[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah.
[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_03] What's up? Tom, when are we going to revamp that intro? How about tomorrow? I'll be asleep.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_05] We are live from Las Vegas, the Westgate for the 2025 World Foosball Tour Hall of Fame Classic. And I think everybody sitting around this table is just a little bit burnt. Burnt? Burnt out a little bit. But nonetheless, we are here. We are live. Episode number 250.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_05] Randy, you're looking a little worse for wear, dude.
[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_03] I'm the worst version of myself right now. I can't be on here too long because I'm probably going to say some things I'm going to regret. And this is live and recorded. Oh, yes. I can't give you any evidence.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_05] Yes, it is. Okay. All right. Well, we'll go with it though. So, okay. Number one. Number one. We'll go with it. We'll go with it. What's on your mind? How have you been doing this weekend?
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_03] I was playing good Friday night when Pro Double started. Yep. Even though I flew in super early, I was helping out, running around all day. And then Pro Double started at 10. We had a bye because we had the ninth seed. I played with Bruce Welton. Yes. And then we won three matches. I think we got to ninth. And then they called it for the night, which was nice. Got some sleep. So, Saturday got up.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_03] Had a really kind of like a marathon match against Chris Marks and Deiter Thiel. We beat them 6-4 in the fifth overtime. That was a good one to get the fifth. Awesome. And then Open Double started. Played with Sullivan. We had a nice run. Beat some good teams. The Hall of Fame ceremony was, it was, I mean, Billy got inducted. Tony got inducted. So well done. It was emotional. It was beautiful. Two guys, obviously, that deserved it.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03] Tony's having a great weekend. He's already doubled. Working on his third win of the weekend playing mix right now. I'm actually watching him play. Jacob and looks like Stacy Fowler over here on table three. Yep. And I just want to go to bed, Tom. Like, I'm frustrated that I still have to sit on a plane and fly home. Oh, yeah, I know. I know. But, yeah.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_05] It's worth it, though, right? Not even a little bit. Not even a little bit? Nope. Well, can I say that you did a nice job last night during the ceremony. Thank you. And, of course, introducing the players last night. Awesome job, man.
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_03] Thank you. I tried, man. I'm glad that I get the opportunity to be involved. I feel like as things continue to grow and, you know, as I get more comfortable doing it, hopefully, it'll just get better. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, but thank you for that. I appreciate it.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_05] It's great to have you out there, man, because everybody knows you. Everybody loves you, man.
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_03] I don't know about loves me, but look, man. I just, honestly, this weekend, I had a lot of people come up to me and just say how much they appreciate what we do. Okay. And they were thankful. They, you know, just said thank you. And they said, you know, that I did a great job. And I don't really take compliments well, but I just said thank you. I appreciate it.
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03] Anybody that comes up and wants to talk or say thanks, I love that stuff, man. It's awesome. So, I hope I'm approachable. Now, you're a grouchy old bastard is what you are. Listen, today I am. Don't come talk to me today. You guys are lucky I flew in. I don't have any weaponry on me.
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_05] Ooh. By the way, did you notice down the hall there's a dark tournament? Yeah. You notice on there, there's a list of things you are not allowed to bring into that tournament, including backpacks, including weapons of any kind. Like, they name off, like, no handguns. Yeah. Why do you have to do that in a dark? Why would you need a list of things you can't bring?
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_03] Because dark players are bigger degenerates than foosball players, I guess. They drink a lot more. Yeah. Yeah, there you go. Oh, way more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's for sure. And the crazy thing is it's a soft-tipped tournament. Like, I just, we just had, listen, stop. That's my wife's nickname for me, soft-tip. So, we just had dinner at Benihana's, and a couple of dark players sat with us. And actually, Bruce Welton had asked them why. Why they sat with you? No, at Benihana's, they just kind of see this.
[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_03] But he asked me, he's like, why all the rules? And he basically was like, alcohol.
[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_09] Were they really good at pointing at the menu, what they wanted? Dude. Did you just come up with that right now? Freestyling, man. That was really good. That was really good. That is so fast. I also want to tell Randy, you're getting really good at accepting compliments, by the way. Oh. You're really good at it, dude. Hey, screw you guys. Whoa. Cool. Welcome to Vegas. That's probably an option, too.
[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_05] And these guys, Clay Toomey and, of course, Adam Gilson, rocking it this weekend. Did we pre-communicate? Did we communicate?
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_09] Did we pre-communicate?
[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_05] Pre-communicate about what?
[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_09] I don't know. Did we come in early?
[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05] No, no. You're good.
[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_09] Okay.
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_03] No, no, no.
[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_09] You're good.
[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_03] Pre-communicate. Yeah, there's a joke. There's a joke there. There it is. I told you, I'm the worst version of myself right now, dude. Oh, this is going to be bad. Just don't pull out too soon.
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_00] Okay, Tom.
[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_03] Hey. That's your best one ever. Hey, it's been fun. Everybody have a good night. Go ahead and hit the clothes. We're done with it. From the Westgate 2025, it's been fun. Hall of Fame Classic. Let's go. Wow. Back-to-back burners. That was good. I like it.
[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_05] So, okay. Modern Foos, the Hall of Fame Classic. I mean, all this came together, man. I mean, it was beautiful. It was just beautiful.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_05] Now, your perspective, Clay, you can nigh answer this one. Your perspective, technically, how much work, how much effort did you guys put into this thing?
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_09] About tree-fitty. Three-fitty. Yeah. I'd say, so, the planning is the big part, actually. The actual setting up of tables and the spider and the cameras and all the stuff, when it gets to that point, it's pretty much just press play and go with it. The planning is the big part of it. And I will not pretend to do more than I did. Ryan Moore is the big brains behind pretty much everything that's happening here. He knows who to point to and who to ask questions and who to make things happen.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_09] But if it's happening here and you liked it, it was probably an idea that crossed his mind at some point. Whether it's, you know, the chairs instead of bleachers, the drone that's been flying around taking videos. Yep. The formats, the pit is in the middle of the room and is easily accessible to pretty much everybody. There's a bazillion tables here. Ryan planned the hell out of this thing. And then at that point, it's just a matter of executing, which is a team of, I think he said 40 last night? Yep. 40 plus? Yep.
[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_09] And it's been going off mostly without a hitch for the whole weekend.
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_05] Okay. And this is just an example of the second big event for the World Foosball Tour. I mean, if this is what we're looking at for the future? Sure. All bets are off. Adam, what's your perspective on this whole thing? What say you?
[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_08] Well, I'm reminded of just a few months ago, we were sitting here doing the same exact thing the Sunday of Tour kickoff. And as Ryan was there, and he was just saying that this was phase one, I think there's a lot. And he's going to get an earful from people this weekend about what worked and obviously what didn't. Yep. Which there was plenty of both. Probably more good than bad, I think. But, you know, it's one of those situations where whatever happened at TKO was shined up, polished, and brought here.
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_08] And I have never walked into a tournament room and lost my breath.
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah.
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_08] Until this weekend, when I first walked in here and saw the spider, saw the banner, saw the attention to detail, saw the lack of clutter. Yeah. It was just focus. It was just focus on the event. Focus on the players. Focus on, you know, we talk about the gas factor for Ryan when he plays. Uh-huh. He is fully 100% gives a shit factor right here, right now. Yeah. For this. Fully activated. Yeah. And you can feel it. I know there's some things that need to change.
