the comedy factor there.

    [01:39:38] Yeah.

[01:39:38] No, for me, it's, it's in the car by myself driving.

    [01:39:41] So let's go.

    [01:39:43] Yeah.

    [01:39:44] Let's go.

[01:39:45] You crack yourself up in the car, Randy?

    [01:39:47] Say again?

[01:39:48] You crack yourself up in the car?

[01:39:50] I talk to myself frequently.

    [01:39:53] Yes, ma'am.

    [01:39:53] Yeah.

    [01:39:57] Oh, yeah.

    [01:39:58] Yeah.

[01:39:58] No, I look at when I drive to a tournament, it's I'm having conversations with myself.

    [01:40:03] So it's, uh, yeah.

    [01:40:05] I mean, I'm, I'm again, I'm a foosball player.

    [01:40:08] I'm not normal.

[01:40:10] There's something to be said for that.

[01:40:12] And, and you know what?

    [01:40:13] I don't want to be normal.

    [01:40:14] Plain and simple.

    [01:40:15] I'm good.

    [01:40:16] I think.

[01:40:17] And as long as, uh, you know, Randy and I have, have, uh, ladies that, that stand by us,

[01:40:22] you know, um, I hate to go back to that old country tune and stand by your man,

[01:40:26] but there it is, you know, it's, I, here's the other thing I should probably mention at

    [01:40:32] this point too.

[01:40:34] Um, I have to say that, that Kim is so supportive that she spends at least a couple of hours

[01:40:39] a week just putting together the graphics that we put out as, as advertising for the, for

    [01:40:43] the show.

    [01:40:43] See, that's awesome.

    [01:40:44] Yeah.

    [01:40:45] That's awesome.

    [01:40:45] And they're always good.

    [01:40:46] That's awesome.

    [01:40:47] Right?

    [01:40:47] Yeah.

[01:40:49] No, I got, I got two girls.

[01:40:50] I got two supportive girls.

    [01:40:52] I got my wife.

    [01:40:52] I got my dog.

[01:40:53] As long as I come home and they're happy to see me, life is good.

    [01:40:56] I, I, I can't complain.

[01:40:57] If I have a bad weekend at a tournament, I don't play well, whatever it is, is I know

    [01:41:01] I come home and I'm happy.

    [01:41:02] So I can't complain again.

[01:41:04] We got good women, Tom.

    [01:41:06] We can't complain.

    [01:41:06] We do indeed.

[01:41:07] Ginger, have you ever tried to play?

[01:41:12] Yes, but that ended very quickly because I tell him I try to play and I even tried to

[01:41:21] practice some, like just passing the ball and things like that.

[01:41:25] And then when I, so the only person I have here to play with is Randy.

[01:41:29] And of course there's no mercy.

[01:41:31] There's no going easy on me.

[01:41:33] So I gave up pretty quickly because I'm like, you're just so good.

[01:41:37] I can never, no matter how, like there was no fun in it for me because it was like, okay,

    [01:41:44] boom.

[01:41:45] You're like, he shoots it so fast.

    [01:41:49] I'm like, I'm like, I didn't even see it.

    [01:41:51] Like it's no point.

[01:41:53] Do you want me to take it easy on you?

[01:41:56] Do you want me to take it easy on you?

[01:41:57] Do you want me to let you win?

[01:41:59] No, but like if I don't know anything, what is it?

    [01:42:04] I showed you.

    [01:42:04] I'm not even a beginner.

    [01:42:07] You're less than a beginner.

    [01:42:08] Less than a beginner.

[01:42:09] And I've told her, and I've told her, I'm like, hey, I'm like, I'll show you a couple

    [01:42:14] things.

[01:42:14] We'll go play, we'll go play a mixed event together.

    [01:42:16] You and me.

    [01:42:16] I don't want to do that.

    [01:42:17] I don't want to do that.

    [01:42:18] I don't want to do that.

[01:42:19] Every now and then, like I'll, I will touch the table with him occasionally.