[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_08] Which, and that's the case with everything, like my shoes and socks and things and such. So, you know, that's just what we have here. But as far as the experience, I didn't even play it this weekend. And I felt like I had a great player experience.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_05] No, that's what it's geared for. Randy, just pure as a player, how do you feel about this whole weekend? Okay.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_03] So, the tables, tables are pretty consistent. Okay. There was some drag on some of the rods, probably from the newer tables that came in. The balls, I feel like, is still an issue that needs to be worked out. Yep. But, as a player walking in, this is, hands down, the nicest room I've been in. As far as the layout, just the pure, you know, perception of the room, the way it looks. Yeah.
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_03] You know, the Spider, Modern Foods, they're set up, obviously. The pits look great. The tournament probably could have run a little tighter. And I feel like there's multiple reasons for that. I know players. Man, that's one thing I'm going to say about players. Dude, put your results in, dude. Yeah. Seriously.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05] There's always that, though, right? Put your results in.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_03] And, again, it adds up. And it's all time. And it's all our time. Like, the only people we're hurting is ourselves. And get to the table. Yeah, those are the two big ones.
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_09] Get to the table and then put your results in.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_03] It's not hard, especially with the technology we have. Like, the match is over. Grab your phone. Go to the website. Put your result in. Yeah. Move on with your life. Yeah. And I feel like just that alone would make such a difference in moving things along. Like Adam said, I think Ryan's going to get an earful from multiple directions, positive and negative. And he's going to be receptive. And he's going to make the changes that correct it.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_03] But coming from the TKO to this tournament, things have already gone up levels. Oh, yeah, yeah. And I'm super excited to see what Nationals is going to look like and then Worlds. Of course, he announced Worlds.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Well, it's going to be in New Orleans, by the way. I wanted to say it.
[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, I'm sorry.
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_05] I'm sorry. We can fill in the details.
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_09] Adam, can we cut that in post?
[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_05] What's the date? New Orleans.
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03] Same weekend as always. Yeah. I mean, really, Tom? Same weekend as always. He's going to be in New Orleans. He had a video. I'm sure he's going to post that on Facebook, too. Dude, it looks so cool. It looks so cool. Yeah. So, you know, what he's doing as far as, like, scouring the country for locations that have great tournaments. And he's not cheaping out, you know, where he's getting high-end ballrooms, high-end hotels. Yeah.
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_03] You know, I'm excited for where this thing's going, man. I really am.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_05] It's just going up from here. That's plain and simple. And it's just exciting. Just when it comes to attendance, just to give you a couple of examples, when it comes to the amount of teams. Let's take pro doubles, for example. 92 teams. 92 teams. Pro doubles. Or in open singles. I mean, you had 163 players and then 128 teams for open doubles. For open doubles. Yep. I mean, that's pretty freaking impressive.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. I mean, you finally got, you know, people that are psyched to be here and they're showing up, man. They're showing up. Okay.
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_08] And you would think those numbers also are a little bit more deflated than I think would have happened this year if it wasn't for the World Cup. Yeah. A hundred percent. Yeah.
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_09] Yep. And the thing in Dallas. Yeah.
[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_03] A hundred percent. Yep.
[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_09] A great man once said, there was the Newt Dogocrates who said, for shizzle.
[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_00] For shizzle. Yeah. Wait, wait.
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_09] Say the name again. Snoop Dogcrates. I'm going to edit a little bit. I think Snoop Dogcrates.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_08] I want to hear it the second time. That's even better.
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_09] Snoop Dogcrates. If I say it a third time, your head will explode. It'll be even that much better. Don't, please. I already have a headache. Thank you.
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_03] Thank you.
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_09] By the way, the Hyatt in downtown New Orleans. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_03] That's where it's going to be. Let's go.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_03] Nice. Yeah. It's not going to be by the airport where it's been. Right. Yeah, yeah. It's okay to take a walk at night. Yeah, yeah. The way you might get, you know, maybe robbed or something. But whatever, man. It is what it is.
[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_05] And you won't care one way or the other. I'm not getting robbed. No, I know you're not. I'm fine. I know you're not. I'm not getting robbed. I'm okay. Can we talk weapons here? What do you want? What do you need? I got you. You're not going to go into a dart tournament anytime soon. I can tell you that. I don't want those things flying at me, dude.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_09] That's the funny thing is don't bring any sharp objects into the dart tournament. What is that? And your point is? They have about 4,000 darters over there, by the way. Yeah, they had a buttload of people. Yeah, yeah.
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_03] Well, and so I heard, okay, so comparative to what we're doing over here, like this was a 55K. And for anybody who wasn't here, Ryan gave away $4,000 last night. Yeah. Just gave away 4K in cash. What they're giving out over there, like what did the winners of Open Doubles get over here?
[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_09] I do not have that information, but I will search it. Keep going. I'll search it.
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. It was like, so over there, I was told it's like 20 bucks to get into an event. Okay. To win maybe like 400 bucks. 400. So comparative.
[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_09] So the payout per entry here is outrageously better.
[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_03] Outrageously better. Yeah. Again, we have, you know, we have 10% of the participation here, but the money's way better. So for anybody who complains about the money in foosball, it's like go play darts. Yeah. Go play.
[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_09] First place in Open Doubles, $4,000. First place in Open Singles, $1,500. Yep. So on and so forth down the line. Yep. Oh, good lord. Women's doubles was $1,000. Amateur doubles was $1,000. Expert doubles was $1,500. Pro doubles was $1,800.
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_03] Damn. $1,800 in pro doubles. Yes. God. Oh, God.
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_09] 20 years ago.
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_03] That hurts my feelings. 20 years ago was a grand. What'd you get, Adam? A grand.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_03] A grand.
[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.
[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_09] Shout out to the pro doubles champions from 20 years ago, apparently.
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Adam still has that 500 bucks. I do. Probably, yeah. Yeah. And his wallet, like tucked away. Just in case.
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_08] It's right next to the prophylactic I keep there. Just in case.
[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_09] Professional lactic.
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_08] I love it.
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_09] Just in case. Just in case. Only the best for my pal. Oh, that's funny. No amateur lactic. Yeah.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_03] He needs it in case he has to pre-communicate. Mm. Yeah. It's called back.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_09] Pre-communication. Unedited and rawr.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_05] And suddenly it's flying. Yeah. Okay. Here's one thing I got to say about last night with the ceremonies and open doubles and women's doubles. Dude, you look around the room, everybody's watching at the same time. Yeah. Everybody was sitting. And the cameras were panning through the crowd. I mean, that was impressive.
[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_09] Turns out these foosball players are also fans. Yeah. Who'd have thunk it?
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_05] And everybody's watching. I mean, you know, some people are doing whatever they're doing, but most people are here checking it out, being part of the action, watching history in the making. Yeah. Yeah. It's the first time the World Foosball Tour has held this Hall of Fame Classic. And man, not a dry eye on the house when it comes to Tony being inducted in and, of course, Billy. How do you feel about your pal? My eyes were dry.
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_03] I was... Oh, okay. So have you seen Casino? Not Casino. Goodfellas. Have you seen Goodfellas? Oh, yeah. Okay.
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_05] Many times.
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_03] So the part where Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro talk about Joe Pesci getting the call to be made. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they say in the movie, it's like him getting in is like us getting in. And that's just... I mean, obviously, I'm not Billy. I don't have Billy's career, but it just feels like that for my guy to get in. He's the first player from Massachusetts. First player from the Northeast, maybe? Yep. I mean, obviously, he's a multi-generational talent.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_03] Maybe the greatest physical foosball player to ever play. In my opinion, he is. I am biased. I don't care. That's what Tony said. Okay. The GOAT himself. It came out of his mouth. The greatest physical player to ever touch a table.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_09] The most physically talented. Physically talented. Yeah.
[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_03] And I've said this to people. If Billy had Tony's drive, Billy would never lose a game. Yeah. I don't care. Come fight me. I'm saying it. I'm just... Think about it. If Billy had Tony's drive and will to win, he would never lose. Foosball would be so... It's boring for him now. It would be so boring for him just beating people 5-0 game after game. So, for him getting in... And I saw Nancy. I was at Worlds in 05 when Billy won his first.
[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_03] And I still remember seeing Nancy get emotional watching Billy win. And I could only imagine how it felt for her being there from the beginning, bringing him to tournaments. Yeah. And seeing him just grow into now, at that point, being a world champ and then eventually becoming the best player in the world. To now seeing Nancy here, watching Billy get inducted.
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_04] What a great moment.
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_03] I was just trying to keep it together, man. I was happy for my boy. Obviously, Tony. I've known Tony a long time. He's just... Dude, Tony's the best. He's the best foosball player, but he's the best for foosball. Yes. Great ambassador. You know, like Dana said, it's like, dude, you... Tony's so... So, years ago, and maybe you guys can attest this, maybe more Adam than you, Clay, because Adam was around even before I was. Masters were never approachable.
[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03] Masters were... There was a click. Like, I remember going to majors and the pits were roped off, pros only. And it was a click and you had to be one to get in. And you didn't talk to those guys. You didn't go up to them. And, you know, things have changed. And I feel like Tony really broke the mold for that. Hell yeah.
[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_08] Hell yeah. Yeah, no, the Masters back then were dickheads. There's just no... There's no sugarcoating that.
[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I was trying to think of the word.
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_08] Putting the ass in master. Dickhead is it. And I'll tell you, it was. It was both Billy and Tony, really, that did foosball nice. Yeah. You know, and that just changed everything. Yeah.
[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, like, Billy, I was a rookie. And Billy was already a master. And, you know, he played with me. And, like, he played events. And, like, you know.
[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_08] And I do want to specify that I think that they were dickheads because the Masters before them were dickheads. It was a cyclical thing. They felt, oh, well, this is how I'm treated. I will fight you in a DYP in the alley kind of stuff, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because that's just how it's supposed to be. It ain't how it has to be. You don't have to be like that.
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03] Well, and that's not how it is anymore. No.
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_08] And that's thankfully good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_03] The majority of the top guys now are just super approachable. And I'm glad because it's great for foosball. Yeah. Like I said, Tony's great for foosball.
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, the cyclical nature of abuse is a hell of a thing to behold, even in small cases like in foosball. So I'm glad that that's gone. Yeah.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_05] There's no need. I mean, we're all basically pulling on the same side of the rope here. And if you're being a dickhead.
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_08] I don't know why that made me laugh. Don't mix those words up. I know. You were close to seconds from disaster. No, no, keep going, Tom. No, no, keep going, Tom.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_03] No, keep going, especially with Clay and Adam here. Keep going with that vernacular. Go ahead.
[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_05] When you think about that, if you're being a dickhead and, you know, certain things that shouldn't might spill out. What can I tell you? Oh, my God. What can I tell you?
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_03] Best episode ever. 250. Here we go. Good job, Squirt.
[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_08] I didn't know you had that in you. All right.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_04] I never had a vasectomy. I'm sorry. Oh, my God. This is so good. This is so good. Yeah.
[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_05] So, okay. We're looking at the future. We've got, let's see, nationals.
[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_05] Then we've got worlds. Yeah. And World Cup. World Cup in between. I mean, there's so much going on.
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_08] Well, in Florida State in a few weeks. Florida State. That's going to be all of that. Yeah. Yeah. That's going to be great. Yep. There is a ton of stuff. When are you guys back on the road?
[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_09] Florida State. Yeah. May 1st. Okay. May 1st through May 4th. Florida State in Tampa, Florida.
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_05] Dang. Yeah.
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_08] They're going to have Scott O'Hare. Oh, my gosh. Casey Pruitt. And you want me to do it? You just want to do it? You want to stretch your memory there? Do it.
[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_09] You can do it. I believe in you. Yeah. Mike, yours brother. Bingo. I was going to say the third one. Wait. Yeah.
[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03] The second? Which? Fourth brother? Wait. Mike, yours is the fourth brother. I know there's only two of them. Yeah. He's at the 50. Well, there was three. And unfortunately, no. But anyway. At the 10? Yeah. Yeah.
[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_09] Real God.
[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_03] Tomothy? Tomothy Yor? Tomothy. Yeah, Tomothy. Okay. Tomothy. Long Tom Silver. It was in there.
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_09] It was in there. Yeah. King Tom.
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_09] Tom Yor.
[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_03] I mean, he's already in the big Hall of Fame, right?
[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. 2020, the year that they had the not tournament here.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_09] That's when they were like, you know what? Let's get him in there while we don't have a ceremony.
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_03] Sweet.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Yeah. That's a joke. Clearly not a funny one. But it was a joke nonetheless.
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_03] It was funnier on the back end, though, for real.
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_09] Here's a funny story about that, though. Five years ago, Tony and Billy were 35. Yeah. Before that year, Hall of Fame minimum age requirement was 35. When Billy and Tony turned 35 in September of 2019, they changed the age to be 40, which is why that year, which is why Tony and Billy were not inducted in 2020. They weren't old enough yet, even though they would have been without the rule change. So they didn't get inducted the year that there wasn't a ceremony.
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_09] Stroke of luck there.
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_05] Yep.
[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_09] And then a few others, I believe it was Tom Yor, Christina Fuchs.
[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_05] And it's Blake Robertson, everybody. What's up, Blake?
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_09] A third that I can't do. A third that I can't remember. But yeah, so that's because of that. It didn't happen in the COVID year. And it was this year instead.
[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_02] What's up, everybody? Tuning in. I hope everybody's having a good time on Sunday here. I hope everybody, we got Clay, got Adam, got Tom, Robinson, Foosball Radio, and your boy Randy. Ozo, Pim, Daddy Mac, the players from the Himalayas. Are you kidding me? Let's go.
[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_05] The voice. Oh, you want to jump in, Ryan? You want to jump in, Ryan? Ryan Moore wants to say something. No, he doesn't. Oh, no.
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_09] He just wants attention by walking away.
[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_05] By the way, nice job last night. The ceremony, nice job.
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_01] Thank you. Thank you very much. I hope I did two of the greatest players of all time.