[01:42:23] Like I'll, I'll try to block some of his balls that he shoots.

[01:42:28] But as far as playing regularly, no.

    [01:42:31] Okay.

    [01:42:32] Yeah.

[01:42:33] Well, you made the attempt.

    [01:42:35] That's, that's the, that's the most important thing.

    [01:42:37] I tried.

    [01:42:38] Yeah, absolutely.

[01:42:40] And I, and I chief, I won't embarrass you with that one.

    [01:42:44] So.

    [01:42:45] Yeah.

    [01:42:45] No, no, no.

    [01:42:46] I know.

    [01:42:46] Wait, whoa, hold up.

    [01:42:48] Whoa, hold up.

    [01:42:48] Whoa, hold up.

    [01:42:50] I want to know.

    [01:42:53] Yeah.

    [01:42:53] No, I don't play.

[01:42:55] We'll just leave it at that.

    [01:42:56] Okay.

    [01:42:58] Okay.

[01:42:59] No, she has gone to tournament.

[01:43:01] She was at, she went to Fenway Park with us to, to play the warrior tournament that took

    [01:43:06] place in Fenway.

    [01:43:07] What was it?

    [01:43:08] I was there.

    [01:43:09] That was 2014.

    [01:43:10] I was there.

    [01:43:11] That's right.

    [01:43:11] Yeah.

    [01:43:12] Yeah.

[01:43:13] Sean Riley put that, that, that tournament on.

    [01:43:16] Yeah.

    [01:43:17] Sean Riley's a bum.

    [01:43:18] I remember.

    [01:43:18] I was there.

    [01:43:19] Yeah.

[01:43:19] That was, that was a lot of fun.

[01:43:21] So, so Kim was there for that and she was taking photographs and I was playing with,

[01:43:26] with my partner those days, Bob Boutier, and we got slaughtered by Phil Brook and Kevin

[01:43:31] Walker in our first match.

[01:43:33] And Kim got to watch that.

[01:43:35] They ended up getting second.

[01:43:36] I remember they got second at that tournament.

    [01:43:39] Yes.

[01:43:39] They lost to Nutran and another guy from Canada.

    [01:43:44] I remember.

[01:43:45] Cause they came out of our group and we were the only ones that beat them.

[01:43:49] But yeah, I'm just, whatever.

    [01:43:51] Anyway, name dropping.

[01:43:52] So, but yeah, that was a good tournament.

[01:43:55] We got tickets to the game that night.

    [01:43:57] That's right.

[01:43:58] I remember we got to walk out on, on, uh, in the outfield of Fenway.

[01:44:01] That was, that was a good time.

    [01:44:02] That was impressive.

    [01:44:03] Very impressive.

    [01:44:04] Yeah.

[01:44:04] I didn't know you were there, Tom.

    [01:44:05] I had no idea.

    [01:44:06] Yeah.

[01:44:06] That was, uh, you know, it was kind of, uh, kind of cowering off there in the corner,

[01:44:09] just, just waiting to, waiting to play.

[01:44:12] And, uh, you know, it's, uh, it was early on cause I had only been at it for, you know,

[01:44:17] a couple of years at that point.

[01:44:18] I was still, you know, beginner, beginner at that point.

    [01:44:22] Beginner, beginner.

    [01:44:23] Beginner, beginner.

[01:44:24] He was at your level, but.

    [01:44:25] Oh, okay.

[01:44:26] He was probably better, way better.

    [01:44:29] Even beginner, beginner.

    [01:44:30] I don't know.

    [01:44:32] I don't know.

[01:44:33] It's, uh, but, uh, so, so, you know, I, and I've always been very grateful that, uh,

[01:44:38] that, that Kim was there taking photos and, and, you know, doing what she does.

[01:44:42] And it's just, you know, it's just one of those things.

[01:44:43] And I knew that as time went on, that if I, if I really tried harder, that maybe I'd

[01:44:47] be less of a beginner, beginner and more of like a more advanced beginner.

[01:44:50] And maybe just now that I'm a rookie, it's like, oh, those are the good old days.