[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_09] You did better than you're doing right now, that's for sure.
[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_01] Mike Clay's getting upset. We all know how to do it.
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_06] No humor allowed. No humor allowed. Do not upset Clay.
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_05] Do not do it. No, it's the ceremony last night, of course, with Blake introducing Tom. I mean, it was just, it was really, really well done. It's a good time.
[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_09] This is the first ceremony where the viewership on the stream went up during the ceremony. Oh, wow. About 10%.
[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_04] That's right there, yeah. What does that tell you?
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_09] Yep. Yep.
[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_04] That's terrific.
[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_08] Turns out the details matter. They do. A little bit. And also having a 45-minute preamble of the history of the Hall of Fame, is it really necessary to enjoy the Hall of Fame?
[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_03] Well, no. Let's talk about everybody that's been inducted. So.
[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_09] Get out your letterman's jacket. The Hall of Fame started.
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_03] Well, you know, I just think, look, I'm not a Hall of Famer. I'm never going to be a Hall of Famer. I'm not on the committee. I don't know anything about it. But I think if we're having a tournament and we're going to induct people, just talk about the people that are getting inducted. Yeah. And if there's enough Hall of Famers and they want to get together and have dinner, then do that. That's fine. But, you know.
[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_05] Well, hey, there could be in the very near future a Hall of Fame category that didn't exist before. And that would include crotchety podcasters. I don't know. Well, you'll get them before me. Dude, you're issuing. Oh, I'm not crotchety. Not even close.
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_03] Tom, you're so lucky I flew in, Tom. Welcome to Crotch Talk Radio. Crotch Talk Radio. Raw and unedited.
[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_05] Please do not hurt me. No, it's, I think that especially with the status of Billy and Tony going in at the same time, same age, it only makes sense, man. That was just a great combination. And then to watch Tony win open doubles. I mean, nothing could be better.
[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_09] After he won open singles.
[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I think that's the first time that's ever happened. Somebody gets inducted. Well, Rob won doubles the year he got inducted.
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03] I don't think anybody's ever got inducted and doubled and potentially tripled.
[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_09] Also, let's think, like, by the time you're eligible for the Hall of Fame, I mean, who's still winning at that point most of the time? Nobody, usually. Yeah. Tony's a freak. A hundred percent. We were like two matches away from having a Tony versus Billy open singles final. Yeah. Really? Yeah. Rob Atha beat Billy. Billy Pappas in the quarterfinal. And then. Then he beat Brandon. And then. Yeah. Yeah. And then he beat Brandon to make it to the final. Yeah.
[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_09] Otherwise, we likely would have had a Tony versus Billy. And I can guarantee you that's never happened.
[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_09] The two inductees. Two inductees playing. In the open singles final. That would have been. Epic, dude. That would have been crazy. Epic. Yeah. So, all hate to Robert Atha. Yeah. Send that to whatthehellatwww.gobacktotheuk.com. No, that was going to happen.
[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_03] That was like Billy even said it before the match. He's like, he better beat me. He's so good. He better beat me. I was like, what?
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_06] Yeah.
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03] No, Rob Atha's amazing. Oh, of course. He is. I legitimately, I said it. Rob's the only guy in the room that I think could have beat Tony. Yeah. I mean, there are people in the room that could beat Tony. But Rob is.
[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_09] That's the best shot you thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03] 100%. In this room, it was him. So, no disrespect to any of the other players. But Rob plays Tony tough. He's a bad match for him.
[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_05] Well, I mean, Tony was on fire last night. Just on fire. I mean, you could see it in his play. He was just so determined that this was, you know, this is going to be his weekend. Yeah, it was.
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_08] I'll tell you a little nugget that I noticed this weekend was the continued growth of Jake Barnett. Yeah. Him playing goalie with Trevor to get to the final and giving a good, decent match in places.
[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_05] It was very good.
[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_08] It was. And that's a hell of a team. I mean, that's an all-time team.
[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_05] How many times did they? 4-4 was like twice, right?
[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. It was good. And he's changed a whole bunch. Barnett has changed a whole bunch of his mechanics and his play style in the last year alone.
[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_09] Even down to the way that he holds the rod with some of the shots that he had already been good at.
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_05] Yep.
[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_09] He's put in some – you can tell that he has put in some serious work with his overall game generally and also specifically down to literally where his wrist is and where his palm is while he's shooting.
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah, yeah. And Jacob, is it late 20s now?
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_09] I don't know. God, is that – is somebody ringing the doorbell? Is that the way it's being reset in our world? I don't know how old he is. I think late 20s sounds about right. I'm not that creepy. I don't actually keep up with the – Yeah.
[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_03] I don't know. Yeah. He did something last night in the final that for – I don't know why, but it cracked me up. Something fierce. But he got stuffed and he went – Yes.
[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_09] Yes.
[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_03] And I don't –
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_09] I'll tell you what it is. Early in the match, when – it's not necessarily when he gets stuffed, but when he gets – when slop goes against him or a break goes against him, he celebrates. Because? I don't want to speak for him, but I know the general idea is it's like a reverse psychology anti-negativity thing. The math is going to catch up. You'll get unlucky. You'll get lucky. So, instead of being, you know, pissed off when it goes against me, I'm going to – yes!
[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_09] And just put good energy out there. Yeah. And so, early in the – in the early part of the match, maybe even game one, they had a break against them. And I think it was – I think it was Adam who said we're waiting to see – was it you or somebody? We're waiting to see about that celebration. This might have been somebody in the chat, actually. Okay. Who made a comment of I was waiting to see the celebration from Jake from having a ball trickle in his own hole. And it didn't happen. And then it happened two times after that. Both times he said, yes, come on, Jacob!
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I mean, he is a numbers guy.
[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. So –
[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, yeah.
[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_09] For sure. So that's why – if you see him, it's very confusing. We had a match in Vegas last year. I believe it was the expert singles final. Maybe the pros something shootout, this or that. It was meatball in the last – and it was not overtime, so it was the very last ball. Whoever scored next wins. Jake's opponent scored, and Jake celebrated. And it was so confusing because it was a break that went against him that he celebrated, even on match ball.
[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_09] So, yeah, pretty quirky dude and has some funny things that he does. And it's jarring, dude. It's weird to have somebody celebrate your own goal. Oh, yeah. And I'm about it. Keep doing it.
[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I feel like if he did that and I was playing him, it would kind of throw me off.
[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_09] For sure.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_03] Like, what the – were you – what? Yeah.
[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_09] No, it's confusing. Look at the opponent next time. They're like, what the heezy? Yeah. Snoop Docter T's was like, yo – never mind. Back to you, Tom.
[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_05] So, no, it's something to do with the fact that he was 10 years old and lecturing on quantum physics. Right. I mean – Huh? Yeah. Yeah, but this is foosball. Yeah. I know, but it's – Quantum foosball. Quantum foosball. There has to be – there's a correlation in there somewhere. I'm just not educated enough to say what it might be. I can tell.
[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_03] Well, I got a –
[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_09] It's screaming very loud and clear right now.
[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_03] F you, Clay. Thank you very much.
[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_09] Appreciate that.
[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_03] Yes. Well, I just got a text message from a buddy of mine. He wanted me to ask Clay a very specific question.