[01:44:55] You moved, you moved up to like scrub status.

    [01:44:57] There you go.

    [01:44:57] That's good.

    [01:44:58] Yeah.

    [01:44:58] Barfly.

    [01:44:59] Barfly.

    [01:45:00] Yeah.

    [01:45:00] Barfly advanced.

[01:45:03] No, no, you're better than that, buddy.

[01:45:05] I mean, look, you, you've, you've won a couple of one days over there at the smash downs.

    [01:45:09] That's, that's not easy.

[01:45:10] So, uh, believe me, I look, I, I know, I know how that goes.

    [01:45:16] Believe me.

    [01:45:16] I do.

[01:45:17] You know, I've, I've won some of those with Billy and people, people are like, ah, you,

[01:45:22] you know, you played with Billy.

[01:45:23] It's like, no, it's, you know, you still got to do your job.

[01:45:25] So you, you do your job.

    [01:45:27] A win's a win.

    [01:45:28] So I'll take it.

[01:45:29] Can't take nothing away from you.

    [01:45:30] Absolutely.

[01:45:31] Take it when we can get it.

[01:45:32] But, uh, I gotta say, um, uh, Ginger, what, um, what do you think would be, um, if, if,

[01:45:40] uh, if, if, let's say if, um, uh, Randy were not traveling for foosball tournaments,

[01:45:47] uh, would you want him to, or that would that be something you wouldn't really, you know,

[01:45:52] if he decided he didn't want to travel anymore, would that be okay?

[01:45:56] Um, you mean like, uh.

[01:46:00] You know, stay home and play by himself.

[01:46:02] Just like what he's doing now.

    [01:46:02] Yeah.

[01:46:04] I mean, I mean, I'd be fine with either way.

    [01:46:08] Honestly, I just, uh.

    [01:46:12] Yeah.

[01:46:12] I wouldn't drive you crazy at all.

[01:46:13] If I was just hanging around my house.

    [01:46:15] No.

[01:46:15] And well, and I've told him, I'm like, okay, you know, this is fun.

[01:46:21] I mean, I get, yeah, I'm okay with it.

    [01:46:23] It's, I'd be fine either way.

[01:46:25] Um, the only thing is I did tell him if you do ever go out of the country, then I'm obviously

[01:46:32] I've got to go with you.

    [01:46:33] Right.

[01:46:34] You can't go out of country and not take me, even if it is just to play foosball.

    [01:46:39] Um, yeah.

[01:46:40] So that's our little deal.

[01:46:42] You know, if you ever do that, then I've got to go with you.

[01:46:45] And I, cause I've told her, Tom, like, you know, there's chances to qualify to go, you

[01:46:50] know, to play in Europe and.

    [01:46:52] Yep.

    [01:46:53] Excuse me.

[01:46:53] And I've told her, I said, well, if I ever qualify, you know, I said, I gotta go.

    [01:46:58] Yeah.

    [01:46:58] She's like, I gotta go too.

    [01:47:00] So that's the deal.

    [01:47:01] I like that.

[01:47:02] I like the sound of this.

    [01:47:04] Yeah.

[01:47:04] This sounds good to me.

    [01:47:06] No, and it's, it's, it's fair.

    [01:47:09] Right.

    [01:47:09] It's a good deal.

    [01:47:10] It's fair.

    [01:47:10] It's fair.

    [01:47:11] I wouldn't, I wouldn't do that without her.

[01:47:13] And I was going to mention that, by the way, on that topic, uh, Costa Rica is hosting their,

    [01:47:18] their summer beach tournament.

[01:47:20] Um, in March, March, March 13th.

    [01:47:23] So there's always that.

    [01:47:25] Oh, I know, Tom.

    [01:47:27] I know.

[01:47:27] Believe me, my back hurts.

    [01:47:28] Oh, my goodness.

    [01:47:30] So, um, yeah.

[01:47:31] So, you know, let me tell this down a little bit.

[01:47:33] So I actually, I talked to, um, I talked to Billy last week and he had been there.