[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_09] 50s and 100s.
[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_03] I already know – I already know the answer to this question.
[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_09] Okay.
[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_03] But I'm going to ask it.
[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_09] Sweet.
[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_03] So, I'm in a text group with a bunch of guys back home. I don't respond to it because most of them – well, one specific guy is just an absolute – anyway.
[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_06] Mm-hmm.
[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_03] So, they were trying to watch the stream. They were requesting on the chat for a specific table. Yeah.
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_09] So, that table's banned. They're in the dark tournament next door now.
[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. So, they want to know, why was I put in time out for requesting a table?
[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_09] So, when – a lot of people are asking, table three, table two, table three, table two, which is fine. And then we start with – and by we, I mean me, Clay, to me. I don't – nobody else is rude like this, so don't hate Adam. I say we're watching table one. We're streaming table one. When table one is over, we might bounce to two or three, but this is the match we're watching. And nothing will change that. There is – if God himself came down and said, put it on – I said, you have to strike me with lightning. It's not happening. And then he would. Ouch. And then he would.
[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_09] And then I wouldn't have to answer this stupid-ass question again. Yeah, there you go. So, get on it, God. But anyway, so the point is, I start nice, okay? I start nice. And that's important to know, that I start nice. I don't end nice. I will admit this. So, the first few, they get the no, whatever, no, no. And then eventually, oh, come on, why not? And then this is – this is where I'm not joking. I'm being genuinely, like, for real. It is hard to do all that and then just absorb negativity. Of course.
[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_09] So, when people are crying and, you know, bitching and moaning about not getting their way, I don't want to actually be negative back. So, my best solution is just time them out for a little bit because you're not bringing to the chat what I find to be fun. And I do get to make that decision. You know, unfortunately for those who don't like it, I do get to choose that. And I just think it's funny to do – so, you lose time out. You lose chat privileges just for the weekend. And I do – it's for a million seconds.
[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_09] A million seconds. I just think it's a nice round number. Fifteen people are mad it's worth this right here. I tried 100,000 seconds, but that's only a day or two.
[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_09] So, I just put another second on it. So, if – You can come back next tournament. That'll be a million seconds. Bingo. It's a week and four days.
[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_03] Yep.
[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_09] Roughly 10 days is a million seconds. I love round numbers. Go ahead. So, the idea is to start nice and be polite. But then when people go, hey, come on, what the – you know, they used to do this back in the – If it's not fun for me, I'm putting an end to the thing that I'm not enjoying. And I get to choose that. And I don't power trip. I don't intentionally – I don't enjoy people being upset or sad or pissed or whatever. I do accept that it's a possibility, and I'm okay with it.
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_09] So, yeah, if you're ruining my day, I just put an end to that. It's no different than, like, if my phone is bugging me, I put it on mute. You know, if my kids are bugging me, I put them on mute. It doesn't work as well, but – Yeah, I don't actually do that. But I – so, that's the actual answer is it's bumming me out. I have quite a few tasks that I'm doing at once. I'm doing my best along with my buddy Adam and Danilo Fatal and any of the other Modern Foods guys that are up there.
[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_09] I want the viewing experience to be as good as possible.
[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_07] Yes.
[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_09] And when people swoop in with their own personal request like it's a jukebox, I try to start nice. And then I go very quickly to my second option, which is a timeout for a million seconds.
[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_08] A million. I love it. And, you know, and that's the thing. It's like imagine going to somebody's house and acting like that. Right. Imagine being in somebody's living room and being like, man, where's the Dr. Pepper? But we're just, you know – This forecast three times. I want four times. Yeah. Could you imagine being like that? You'd get timed out. You'd get kicked out. Like I would never invite someone like that. It's the same thing. You come into Archery House and you're hanging out and you look at everybody else that's just having fun, being positive, adding things that are good to the chat.
[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_08] And then you end there and act like, you know, you've got to go rub your ass all over the wall and like own it. Like you think it's yours? Boom. Million seconds. Million seconds. You know, revisit your life and your standards and how you might be. You wouldn't act like that in somebody else's home. Why would you do that with hundreds of other foosers? Yeah. For God's sake.
[00:37:48] [SPEAKER_06] Right. Right.
[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_09] But if a million seconds is too much, I'm open to other options. And then I might actually start letting people choose how many seconds they want. But one thing I know is that when somebody doesn't get their way and then you just time them out for like five minutes or you delete their comment, they're coming back with some more worse stuff. I have messages where I time out somebody because I think that's going to be a problem. I just need to like give me some space. Give me the bud. Yeah. And then I get the message. You son of a, you piece of, you better not ever show up to Oklahoma or wherever they're from that, you know, whatever.
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_09] And it's never been from Oklahoma. That's just my go-to joke. But I get the message and I go, dang, I was right. You just proved me right. And I don't feel bad. I don't feel bad for making it great for 380 people, even if that comes at the expense of pissing off 10. I will piss off 10 to please 380 every time. It's a good ratio.
[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_05] A good investment. Yeah.
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_08] Well, I think that's purely speaks to just the Clay's philosophy on that. Like I don't, as far as how you build a community of people that are being enjoyed, enjoying an experience with each other while being supportive of each other. And it seems to be the loudest, most anonymous voices that you can see out there. But I don't think it just happens as much anymore once you have that standard being set. Right. And you see it now, like this weekend, there was another instance where people will want the camera change from one to two or whatever. Right.
[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_08] And it's just like, and people get the vibe. You see it in the chat. They'll say camera. Camera. You don't need to write a long-winded diatribe about wanting it on this because you're Uncle Meemaw.
[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_09] I had the wrong angle selected. Yeah. So they're being helpful by saying camera, camera, camera. That is welcome. We ask for that. Okay. If it's on the wrong camera and we miss it, say camera, spam camera.
[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_06] Yeah.
[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_09] And we will see that in the chat. Instead of saying.
[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_08] Change it to the other angle. Come on, man. Oh, come on. Yeah. Bro. Yeah. Yeah. Or taking it personally. Yeah. Again, you wouldn't do that in somebody's house.
[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_05] This is a production. And there's a lot that goes into a production. If it's not perfect, we work on it. We get it better. We do the best we can. And electronics will fail. We hit the wrong button.
[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_09] Our electronics don't fail. We don't have gremlins and they don't fail. And all that we're good on. We're modern.
[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Well, I mean. That's your name. Whoa. That's crazy. Whoa.
[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_07] He said the thing. Whoa.
[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_09] We have never had a tech failure. We've never had an internet failure except for three minutes at the beginning of Open Singles at Vegas last year. The tech is the easy part.
[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah.
[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_09] And hear me when I say I assure you I want literally every person to have a good time and enjoy the stream. No matter where you're from. No matter what you think about me. I want you to close the box at the end of the day. And man, I'm glad I spent 10 hours there. That's what I want. I also know that math says it's probably not going to happen for everybody. Yeah. And so the idea is to cast the biggest net as possible. It's always going to be free. I hope it's enjoyable.