    [01:47:39] Billy loves Costa Rica.

[01:47:40] He tells me all the time.

[01:47:41] He's like, dude, you gotta come to Costa Rica.

[01:47:43] And I'm like, yeah, I, you know, but again, it's not, you know, again, I love Billy.

[01:47:48] I've known Billy for years, over 20 years.

[01:47:51] And, uh, you know, I'm like, dude, you know, I'm not single anymore.

[01:47:55] Like I can't just come hang out.

[01:47:57] It's, it's just one of those things.

[01:47:58] It's like, if I'm going to go to Costa Rica, I have to bring my wife.

[01:48:02] So, um, he's like, dude, the tournament's good.

[01:48:05] You know, come play it.

    [01:48:07] Yeah.

[01:48:07] I just, I got to figure it out.

    [01:48:09] You know, I, I know it's getting better.

[01:48:12] The tournament's getting better every year.

[01:48:13] And I've told Ginger, I've told Ginger, I'm like, we should just sell everything and move to Costa Rica.

[01:48:17] But, um, you know, you, you teach, you teach, you know, English second language or something.

[01:48:23] I'll go down there and fire a truck or just live in a hut on the beach and be happy.

[01:48:28] But, um, I would love to go down there for that tournament in March, but I don't know if 2025, if it's going to happen, it might have to be 2026.

[01:48:37] We're going to have to save up some scratch, Tom.

[01:48:39] We did just blast the leak in the house and redo the carpets and spend like $8,000.

    [01:48:44] So yeah.

    [01:48:45] Yeah.

    [01:48:45] Yeah.

    [01:48:46] Well, yeah.

    [01:48:47] Homeownership is always great.

    [01:48:49] I hate it.

[01:48:50] Except when things go wrong.

    [01:48:51] So yeah.

    [01:48:52] Yeah.

[01:48:52] I'm going to move back in on my parents, Tom.

    [01:48:54] Yeah.

    [01:48:56] It's never too late.

    [01:48:57] Never too late.

[01:48:58] If I called them right now, I was like, Hey, we're selling the house.

    [01:49:02] We're moving in.

[01:49:03] They'd be like, yeah, come on, let's go.

    [01:49:05] They would love it.

[01:49:07] And the thing is like my old room is big enough where we could fit our bed and my foosball table.

    [01:49:11] It would work.

    [01:49:12] And the table.

    [01:49:12] Really?

[01:49:13] They wouldn't, they wouldn't charge me rent.

    [01:49:15] Like we'd be fine.

[01:49:16] The only problem is, you know, my ginger would have to deal with my mom and my grandmother.

    [01:49:21] Yes.

[01:49:22] And, um, I don't know how that would work out.

    [01:49:26] Okay.

    [01:49:27] Okay.

    [01:49:27] I'd be fine.

    [01:49:28] I'd be, I'd be fine.

    [01:49:30] Of course.

    [01:49:30] Of course.

    [01:49:31] Well.

[01:49:32] I love them, but it is, it's hard with more than one woman in the house.

[01:49:36] Like every, every woman has a different way of doing things.

    [01:49:41] So.

    [01:49:42] Yes.

[01:49:42] Like, I'm sure we would butt heads and we wouldn't be so friendly anymore.

[01:49:46] And I would hate that because I love his mom and his grandmother.

[01:49:50] Yeah, but think of all the money we'd save.

    [01:49:52] Yeah.

    [01:49:53] Yeah.

    [01:49:54] It's a big deal.

    [01:49:55] We'd save a bunch of money.

    [01:49:56] Well, there's always that.

[01:49:58] And then you get a good friendly game of foosball going in the kitchen.

[01:50:01] And then we could go, and then we could go to foosball tournaments.

    [01:50:04] See, Tom gets it.

    [01:50:05] There you go.

    [01:50:06] Yeah.

    [01:50:07] Everything can be solved.

    [01:50:08] No question about it.

    [01:50:10] Everything can be solved.

[01:50:10] Well, um, it seems like this idea of, of really having the, the ladies behind us really

[01:50:18] kind of become more, more, uh, public.

    [01:50:21] I think it's a great idea.

[01:50:23] Now, Kim, um, I'm wondering if you were, uh, if you were able to do the organization and

[01:50:28] bring together a society of women who, uh, who women and men actually, who suffer from

[01:50:34] being married to foosball players.

[01:50:35] Would that be something you could do?

    [01:50:38] Absolutely.

    [01:50:39] Yeah.

    [01:50:40] Cool.

    [01:50:40] Yeah.

[01:50:40] And we would just, we would just plan outings for that coincide with your foosball outings.

    [01:50:47] You know?

    [01:50:48] I got it.

    [01:50:49] Yeah.

    [01:50:49] Yeah.

[01:50:50] The activities outside of the foosball, we could be doing that.

    [01:50:53] Okay.

    [01:50:54] Like what though?

    [01:50:55] Like what though?

    [01:50:56] What types of activities?

[01:50:57] Oh, like, oh, think Costa Rica.

[01:51:00] There would be an enormous number of things that Ginger and I could do while you guys are

    [01:51:05] playing foosball.

    [01:51:06] Stuck inside playing foosball.

    [01:51:09] I'm sure.

    [01:51:09] Inside.

    [01:51:10] Yes.

[01:51:11] With no air conditioning, by the way.

    [01:51:14] Yeah.

    [01:51:15] Which is typical.

    [01:51:16] You know.

[01:51:17] But, uh, shirts and sandals and, and shorts and that's it.

    [01:51:22] That's pretty much it.

    [01:51:22] I see the video.

[01:51:23] I see the video from the tournament.

[01:51:25] They're in, they're in, uh, yeah, they're in board shorts and tank tops and sandals playing

    [01:51:29] foosball.

    [01:51:30] That's it.

[01:51:30] Or maybe us wives could go jet skiing.

    [01:51:33] Oh.

    [01:51:34] There we go.

    [01:51:35] Oh.

    [01:51:35] Yes.

    [01:51:36] Yes.

    [01:51:37] Yes.

    [01:51:37] Let's do it.

[01:51:38] I can tell you from experience that, you know, that many years ago we went to the, to the

[01:51:42] outer banks of North Carolina or South Carolina.

    [01:51:45] Right.

[01:51:46] Um, anyway, we went to the outer banks and, uh, we tried jet skiing for the first time.

[01:51:51] And she, can I tell you the story?

[01:51:54] Can I tell the story?

    [01:51:55] Is that be okay?

    [01:51:56] Yeah.

    [01:51:56] Yeah.

[01:51:56] So I took the first turn to, you know, just cause we got on this thing together and, and

[01:52:01] we just tooled around this.

[01:52:02] It was kind of a shallow bay and it was a pretty nice day, very sunny.

[01:52:06] And, uh, so I took my turn.

[01:52:08] I said, okay, you know, let's, let's, uh, you, you get on and you be the pilot this time.

[01:52:12] And I thought she was going to kill me.

[01:52:15] I mean, she took off like boom.

[01:52:18] And I mean, you need a fast, you need it fast.

[01:52:25] I mean, I was like, you're going to kill us both.

    [01:52:29] I mean, no.

[01:52:30] She loves to go fast.

    [01:52:32] Yes.

[01:52:33] She loves to go along just fine.

    [01:52:36] Yeah.

    [01:52:36] Wow.

    [01:52:37] Yeah.

[01:52:38] We, we got on some jet skis in Bermuda.

[01:52:41] We, we, we got out to the Bermuda triangle and she loved it.

    [01:52:45] We were blasting.

[01:52:46] And then we just went down to Destin.

    [01:52:48] What?

[01:52:48] It was a few months in June.

    [01:52:50] Yeah.

[01:52:51] And we got some jets.

[01:52:52] We got one jet ski being her down there.

[01:52:54] And she, I mean, we were, we were going what?

    [01:52:57] 70.