[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_09] And I think what it really is is I'm really comfortable receiving heat. My personal life is way more colorful than my foosball life. So the hate that I've received from that far outweighs anything any foosers ever done. So I'll keep doing what I'm doing. And I think, by the way, shout out to Leo LaGuardia in Oklahoma. Speaking of Oklahoma, he's one of our folks in the chat. He sees people getting close to like they're going to the edge of what's okay. And he'll tell them, hey, bro, chill out. You're going to get timed out, man.
[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_03] A million seconds.
[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_09] The masses know. The masses are cool. The hundreds of people that are there with us all day are great and excellent. And every now and then there's just like an errant little mistake that happens. And we try to be gentle. And then gentle doesn't always work. So I hope that answers. And I hope that suffices to the question that you received, Randy. I'm happy to take follow-ups. But I know it's probably not too fun to stay here with. But that's the answer.
[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_03] No, no, dude. He just wanted some clarity. And I sent him a little text message with a little bit of a response. And I told him I'd give him a call. And I got home. Yeah. You know, because, again, I think people see what happens here through the cameras. But they don't understand what happens behind the cameras.
[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_09] You've been back there.
[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, I've been back there. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_09] Ten fingers of twizzling the whole time.
[00:42:03] [SPEAKER_03] Dude, it's like a cockpit on steroids, dude. Say that again. It's a lot.
[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_08] So. Yeah. And I do want to say, for the record. Cock pit.
[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_03] On steroids. Tell you, I'm the worst version of myself right now, dude. Did he get you? I saw a dick to say.
[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_04] I saw a dick to say. He's famous for that.
[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_08] Right in the asofa. Oh, my God. What were you saying?
[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_05] Punching the throat.
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_08] What I was saying was is that we're joking, having fun, but making a good point about this. You know, when you're trying to be involved in an online community that is only growing, it's important to see what is expected of you for those boundaries. But I do want to point out that, absent that, it was a great experience with streaming. There was some cool stuff we were doing this weekend. There's also some learning curves from some people that were happening this weekend that will be changed and addressed to create the best experience for those viewing at home.
[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_08] You can say more about that if you want. How much more?
[00:43:04] [SPEAKER_09] Like, whatever you want to say. What were some of the new things that we added this weekend that you liked that could still be improved
[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_08] and were going to improve? So one of my favorite things that we did this weekend was, on Friday, Clay had control of what was going on on tables one, two, and three. To the point where I was so overwhelmed by how many good foosball matches there were on there that we had to adjust because normally the mindset is that we have pit table number one and we do the match at the beginning. Hey, Modern Foos here, coming to you live from blah, blah, blah, and then wrap it up at the end. And that's something you will see in post-production on YouTube.
[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_05] I got to wonder, now you guys are always clipping. Clipping and what, you got any favorite clips you're going to make use of?
[00:43:52] [SPEAKER_09] From this weekend, I think, well, you were still talking about Friday and then going into Saturday.
[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_08] So how we normally do it is that's table number one, right? There's matches on table one, but because there was like the top 30 players in the United States were here basically this weekend on tables two and three, what was happening was is that we were skipping back and forth for the live stream because we can't. But it was happening so much that this happened twice where I was like, I did my intro pattern and then realized that match was ending. There's a whole other match. All of a sudden it's Billy and whoever, right? And we're like, oh, my gosh. And then over here it's Tony and then over here it's this. So it changed.
[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_08] And we had a game plan and we thought, okay, here's what we're going to do. When he gets to call the matches and see what's happening, table number one is going to be whatever he calls. We know what's going to happen. We know the general time frame of what's going to be happening on two and three. We also know the speed of which it's going to happen generally, right? Right. Stick with table one. When table one is done, we switch to table two and three and do podcast style, just chatting as opposed to like doing the full production that you would see in the post,
[00:44:56] [SPEAKER_08] you know, for YouTube consumption. Right.
[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_07] Okay.
[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_08] Then we wake up Saturday morning for open doubles, which is starting at noon. No names. Please. I'm not going to say anything. I'm just going to say that. No, I would never do that. No, I'm just saying. I'm just covering my butt. Oh, yeah. No, the opportunity, that option was taken. We couldn't do it. And that just changed everything, you know? And that's one of those things, though. It's just part of this growth process. It's all it is. And I know that I was prepared for something that has never been seen in foosball, what we had cooked up that was going to happen. It's going to happen again.
[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_08] It will happen. But that kind of vibe, that kind of feeling where you're getting that kind of production on table one for those matches, and then two and three are like those hors d'oeuvres that you get to be involved in, and then because really what it is, it's just like the two of us hanging out in the living room watching foosball with your buddies, right? That's the whole concept. That's it. It was six hours of unending foosball. It was incredible. With all the top players. And it wasn't Wally Rollover and Uncle Papa. It was freaking look at the room, you know? Yeah, yeah. That's some foosball.
[00:45:56] [SPEAKER_08] As a fan, that is what I find engaging. That's what I want to watch.
[00:46:07] [SPEAKER_05] Oh, this is the most. For sure.
[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_09] As far as tournaments we've covered, definitely the most. And ones I've been to, I mean, it's, I mean, the top 20 seeds in open singles were masters.
[00:46:18] [SPEAKER_03] I think it was 21.
[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:46:20] [SPEAKER_03] 21. Yeah.
[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_09] Billy was 19, and I forget who was 20.
[00:46:24] [SPEAKER_03] I think Mario Yannuzzi was the 21 seed. Yeah. Okay.
[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, is he master? Yeah. Okay. So it was the top 21. You're right.
[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_08] This, it's the most, that deck I think we've, I've ever seen. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:46:38] [SPEAKER_03] When was the last time they had 20 plus masters at a tournament? Crazy. Good question.
[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_09] And by the way, the next, the next 10, 15 seeds after that were the top of the top pros. Pro players. It wasn't just like it fell off. It was Sam Dijon and Sullivan Rue.
[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_03] 4,000 point pros. Yes. Yep.
[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_09] And probably a half a dozen masters in the next few years. Yeah.
[00:47:01] [SPEAKER_05] So mathematically, Sam Dijon, just to mention, is now officially a master? He's not.
[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_09] No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:47:07] [SPEAKER_05] It's not yet, because they have to wait until the end of the year.
[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. So he's not, what's officially mean to you? Well. No.
[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_03] See, Tom? Unofficially. Unofficially.
[00:47:16] [SPEAKER_09] Well, I mean, prematurely.
[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_03] Oh. Here we go again. He's a premature, yeah, premature master. Yeah.
[00:47:33] [SPEAKER_09] He will be a master at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. So I got to battle with that little mofo for the rest of the year. Oh, I think we saw a little of that today. No, I mean, dude, the kid's good, man. Yeah. He's so good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:47:51] [SPEAKER_09] The pro doubles final that they played a little bit earlier. Yeah, what happened? I was eating. How bad was it? Oh, my goodness. Well, it was a quick match, but it was, so game one, Alex and Sam just dominated, and it went quickly to a game two. And Butch and Frank, they jumped out to three to two or four to two, maybe, lead in game two. Okay. Alex and Sam were doing some switching. Sam goes in the back. Bam. Two bar. Four three. Of course. Bam.
[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_09] Two bar. Four four. Bam. Two bar. Five four. Four. He scored three two bar goals. And not like just, I mean, I'm talking like crying more, like, five four.
[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_09] Five four. And then the third game was not close.
[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And so, talking about his two rod, two rod, three rod, like, that just goes to show you the strength of his mechanics. He's been playing since he was a kid. It's not just about learning, but learning the right way. Right. You know, the kid, you know, he's 100 pounds soaking wet. I want to tie him in a knot and hand him back to his dad. He crushes the ball. He shoots. He hits the ball so hard. The kid's just good, man.
[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_03] He has dominated pro doubles and pro singles. I mean, going on two years. I won't say dominated, but as of late, he's just been dominating pro.
[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_05] Well, I was asking Nino how many times he's actually won a pro event. And it's double digits.
[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_03] Well, think about this. Kickoff, now the Hall of Fame. He won pro doubles at the kickoff, and now he won pro doubles at the Hall of Fame.
[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. That wasn't even his first TKO pro doubles. No, no. He won with Sullivan. Yeah.
[00:49:31] [SPEAKER_03] And he was like, I think he was like 13 or 14. Yeah. So, yes. Dude, the kid's good, man.
[00:49:38] [SPEAKER_05] He's just good. It bodes well for the future of the sport. You've got guys like him and Jacob, Balcos, and those guys. I mean, they're pushing this forward.
[00:49:48] [SPEAKER_03] Dude, Jacob beat Brandon in San Diego. Brandon is the number one tornado player. He's the number one WFT, you know, whatever. Yeah. Dude, Jacob handled him in four games.
[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_05] Wow. Wow. So, that's the future. That's the future right there.
[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_03] Well, I can tell you about my future. My future is going to be going up to the room and packing and going to the airport. So, I just ate dinner, and that's the first meal I've sat down and ate all weekend. And it's already like, bro, it's time to go. What did you eat? Went to Benihana's. How was it? I've never been. It was good. Oh.
[00:50:24] [SPEAKER_09] That doesn't sound very high. Yeah. Is it acceptable? Yeah. Look. But it's safe to get on a plane for four hours.
[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_03] Oh. No, no. I have to go see a guy about a dog.
[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_09] That's what you meant when you said you've got to go to the room and pack. Yeah. For real. You have to unpack.
[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_03] I have a very important conference call I have to make. I can read between those lines.
[00:50:42] [SPEAKER_09] You've got to go download some software.
[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_03] I've got to take a dump. For all you listeners. Raw. Raw. Unedited. Raw.
[00:50:55] [SPEAKER_05] The use of English language. Why would you take something that you're leaving? What's the deal with airplane peanuts? What's going on with that? Yeah. I mean, Adam, you've got to chime in on this. No, I don't. Why would I take something that I'm leaving?
[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_09] I don't. I don't do it. When I was locked up, one of my sellies, he would not say I've got to take a piss. He said I've got to throw a piss.
[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_03] Throw a piss. You've got to throw a piss. Okay.
[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_09] So you and my buddy Bargley would get along.
[00:51:21] [SPEAKER_03] See, I say I've got to tinkle like a big boy.
[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_09] I don't actually say much of anything. I just leave.
[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_03] You just go to the – yeah, I have to use the restroom.
[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_09] You do pantomime, though. Yeah, I do pantomime. But that's probably because we're on. I almost forgot I'm on camera. I'm not going to do what I do. I almost showed you what I do when I go. He's seen it. I see it. Yeah, and that is – back to you, Tom. It's effective.
[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_04] Why do you guys always throw it back to me when things go bad? Listen. Because we've got to throw a piss. Yeah, listen.
[00:51:52] [SPEAKER_03] Throw a piss. I'm going to be honest with you. This has been the most fun I've had since I started doing this show. This is the best one. No question. No question. And I had to come to Vegas to do it. Whatever.
[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_09] And somebody had to be timed out for a million seconds. A million seconds.
[00:52:09] [SPEAKER_04] I love round numbers.
[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_09] A million seconds. Yeah.
[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_04] You know what I'm going to miss the most is the $6.50 you pay for a water.
[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_05] That's what I'm going to miss the most.
[00:52:18] [SPEAKER_08] I spent almost $100 on candy bars this weekend.
[00:52:21] [SPEAKER_05] No kidding.
[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_09] I had the best elevator experience I've ever had of my life this weekend. Uh-oh. I'm up on the top. I don't want to know. Oh, wait. I'm on the top floor. My elevator only goes to the top and bottom floors, and it's that first group of elevators.
[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, you told me where your room is. The penthouse?
[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_09] Well, I was trying to keep that part private. Yeah. Yeah. So I go scan my bag, my ID, my, what do they call it? The peasants call it something different. The peasants. The, uh, the, my room, my room key. And it opens, and it opens, yeah. What's that thing?
[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_00] What's that thing? Oh, my room key.
[00:52:58] [SPEAKER_09] I scan, well, George keeps mine. So I, I, or whatever, not George. What's his, um, anyways. So I scan, yeah, the butler. I, I scan, I scan the elevator, and it brings down to floor one, and then takes me up to 29. And so I have, I don't have to wait for the elevators. No stops. It literally says one, 29, and 30. That's amazing. Yeah. Damn. That's pretty good.
[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I had, uh, I got to walk four miles to get to my elevator. Yeah. And today somebody took a piss in it, so it was good. No, it was, it was beer. Somebody spilled beer. No.
[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_09] Did they take a piss or throw a piss?
[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_03] They threw a whole piss in the elevator.
[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_08] 100% piss. Did you actually finish your elevator story? That, that wasn't the best part, right? The, the, I'm, you want me to talk about the room itself? No. Oh. The, the actual elevator experience, what's so funny about being, taking that elevator.
[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. My favorite part was people getting in, because there's six elevators, three on this side, three on this side. And everybody, there's always people going up. So I, I, my elevator, my personal one was. Well, it was, it was, it was the, it was the middle of one of the three. So there's like, every time there's a dozen people waiting for the elevators, I scan my, the rectangle plastic and. The room key.
[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_09] The thing.
[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_00] Room key. Yeah.
[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_09] Room key. Thank you. As a card. And then the elevator comes down, opens up. It's not super obvious to most of the intoxicated people here that that's my elevator. And so they get in with me.
[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_03] They go all the way up to 29.
[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_09] And no, they don't. This is what they, they do. I say, I hold the door. I press 29. Cause I know where I'm going. And then I hold the door and let them come in. I just let them come in. Stick my arm there. And I say, what floor? And they say 17. This one doesn't go there. Sorry. What floor did you say? Oh, 27. Yeah. That'd go there. What about you? And just tell them.
[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_03] And you go down the line of people.
[00:54:58] [SPEAKER_09] And just, or I let them look at it. And that is the best. And they go, oh, I guess. And I go, yeah. And stay out. Get out of my elevator. And it's, and it's the, and it is the best. I loved every.
[00:55:08] [SPEAKER_03] It sounds like a good feeling. Yeah.
[00:55:10] [SPEAKER_09] It's the reason that it's fun to time somebody out for a million seconds. It's the same idea. Yeah. But in elevator form. What chemical does that release in your brain? Well, I have no clean answers right now. That would be dopamine.
[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_00] Dopamine.
[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. Dopamine. And then, and then if I had some, the mushrooms are for the serotonin. The air, the, the elevator is for the dopamine.