    [01:52:58] Really?

    [01:52:59] Pretty fast.

    [01:53:00] And then, um.

[01:53:01] Why are you slowing down?

[01:53:02] Why are you slowing down?

    [01:53:04] Oh yeah.

[01:53:05] That was a good time.

    [01:53:06] Oh yeah.

[01:53:08] Well, I guess it sounds like Costa Rica is going to be it.

[01:53:11] We're going to have to, at least 2026.

[01:53:13] We're going to have to do it, Randy.

    [01:53:14] I think that's.

[01:53:14] We're going to have to plan it.

    [01:53:16] Yeah.

    [01:53:16] No.

    [01:53:17] Chief.

[01:53:17] She'll, she, Ginger's not scared to try anything.

    [01:53:20] Nice.

    [01:53:21] She's not.

    [01:53:22] No.

    [01:53:22] All right.

    [01:53:22] All right.

    [01:53:23] Cool.

    [01:53:24] We went to Vegas.

[01:53:25] We did a West coast trip in 2019 and we flew into Vegas.

[01:53:29] And then we went to LA and San Francisco.

[01:53:30] And when we were in Vegas, we went to the, um, what's the one with the rides on, on the top

    [01:53:35] there?

[01:53:36] Oh, um, trying to think.

    [01:53:39] The Strat.

    [01:53:40] Oh, the Strat.

    [01:53:41] The Strat.

    [01:53:42] Okay.

    [01:53:42] Okay.

[01:53:42] Went to the Strat and they got a free fall.

[01:53:44] And then they got, uh, like a rollercoaster thing that hangs you off the side.

[01:53:48] And they got this, like this claw thing that spins.

    [01:53:52] And anyway.

    [01:53:53] There's nothing underneath you.

    [01:53:54] It's just like.

    [01:53:56] I am.

[01:53:57] I am petrified of heights.

    [01:53:59] I mean, I am, I am scared of, I am, I, I look heights and drowning.

    [01:54:05] I don't, I just, I, I, I have a problem.

[01:54:08] This one, we did the free fall.

[01:54:11] I was like, I'll do it with you.

[01:54:12] And the whole time they, cause they took pictures of us.

    [01:54:14] Right.

    [01:54:15] Okay.

    [01:54:15] There's cameras.

[01:54:15] And, and, and, and when I came down, I saw the photo and this is like.

    [01:54:23] I didn't breathe.

    [01:54:24] Nothing.

    [01:54:25] She's.

[01:54:26] And then, and then she did one.

    [01:54:29] It's like a rollercoaster.

[01:54:30] It's like a two seat rollercoaster and they just take off and it hangs you off the building.

[01:54:36] And then it brings you back.

[01:54:37] And it does it like four times.

[01:54:38] I had to go sit inside.

    [01:54:39] I'm like, I can't watch this.

[01:54:41] And then the other one, if you, after we get off, just go and Google the rides on the

    [01:54:45] strap.

[01:54:45] There's one, it's like a claw and it takes you and it hangs you off the side of the building

[01:54:49] and then it opens up and it just spins.

    [01:54:51] It just rotates.

    [01:54:52] And you're in a seat.

    [01:54:53] It's two seats with a lap.

[01:54:55] God, that's all it is.

[01:54:56] And I told her, I said, if you want to ride that, I said, it's Saturday.

[01:54:59] I said, I got to call on up your life insurance.

[01:55:01] I'm not letting you get on that thing unless I can help your life insurance.

[01:55:05] She wanted to do it so bad.

    [01:55:06] I'm not.

    [01:55:07] I said, no way.

    [01:55:08] No way in hell.

    [01:55:09] I ain't doing that crap.

[01:55:10] So, but she don't, she don't care me.

    [01:55:13] I'm, I'm a little, I like being on the ground.

    [01:55:15] I'm a little different.

    [01:55:15] So amazing.

    [01:55:17] Amazing.

[01:55:17] But man, you guys, you guys want to go, uh, you know, fight, uh, white.

    [01:55:23] Like shock cage thing.