[00:55:30] [SPEAKER_03] The dopamine. Yeah.
[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_09] And the endorphins. I don't get those. But yeah, it was a great experience watching people just, just realize that they weren't, they literally could not be on my level.
[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_03] Imagine that, Tom. Every time you use the elevator, you get a dopamine rush. Dude. Yeah. Must be nice.
[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_05] It's, it sounds worth the price of admission. Yeah. No question.
[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_09] Let's do it. It's, it's fun. So after this weekend, I'll be a peasant again, but for the next, you know, 12 hours, get out of my elevator.
[00:55:58] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, enjoy it, buddy. Yeah. Yeah. I got to go get on my peasant elevator and take a dump. Peasant vader.
[00:56:04] [SPEAKER_09] A peasant vader.
[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_05] Dump vader. Throw a dump. We, we, we've, we've straightened that, that issue up. I mean. No, no need in keeping you any longer. I'm sorry, guys. Yeah, yeah.
[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_03] Worst version of myself.
[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_09] 60 minutes is pretty much your, your range. Bro, I'm an hour. That's all you get out of me. Yeah.
[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_03] After that, like, usually at home. I take all my pills before I get on the show. And then after that, I start nodding off about an hour in. So. I see. This weekend, I haven't taken, you know, my sleepy time pills, but I just, I'm just sleepy time. This has been a long, long weekend. Oh, yeah. So I'm done. I'm just done. I want to go home. I want to see my wife and my dog. And.
[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_09] Your lay on heart table.
[00:56:46] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been loving it. Dude, I've been loving that thing.
[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_09] What's the code on that? What do you mean? How do I get 10% off?
[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, foos talk.
[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_09] Foos talk. Yeah. That's it. Foos talk. Put that in the promo.
[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And I got to tell you, dude, shout out to those guys. Man, they had a table at my house super duper quick. So Folsom ordered one. He came over to the house. He loved it so much. He ordered one. I can't get roped on talking about this, man. I'm literally. I got to walk four miles and I got to make it. So.
[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_09] Make it. Can I say like a 30 second shout out to Folsom, by the way? Of course. Yeah, yeah. He was one of the people in the chat who was like, hey, can we go to another table? Because table one was empty.
[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_06] Yeah.
[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_09] And I did what I normally do, which was kind of jackass-y. And I showed table two, empty. I showed table three, empty. I showed table one, empty. I was like, which one do you want? Table one, table two, table three. Then I just went back and forth. And he just busted out laughing. Dude. In the chat. More of that, please.
[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_03] Listen, that guy is the funniest guy I know. I love him. Like legitimately love that. We've already discussed. If anything happens to my wife and his wife, he and I are moving in together.
[00:57:52] Okay.
[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_03] No, no, no. And it's not romantic. It's literally just like two bros. We're like, we're going to make life easy. You work. I work. We're just going to play foosball and hang out. So like, I legitimately love. Look, I love Chris Folsom. Yeah. I'm saying it. It's recorded. That's my guy. Dude, talk to him. He is the fun dude. The stuff that comes out of his mouth.
[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_09] It's viewer of the weekend.
[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_03] Viewer of the weekend.
[00:58:19] [SPEAKER_09] Let's go. Chris Folsom.
[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_03] You are viewer of the weekend.
[00:58:21] [SPEAKER_09] Viewer of the weekend. Let's go. That's a great idea. 2025. World Foosball Tour. What's his handle? Folsom Fooser. Oh, that's Folsom Fooser. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's my guy, dude. Love that dude. That's my guy. Yeah, yeah. He had a laugh. That is the intent when I do that most of the time is to laugh. He didn't get timed out for a million seconds.
[00:58:41] [SPEAKER_03] And that's what's funny because he's the kind of guy, like, he gets it, right? Yeah, of course. You time him out. When he sees you, he's going to kill you. He's going to beat you up so fast. Yeah. No, no. No, dude, Chris is so, he's so laid back. 100%. I love Chris. Good times. I love Chris Folsom.
[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_09] So I did want to sneak that in there for you too.
[00:58:58] [SPEAKER_03] Let's go.
[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_05] So we don't want to make any unnecessary trips to the laundromat for my partner, Randy.
[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_03] I'm not, dude. Look, I'm just worried about my sneakers. I don't want to get any of my sneakers.
[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_09] Wow. That's an impressive... From sneakers to squeakers on Tuesday. Let's go. Let's go. I passed my shoes.
[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_05] Adam, take us out. What do you got for us before we say goodnight?
[00:59:21] [SPEAKER_08] I can, again, a great weekend hanging out with my buddy Clay, with Danilo Fatal. And really, honestly, I just look forward to seeing how this continues to grow because there's a difference between having money and putting your money where your mouth is, like Ryan is doing, and having money, putting where your money where your mouth is, and not listening to anybody around you. And I can tell you that second one, that's not Ryan, and this is only going to go up.
[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah. Clay?
[00:59:49] [SPEAKER_09] Well, I tell you, I've had a lot of positive feedback since we've been doing our thing. I'm finally glad to see people are talking to somebody besides me because Modern Foods is definitely a team effort. And I heard from Adam a lot. A lot of folks came up and said nice things to you. I just want to reiterate that Modern Foods is five people doing five things that make it happen. Danilo Fatal is the reason, if you like stats and you like seeing that stuff on the screen, he's the reason for that. He's the dude. He does most of the setup and teardown logistics.
[01:00:18] [SPEAKER_09] He does more work in a weekend than I do as far as setting up cameras and stuff ever. And he is the reason that this is able to happen. So please send some love to the great Dambulance. And, of course, Adam, always fun working with Adam. And my takeaway this weekend is we should all be moving forward towards something happy and fun and joyful and all that stuff. And if I don't feel like I'm going in the same direction with you, talk to me about it.
[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_09] I'm fine ruffling feathers. I don't want to. But more than anything, I just want to talk with people and make sure we're all on the same page. I freaking love foosball. And I love the people who play foosball. Just cut me some slack and let's have a conversation about it sometime instead of, you know, we'll just stop at that. I love foosball. I want to keep doing things and having more fun. And so thanks for letting us do that. Thanks for letting us talk about it.
[01:01:09] [SPEAKER_05] Dude, thank you for doing what you do. This was a great weekend. And a lot of this has to do with the coverage, the media that's here. And this is about freaking time. That's all I can say. Randy?
[01:01:21] [SPEAKER_03] Always a pleasure. Had a good time, obviously. Love hanging out with you guys, talking foosball. This has been the most fun. Legitimately, this has been the most fun I've had on air. 250 in the books, Tom. Hall of Fame classic in the books, Tom.
[01:01:34] [SPEAKER_05] This is number 250. Cockpit. Yeah.
[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. My favorite place to be in a plane. Ooh.
[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_06] Ooh. What?
[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. So I'm pre-communicating now. It's time to go.
[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_05] With that, Jim. Yes. Thanks for joining us once again live from the World Foosball Tour 2025 Hall of Fame classic from the Westgate in Las Vegas. Nevada. Nevada. And we'll be back again next week for another episode of Foos Talk Live. Stick around for Foos Talk Live's Tournament Beat. Foosball tournaments are everywhere.