[01:55:25] I mean, whatever you want to shield it.

    [01:55:27] Whatever.

    [01:55:27] Anyway.

[01:55:28] And I can, I can, I can see Ginger and I are going to have some adventures when you guys

    [01:55:32] are playing foosball.

    [01:55:33] Well, let's go.

    [01:55:35] All right.

    [01:55:36] Let's go.

    [01:55:37] Let's plan it.

    [01:55:38] Costa Rica 2026.

    [01:55:39] Let's go.

    [01:55:40] It's settled.

    [01:55:41] Yep.

[01:55:41] Uh, and, and, uh, Jim's, Kim's getting her, uh, her, uh, her, uh, passport.

[01:55:47] And, uh, so, and she may be traveling to, uh, to England later, uh, in 2025, uh, for,

    [01:55:53] for a garden tour.

    [01:55:54] Yeah.

    [01:55:55] So.

    [01:55:56] Yeah.

[01:55:56] She wants to go to England.

[01:55:58] She wants to go to Ireland.

    [01:55:59] Yeah.

[01:56:00] She, she wants to, you know, yeah.

    [01:56:02] Yes.

    [01:56:03] I told her, I said, perfect.

    [01:56:05] Go to Europe.

[01:56:06] Blonde hair, blue eyed, pretty girl like you with a Southern accent.

[01:56:09] You'll do well in Europe.

    [01:56:10] Go.

    [01:56:13] I ain't going with you.

[01:56:14] There's lots of, lots of nice people in, in Europe.

[01:56:17] I can tell you that.

    [01:56:18] So.

    [01:56:19] Sure there are.

    [01:56:19] Not to worry.

    [01:56:22] It's like anywhere.

    [01:56:23] Of course it is.

    [01:56:24] Of course.

[01:56:24] And my, my parents, my parents, what they did, they did like a 30 day and they did a

    [01:56:29] 21 day.

[01:56:29] They've been, they've been all over that place.

[01:56:31] They, they, they love it.

    [01:56:32] They said it's fine.

    [01:56:33] That's awesome.

[01:56:34] It's just a matter of time, Tom.

[01:56:36] I, you know, I like, I have to ration my days off.

[01:56:41] I can't like, Oh, I need time off to go on vacation with my wife.

[01:56:45] Like that just sounds dumb.

[01:56:46] It doesn't even make sense.

[01:56:47] Like I need my days to go play foosball.

    [01:56:50] Unbelievable.

[01:56:52] The life you live, the life you live, but we are very lucky.

    [01:56:56] Nonetheless, it's a struggle.

    [01:56:57] It's a struggle.

[01:56:58] Guys, we got to do this more often.

[01:57:00] I think we need, we need to do this on a regular basis.

[01:57:02] The real wives of food suck a lot, but I think this is a, this is a lot of fun.

    [01:57:06] Yeah.

[01:57:07] You know, we need, we need to do this after a tournament.

    [01:57:10] Right.

[01:57:10] So that way we can get a real feel for what, like, you know, we probably should have did

[01:57:14] this after Michigan because we were both in Michigan.

    [01:57:16] Right.

    [01:57:17] Right, right, right.

[01:57:18] So, but now, you know, we both, we, we got the ice broke now.

[01:57:21] We can, you know, we can definitely do it again.

    [01:57:24] Nice.

    [01:57:24] Very cool.

[01:57:25] Well, well, Ginger, thank you so much for being on the show.

[01:57:28] And chief, I'm, I am so happy that you were able to, to just, just jump in and do this.

    [01:57:35] Oh, thanks.

    [01:57:36] Yeah.

    [01:57:37] Yeah.

    [01:57:38] Thank you, chief.

    [01:57:39] Appreciate it.

[01:57:39] I really appreciate you coming on.

    [01:57:40] Yeah.

[01:57:41] And now I have to, I mean, it's, it's still, it's still early enough, right?

[01:57:45] You still got a little bit of time.

[01:57:46] Well, now I've got to go pay my penance.

    [01:57:48] So that's.

    [01:57:49] Yeah.

[01:57:52] He's got a hundred minutes left out.

    [01:57:55] Yeah.

    [01:57:56] You and me both.

    [01:57:58] Oh boy.

[01:58:00] It's from, from one homeowner to another, there's always a list, right?

[01:58:05] It never, it never stopped.

[01:58:06] I'm waiting for all the leaves to fall off my trees before I rake them up.

[01:58:09] Cause I don't want to do it more than once.

[01:58:11] Oh, we're way too late for that here.

    [01:58:13] They're a bit down.

[01:58:15] Yeah, no, they're down here, but it's just like, they're half down, you know?

[01:58:19] So I got, I got a big tree in the front of my house and a big tree in the back of my house.

[01:58:23] And it was, it was, it was like, it was like 85 degrees.

[01:58:27] So it was so hot.

    [01:58:29] No kidding.

    [01:58:29] Torture hot.

[01:58:30] Like you don't want to be outside raking leaves when it's this hot.

    [01:58:32] Terrible.

[01:58:33] We had the warmest Halloween on record here in upstate New York.

[01:58:37] It was 78 degrees on Halloween day.

    [01:58:39] Let's go.

    [01:58:40] So that's really unusual.

    [01:58:42] But today it's like 44, 44 and sunny.

    [01:58:45] Yeah.

    [01:58:46] That's normal.

[01:58:47] Did you, did you have a bunch of people out for Halloween?

    [01:58:49] Like it was low.

[01:58:50] We, it was, it was really slow.

    [01:58:52] Really?

    [01:58:53] Yeah.

[01:58:54] It was slow this year.

[01:58:55] We didn't get as many as we usually, we usually get hundreds and hundreds of trick-or-treaters,

[01:59:00] but it was down this year too.

    [01:59:03] Just like you guys.

    [01:59:04] It seemed like.

    [01:59:05] Yeah.

    [01:59:05] I don't know.

    [01:59:06] I don't know why.

    [01:59:06] Yeah.

[01:59:07] I think just a, maybe just an off year or something, but, and maybe some of the kids in

[01:59:12] our area probably grew up and just don't do it anymore.

[01:59:14] Um, there was a time when we first.

    [01:59:16] That's possible.

    [01:59:17] Yeah.

[01:59:17] When we first moved in, you'd see tons of kids, you know, probably anywhere from preschool

[01:59:23] to, uh, like fifth grade just covered this place.

    [01:59:27] Just tons of them.

[01:59:28] And 15 pounds of candy out the door.

    [01:59:31] Boom.

    [01:59:32] Yeah.

[01:59:33] Like usually they'll come from other neighborhoods into our neighborhood.

[01:59:37] It wasn't even, it wasn't even like that.

[01:59:39] It was the typical neighborhood kids.

[01:59:41] And then, um, at about eight o'clock it was, I came in the house.

    [01:59:46] It was done.

    [01:59:47] No kidding.

    [01:59:47] Wow.

    [01:59:48] Yeah.

    [01:59:49] Well, um, who knows?

[01:59:51] Maybe next year they'll, they'll come back and be twice the number, but we'll, we'll see

    [01:59:54] about that.

    [01:59:55] We'll see about that.

    [01:59:56] Yeah.

    [01:59:56] Yeah.

    [01:59:56] We'll see.

    [01:59:57] Yeah.

[01:59:58] So guys, this has been a blast.

    [02:00:00] I really appreciate it.

[02:00:02] And, and again, you know, this is the first time we've ever attempted such a thing,

[02:00:06] but I think the real wives of Foos Talk Live has been a smashing success.

    [02:00:11] Let's go.

    [02:00:12] Good times.

    [02:00:13] Chief.

    [02:00:13] Thank you.

    [02:00:14] Ginger, my love.

[02:00:15] Thank you for coming on.

    [02:00:16] Appreciate it.

    [02:00:17] Ginger.

[02:00:17] Nice to meet you all.

    [02:00:18] Yes.
